Rotary unmanned aerial vehicles path planning in rough terrain based on multi-objective particle swarm optimization显示文摘This paper presents a path planning approach for rotary unmanned aerial vehicles(R-UAVs)in a known static rough terrain environment. This approach aims to find collision-free and feasible paths with minimum altitude, length and angle variable rate.First,a three-dimensional(3D)modeling method is proposed to reduce the computation burden of the dynamic models of R-UAVs.Considering the length, height and tuning angle of a path, the path planning of R-UAVs is described as a tri-objective optimization problem. Then,an improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is developed. To render the algorithm more effective in dealing with this problem,a vibration function is introduced into the collided solutions to improve the algorithm efficiency.Meanwhile, the selection of the global best position is taken into account by the reference point method. Finally, the experimental environment is built with the help of the Google map and the 3D terrain generator World Machine.Experimental results under two different rough terrains from Guilin and Lanzhou of China demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed algorithm in finding Pareto optimal paths. | XU Zhen ZHANG Enze CHEN Qingwei | 2020 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,1: | 20
Microbiologically influenced corrosion behavior of S32654 super austenitic stainless steel in the presence of marine Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilm显示文摘S32654 super austenitic stainless steel(SASS) is widely used in highly corrosive environments. However, its microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) behavior has not been reported yet. In this study, the corrosion behavior of S32654 SASS caused by a corrosive marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa was investigated using electrochemical measurements and surface analysis techniques. It was found that P. aeruginosa biofilm accelerated the corrosion rate of S325654 SASS, which was demonstrated by a negative shift of the open circuit potential(EOCP), a decrease of polarization resistance and an increase of corrosion current density in the culture medium. The largest pit depth of the coupons exposed in the P.aeruginosa broth for 14 days was 2.83 m, much deeper than that of the control(1.33 m) in the abiotic culture medium. It was likely that the P. aeruginosa biofilm catalyzed the formation of CrO_3, which was detrimental to the passive film, resulting in MIC pitting corrosion. | Huabing Li Chuntian Yang Enze Zhou Chunguang Yang Hao Feng Zhouhua Jiang Dake Xu Tingyue Gu Ke Yang | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,12: | 10
Microbiologically influenced corrosion of titanium caused by aerobic marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa显示文摘Microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC) is a big threat to the strength and safety of many metallic materials used in different environments throughout the world. The metabolites and bioactivity of the microorganisms cause severe deterioration on the metals. In this study, MIC of pure titanium(Ti) was studied in the presence of a highly corrosive aerobic marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The results obtained from electrochemical test showed that Ti was corrosion resistant in the abiotic culture medium after 14 d, while the increased corrosion current density(i_(corr)) obtained from polarization curves and the decreased charge transfer resistance(R_(ct)) from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)indicated the accelerated corrosion of Ti caused by P. aeruginosa biofilm. For further confirmation of the above results, the surface of Ti was investigated using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), confocal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). According to the XPS results, TiO_2 was formed in both abiotic and biotic conditions, while unstable oxide Ti_2O_3 was detected in the presence of P. aeruginosa, leading to the defects in the passive film and localized corrosion. Pitting corrosion was investigated with the help of CLSM, and the largest pit depth found on Ti surface immersed in P. aeruginosa was 1.2 μm. Ti was not immune to MIC caused by P. aeruginosa. | M.Saleem Khan Zhong Li Ke Yang Dake Xu Chunguang Yang Dan Liu Yassir Lekbach Enze Zhou Phuri Kalnaowakul | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,1: | 8
A novel Cu-bearing high-entropy alloy with significant antibacterial behavior against corrosive marine biofilms显示文摘The design of novel high-entropy alloys(HEAs)provides a unique opportunity for the development of structure-function integrated materials with high mechanical and antimicrobial properties. In this study,by employing the antibacterial effect of copper,a novel Al0.4CoCrCuFeNi HEA with broad-spectrum antibacterial and strong mechanical properties was designed.High concentrations of copper ions released from the HEA prevented growth and biofilm formation by biocorrosive marine bacterial species. These findings serve as a proof-of-concept for further development of unique HEA materials with high antimicrobial efficiency and mechanical properties, compared to conventional antibacterial alloys. | Enze Zhou Dongxu Qiao Yi Yang Dake Xu Yiping Lu Jianjun Wang Jessica A.Smith Huabing Li Hongliang Zhao Peter K.Liaw Fuhui Wang | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,11: | 6
Methanogenic archaea and sulfate reducing bacteria induce severe corrosion of steel pipelines after hydrostatic testing显示文摘Complex interactions within a microbial consortium can induce severe corrosion in oil pipelines. This study investigated the mechanism of microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC)that led to failure of X52 steel pipelines after hydrostatic testing.Laboratory hydrostatic testing with untreated lake water and underground water were used to simulate and study the events that led to the actual corrosion.Biofilm analysis, weight loss, and several electrochemical measurements demonstrated rapid corrosion rates after hydrostatic testing.Analysis of microbial community structures revealed that methanogenic archaea and sulfate reducing bacteria(SRB),introduced by the hydrotest water, formed corrosive biofilms on X52 steel coupon surfaces that induced severe pitting. | Enze Zhou Jianjun Wang Masoumeh Moradi Huabing Li Dake Xu Yuntian Lou Jinheng Luo Lifeng Li Yulei Wang Zhenguo Yang Fuhui Wang Jessica A.Smith | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,13: | 5
Enhanced resistance of 2205 Cu-bearing duplex stainless steel towards microbiologically influenced corrosion by marine aerobic Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms显示文摘An antibacterial 2205-Cu duplex stainless steel(DSS)was shown to inhibit the formation and growth of corrosive marine biofilms by direct contact with copper-rich phases and the release of Cu^(2+)ions from the2205-Cu DSS surface. In this work, the microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC)resistance of 2205-Cu DSS in the presence of the corrosive marine bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa was investigated. The addition of copper improved the mechanical properties such as the yield strength, the tensile strength and the hardness of 2205 DSS.Electrochemical test results from linear polarization resistance(LPR),electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and critical pitting temperature(CPT)measurements showed that 2205-Cu DSS possessed a larger polarization resistance(R_p),charge transfer resistance(R_(ct))and CPT values, indicating the excellent MIC resistance of 2205-Cu DSS against the corrosive P.aeruginosa biofilm. The live/dead staining results and the SEM images of biofilm confirmed the strong antibacterial ability of 2205-Cu DSS.The largest pit depth of 2205-Cu DSS was considerably smaller than that of 2205 DSS after 14 d in the presence of P.aeruginosa(2.2μm vs 12.5μm).2205-Cu DSS possessed a superior MIC resistance to regular 2205 DSS in the presence of aerobic P.aeruginosa. | Dake Xu Enze Zhou Ying Zhao Huabing Li Zhiyong Liu Dawei Zhang Chunguang Yang Hai Lin Xiaogang Li Ke Yang | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,8: | 4

Dimensional Gradient Structure of CoSe2@CNTs-MXene Anode Assisted by Ether for High-Capacity,Stable Sodium Storage显示文摘Recently, abundant resources,low-cost sodium-ion batteries are deemed to the new-generation battery in the field of largescale energy storage.Nevertheless, poor active reaction dynamics, dissolution of intermediates and electrolyte matching problems are significant challenges that need to be solved.Herein, dimensional gradient structure of sheet-tube-dots is constructed with CoSe2@CNTs-MXene.Gradient structure is conducive to fast migration of electrons and ions with the association of ether electrolyte. For half-cell,CoSe2@CNTs-MXene exhibits high initial coulomb efficiency(81.7%)and excellent cycling performance(400 mAh g^-1 cycling for 200 times in 2 Ag^−1).Phase transformation pathway from crystalline CoSe2-Na2Se with Co and then amorphous CoSe2 in the discharge/charge process is also explored by in situ X-ray diffraction.Density functional theory study discloses the CoSe2@CNTs-MXene in ether electrolyte system which contributes to stable sodium storage performance owing to the strong adsorption force from hierarchical structure and weak interaction between electrolyte and electrode interface. For full cell,CoSe2@CNTs-MXene//Na3V2(PO4)3/C full battery can also afford a competitively reversible capacity of 280 mAh g^−1 over 50 cycles.Concisely, profiting from dimensional gradient structure and matched electrolyte of CoSe2@CNTs-MXene hold great application potential for stable sodium storage. | Enze Xu Pengcheng Li Junjie Quan Hanwen Zhu Li Wang Yajing Chang Zhenjie Sun Lei Chen Dabin Yu Yang Jiang | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,2: | 1
Direct laser patterning of two-dimensional lateral transition metal disulfide-oxide-disulfide heterostructures for ultrasensitive sensors显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures based on the combination of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)and transition metal oxides(TMOs)have aroused growing attention due to their integrated merits of both components and multiple functionalities. However, nondestructive approaches of constructing TMD-TMO heterostructures are still very limited. Here,we develop a novel type of lateral TMD-TMO heterostructure(NbS2-Nb2O5-NbS2)using a simple lithography-free,direct laser-patterning technique. The perfect contact of an ultrathin TMO channel(Nb2O5)with two metallic TMDs(NbS2)electrodes guarantee strong electrical signals in a two-terminal sensor.Distinct from sensing mechanisms in separate TMOs or TMDs,this sensor works based on the modulation of surface conduction of the ultrathin TMO(Nb2O5)channel through an adsorbed layer of water molecules. The sensor thus exhibits high selectivity and ultrahigh sensitivity for room-temperature detection of NH3(ΔR/R=80%at 50 ppm),superior to the reported NH3 sensors based on 2D materials, and a positive temperature coefficient of resistance as high as 15%–20%/℃.Bending-invariant performance and high reliability are also demonstrated in flexible versions of sensors. Our work provides a new strategy of lithography-free processing of novel TMD-TMO heterostructures towards high-performance sensors, showing great potential in the applications of future portable and wearable electronics. | Bolun Wang Hao Luo Xuewen Wang Enze Wang Yufei Sun Yu-Chien Tsai Jinxuan Dong Peng Liu Huanglong Li Yong Xu Sefaattin Tongay Kaili Jiang Shoushan Fan Kai Liu | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,8: | 1
Two-dimensional ferromagnetic superlattices显示文摘Mechanically exfoliated two-dimensional ferromagnetic materials(2D FMs)possess long-range ferromagnetic order and topologically nontrivial skyrmions in few layers. However, because of the dimensionality effect, such few-layer systems usually exhibitmuch lower Curie temperature(TC)compared to their bulk counterparts. It is therefore of great interest to explore effective approaches to enhance their TC,particularly in wafer-scale for practical applications. Here,we report an interfacial proximity-induced high-TC 2D FM Fe3GeTe2(FGT)via A-type antiferromagnetic material CrSb(CS)which strongly couples to FGT.A superlattice structure of(FGT/CS)n,where n stands for the period of FGT/CS heterostructure, has been successfully produced with sharp interfaces by molecular-beam epitaxy on 2-inch wafers.By performing elemental specific X-ray magnetic circular dichroism(XMCD)measurements,we have unequivocally discovered that TC of 4-layer Fe3GeTe2 can be significantly enhanced from 140 K to 230 K because of the interfacial ferromagnetic coupling.Meanwhile,an inverse proximity effect occurs in the FGT/CS interface, driving the interfacial antiferromagnetic CrSb into a ferrimagnetic state as evidenced by double-switching behavior in hysteresis loops and the XMCD spectra.Density functional theory calculations show that the Fe-Te/Cr-Sb interface is strongly FMcoupled and doping of the spin-polarized electrons by the interfacial Cr layer gives rise to the TC enhancement of the Fe3GeTe2 films,in accordance with our XMCDmeasurements.Strikingly,by introducing rich Fe in a 4-layer FGT/CS superlattice,TC can be further enhanced to near room temperature. Our results provide a feasible approach for enhancing the magnetic order of few-layer 2D FMs in wafer-scale and render opportunities for realizing realistic ultra-thin spintronic devices. | Shanshan Liu Ke Yang Wenqing Liu Enze Zhang Zihan Li Xiaoqian Zhang Zhiming Liao Wen Zhang Jiabao Sun Yunkun Yang Han Gao Ce Huang Linfeng Ai Ping Kwan Johnny Wong Andrew Thye Shen Wee Alpha TN’Diaye Simon AMorton Xufeng Kou Jin Zou Yongbing Xu Hua Wu Faxian Xiu | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,4: | 0
Study of cadmium(Cd)-induced oxidative stress in Eisenia fetida based on mathematical modelling显示文摘As a sensitive biological indicator, earthworms are widely used to monitor various pollutants of soil and provide an early warning for soil pollution. However, because many indices are involved in the exposure-induced oxidative stress response, practical applications of these indices are quite inconvenient. Therefore,it is appropriate to investigate the key monitoring index for use in early warning and pollution monitoring.Using Eisenia fetida as an experimental model in an indoor simulation experiment, the mathematical modelling of the effect on oxidative stress in earthworms under cadmium(Cd)stress was studied. The test lasted 40 d,with the removal of one earthworm every 10 d.The Cd2+concentration gradient was set as 0,1,10,20,100,200,400,and 800 mg kg^(-1) dry weight. The earthworms were divided into two sections from the clitellum for the determination of total protein(TP)and peroxidase(POD),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione-S-transferase(GST),glutathione peroxidase(GPX),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA),and acetylcholinesterase(AChE)activities. Results showed that POD was the key index of oxidative stress in head tissues after 10 d of exposure,TP was the key index at 20 d,and POD became the key index again at 30 and 40 d.By contrast,in tail tissues,MDA and SOD were the key indices at an exposure time of 10 d,GPX at 20 d,CAT and TP at 30 d,and POD and MDA at 40 d.These results contribute to establishing a scientific method for ecotoxicological diagnosis and revealing the mechanism of soil Cd toxicity. | Yucui NING Haoran ZHOU Enze WANG Congmin JIN Ying YU Xu CAO Dongxing ZHOU | 2021 | Pedosphere2021,31,3: | 0

Tuning 2D magnetism in Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) films by element doping显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)ferromagnetic materials have been discovered with tunable magnetism and orbital-driven nodal-line features.Controlling the 2D magnetism in exfoliated nanoflakes via electric/magnetic fields enables a boosted Curie temperature(T_(C))or phase transitions. One of the challenges, however,is the realization of high T_(C) 2D magnets that are tunable, robust and suitable for large scale fabrication. Here,we report molecular-beam epitaxy growth of wafer-scale Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) films with T_(C) above room temperature.By controlling the Fe composition in Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2),a continuously modulated T_(C) in a broad range of 185–320 K has been achieved. This widely tunable TC is attributed to the doped interlayer Fe that provides a 40%enhancement around the optimal composition X=2.We further fabricated magnetic tunneling junction device arrays that exhibit clear tunneling signals. Our results show an effective and reliable approach,i.e.element doping,to producing robust and tunable ferromagnetism beyond room temperature in a large-scale 2D Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) fashion. | Shanshan Liu Zihan Li Ke Yang Enze Zhang Awadhesh Narayan Xiaoqian Zhang Jiayi Zhu Wenqing Liu Zhiming Liao Masaki Kudo Takaaki Toriyama Yunkun Yang Qiang Li Linfeng Ai Ce Huang Jiabao Sun Xiaojiao Guo Wenzhong Bao Qingsong Deng Yanhui Chen Lifeng Yin Jian Shen Xiaodong Han Syo Matsumura Jin Zou Yongbing Xu Xiaodong Xu Hua Wu Faxian Xiu | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,6: | 0
Formation of CaCO_(3) hollow microspheres in carbonated distiller waste from Solvay soda ash plants显示文摘For decades, distiller waste and CO_(2) were not the first choice for production of high valued products.Here,CaCO_(3) hollow microspheres,a high-value product was synthesized from such a reaction system. The synthetic methods, the formation mechanism and operational cost were discussed. When 2.5 L·min^(–1)·L^(–1) CO_(2) was flowed into distiller waste(pH=11.4),spheres with 4–13μm diameters and about 2μm shell thickness were obtained. It is found that there is a transformation of CaCO_(3) particles from solid-cubic nuclei to hollow spheres.Firstly, the Ca(OH)_(2) in the distiller waste stimulated the nucleation of calcite with a non-template effect and further maintained the calcite form and prevented the formation of vaterite. Therefore,in absence of auxiliaries, the formation of hollow structures mainly depended on the growth and aging of CaCO_(3).Studies on the crystal morphology and its changes during the growth process point to the inside–out Ostwald effect in the formation of hollow spheres.Change in chemical properties of the bulk solution caused changes in interfacial tension and interfacial energy, which promoted the morphological transformation of CaCO_(3) particles from cubic calcite to spherical clusters. Finally, the flow process for absorption of CO_(2) by distiller waste was designed and found profitable. | Wenjiao Xu Huaigang Cheng Enze Li Zihe Pan Fangqin Cheng | 2022 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,11: | 0
Oral microbiota accelerates corrosion of 316L stainless steel for orthodontic applications显示文摘In this work, microbiologically influenced corrosion(MIC)of 316 L stainless steel(SS)caused by oral microbiota was investigated with HOMINGS 16 S rRNA gene sequencing technology, and electrochemical and surface analysis techniques. The results showed that oral microbiota from different subjects developed multi-species biofilms with significant differences in structure and composition of bacteria strains on the316 L SS coupons. In the presence of oral microbiota, more severe pitting corrosion and faster dissolution of metallic ions including Ni and Cr were observed. The biofilm considerably decreased the pitting potential of 316 L SS from 1268.0±29.1 mV vs.SCE(abiotic control)to less than 500 mV vs.SCE.The corrosion current density in the presence of oral microbiota from subject 1(115.3±83.3 nA cm^(-2))and subject 2(184.4±162.0 nA cm^(-2))was at least 4 times more than that in the abiotic medium(28.0±2.3 nA cm^(-2)).The electroactive microorganisms with the potential to facilitate corrosion via extracellular electron transfer found in oral microbiota may be mainly responsible for the accelerated corrosion. | Qingfu Wang Mingxing Zhang Chuntian Yang Yi Yang Enze Zhou Pan Liu Daiqiang Jin Dake Xu Lin Wu Fuhui Wang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,33: | 0
