| 1 | The Yellow Sea green tides were dominated by one species, Ulva (Enteromorpha) prolifera, from 2007 to 2011显示文摘Green tides have occurred in the Yellow Sea successively from 2007 to 2011. Genetic analysis of the 5-year green-tide-forming algae needs to be performed to determine the source of the biomass and understand the mechanism of the green tide blooms. In this study, free-floating green algae were collected at different sites in the Yellow Sea in 2010 and 2011. Data on 182 free-floating samples and 155 attached Ulva samples from previous studies on the Yellow Sea green tides from 2007 to 2009 were also taken into consideration. Morphology observation and molecular phylogenetic analyses indicated that the Yellow Sea green tides were dominated by a single species, Ulva prolifera, from 2007 to 2011. Considering that at least five Ulva species inhabit the north coast of China, the unialgal composition of the green tides implied that (1) there may be some special physiology and propagation pathways of U. prolifera for its rapid expansion, (2) the mechanisms of the Yellow Sea green tide formation were similar for the last five years, and (3) the intra-species genetic variation and population structure of U. prolifera need to be studied to determine the exact origin of the bloom-forming biomass. | ZHAO Jin JIANG Peng LIU ZhengYi WEI Wei LIN HanZhi LI FuChao WANG JinFeng QIN Song | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,19: | 27 |
| 2 | Sensitivity analysis for probabilistic anti-resonance design of aeronautical hydraulic pipelines显示文摘In an uncertainty scheme, reliability and global sensitivity analysis is studied in this work, to provide helpful information for probabilistic anti-resonance design of vibration systems.Discussions show that the resonance failure problem can be viewed as a series system, in which input uncertainties are modeled by random variables. In order to quantitatively measure the contributions of input variables to the system reliability, a global sensitivity index is proposed, the properties of which are also discussed. Then the proposed index is tested with an aeronautical hydraulic pipeline system, which is under the excitation of pump vibration and at a risk of resonance failure. | 4 | Reliability and reliability sensitivity analysis of structure by combining adaptive linked importance sampling and Kriging reliability method显示文摘The application of reliability analysis and reliability sensitivity analysis methods to complicated structures faces two main challenges:small failure probability(typical less than 10-5)and time-demanding mechanical models.This paper proposes an improved active learning surrogate model method,which combines the advantages of the classical Active Kriging–Monte Carlo Simulation(AK-MCS)procedure and the Adaptive Linked Importance Sampling(ALIS)procedure.The proposed procedure can,on the one hand,adaptively produce a series of intermediate sampling density approaching the quasi-optimal Importance Sampling(IS)density,on the other hand,adaptively generate a set of intermediate surrogate models approaching the true failure surface of the rare failure event.Then,the small failure probability and the corresponding reliability sensitivity indices are efficiently estimated by their IS estimators based on the quasi-optimal IS density and the surrogate models.Compared with the classical AK-MCS and Active Kriging–Importance Sampling(AK-IS)procedure,the proposed method neither need to build very large sample pool even when the failure probability is extremely small,nor need to estimate the Most Probable Points(MPPs),thus it is computationally more efficient and more applicable especially for problems with multiple MPPs.The effectiveness and engineering applicability of the proposed method are demonstrated by one numerical test example and two engineering applications. | Fuchao LIU Pengfei WEI Changcong ZHOU Zhufeng YUE | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4: | 2 |

| 8 | Ice Nucleation of Cirrus Clouds Related to the Transported Dust Layer Observed by Ground-Based Lidars over Wuhan,China显示文摘Cirrus clouds related to transported dust layers were identified on 22 occasions with ground-based polarization lidar from December 2012 to February 2018 over Wuhan(30.5°N,114.4°E),China.All the events occurred in spring and winter.Cirrus clouds were mostly located above 7.6 km on top of the aloft dust layers.In-cloud relative humidity with respect to ice(RH_(i))derived from water vapor Raman lidar as well as from ERA5 reanalysis data were used as criteria to determine the possible ice nucleation regimes.Corresponding to the two typical cases shown,the observed events can be classified into two categories:(1)category A(3 cases),in-cloud peak RH_(i)≥150%,indicating competition between heterogeneous nucleation and homogeneous nucleation;and(2)category B(19 cases),in-cloud peak RH_(i)<150%,revealing that only heterogeneous nucleation was involved.Heterogeneous nucleation generally took place during instances of cirrus cloud formation in the upper troposphere when advected dust particles were present.Although accompanying cloud-top temperatures ranged from–51.9℃to–30.4℃,dust-related heterogeneous nucleation contributed to primary ice nucleation in cirrus clouds by providing ice nucleating particle concentrations on the order of 10^(−3)L^(−1)to 10^(2)L^(−1).Heterogeneous nucleation and subsequent crystal growth reduced the ambient RH_(i)to be less than 150%by consuming water vapor and thus completely inhibited homogeneous nucleation. | Yun HE Fan YI Fuchao LIU Zhenping YIN Jun ZHOU | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,12: | 0 |
