| 1 | Reversible Histone H2B Monoubiquitination Fine-Tunes Abscisic Acid Signaling and Drought Response in Rice显示文摘Histone H2B monoubiquitination (H2Bub1) plays important roles in several physiological and developmental processes, but its roles in the regulation of plant stress responses remain elusive. Here, we report that H2Bub1 is crucially involved in abscisic acid (ABA) signaling and drought response in rice. We found that rice HISTONE MONOUBIQUITINATION2 (OsHUB2), an E3 ligase for H2Bub1, in teracted with OsbZIP46, a key transcription factor regulating ABA signaling and drought response in rice. Genetic analyses suggest that OsHUB2, upregulated by drought and ABA, positively modulates ABA sensitivity and drought resistance. The H2Bub1 levels were in creased in the target genes of OsbZIP46 under the drought stress and ABA treat- merits, which were positively correlated with their increased expression levels. Interestingly, MODD, a reported suppressor of ABA signaling and drought resistance by mediating OsbZIP46 deactivation and degradation, could reduce the H2Bub1 levels in the target genes of OsbZIP46 by recruiting a putative deubiquitinase OsOTLD1 . Suppression of OsOTLD1in vivo resulted in increased H2Bub1 levels and expression of OsbZIP46 target genes. | 7 | Response and Long-Term Effect of Patients with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Receiving Neo-Adjuvant Anthracycline-Based Chemotherapy显示文摘OBJECTIVE The breast cancer lack of expression of estrogenreceptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermalgrowth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) is defined as the Triple-negativebreast cancer (TNBC). Our purpose is to compare the responseand long-term effect of the TNBC and non-TNBC patientsreceiving neo-adjuvant anthracycline-based chemotherapy, and toinvestigate the mechanisms of TNBC affecting the survivals.METHODS Data of long-term follow-up (median, 5.4 years)of 326 patients who received neo-adjuvant chemotherapy withanthracycline-based regimen, during a period from 2000 to 2003,were analyzed. Expressions of ER, PR, HER-2, P53, Ki-67 andE-cadherin were determined using immunohistochemical stainingmethod. A multivariate Cox regression analysis was used toanalyze independent prognostic factors affecting the relapse-freesurvival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) rates. Clinical effects ofthe neo-adjuvant anthracycline-based chemotherapeutic regimenand the RFS and OS rates were compared between the patientswith TNBC and non-TNBC, and the correlations among the triple-negative phenotype (TNP), tumor grading and the expressions ofP53, Ki-67 and E-cadherins were analyzed.RESULTS TNP, TNM staging, histological grades, clinicalresponse of the neo-adjuvant chemotherapy and pathologicalcomplete remission (pCR) rate were the independent prognosticfactors affecting the survival rates. Furthermore, 70 (21.5%) of the326 patients suffered TNBC. Compared with the subjects in non-TNBC group, the patients with TNBC had a significantly higherpCR rate (P = 0.046) and clinical response rate (P = 0.037), but alsodecreased 5-year RFS (P = 0.001) and OS (P = 0.004) rates. TheRFS and OS rates were not improved in the TNBC patients whoachieved a clinical remission after the neo-adjuvant chemotherapy.The triple-negative phenotype was positively correlated with thelevel of P53, Ki-67 expression (P = 0.007, P = 0.028), but negativelycorrelated with level of E-cadherin (P = 0.034).CONCLUSION Both clinical remission rate and pCR rate ofthe TNBC patients receiving neo-adjuvant anthracycline-basedchemotherapy are high, however, the long-term effect is poor.The mechanism may relate to a strong potential of proliferationand invasive metastasis, as well as lack of an effective therapeutictarget in the TNBC patients. | Zhengkui Sun Xingtian Ma Yudong Wu Fan Fan Xianghua Wan Airong Fu | 2009 | Clinical oncology and cancer resexreh2009,6,3: | 1 |

| 11 | Flow boiling heat transfer in copper foam fin microchannels with different fin widths using R134a显示文摘Heat sinks of copper foam fin microchannels are developed to deal with cooling challenges.The heat sinks consist of fins made of copper foam and channels.The channels are 0.5 mm in width and 1 mm in height,and the fins are 0.5 and 2.0 mm in width.Flow boiling experiments are conducted using R134a at subcooled and saturated inlet conditions.The heat flux is between 22 and 172 W/cm^(2),and the mass flux ranges from 264 to 1213 kg/(m^(2)s).The influence of the quality,the heat flux,and the mass flow rate on the heat transfer coefficient is obtained.It is found that wider fin raises the heat transfer coefficient.A correlation is developed based on heat transfer mechanisms,and it predicts the experimental result with a 12%mean absolute error.Compared with a solid fin microchannels heat sink,the heat transfer coefficient of the copper foam fin microchannels is higher(up to 60%)when the heat flux is lower than 100 W/cm^(2).The copper foam fin microchannels may enhance the heat transfer coefficient and reduce the pressure drop at the same time. | GAO WuHuan FU Kai XU XiangHua LIANG XinGang | 2023 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,11: | 0 |
