| 1 | Application of bioactive hydrogels combined with dental pulp stem cells for the repair of large gap peripheral nerve injuries显示文摘Due to the limitations in autogenous nerve grafting or Schwann cell transplantation,large gap peripheral nerve injuries require a bridging strategy supported by nerve conduit.Cell based therapies provide a novel treatment for peripheral nerve injuries.In this study,we first experimented an optimal scaffold material synthesis protocol,from where we selected the 10%GFD formula(10%GelMA hydrogel,recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor and dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs))to fill a cellulose/soy protein isolate composite membrane(CSM)tube to construct a third generation of nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD.Then this CSM-GFD conduit was applied to repair a 15-mm long defect of sciatic nerve in a rat model.After 12 week post implant surgery,at histologic level,we found CSM-GFD conduit could regenerate nerve tissue like neuron and Schwann like nerve cells and myelinated nerve fibers.At physical level,CSM-GFD achieved functional recovery assessed by a sciatic functional index study.In both levels,CSM-GFD performed like what gold standard,the nerve autograft,could do.Further,we unveiled that almost all newly formed nerve tissue at defect site was originated from the direct differentiation of exogeneous DPSCs in CSM-GFD.In conclusion,we claimed that this third-generation nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD,could be a promising tissue engineering approach to replace the conventional nerve autograft to treat the large gap defect in peripheral nerve injuries. | Lihua Luo Yan He Ling Jin Yanni Zhang Fernando P.Guastaldi Abdullkhaleg A.Albashari Fengting Hu Xiaoyan Wang Lei Wang Jian Xiao Lingli Li Jianming Wang Akon Higuchi Qingsong Ye | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,3: | 11 |
| 2 | Preparation of monolayer-assembled fluorescent film and its sensing performances to hidden nitroaromatic explosives显示文摘Pyrene was chemically assembled on a glass plate surface in a monolayer manner via spacers con-taining triethylenetetramine (TETA) subunits. It has been demonstrated that the fluorescence emission of the film is sensitive to the presence of trace amount of nitroaromatic compound (NAC) vapors. As discovered in the present work, the response selectivity of the pyrene-functionalized film depends on the length of the spacer, the vapor pressure of a given NAC, and the quencher size. The film shows faster response to those quenchers which have higher vapor pressure and smaller size. Compared to the film with shorter spacers, the present film with longer flexible spacers shows a slower response to the NACs, but higher selectivity to the quencher size. Additionally, the detection limits to common ex-plosives in vapor phase, 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT), are 7.14×10-12 and 5.49×10-11 g·mL-1, respectively. | 3 | Cationic conjugated polymers for detection and inactivation of pathogens显示文摘Conjugated polymers(CPs) are referred to a kind of fluorescent polymer materials with delocalized π-conjugated backbones.For the last decades, cationic CPs(CCPs) have been widely used in biosensor, imaging and biomedical fields due to their good photophysical properties and solubility in water medium resulting from side chain modification with ionized moieties. In this mini-review, we mainly introduced the applications of CCPs in detection and inactivation of pathogen with typical examples, and also briefly discussed the relevant mechanisms. | 4 | Acidification and bubble template derived porous g-C_(3)N_(4) for efficient photodegradation and hydrogen evolution显示文摘Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))as a metal-free candidate of photocatalyst has received worldwide attention because of its great potentials in solar light-induced degradation and hydrogen evolution,yet the industrial application is seriously hindered by the small specific surface area and rapid recombination rate of carriers.Herein,we demonstrate that porous g-C_(3)N_(4)(HCl-CNU-X)can be prepared via the copolymerization of acidified melamine and a green bubble template(urea).Transmission electron microscopy and nitrogen sorption characterization results show that the prepared HCl-CNU-X possesses an in-plane porous structure and large specific surface area,enabling the exposure of more accessible active sites.As a result,HCl-CNU-X exhibits both enhanced photocatalytic tetracycline hydrochloride degradation and higher hydrogen evolution than bulk g-C_(3)N_(4).The boosted photocatalytic performance was ascribed to the formation of the porous structure,which dramatically promotes the separation of charge-carriers and facilitates the electron transfer.This work demonstrates that the acidification of nitrogen-rich precursors combined with a bubble-template can develop a new paradigm of highly porous photocatalysts for environmental remediation and water splitting. | Yixuan Wang Fengting He Lin Chen Jie Shang Jiajia Wang Shuaijun Wang Huimin Song Jinqiang Zhang Chaocheng Zhao Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 1 |

| 7 | Synthesis of amphiphilic poly(fluorene) derivatives for selective imaging of Staphylococcus aureus显示文摘Three amphiphilic poly(fluorene-co-phenylene) derivatives with different side chains(PFP-1, PFP-2, PFP-3) were designed and synthesized for exploring their detection and imaging of pathogens. Upon incubation with six kinds of different pathogens, it was found the three polymers could selectively interact with Staphylococcus aureus(S. aureus). Their selective imaging towards S. aureus were thus realized. The selective imaging towards S. aureus was also confirmed even under the blend of microbes. PFP-3 shows stronger fluorescence imaging signal than PFP-1 and PFP-2. Zeta potential and isothermal titration microcalorimetry(ITC) tests demonstrated that both electrostatic interactions and hydrophobic interactions played important roles in the binding between PFPs and pathogens.
