1Construction and Properties of Structure-and Size-controlled Micro/Nano-energetic Materials显示文摘The recent research progress of structure- and size-controlled micro/nano-energetic materials is reviewed, which properties are fundamentally different from those of their corresponding bulk materials. The development of the construction strategies for achieving zero-dimensional (0D), one-dimensional (1D), two-dimensional (2D), and three-dimensional (3D) micro/nanostructures from energetic molecules is introduced. Also, an overview of the unique properties induced by micro/nanostructures and size effects is provided. Special emphasis is focused on the size-dependent properties that are different from those of the conventional micro-sized energetic materials, such as thermal decomposition, sensitivity, combustion and detonation, and compaction behaviors. 2Mechanism of floral scent production in Osmanthus fragrans and the production and regulation of its key floral constituents,β-ionone and linalool显示文摘Sweet osmanthus(Osmanthus fragrans Lour.)is among the top ten most well-known flowers in China and is recognized as both an aromatic plant and ornamental flower.Here,manual sectioning,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy of sweet osmanthus petals revealed that large amounts of lipids are present inside the petal cells and on the cell surfaces.However,no secretory structures were observed.Instead,the petal cells protrude slightly outward,and the surfaces of the cells are adorned with highly regular brush-shaped hairs.The surfaces of the‘Yingui’petals possessed mostly curled and more numerous hairs,whereas the‘Dangui’petals possessed fewer brush-shaped and more sparsely arranged hairs.In addition,many granular substances were attached to the brush-shaped hairs,and the granules were denser on the hairs of the‘Yingui’petals compared to the hairs on the‘Dangui’petals.Furthermore,35 aromatic components in the‘Yingui’petals and 30 aromatic components in the‘Dangui’petals were detected via GC-MS.The main aromatic component of the‘Yingui’petals wasβ-ionone,whereas that of the‘Dangui’petals was linalool and its oxides.Transcriptome sequencing and qRT-PCR indicated that the highβ-ionone content in the‘Yingui’petals was due to the overexpression of CCD1 and CCD4 and that the high linalool content in the‘Dangui’petals was due to the overexpression of MECS,HDR,IDI1,and LIS1,which function upstream of the linalool synthetic pathway.In particular,the expression levels of CCD4 and LIS1 were upregulated by 5.5-and 5.1-fold in the‘Yingui’and‘Dangui’petals,respectively.One transcription factor(ERF61)was cloned and named,and the expression pattern of ERF61 in sweet osmanthus petals was found to be generally consistent with that of CCD4.Tobacco transformation experiments,yeast one-hybrid experiments,and electrophoretic mobility shift assays indicated that ERF61 binds to the CCD4 promoter and stimulates CCD4 expression,thereby regulating the synthesis ofβ-ionone in sweet osmanthus petals.Yuanji Han Hongyun Wang Xiaodan Wang Ke Li Meifang Dong Yong Li Qian Zhu Fude Shang 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:13
3The localization of type 2 diabetes susceptibility gene loci in northern Chinese Han families显示文摘We conducted a genome-wide scan, in which 358 well distributed fluorescent dye-labeled microsatellite marker sets were applied in 32 Chinese Han type 2 diabetes families from Northern China to search for the susceptibility gene loci. The data collected from screening all the chromosomes of genome were genotyped by using genescan and genotyping software, then, parametric and non-parametric multipoint test, and affected sib-pair analysis as well, were used to analyze the data. We identified some susceptibility gene loci residing in chromosomes 1,12,18,20, respectively, or precisely, located around D1S214, D1S207, D1S218, D1S235, D12S336, D18S61 and D20S118. 4Research on KOH/La-Ba-Al_2O_3 catalysts for biodiesel production via transesterification from microalgae oil显示文摘Alumina supports modified by lanthanum(La)and barium(Ba)were prepared by peptization.Catalysts with different KOH contents supported on modified alumina were prepared by impregnation method.Various techniques,including N2 adsorption-desorption(Brunauer-Emmet-Teller method,BET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and fourier transform infrared absorption spectroscopy(FT-IR). Catalytic activity for microalgae oil conversion to methyl ester via transesterification was evaluated and analyzed by GC-MS and GC.BET results showed that the support possessed high specific surface area,suitable pore volume and pore size distribution.Activity results indicated that the catalyst with 25 wt%KOH showed the best activity for microalgae oil conversion.XRD and SEM results revealed that Al-O-K compound was the active phase for microalgae oil conversion.The agglomeration and changing of pore structure should be the main reasons for the catalyst deactivation when KOH content was higher than 30 wt%.Xiaoyu Zhang Qing Ma Bibo Cheng Jun Wang Jinshan Li Fude Nie 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,6:7
5Studies of the Genotoxicity of Glycidyl Methacrylate (GMA)显示文摘The following experiments were conducted to evaluate the genotoxic effects of GMA (glycidyl methacrylale) on mammalian and human cells.(1) Using the absorption spectrum shift method in vitro, we observed that the maximums of calf thymus DNA and GMA were shifted toward longer wavelengths (a change of more than 15nm) and the absorbance decreased after incubation at room temperature for 15min or more.The result indicates that binding of DNA and GMA had occurred.The binding force is strong, not affected by the addition of concentrated sodium chloride solution, and only slightly decreased by the addition of 8 M urea solution.Therefore the bond between DNA and GMA might be covalent.(2) In cell cultures, unscheduled DNA synthesis (UDS) in human and/or rat lymphocyte was induced and DNA semiconserva-tive replication was inhibited by GMA at concentrations of less than 5.2 mM.(3) Sperm abnormality tests and assays of UDS in germ cells of male mice were conducted to study the in vivo genotoxicity of GMA.The results revealed that GMA could damage DNA, increase sperm abnormality frequency, and reduce the number of sperm cells, 1990 Academic Press.Inc.DAYING XIE, WEI ZHANG, LAIFU CAO, WENQING SUN, ZHONGSHENG LI, QING GAO, YILI WU, HUILAN GAO, HUIFANG YANG, JIM ZUO,~* AND FUDE FANG~* Institute oF Occupational Medicine. 6Fragment Propagation and Colonization Ability Enhanced and Varied at Node Level after Escaping from Apical Dominance in Submerged Macrophytes显示文摘Aquatic plants develop strong fragment propagation and colonization ability to endure the natural disturbances. However,detailed research of ability to endure the natural disturbances has been lacking to date. Therefore,reproduction(shoot) and colonization(root) of shoot fragments of Potamogeton crispus L. with or without apices were investigated for the effect of apical dominance,and the growth of decapitated shoot fragments at three lengths(2,4,6 cm) was compared. Meanwhile,fragment propagation at levels of bud position was studied for bud position effect after escaping from apical dominance. The results showed significant increases occurred in the outgrowth of lateral branches on fragments decapitated compared with the fragments with apices,implying that apical dominance exists. Different lengths of fragments showed little difference in biomass allocations,but significant differences were noted in their propagation. Meanwhile,the effect of bud position was verified,due to the significant difference of average reproduction per node among the three length groups. 7Retinoic acid ameliorates high-fat diet-induced liver steatosis through Sirt1显示文摘In this study, treatment of C57 BL/6 J(wild type, WT) mice fed a high-fat diet(HFD) with retinoic acid(RA) decreased body weight and subcutaneous and visceral fat content, reversed the apparent hepatosteatosis, and reduced hepatic intracellular triglyceride and serum alanine transaminase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) concentrations. Moreover, RA treatment improved glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in WT mice fed a HFD. However, these RA-induced effects in WT mice fed a HFD were alleviated in liver specific Sirtuin 1(Sirt1) deficient(LKO) mice fed a HFD. Furthermore,RA also could not improve glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in LKO mice fed a HFD. The mechanism studies indicated that RA indeed increased the expression of hepatic Sirt1 and superoxide dismutase 2(Sod2), and inhibited the expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein 1 c(Srebp-1 c) in WT mice in vivo and in vitro. RA decreased mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS) production in WT primary hepatocytes and increased mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA) copy number in WT mice liver. However, these RA-mediated molecular effects were also abolished in the liver and primary hepatocytes from LKO mice. 8Exploring BH_2CN-based hydrophobic hypergolic fuels and effective fuel“additives”: Imidazolylidene cyanoborane complexes显示文摘Two hydrophobic imidazolylidene-cyanoborane complexes were prepared by the introduction of{BH2 CN} into the molecular formula via treatment of imidazolium iodide and Na BH3 CN avoiding literature's tedious and hazardous procedures. These two complexes were fully characterized using IR spectroscopy,~1 H NMR and^(13)C NMR spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometer. The X-Ray structure of NHC-1 has been determined. 10Testing the role of genetic variation of the MC4R gene in Chinese population in antipsychotic-induced metabolic disturbance显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced metabolic disturbance(AIMD) is a common adverse effect of antipsychotics with genetics partly underpinning variation in susceptibility among schizophrenia patients. Melanocortin4 receptor(MC4 R) gene, one of the candidate genes for AIMD, has been under-studied in the Chinese patients. We conducted a pharmacogenetic study in a large cohort of Chinese patients with schizophrenia. In this study, we investigated the genetic variation of MC4 R in Chinese population by genotyping two SNPs(rs489693 and rs17782313) in 1,991 Chinese patients and examined association of these variants with the metabolic effects that were often observed to be related to AIMD. Metabolic measures, including body mass index(BMI), waist circumference(WC), glucose, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein(HDL), and low-density lipoprotein(LDL) levels were assessed at baseline and after 6-week antipsychotic treatment. We found that interaction of SNP×medication status(drug-na?ve/medicated) was significantly associated with BMI, WC, and HDL change %, respectively. Both SNPs were significantly associated with baseline BMI and WC in the medicated group. Moderate association of rs489693 with WC, Triglyceride, and HDL change % were observed in the whole sample. In the drug-na?ve group, we found recessive effects of rs489693 on BMI gain more than 7%, WC and Triglyceride change %, with AA incurring more metabolic adverse effects. In conclusion, the association between rs489693 and the metabolic measures is ubiquitous but moderate. Rs17782313 is less involved in AIMD. 11The first-principle study on the equation of state of HMX under high pressure显示文摘The equation of states (EOS) of high energy explosive HMX (octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine) has been studied by using the first principle method. Our results include the lattice constants, elastic constants, and the dependence of total energy and pressure on volume for βand δ-HMX. The calculated elastic constants and the pressure-volume relationship of β-HMX are also compared with the experimental values. The theoretical tensile experiments are implemented on the β-HMX. 12Symmetry Reductions, Integrability and Solitary Wave Solutions to High-Order Modified Boussinesq Equations with Damping Term显示文摘Both the direct method due to Clarkson and Kruskal and the improved direct method due to Lou are extended to reduce the high-order modified Boussinesq equation with the damping term (HMBEDT) arising in the general Fermi-Pasta-Ulam model. As a result, several types of similarity reductions are obtained. It is easy to show that the nonlinear wave equation is not integrable under the sense of AblowRz's conjecture from the reduction results obtained.
