1Comparative Analysis of JmjC Domain-containing Proteins Reveals the Potential Histone Demethylases in Arabidopsis and Rice显示文摘Histone methylation homeostasis is achieved by controlling the balance between methylation and demethylation to maintain chromatin function and developmental regulation. In animals, a conserved Jumonji C (JmjC) domain was found in a large group of histone demethylases. However, it is still unclear whether plants also contain the JmjC domaincontaining active histone demethylases. Here we performed genome-wide screen and phylogenetic analysis of JmjC domain-containing proteins in the dicot plant, Arabidopsis, and monocot plant rice, and found 21 and 20 JmjC domaincontaining, respectively. We also examined the expression of JmjC domain-containing proteins and compared them to human JmjC counterparts for potential enzymatic activity. The spatial expression patterns of the Arabidopsis JmjC domaincontaining genes revealed that they are all actively transcribed genes. 3Cell totipotency:molecular features,induction,and maintenance显示文摘In mammals, pluripotent stem cells can give rise to every cell type of embryonic lineage, and hold great potential in regenerative medicine and disease modeling. Guided by the mechanism underlying pluripotency, pluripotent stem cells have been successfully induced through manipulating the transcriptional and epigenetic networks of various diferentiated cell types. However, the factors that confer totipotency, the ability to give rise to cells in both embryonic and extra-embryonic lineages still remain poorly understood. It is currently unknown whether totipotency can be induced and maintained in vitro. 4Novel vertical channel double gate structures for high density and low power flash memory applications显示文摘The flash memory technology meets physical and technical obstacles in further scaling. New structures and new materials are implemented as possible solutions. This paper focuses on two kinds of new flash cells for high density and low power memory applications based on the vertical channel double gate structure. The proposed VD-NROM with dual-nitride-trapping-layer and vertical structure can achieve four-bit-per-cell storage capability. And the proposed VSAS-FG cell benefits the high programming efficiency, low power and high density capability, which can be realized without any additional mask and can achieve the self-alignment of the split-gate channel and the floating-gate. 5Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals Nestin+active neural stem cells outside the central canal after spinal cord injury显示文摘Neural stem cells(NSCs)in the spinal cord hold great potential for repair after spinal cord injury(SCI).The ependyma in the central canal(CC)region has been considered as the NSCs source in the spinal cord.However,the ependyma function as NSCs after SCI is still under debate.We used Nestin as a marker to isolate potential NSCs and their immediate progeny,and characterized the cells before and after SCI by single-cell RNA-sequencing(scRNA-seq).We identified two subgroups of NSCs:the subgroup located within the CC cannot prime to active NSCs after SCI,while the subgroup located outside the CC were activated and exhibited the active NSCs properties after SCI.We demonstrated the comprehensive dynamic transcriptome of NSCs from quiescent to active NSCs after SCI.This study reveals that Nestin+cells outside CC were NSCs that activated upon SCI and may thus serve as endogenous NSCs for regenerative treatment of SCI in the future.Muya Shu Xiaoyu Xue Hu Nie Xianming Wu Minghan Sun Lianyong Qiao Xing Li Bai Xu Zhifeng Xiao Yannan Zhao Yongheng Fan Bing Chen Jixiang Zhang Ya Shi Yaming Yang Falong Lu Jianwu Dai 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,2:2
6Yield photosynthesis and leaf anatomy of maize in inter-and mono-cropping systems at varying plant densities显示文摘Increasing plant density can increase cereal crop yields. However, the physiological and anatomical mechanisms of grain yield increase at high plant densities in maize-based intercropping systems are not well understood. A two-year field experiment was conducted in 2018 and 2019 to investigate grain yield, photosynthetic characteristics, stomatal traits, and leaf anatomy of maize plants in an intercropping system with high plant densities. Two cropping patterns(monocropping and intercropping) and three plant densities(D1, 78,000 plants ha^(-1);D2, 103,500 plants ha^(-1);D3, 129,000 plants ha;were arranged in a randomized block design. Increasing maize plant density significantly increased maize yield, and intercropping gave a significant yield advantage over monocropping under the same plant density. Intercropping combined with high plant density increased the leaf area and SPAD value of maize,increasing the photosynthesis rates after the harvest of pea. At the twelfth leaf stage, the stomatal density and stomatal area of intercrops combined with medium plant density increased by respectively 10.5%and 18.4% relative to their values for the corresponding density of monocrops. Although leaf thickness of maize was reduced by increasing plant density, the chloroplast number and grana lamella number were higher in intercropping than in monocropping under different plant densities. 13Preparation of Poly(o-toluidine)/Nano ZrO2/Epoxy Composite Coating and Its Application for Corrosion Protection of Steel显示文摘The main objective was to study the anticorrosion performance of poly(o-toluidine)/nano ZrO_2/epoxy composite coating.Poly(o-toluidine)/nano ZrO_2 composite was prepared by in situ polymerization of o-toluidine monomer in the presence of nano ZrO_2 particles.Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),UV-visible spectroscopy(UV-vis),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and Thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) were used to characterize the composition and structure of the composite.Poly(o-toluidine)/nano ZrO_2 composite was mixed with epoxy resin through a solution blending method and the three components poly(o-toluidine)/nano ZrO_2/epoxy composite coating was coated onto the surface of steel sample by the brush coating method.The anticorrosion performance of poly(o-toluidine)/nano ZrO_2/epoxy composite coating on steel sample was studied by polarization curve and electrochemical impendence spectroscopy in 3.5% Na Cl solution as corrosion environment and also compared with that of poly(o-toluidine)/epoxy composite coating and pure epoxy coating.It was observed that the composite coating containing poly(otoluidine)/nano ZrO_2 composite has got higher corrosion protection ability than that of poly(o-toluidine).The electrochemical measurement results demonstrated that poly(o-toluidine) fillers improve the electrochemical anticorrosion performance of epoxy coating and the addition of nano ZrO_2 particles increases the tortuosity of the diffusion pathway of corrosive substances.胡传波 郑燕升 QING Yongquan WANG Falong MO Chunyan MO Qian 2016Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2016,31,4:1
