1Epidemiological transition of colorectal cancer in developing countries: Environmental factors, molecular pathways, and opportunities for prevention显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one of the leading causes of cancer and cancer-related mortality worldwide.The disease has been traditionally a major health problem in industrial countries,however the CRC rates are increasing in the developing countries that are undergoing economic growth.Several environmental risk factors,mainly changes in diet and life style,have been suggested to underlie the rise of CRC in these populations.Diet and lifestyle impinge on nuclear receptors,on the intestinal microbiota and on crucial molecular pathways that are implicated in intestinal carcinogenesis.In this respect,the epidemiological transition in several regions of the world offers a unique opportunity to better understand CRC carcinogenesis by studying the disease phenotypes and their environmental and molecular associations in different populations.The data from these studies may have important implications for the global prevention and treatment of CRC.Faraz Bishehsari Mahboobeh Mahdavinia Michele Vacca Reza Malekzadeh Renato Mariani-Costantini 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,20:18
2超声辅助搅拌摩擦焊对AZ91-C镁合金显微组织和力学性能的影响(英文)显示文摘将超声辅助搅拌摩擦焊(UaFSW)与传统搅拌摩擦焊(FSW)相比,研究超声振动对AZ91-C镁合金显微组织和力学性能的影响。当FSW的转速为1400 r/min、焊接速度为40 mm/min时,没有观察到缺陷。在相同条件下,引入振幅为15μm超声振动,用光学显微镜和扫描电镜观察样品的显微组织。结果显示,与传统FSW相比,Ua FSW焊缝的显微组织更细小,原先粗大的β-Mg17Al12枝晶被分离成非常细小、部分球形的颗粒,且均匀分布在α-Mg基体中。在超声振动和搅拌摩擦的共同作用下,材料产生严重的塑性变形,使显微组织发生明显的变化。焊缝拉伸和硬度测试的结果显示,超声振动大大提高传统FSW接头的力学性能,UaFSW焊缝的抗拉强度和硬度分别从195 MPa和HV 79提高到225 MPa和HV 87。Faraz BARADARANI Amir MOSTAFAPOUR Maghsoud SHALVANDI 2019Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2019,29,12:10
3Improved recovery of a low-grade refractory gold ore using flotation–preoxidation–cyanidation methods显示文摘In this work, different flotation–preoxidation–cyanidation methods are considered for treating a lowgrade refractory gold ore. On the one hand, the results of selective flotation show that 22% and 31.1%of total Sb and As, respectively, remained in the final tailings and only about 28% of the total Au remained for further cyanidation processes. On the other hand, in bulk method of flotation the maximum Au recovery of 90.6% achieved after 60 min of flotation at the grind size with K80 of 146 micron. In addition, the bulk flotation method resulted in the concentrate with low concentrations of Sb and As elements. To improve the recovery of low-grade refractory gold ores, flotation should be followed by roasting, biological, or pressure oxidation processes so that the gold could be liberated prior to cyanidation processes. It is also found that the pressure oxidation pre-treatment of the concentrates prior to cyanidation may yield high gold recoveries of over than 83%. In these processes, recoveries are controlled by the temperature and the oxygen partial pressure in the solvent. 5Synthesis of HTLcs modified by K_(3)PO_(4) for side chain alkylation of toluene with methanol显示文摘A series of calcined HTLcs catalysts were prepared and modified with potassium phosphate by impregnation method to clarify the influence of catalyst alkalinity on the side chain alkylation of toluene with methanol for synthesis of ethylbenzene and styrene.The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),N_(2)physical adsorption-desorption,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS),NH_(3)temperature-programmed desorption(NH_(3)-TPD)and CO_(2)temperature-programmed desorption(CO_(2)-TPD).It was found that the selectivity of styrene was highest(39.25%)when the K_(3)PO_(4)loading was 7.5 wt%.And the total yield of styrene and ethylbenzene could reach 65.08%with 10 wt%K_(3)PO_(4)loading.This might due to the fact that the addition of K_(3)PO_(4)could adjust the acid and basic sites of catalysts.In addition,appropriate strength and amount of basic sites were favorable to producing more styrene.Chunyao Hao Yueli Wen Bin Wang Faraz Ahmad Yuhua Liu Huijun Li Wei Huang 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,6:6
6Effects of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena on nulliparous women's pain and anxiety of labor during first stage of labor显示文摘Background: Reducing labor pain and anxiety is one of the most important goals of maternity care.Objective: This study aimed to assess the effects of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena on pain and anxiety in the first stage of labor among nulliparous women.Design, setting, participants and interventions: This was a randomized clinical trial of 110 nulliparous women. The eligible participants were randomly assigned to two groups of aromatherapy and control in an Iranian maternity hospital. The participants received 0.08 m L of Rosa damascena essence in the aromatherapy group and 0.08 m L of normal saline in the control group, every 30 min. Pain was measured 3 times, once each at three stages of cervical dilation(4–5, 6–7, and 8–10 cm). Anxiety was measured twice,once each at two stages of cervical dilation(4–7 and 8–10 cm). The tools for data collection were the Spielberger anxiety questionnaire, numerical pain rating scale, demographic and obstetric questionnaire,and an observational checklist. Data analyses included the t-test, Mann–Whitney U test and Chi-square test.Main outcome measures: Severity of labor pain and severity of anxiety were used as primary outcome measures. Labor and delivery characteristics(including number of contractions, duration of contractions in second stage, Bishop score, augmentation by oxytocin, Apgar score, and mode of delivery), demographic characteristics, and fertility information were used as secondary outcome measures.Results: Pain severity in the group receiving aromatherapy with R. damascena was significantly lower than in the control group after treatment at each pain assessment(cervical dilation of 4–5, 6–7, and8–10 cm; P < 0.05). Anxiety levels were also significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group after treatment at each time of measurement(cervical dilation of 4–7 and 8–10 cm; P < 0.05).Conclusion: Aromatherapy with R. damascena reduced the severity of pain and anxiety in the first stage of labor. 8槟榔子中抗血小板聚集及抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的有效成分(英文)显示文摘目的:研究槟榔子(Areca catechu)粗提取物中所含的抗血小板聚集及抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的有效成分及其作用机制。方法:使用70%甲醇水溶液对槟榔子进行粗提取。使用生物发光血小板凝集仪在富血小板血浆中测定槟榔子粗提取物的抗血小板聚集作用,使用分光光度计在试管内测定槟榔子粗提取物对乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的抑制作用。检测槟榔子中的多种化合物以测定槟榔子中抗血小板聚集及抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的有效成分。结果:槟榔子粗提取物能够抑制花生四烯酸、二磷酸腺苷、血小板活化因子、肾上腺素及钙离子载体引起的血小板聚集,尤其对二磷酸腺苷及钙离子载体引起的血小板聚集的抑制最为明显;槟榔子粗提取物能够显著抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶的活性。在所检测的槟榔子所含化合物中,只有儿茶素对肾上腺素引起的血小板聚集有显著的抑制作用,而这种抑制作用显著弱于槟榔子粗提取物,提示槟榔子中的其他成分参与了这种抑制作用;鞣酸、没食子酸、薯蓣皂苷元和异去甲槟榔次碱能够抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶的活性,其中鞣酸的抑制作用强于槟榔子粗提取物。结论:槟榔子中含有抗血小板聚集及抑制乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的有效成分,而发挥这些功效的确切成分有待进一步的研究证实。Muhammad Nabeel Ghayur Syed Faraz Kazim Huma Rasheed Asaad Khalid Maliha Iqbal Jumani Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary Anwarul Hassan Gilani 2011中西医结合学报2011,9,6:4

Mg_(0.95)Ni_(0.05)Ti_(0.98)Zr_(0.02)O_3 possessed excellent microwave dielectric properties with ε_r ≈ 17.1, Q_uf_0 ≈ 195855 GHz, and τ_f ≈-46 ppm/℃. t f was tuned through zero by mixing with Ca_(0.6)La_(0.8/3)TiO_3. 11Experimental Analysis and Evaluation of Thermostat Effects on Engine Cooling System显示文摘Thermostat as a part of engine cooling system has a significant role in the shortening warm-up time and regulating the engine in proper temperature to approach optimal performance.Whereas,there is not adequate research on this part of the cooling system and its responsibility.Considering this gap and also being used in large scale,this study is intended to evaluate performance and reflex of the wax type thermostat in different engine working conditions.In this regard,performance of engine cooling system was investigated in various engine speeds and loads to reveal positive and negative influences of thermostat on engine cooling efficiency and engine performance.According to observed results,warm-up period and fuel consumption decrease by using a thermostat.On the other hand,however,the temperature oscillation of coolant fluid passing through engine increases sharply,which causes a disruption in the regulating engine temperature and also a possibility of the fluid boiling rises in some regions of the engine that increases the risk of damage in the engine parts.Engine temperature,fuel consumption,warm-up duration and emissions were provided and compared in two operation modes,with and without thermostat.GHASEMI ZAVARAGH Hadi KALELI Alirlza SOLMUS Ismail AFSHARI Faraz 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2:3

13Recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding and hepatic infarction after liver biopsy显示文摘Hepatic artery pseudoaneurysms(HAP)are rare events,particularly after liver biopsy,but can be associated with serious complications.Therefore a high suspicion is necessary for timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment.We report on a case of HAP that potentially formed after a liver biopsy in a patient with sarcoidosis.The HAP in our case was virtually undetectable initially by angiography but resulted in several complications including recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding,hemorrhagic cholecystitis and finally hepatic infarction with abscess formation until it became detectable at a size of 5-mm.The patient remains asymptomatic over a year after endovascular embolization of the HAP.In this report,we demonstrate that a small HAP can avoid detection by angiography at an early stage while being symptomatic for a prolonged course.A high clinical suspicion with a close clinical/radiological follow-up is needed in symptomatic patients with history of liver biopsy despite initial negative work up.Once diagnosed,HAP can be safely and effectively treated by endovascular embolization.Faraz Bishehsari Peng-Sheng Ting Richard M Green 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,7:2

16A survey of anaesthetic preferences in cataract surgery显示文摘AIM:To identify current trends in anaesthesia technique for cataract surgery and make this information available to ophthalmologists.METHODS:An electronic survey was created and distributed to members of online ophthalmology forums;results were subsequently analysed in spreadsheet software.RESULTS:In total there were 71 completed surveys.The most preferred anaesthesia technique in cataract cases was topical anaesthesia with intracameral injection(n=34,47.9%),and the least preferred techniques were retrobulbar(n=1,1.4%) and peribulbar blocks(n=1,1.4%).The most commonly preferred local anaesthetic was lidocaine 2%(n=41,57.7%).CONCLUSION:Topical anaesthesia techniques with lidocaine 2% appear to be the most preferred method of anaesthesia in cataract surgery in our survey.Compared with previous literature our survey shows that topical anaesthesia is being increasingly used in cataract surgery,especially in conjunction with intracameral injection.The predominant reasons for this seem to be patient comfort and ease of technique.Moaz Hamid Haaris A.Shiwani Faraz Hamid 2022International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2022,15,2:2

20Gorgan Bay: a microcosm for study on macrobenthos speciesenvironment relationships in the southeastern Caspian Sea显示文摘The relationship between spatial patterns of macrobenthos community characteristics and environmental conditions(salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, organic matter content, sand, silt and clay) was investigated throughout the Gorgan Bay in June 2010. Principal components analysis(PCA) based on environmental data separated eastern and western stations. The maximum(4 500 ind./m2) and minimum(411 ind./m2) densities were observed at Stas 1 and 6, respectively. Polychaeta was the major group and Streblospio gynobranchiata was dominant species in the bay. According to Distance Based Linear Models results, macrofaunal total density was correlated with silt percentage and salinity and these two factors explaining 64% of the variability while macrofaunal community structure just correlated with salinity(22% total variation). In general, western part of the bay showed the highest number of species and biodiversity while, the highest density was found at Sta. 1 and in the middle part of the bay. Furthermore, relationship between diversity indices and macrobenthic species with measured factors is also discussed.
