| 1 | Lead isotope geochemical characteristics of Pb-Zn-Cu deposits on the southwestern margin of Tarim,and their significance显示文摘The polymetallic(Pb,Zn,Cu,etc) ore belt on the southwestern margin of Tarim is one of the major regions with the greatest prospecting potential in Xinjiang.Reported in this paper are the lead isotope data for 66 sulfide samples(including 50 galena samples,15 chalcopyrite samples and 1 pyrite sample) collected from such representative deposits as Tamu,Tiekelike,Kalangu,Abalieke,etc.in this ore belt.The Pb isotopic ratios of 206 Pb/204 Pb,207 Pb/204 Pb and 208 Pb/204 Pb in the galena samples range from 17.931 to 18.176,15.609 to 15.818 and 38.197 to 38.944,with the average values of 18.017,15.684 and 38.462,respectively.Those in the chalcopyrite samples range from 17.926 to 18.144,15.598 to 15.628 and 38.171 to 38.583,with the average values of 18.020,15.606 and 38.262,respectively.The pyrite sample has the Pb isotopic ratios of 206 Pb/204 Pb,207 Pb/204 Pb and 208 Pb/204 Pb to be 17.980,15.604 and 38.145,respectively.In combination with the previous Pb isotope data for sulfides,it is found that there is only a slight variation in the Pb isotopic composition of galena,chalcopyrite,sphalerite and pyrite in the ore belt.However,there is some difference in Pb isotopic characteristics between galena and chalcopyrite,especially the Pb isotopic composition of galena shows an obvious linear correlation with some other relevant parameters(e.g.β and γ).The comprehensive analysis suggested that lead in galena(maybe including sphalerite and pyrite) was derived principally from wall rocks and underlying basement,and that in chalcopyrite only originated from the basement.The single-stage model ages of these sulfides couldn't indicate the time limit of metallogenesis(Pb,Zn,Cu,etc.),and the positive linear correlations for the Pb isotopic composition of galena are of no single-stage and two-stage Pb-Pb isochron significance.Furthermore,there are significant differences in Pb isotopic composition characteristics between the genetic type of deposits in this polymetallic ore belt and the Mississippi Valley type(MVT).In addition,the authors also pointed out that there is a phenomenon of differentiation(not paragenesis) for lead and copper elements during the process of metallogenesis in this ore belt. | SHEN Nengping ZHANG Zhengwei YOU Fuhua PENG Jiantang ZHU Xiaoqing XIAO Jiafei | 2012 | Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2012,31,4: | 3 |

| 5 | Effects of dendritic cell and subgroup changes on bone marrow transplantation treatment of multiple sclerosis显示文摘BACKGROUND:Bone marrow transplantation is an effective treatment for severe forms of various autoimmune disorders.Dendritic cell reconstitution is thought to be one factor contributing to host immune recovery and therapeutic efficacy. OBJECTIVE:To assess the effects of bone marrow transplantation on an animal model of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE),and to investigate changes in dendritic cells and subgroups following bone marrow transplantation. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:This experimental,neuroimmunological study was performed in Sun Yat-sen University between August 2006 and May 2007. MATERIALS:A total of 30 female C57BL/6 mice,aged 6-8 weeks,served as recipients,and 20 female adult C57BL/6 served as donors.Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein 35- 55 amino acid peptide(MOG35-55) of murine origin was synthesized by Bio-Scientific(Xi'an,China,purity>95%). Complete Freund's adjuvant was purchased from Difco Laboratories,Detroit,Ml;pertussis vaccine was purchased from Alexis,San Diego,CA;radiation device and flow cytometry for FACS analysis were purchased from Theratron 780-C,Canada and Coulter,Fullerton,CA,respectively. METHODS:The C57BL/6 mice,aged 6-8 weeks,were immunized by subcutaneous injection of MOG35-55 peptide emulsified in complete Freund's adjuvant,which contained 500μg Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RA.The mice were subsequently intravenously injected with pertussis vaccine to induce EAE.The mice were randomly assigned to transplantation and EAE model groups(n = 12 for each).Bone marrow cells[(5-10)×10~6]were transplanted into EAE mice via the tail vein 4-6 hours following total body irradiation,and the model group was not treated. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Mouse behavioral changes following EAE were evaluated daily. Injured spinal cord tissue sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin 20 days after the initial immunization to observe inflammatory infiltration using light microscopy.Flow cytometry was used to detect the ratio and absolute number of DC1(CD8a^-CD11c^+) and DC2(CD8a^+CD11c^+) in peripheral blood 36 days after bone marrow transplantation. RESULTS:Significant improvement in clinical signs was observed in EAE mice following bone marrow transplantation compared with the model group(P<0.01),as well as attenuated lymphocyte and macrophage infiltration.Compared with the model group,the absolute number of dendritic cells and DC1,as well as the DC1/DC2 ratio,was significantly greater following bone marrow transplantation(P<0.05 or P<0.01). | 6 | Clinical manifestation and humoral immuno-function of myasthenia gravis patients with abnormal and normal thymus gland显示文摘BACKGROUND: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease which mainly affects neuromuscular junctions. The ages, modified Osserman classification and clinical manifestation and humoral immunol function of MG with and without thymic abnormality are different. OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical manifestation and humoral immuno-function of MG with abnormal and normal thymus gland. DESIGN: Contrast observation. SETTING: Department of Neurology, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 49 inpatients with MG were selected from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from March 2000 to August 2005. All the patients had typical clinical manifestation of MG and positive neostigmine test. All the patients knew and agreed the laboratory examinations. There were 22 males and 27 females of 2-69 years old. Chest MRI or CT scan were performed to reveal thymus gland abnormality. According to whether there was tumor in superior mediastinum, all patients were divided into 2 groups, abnormal and normal groups. Normal thymus gland group (n=30) contained 16 males and 14 females of 6-43 years old. Abnormal thymus gland group (n=19) contained 6 male and 13 female of 2-69 years old. METHODS: ① All patients were questioned about initial symptoms. Meanwhile, main clinical manifestations were recorded at hospital admission. ② 7180A automatic biochemical analyzer and automatic microplate reader were used in detecting seroimmunity index. The levels of C3, C4, IgG, IgA, IgM and CH50 in blood serum were analyzed by nephelometry. ③ Clinical classification is based on modified Osserman classification. The patients with MG were divided into six types: Ⅰ (Ocular myasthenia), Ⅱa (Mild generalized myasthenia), Ⅱb (Moderately severe generalized myasthenia), Ⅲ (Acute fulminating myasthenia), Ⅳ (Late severe myasthenia). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Differences of initial symptoms and clinical manifestation of two group patients. ② Differences of age of onset and modified Osserman classification of two groups. ③ The humoral immuno-functions of two groups were compared. RESULTS: All the 49 patients were involved in the final analysis of results. ① Differences of initial symptoms: Ptosis was the most common initial symptoms in both groups. Patients with ptosis of normal thymus gland were 25 (83%, 25/30). Patients with ptosis of abnormal thymus gland were 13 (68%, 13/19). Patients with normal thymus gland: dysphagia 2 (7%, 2/30), diplopia 4 (13%, 4/30), fatigue 4 (13%, 4/30), dysarthria 3, (10 %, 13/30). Patients with abnormal thymus gland: dysphagia 3 (16%, 3/19), diplopia 6 (32%, 6/19), fatigue 3 (16%, 3/19), dysarthria 2 (10%, 2/19). ② Differences of clinical manifestation of two groups: Ptosis was the most common clinical manifestation in both groups. Patients with ptosis of normal thymus gland were 29 (97%, 29/30). Patients with ptosis of abnormal thymus gland were 15 (79%, 15/19). The rates of fatigue and breathing disorder in patients with abnormal thymus gland were higher than patients with normal thymus gland. Myasthenia crisis occurred in 3 patients (16 %, 3/19) in abnormal thymus gland group, with 1 (3%, 1/30) in abnormal thymus gland group. ③ Differences of age of onset and modified Osserman classification: The rate of type Ⅰ (63%, 19/30) in patients with normal thymus gland was higher than patients (42%, 8/19) with abnormal thymus gland. The rates of type Ⅱa, Ⅱb and Ⅲ (58 %) in patients with abnormal thymus gland were higher than patients (37%, 8/19) with normal thymus gland. But no differences were found between two groups (P > 0.05). Patient number of onset from 20 to 29 year old in abnormal group (47%) was higher than that in normal group (20%). Comparison of two groups was χ2=4.10 and P < 0.05. ④ Comparison of the humoral immunol indexes of two groups: The levels of IgG, IgA, C3 and CH50 in abnormal group were higher than those in normal group. But no differences were found between two groups (P > 0.05). | 7 | Anti-stacking synthesis of MXene-reduced graphene oxide sponges for aqueous zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitor with improved performance显示文摘Two‑dimensional MXenes with an enormous active surface area are considered to be significant cathode materials for Zn‑ion hybrid supercapacitors. However, the nanosheets are easily self-restacked during the assembly into macroscopic porous electrodes, resulting in a significantly reduced effective surface area, hindering their applications in energy storage. Here, MXenes are subtly distributed on the surface of the sponge in a coral-like structure rather than participating in the assembly of the framework, which has suppressed the self-restacking of MXene effectively, improved the hydrophilicity of the sponge, and provided fast diffusion channels for electrolyte ions. Therefore, the MXene-TiC-reduced graphene oxide sponge exhibits excellent electrical conductivity, an enormous specific surface area with abundant accessible electroactive sites, and superior electrochemical performance. The resulting sponge demonstrates an outstanding specific capacity, up to 501 mAh g–1 at 0.2 A g–1 , with excellent capacity retention (90%) after 3100 cycles as Zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitor cathodes. Furthermore, it exhibits an elegant gravimetric energy density of 486 mWh g–1 at 415 mW g–1 , which has surpassed most leading MXene-based Zn-ion cathodes.
