| 1 | Experimental investigation on operating instability of a dual compensation chamber loop heat pipe显示文摘The operating instability of a dual compensation chamber loop heat pipe (DCC-LHP) including temperature hysteresis, reverse flow and temperature oscillation is described and explained in this paper. Test results indicate that the steady state operating temperature under the variable conductance mode is not the same during the power cycle tests with the same heat load, and it is lower during the power reduction cycle than that during the power increase cycle. Orientation has an effect on the heat load range when temperature hysteresis occurs, and the effect of power variation amplitude can be ignored. Reverse flow tends to occur in some of the startups at low heat loads, even if vapor existed in the vapor grooves initially, which is caused by a higher pressure inside the wick due to evaporation in the evaporator core or vapor penetration into it. Temperature oscillation tends to occur in some of the startups at low head loads or some steady-state operations at high heat loads. | 2 | Hydrodynamic process of Tibetan Plateau lake revealed by grain size:Case study of Pumayum Co显示文摘Under the background of global warming,some lakes on the Tibetan Plateau(TP) are potentially sensitive to temperature change.With a case study of Pumayum Co,where glacier meltwater is important to supply(we call this a glacier-fed lake hereafter),we analyze the sensitivity of lake sediment grain size to temperature change.This is done by resolving the modern hydrodynamic process,coupled with comparison of paleoclimatic proxies.According to the spatial distributions of parameters,percentage of grain size and the grain size frequency distribution curve,hydrodynamic processes are analyzed.Five clastic sedimentation types are thereby discriminated.In the open lake area,suspended load transport is the main transport agent.Grain Size Trend Analysis(GSTA),a sediment dynamics model,reveals a trend toward eastward transport.This indicates that the largest and glacier-fed river,the Jiaqu River,influences the entire lake(not just the subsurface alluvial fan),and that lake sediment grain size may serve as a temperature indicator.Time series comparison between grain size of a short core from the central lake and meteorological data confirms this temperature indication,which in turn shows reliability of the method discriminating the hydrodynamic process.This case study will improve the ability of paleoclimatic reconstruction using lake sediment in glacier-fed lakes on the Tibetan Plateau. | JU JianTing ZHU LiPing FENG JinLiang WANG JunBo WANG Yong XIE ManPing PENG Ping ZHEN XiaoLin LÜXinMiao | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,19: | 7 |

| 6 | Melatonin alleviates valproic acid-induced neural tube defects by modulating Src/PI3K/ERK signaling and oxidative stress显示文摘Neural tube defects(NTDs)represent a developmental disorder of the nervous system that can lead to significant disability in children and impose substantial social burdens.Valproic acid(VPA),a widely prescribed first-line antiepileptic drug for epilepsy and various neurological conditions,has been associated with a 4-fold increase in the risk of NTDs when used during pregnancy.Consequently,urgent efforts are required to identify innovative pre-vention and treatment approaches for VPA-induced NTDs.Studies have demonstrated that the disruption in the delicate balance between cell proliferation and apoptosis is a crucial factor contributing to NTDs induced by VPA.Encouragingly,our current data reveal that melatonin(MT)significantly inhibits apoptosis while promoting the restoration of neuroepithelial cell proliferation impaired by VPA.Moreover,further investigations demonstrate that MT substantially reduces the incidence of neural tube malformations resulted from VPA exposure,primarily by suppressing apoptosis through the modulation of intracellular reactive oxygen species levels.In addition,the Src/PI3K/ERK signaling pathway appears to play a pivotal role in VPA-induced NTDs,with significant inhibition ob-served in the affected samples.Notably,MT treatment successfully reinstates Src/PI3K/ERK signaling,thereby offering a potential underlying mechanism for the protective effects of MT against VPA-induced NTDs.In summary,our current study substantiates the considerable protective potential of MT in mitigating VPA-triggered NTDs,thereby offering valuable strategies for the clinical management of VPA-related birth defects. | Yuxiang Liang Ying Wang Xiao Zhang Shanshan Jin Yuqian Guo Zhaowei Yu Xinrui Xu Qizhi Shuai Zihan Feng Binghong Chen Ting Liang Ruifang Ao Jianting Li Juan Zhang Rui Cao Hong Zhao Zhaoyang Chen Zhizhen Liu Jun Xie | 2024 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2024,56,1: | 0 |

| 8 | Synthesis and assembly of full-length cyanophage A-4L genome显示文摘Artificial cyanophages are considered to be an effective biological method to control harmful cyanobacterial bloom.However,no synthetic cyanophage genome has been constructed and where its obstacles are unclear.Here,we survey a stretch of 16 kb length sequence of cyanophage A-4L that is unclonable in Escherichia coli.We test 12 predicted promoters of cyanophage A-4L which were verified all active in E.coli.Next,we screen for eight ORFs that hindered the assembly of intermediate DNA fragments in E.coli and describe that seven ORFs in the 16 kb sequence could not be separately cloned in E.coli.All of unclonable ORFs in high-copy-number plasmid were successfully cloned using low-copy-number vector,suggesting that these ORFs were copy-number-dependent.We propose a clone strategy abandoned the promotor and the start codon that could be applied for unclonable ORFs.Last,we de novo synthesized and assembled the full-length genome of cyanophage A-4L.This work deepens the understanding of synthetic cyanophages studies. | Ting Zhang Bonan Xu Jia Feng Pingbo Ge Guorui Li Jiabao Zhang Jianting Zhou Jianlan Jiang | 2023 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2023,8,1: | 0 |
| 9 | Dimensional crossover tuned by pressure in layered magnetic NiPS_(3)显示文摘The physical properties of most 2D materials are highly dependent on the nature of their interlayer interaction.In-depth studies of the interlayer interaction are beneficial to the understanding of the physical properties of 2D materials and permit the development of related devices.Layered magnetic NiPS_(3)has unique magnetic and electronic properties.The electronic band structure and corresponding magnetic state of NiPS_(3)are expected to be sensitive to the interlayer interaction,which can be tuned by external pressure.Here,we report an insulator-metal transition accompanied by the collapse of magnetic order during the 2D-3D structural crossover induced by hydrostatic pressure.A two-stage phase transition from a monoclinic(C2/m)to a trigonal(P31m)lattice is identified via ab initio simulations and confirmed via high-pressure X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering;this transition corresponds to a layer-by-layer slip mechanism along the a-axis.Temperature-dependent resistance measurements and room temperature infrared spectroscopy under different pressures demonstrate that the insulator-metal transition and the collapse of the magnetic order occur at~20 GPa,which is confirmed by low-temperature Raman scattering measurements and theoretical calculations.These results establish a strong correlation between the structural change,electric transport,and magnetic phase transition and expand our understanding of layered magnetic materials.Moreover,the structural transition caused by the interlayer displacement has significance for designing similar devices at ambient pressure. | Xiaoli Ma Yimeng Wang Yunyu Yin Binbin Yue Jianhong Dai Jinguang Cheng Jianting Ji Feng Jin Fang Hong Jian-Tao Wang Qingming Zhang Xiaohui Yu | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,9: | 0 |
