1Improvement of stability of trivalent chromium electroplating of Ti based IrO_2+Ta_2O_5 coating anodes显示文摘The preparation process and properties of the thermally prepared Ti anodes coated with IrO2+Ta2O5 was studied. The structure and morphologies of the IrO2+Ta2O5 coatings were determined by XRD and SEM. Their electrochemical properties were studied by polarization curve and cyclic voltammetry. Trivalent chromium electroplating using Ti/IrO2+Ta2O5 anodes is carried out and the results were analyzed. Results show that this anode exhibits excellent electrochemical activity and stability in sulfate electrolysis. The electrocatalytic activity is determined not only by the content of IrO2 but also the structure and morphology of the anode coatings. The electroplating results indicats that Ti/IrO2+Ta2O5 anodes have excellent capabilities and merits in improving the stability of trivalent chromium electroplating in sulfate system.LI Baosong LIN An GAN Fuxing 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z1:3
2Alternating Pulse Current in Eiectrocoagulation for Wastewater Treatment to Prevent the Passivation of Al Electrode显示文摘A novel current feed style,alternating pulse current,was proposed in electrocoagulation aiming at preventing the passivation of electrode materials.The open circuit potential(OCP)measurements after anodic and cathodic potentiodynamic polarization showed that cathodic polarization could activate Al electrode.The surface of Al electrode after alternating pulse current electrocoagulation was investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and the results indicate that passivation of Al is not observed.Furthermore,the simulated wastewater treatment tests show that alternating pulse current electrocoagulation has a visible energy saving effect and is worthy of generalization.MAO Xuhui HONG Song ZHU Hua LIN Hui WEI Lin GAN Fuxing 2008Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2008,23,2:2

8Enhanced electrochemical oxidation of phenol by introducing ferric ions and UV radiation显示文摘The mineralization of phenol in aerated electrochemical oxidation has been investigated.The results show that a cathodic Fenton process can occur when the Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni alloy material is used as cathode in solution containing ferric or ferrous ions; moreover,the reinforcement of cathodic Fenton process on the total organic carbon (TOC) removal rate of phenol is quite distinct.Among the metallic ions investigated,the ferric ion is the best catalyst for the electrochemical mineralization of phenol at initial pH 2.0,and the optimal concentration range is from 50 to 200 mg/L.The favorable pH range and supporting electrolyte (Na2SO4) concentration for mineralization of phenol in solution containing ferrous ions are 1.8-2.3 and below 0.10 mol/L,respectively.UV radiation can improve the TOC removal rate of phenol,but the enhanced effect varies in different solutions.In the solution containing ferric ions,an equal sum or synergetic effect can be observed.The optimal effect of electrolysis system under UV radiation is achieved in the solution containing 50 mg/L Fe3+ with a final removal percentage of 81.3%.MAO, Xuhui WEI, Lin HONG, Song ZHU, Hua LIN, An GAN, Fuxing 2008Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,11:1

12Preparation of Rectorite-TiO_2 and Its Application in the Solar Photocatalytic Degradation of Dye Wastewater显示文摘A photocatalyst consisting of TiO_2 powder and rectorite was prepared and activated utilizing solar light and used for degradation of simulated dye wastewater (methyl solution). The effects of roasting temperature, the way of adding rectorite, and the amount of the rectorite on the photocatalytic activity have been investigated. The results indicated that rectorite-TiO_2 photocatalyst prepared with the right proportional amount of rectorite and titanium dioxide, could effectively degrade the methyl orange solution in sunlight. After reacting in sunlight for 8 hours, the methyl orange decolorization reached 96%.
