1A review of chatter vibration research in milling显示文摘Chatter is a self-excited vibration of parts in machining systems. It is widely present across a range of cutting processes, and has an impact upon both efficiency and quality in production processing. A great deal of research has been dedicated to the development of technologies that are able to predict and detect chatter. The purpose of these technologies is to facilitate the avoidance of chatter during cutting processes, which leads to better surface precision, higher productivity,and longer tool life. This paper summarizes the current state of the art in research regarding the problems of how to arrive at stable chatter prediction, chatter identification, and chatter control/-suppression, with a focus on milling processes. Particular focus is placed on the theoretical relationship between cutting chatter and process damping, tool runout, and gyroscopic effect, as well as the importance of this for chatter prediction. 2Anti-diabetic effects and mechanisms of action of a Chinese herbal medicine preparation JQ-R in vitro and in diabetic KKAy mice显示文摘Refined-JQ(JQ-R) is a mixture of refined extracts from Coptis chinensis(Ranunculaceae),Astragalus membranaceus(Leguminosae) and Lonicera japonica(Caprifoliaceae), the three major herbs of Jin Qi-Jiang Tang tablet, a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) formula. The mechanisms by which JQ-R regulates glucose metabolism and improves insulin sensitivity were studied in type 2 diabetic KK^(Ay)mice and insulin-resistant L6 myotubes. To investigate the mechanisms by which JQ-R improves insulin sensitivity, a model of insulin-resistant cells induced with palmitic acid(PA) was established in L6 myotubes. Glucose uptake and expression of factors involved in insulin signaling, stress, and inflammatory pathways were detected by immunoblotting. JQ-R showed beneficial effects on glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance in a euglycemic clamp experiment and decreased fasting insulin levels in diabetic KK^(Ay)mice. JQ-R also improved the plasma lipid profiles. JQ-R directly increased the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and decreased malondialdehyde(MDA) as well as inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) levels in insulin-resistant L6 cells, and elevated the insulin-stimulated glucose uptake with upregulated phosphorylation of AKT. The phosphorylation levels of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB p65), inhibitor of NF-κB(IκBα), c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK1/2) and extracellular-signal-regulated kinases(ERK1/2) were also changed after JQ-R treatment compared with the control group. Together these findings suggest that JQ-R improved glucose and lipid metabolism in diabetic KK^(Ay)mice. JQ-R directly enhanced insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in insulin-resistant myotubes with improved insulin signalling and inflammatory response and oxidative stress. 4Hepatitis B virus X protein modulates the apoptosis of hepatoma cell line induced by TRAIL显示文摘The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of HBx on the apoptosis of hepatoma cells induced by TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and to study prelimi- nary molecular mechanisms for its effects. In order to set up a model in vitro, BEL7402-HBx cell line, stably expressing HBx mRNA, was established by stable transfection of pcDNA-HBx, which contains HBx gene, into hepatoma cell line BEL7402. Control cell line BEL7402-cDNA3, stably transfected with pcDNA3, was set up simultaneously as a control. Trypan blue exclusion test, caspase 3 activity detection and TUNEL assay were performed to detect the apoptosis of BEL7402, BEL7402-cDNA3, BEL7402-HBx induced by TRAIL. The expression of TRAIL recep- tors in three groups was analyzed by Flow cytometry. In addition, phosphorothioated antisense oligonucleotide against the translation initial region of HBx gene (PS-asODNs/HBx) was used to block the expression of HBx in HepG2.2.15 cells and to further confirm the effects of HBx on TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Trypan blue exclusion test indicated that TRAIL had a dose-dependent cytotoxicity on BEL7402, BEL7402-cDNA3 and BEL7402-HBx cells. Under treatment of the same concentration of TRAIL, BEL7402-HBx had a higher apoptosis rate and a higher level of Caspase 3 activation than BEL7402 and BEL7402-cDNA3. TUENL assay showed that the apoptosis rate of BEL7402-HBx induced by 10 μg/L TRAIL was 41.4%±7.2%, signifi- cantly higher than that of BEL7402 and BEL7402-cDNA3 cells. Blockade of HBx expression in Hep G2.2.15 cells partly inhibited the apoptosis induced by TRAIL. The introduction or blockade of HBx did not change the expression pattern of TRAIL receptors. The present study firstly con- firms the effects of HBx on TRAIL- induced apoptosis from two different points and it is not re- lated with the expression level of TRAIL receptors. 5Construction of Soluble Mamu-B~*1703,a Class I Major Histocompatibility Complex of Chinese Rhesus Macaques,Monomer and Tetramer Loaded with a Simian Immunodeficiency Virus Peptide显示文摘Chinese-descent rhesus macaques have become more prevalent for HIV infection and vaccine investigation than Indian-origin macaques. Most of the currently available data and reagents such as major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I tetramers, however, were derived from Indian-origin macaques due to the dominant use of these animals in history. Although there are significant differences in the immunogenetic background between the two macaque populations, they share a few of common MHC class I alleles. We reported in this study the procedure for preparation of a soluble Mamu-B*1703 (a MHC class I molecule of Chinese macaques) monomer and tetramer loaded with a dominant simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) epitope IW9 (IRYPKTFGW) that was identified to be Mamu-B*1701-restricted in Indian macaques. The DNA fragment encoding the Mamu-B*1703 extracellular domain fused with a BirA substrate peptide (BSP) was amplified from a previously cloned cDNA and inserted into a prokaratic expression vector. In the presence of the antigenic peptide IW9 and light chain β2-microglobulin, the expressed heavy chain was refolded into a soluble monomer. After biotinylation, four monomers were polymerized as a tetramer by phycoerythrin-conjugated streptavidin. The tetramer, having been confirmed to have the right conformation, was a potential tool for investigation of antigen-specific CD8+ T-lymphocytes in SIV vaccine models of Chinese macaques. 6The mechanical property and corrosion resistance of Mg-Zn-Nd alloy fine wires in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Titanium and its alloy are commonly used as surgical staples in the reconstruction of intestinal tract and stomach,however they cannot be absorbed in human body,which may cause a series of complications to influence further diagnosis.Magnesium and its alloy have great potential as surgical staples,because they can be degraded in human body and have good mechanical properties and biocompatibility.In this study,Mg-2Zn-0.5Nd(ZN20)alloy fine wires showed great potential as surgical staples.The ultimate tensile strength and elongation of ZN20 alloy fine wires were 248 MPa and 13%,respectively,which could be benefit for the deformation of the surgical staples from U-shape to B-shape.The bursting pressure of the wire was about 40 kPa,implying that it can supply sufficient mechanical support after anastomosis.Biochemical test and histological analysis illustrated good biocompatibility and biological safety of ZN20 alloy fine wire.The residual tensile stress formed on the outside of ZN20 fine wire during drawing would accelerate the corrosion.The second phase had a negative influence on corrosion property due to galvanic corrosion.The corrosion rate in vitro was faster than that in vivo due to the capsule formed on the surface of ZN20 alloy fine wire.Ming Gao Di Na Xiangqiao Ni Lihui Song Iniobong PEtim Ke Yang Lili Tan Zheng Ma 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:4
7Human endogenous retroviral syncytin exerts inhibitory effect on invasive phenotype of B16F10 melanoma cells显示文摘Objective:Fusogenic endogenous retroviral syncytin plays an important role in the formation of syncytiotrophoblasts in human placenta.Apart from its expression in placenta,brain and testis,syncytin has also been found in many cancers.Although syncytin has been proposed to serve as a positive prognostic marker in some cancers,the underlying mechanism is unclear.The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of syncytin expression on the invasive phenotype of melanoma cells.Methods:The eukaryotic expression plasmid for syncytin-EGFP was constructed and transfected into B16F10 melanoma cells.The effect of syncytin on the invasion potential of tumor cells was evaluated in B16F10 subline cells that stably expressed syncytin-EGFP fusion protein or EGFP alone.Results:The B16F10 sublines that stably expressed syncytin-EGFP or EGFP alone were established respectively and confirmed by immunofluorescent and immunoblotting assay.Syncytin expression in B16F10cells was associated with decreased cell proliferation,migration and invasion.Multinucleated giant cells that contained as many as five nuclei were induced in syncytin-expressing cells.In addition,syncytin expression did not alter the sensitivity of B16F10 cells to trichosanthin,a toxin that damages syncytiotrophoblasts more efficiently than other tissues.Conclusions:These results suggest that syncytin expression in some cancers may confine their invasion potential and thus serve as a positive prognostic factor.Hongbo Mo Dongyun Ouyang Lihui Xu Qi Gao Xianhui He 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,5:3
8Characteristics of Oil and Gas Accumulation in Yong'an-Meitai Area of the Fushan Depression,Beibuwan Basin,South China Sea显示文摘The Yong'an-Meitai area is the focus of the present exploration in the Fushan Depression,Beibuwan Basin,South China Sea. All oils from this area are geochemically characterized by higher Pr/Ph ratio,higher proportion of heavy molecular weight hydrocarbons,and higher proportion of C29 regular steranes,which indicate that the organic matter of source rocks might have been deposited in an oxidizing palaeoenvironment and be dominated by higher plant organic matter input. The oil from E3w2 (the second member of Weizhou Fm. of the Oligocene) has a much higher density,relatively higher Pr/nC17 and Ph/nC18 ratios,and a 'UCM-unresolved complex mixture' on gas chromatograms,which indicate that it has been slightly biodegraded. CPI and other terpane and sterane isomer ratios suggest they are all mature oils. The timing of oil charging in E3w2 and E2l1 (the first member of the Liushagang Fm. of the Eocene) determined by the homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions and thermal evolution history are from 9-3 Ma and 8-3 Ma,respectively. Thus,the interpretation of E3w2 as a secondary reservoir is unlikely. The timing of oil charging is later than that of hydrocarbon generating and expulsion of Liushagang Fm. source rocks and trap formation,which is favorable for oil accumulation in this area. All molecular parameters that are used for tracing oil filling direction decrease with shallower burial depth,which suggests vertical oil migration. 10Preoperative ultrasound combined with routine blood tests in predicting the malignant risk of pancreatic cystic neoplasms显示文摘Objective:Accurate preoperative identification of benign or malignant pancreatic cystic neoplasms(PCN)may help clinicians make better intervention choices and will be essential for individualized treatment.Methods:Preoperative ultrasound and laboratory examination findings,and demographic characteristics were collected from patients.Multiple logistic regression was used to identify independent risk factors associated with malignant PCN,which were then included in the nomogram and validated with an external cohort.The Net Reclassification Index(NRI)and Integrated Discrimination Improvement(IDI)were calculated to evaluate the improvement in the predictive power of the new model with respect to that of a combined imaging and tumor marker prediction model.Results:Malignant PCN were found in 83(40.7%)and 33(38.7%)of the model and validation cohorts,respectively.Multivariate analysis identified age,tumor location,imaging of tumor boundary,blood type,mean hemoglobin concentration,neutrophil-tolymphocyte ratio,carbohydrate antigen 19-9,and carcinoembryonic antigen as independent risk factors for malignant PCN.The calibration curve indicated that the predictions based on the nomogram were in excellent agreement with the actual observations.A nomogram score cutoff of 192.5 classified patients as having low vs.high risk of malignant PCN.The model achieved good C-statistics of 0.929(95%CI 0.890–0.968,P<0.05)and 0.951(95%CI 0.903–0.998,P<0.05)in predicting malignancy in the development and validation cohorts,respectively.NRI=0.268;IDI=0.271(P<0.001 for improvement).The DCA curve indicated that our model yielded greater clinical benefits than the comparator model.Conclusions:The nomogram showed excellent performance in predicting malignant PCN and may help surgeons select patients for detailed examination and surgery.The nomogram is freely available at http://gffzz301f03ad8b874f7esfkncxb6w9vpv6xqx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/DynNomapp/.Xiuchao Wang Junjin Wang Xi Wei Lihui Zhao Bo Ni Zekun Li Chuntao Gao Song Gao Tiansuo Zhao Jian Wang Weidong Ma Xiao Hu Jihui Hao 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,10:1
11The inhibiting effect of 1.4 recombinant P chromosome of wheat-Agropyron cristatum addition line on the Ph gene显示文摘P chromosomes may carry a genetic system that inhibits the Ph gene in wheat. Abnormal chromosome synapsis in wheat-Agropyron cristatum addition line II-21-2 (additional 1·4 recombinant P chromosome) was observed in this study. The results of cytogenetics and Ph1 gene amplification showed that the Ph1 gene was normal and the average number of quadrivalents or hexavalents was determined to be 0.41 and 0.13, respectively, in pollen-mother cells of wheat-Agropyron cristatum addition line II-21-2. The analysis of dual-color GISH/FISH showed that the P chromosomes were not directly involved in the composition of multivalents but could inhibit the effect of the Ph gene, leading to synapsis of wheat homoeologous chromosomes and translocation between wheat homoeologous chromosomes such as 3B-3D chromosomes. 13Morphological change and migration of revegetated dunes in the Ketu Sandy Land of the Qinghai Lake,China显示文摘Alpine revegetated dunes have been barely researched in terms of morphological change and migration within its regional aeolian environments. To reveal the sand-fixing and land-reforming mechanisms of artificial vegetation, we observed the morphology and migration of four dunes with four revegetated types(Hippophae rhamnoides Linn., Salix cheilophila Schneid., Populus simonii Carr., and Artemisia desertorum Spreng.) using unpiloted aerial vehicle images and GPS(global positioning system) mapping in 2009 and 2018. Spatial analysis of GIS(geographic information system) revealed that the revegetated dunes exhibited a steady progression from barchan dune shapes to dome or ribbons shapes mainly through knap planation, wing amplification, and slope symmetrization. Generally, conditions of northern aspects, smaller slope degree, and larger altitude of unvegetated dunes would suffer more serious wind erosion. The southward movement of dune wings with a migration speed of 2.0–5.0 m/a and the alternating motion of sand ridges in eastwestern directions led greater stability in revegetated dunes. The moving distances of revegetated dunes remarkably changed in patterns of quadratic or linear function with depositional depth. Compared with unvegetated dunes, the near-surface wind velocity of revegetated dunes decreased by 20%–30%, which led to heavy accumulation in low-flat dunes and erosion in high-steep dunes, but all vegetation species produced obvious sand-fixing benefits(100%–450% and 3%–140% in the lower and higher dune scales of revegetated dunes, respectively) with decreasing sand transport rates and increasing coverages. In practice, the four vegetation species effectively anchored mobile dunes by adapting to regional aeolian environment. However, future revegetation efforts should consider optimizing dune morphology by utilizing H. rhamnoides as a pioneer plant, S. cheilophila and P.microphylla in windward and northward dune positions, and A. desertorum in a sand accumulative southward position. 14A review on sustainable reuse applications of Fenton sludge during wastewater treatment显示文摘The classical Fenton oxidation process(CFOP)is a versatile and effective application that is generally applied for recalcitrant pollutant removal.However,excess iron sludge production largely restricts its widespread application.Fenton sludge is a hazardous solid waste,which is a complex heterogeneous mixture with Fe(OH)3,organic matter,heavy metals,microorganisms,sediment impurities,and moisture.Although studies have aimed to utilize specific Fenton sludge resources based on their iron-rich characteristics,few reports have fully reviewed the utilization of Fenton sludge.As such,this review details current sustainable Fenton sludge reuse systems that are applied during wastewater treatment.Specifically,coagulant preparation,the reuse of Fenton sludge as an iron source in the Fenton process and as a synthetic heterogeneous catalyst/adsorbent,as well as the application of the Fenton sludge reuse system as a heterogeneous catalyst for resource utilization.This is the first review article to comprehensively summarize the utilization of Fenton sludge.In addition,this review suggests future research ideas to enhance the cost-effectiveness,environmental sustainability,and large-scale feasibility of Fenton sludge applications.Lihui Gao Yijun Cao Lizhang Wang Shulei Li 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,6:1
15A rat pup model of cerebral palsy induced by prenatal inflammation and hypoxia显示文摘Animal models of cerebral palsy established by simple infection or the hypoxia/ischemia method cannot effectively simulate the brain injury of a premature infant. Healthy 17-day-pregnant Wistar rats were intraperitoneally injected with lipopolysaccharide then subjected to hypoxia. The pups were used for this study at 4 weeks of age. Simultaneously, a hypoxia/ischemia group and a control group were used for comparison. The results of the footprint test, the balance beam test, the water maze test, neuroelectrophysiological examination and neuropathological examination demonstrated that, at 4 weeks after birth, footprint repeat space became larger between the forelimbs and hindlimbs of the rats, the latency period on the balance beam and in the Morris water maze was longer, place navigation and ability were poorer, and the stimulus intensity that induced the maximal wave amplitude of the compound muscle action potential was greater in the lipopolysaccharide/hypoxia and hypoxia/ischemia groups than in the control group. We observed irregular cells around the periventricular area, periventricular leukomalacia and breakage of the nuclear membrane in the lipopolysaccharide/hypoxia and hypoxia/ischemia groups. 18The Southwest Indian Ocean Thermocline Dome in CMIP5 Models:Historical Simulation and Future Projection显示文摘Using 20 models of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5), the simulation of the Southwest Indian Ocean(SWIO) thermocline dome is evaluated and its role in shaping the Indian Ocean Basin(IOB) mode following El Ni ?no investigated. In most of the CMIP5 models, due to an easterly wind bias along the equator, the simulated SWIO thermocline is too deep, which could further influence the amplitude of the interannual IOB mode. A model with a shallow(deep)thermocline dome tends to simulate a strong(weak) IOB mode, including key attributes such as the SWIO SST warming,antisymmetric pattern during boreal spring, and second North Indian Ocean warming during boreal summer. Under global warming, the thermocline dome deepens with the easterly wind trend along the equator in most of the models.
