| 1 | Neuroprotection of aucubin in primary diabetic encephalopathy显示文摘Hippocampal neuronal apoptosis accompanied by impairment of cognitive function occurs in primary diabetic encephalopathy. In this study, we investigated the neuroprotective mechanism of the iridoid glycoside, aucubin, using rats (n=8). Diabetes mellitus was induced in the rats by intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of streptozotocin (60 mg/kg body weight). After 65 d, half of the DM rats were administered aucubin (5 mg/kg; i.p.) for 15 d, yielding treatment DM+A. A third group of rats received no strepto- zotocin or aucibin, and served as controls (CON). Encephalopathy was assessed using Y-maze be- havioral testing. Rats were euthanized on Day 87, and hippocampi were excised for visual (light and transmission electron microscopic) and immunochemical (Western blot; immunohistochemical) as- sessments of the CA1 subfield for apoptosis and expression of regulatory proteins Bcl-2 and Bax. Treatment responses to all the parameters examined (body weight, plasma glucose, Y-maze error rates, pyramidal cell ultrastructure, proportions of apoptotic cells, levels of expression of Bcl-2 and Bax, and survivability of neuronal cells) were identical: there were highly significant differences between DM and CON groups (P<0.001), but the effects were significantly moderated (P<0.01) in DM+A compared with DM. These findings confirm the association of apoptosis with the encephalopathic effects of diabetes mellitus, and suggest a major role of the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Bax in the regulation of apop- totic cell death. | 5 | Single crystal β-Ga_2O_3: Cr grown by floating zone technique and its optical properties显示文摘β-Ga2O3: Cr single crystals were grown by floating zone technique. Absorption spectra and fluorescence spectra were measured at room temperature. The values of field splitting parameter Dq and Racah parameter B were obtained by the peak values of absorption spectra. The value 10Dq/B=23.14 manifests that in β-Ga2O3 crystals Cr3+ ions are influenced by low energy crystal field. After high temperature annealing in air, the Cr3+ intrinsic emission was enhanced and the green lumines-cence disappeared. The strong and broad 691 nm emission was obtained at 420 nm excitation due to the electron transition occurred from 4T2 to 4A2. | 7 | Syntheses of 10-Hydroxy-5,10-dihydrophenophosphazine 10-Oxide and Its Methyl Derivatives显示文摘Ph 2NH and PCl 3 interacted at a molar ratio of 1∶1 05 and slow elevated temperature and then at 210-220 ℃ for 6 h. The brown solution obtained was treated with H 2O to produce a very hard brown solid believed to be a mixture of 5,10 dihydrophenophosphazine 10 oxide(1a) and 10,10(5H,5H) spirobipenophosphazinium chloride(1b). This brown solid was directly oxidized with peracetic acid in HOAc prior to the separation of them to give compound 10 hydroxy 5,10 dihydropheno phosphazine 10 oxide(2) with a higher yield(45%) than that of the literature(27%). When treated with excess SOCl 2, compound 2 could quantitatively be converted to the corresponding phosphinyl chloride and the latter could further be transformed into 10 methoxy 5,10 dihydrophenophosphazine 10 oxide in 70% as treated with NaOMe in methanol. Compound 2 could also be converted to a bisanion when treated with NaH in DMF. The resulted bisanion reacted with MeI to give 5 methyl 10 hydroxy 5,10 dihydrophenophosphazine 10 oxide in a 73% yield which would be converted to 5 methyl 10 methoxy 5,10 dihydrophenophosphazine 10 oxide in a 56% yield by the same way of synthesizing 10 methoxy 5,10 dihydrophenophosphazine 10 oxide. | 11 | Simplified circuit model of disk-shaped traveling wave ultrasonic motor显示文摘This paper presents a method of establishing simplified equivalent circuit model of traveling wave ultrasonic motor by using 1/2 wavelength stator with the similar vibration characteristics. Combined with the vibration mode characteristics of the composite stator, the method utilizes Hamilton principle to obtain precise solution of the simplified equivalent circuit. The model shows the mechanism of ultrasonic motor, considering the influence of non-axisymmetric vibration mode, tooth outline, anisotropy of PZT (Piezoelectric ceramic), etc. With this method, various electric parameters corresponding to different vibration modes, such as static capacitance, dynamic capacitance, dynamic inductance, dynamic resistance, equivalent input impedance, etc., can be solved. | 14 | A novel small molecule inhibitor targeted at Bcl-2显示文摘Recently, the heterocyclic compound 8-oxo-3-thiomorpholino-8H-acenaphtho[1,2-b]pyrrole-9-carboni-trile (S1) was synthesized and shown to induce apoptosis in both (H22) hematoma and (MCF-7) ade-nocarcinoma cells. The IC50 values of S1 against the two cell lines were 0.17 and 0.09 μmol/L, respec-tively. Furthermore, the apoptosis-inducing activity of this compound was highlighted both in vivo and in vitro. Subsequent experiments identified Bcl-2 as the primary target of S1, as a significant reduc-tion in Bcl-2 protein levels was observed in H22 cells following a two-hour treatment with 10 μmol/L S1. While rapid depolarization of mitochondrial membranes led immediately to caspase 9 activation, no changes were identified in either caspase 8 levels or levels in Bcl-2 mRNA. These data were consistent with the results of circular dichroism (CD) spectra analysis, revealing that S1 inactivated the Bcl-2 protein by destroying its critical alpha helices. Using engineer-ing and numerical analysis software Matlab5.2 and method of coefficient determinant searching arithmetic, eigen frequency constant and mode shape of the stator with i.d./ o.d. ratio of 0.1, 0.3, 0.35, 0.6 and different vibration modes are accurately solved and analyzed. By means of Newton interpolation method, contributions of transverse deflection amplitude and vibration energy corresponding to various modes are determined. This paper offers a valid theoretical foundation for the optimum design of the stator of disk-shaped ultrasonic motors. | 17 | Experiment of X-ray Generations Using Laser-Compton Scattering at LINAC of SINAP显示文摘Laser Compton scattering(LCS) can generate X-rays or γ-rays with high brightness and easy controlled polarization by applying high-peak-power laser pulses to relativistic electron bunches. One of the most promising approaches to short pulsed X-ray sources is the laser synchrotron source. It is based on LCS between picoseconds relativistic electron bunches and picoseconds laser pulses. A project of Shanghai laser electron gamma source with LCS method has been proposed on Shanghai synchrotron radiation facility. Before that,a prototype has been developed in the beamline of the linear accelerator at the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics,Chinese Academy of Sciences. The LCS experiment was carried out by using the 107 MeV,5 Hz,1 ns,0.1 nC electron bunches from the linear accelerator and the 18 ns,10 MW peak power,Nd∶YAG laser pulses. | 19 | Formation Mechanism and Emission Spectrum of AlO Radicals in Reaction of Laser-ablated Al Atom and Oxygen显示文摘The emission spectrum of AlO radicals was analyzed in 440-540 nm in the reaction of laser ablated Al beam and O 2. The carrier of spectrum was assigned to Δ ν =0, ±1, ±2 vibrational sequences of B 2Σ +-X 2Σ + transition of AlO radicals, the observed maximum vibrational quantum number was ν ′=6. The rotational and vibrational temperatures of B state were estimated at 3000 and 7500 K by spectrally simulating the rovibronic population distribution.
