| 1 | Characterization of humic acids extracted from the sediments of the various rivers and lakes in China显示文摘The humic acids (HAs) isolated from the sediments of the various rivers,lakes,and reservoirs in China were studied using elemental analyzer,fourier transform infrared (FT-IR),and CP/MAS 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.The results showed that the HAs were characterized by some common chemical and physicochemical properties,but they also pose some differences in the C-containing functional groups.The C/N,C/H,O/C,and O/H ratios differ widely for the various HAs,showing that the elemental composition of the HAs from the various sediments was different due to the different environmental conditions.All HAs show similar spectra with different intense absorbance in the region of 4000-2000 cm-1,suggesting that they have very similar structures and functional groups.The absorbance region between 1900 and 400 cm-1 also showed similar spectra with different intense absorbance,different relative intensities,and some relevant differences for the various HAs.The total aromaticities for the six HAs varied from 23.1% to 41.8%.The differences in the elemental composition and functional groups for the various HAs were attributed to their different biogeochemical origins.The HAs in the sediments from Taihu Lake (one freshwater shallow lake with heavy eutrophication),the Pearl River (the tropical river),and the Liao River (located at the joint of the temperate zone and cold-temperate zone) showed different structural properties due to their different geographical and climate zones.These different properties for the six HAs were expected to affect the sorption,distributions,and fates of heavy metals and organic chemicals. | Mengchang HE Chunye LIN | 2008 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2008,20,11: | 35 |
| 2 | Slope Stability Analysis Based on Group Decision Theory and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation显示文摘A slope stability evaluation method is proposed combining group decision theory,the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.The index weight assignment of each evaluation element is determined by group decision theory and the analytic hierarchy process,and the membership degree of each indicator is determined based on fuzzy set theory.According to the weights and memberships,the membership degrees of the criterion layer are obtained by fuzzy operations to evaluate the slope stability.The results show that(1)the evaluation method comprehensively combines the effects of multiple factors on the slope stability,and the evaluation results are accurate;(2)the evaluation method can fully leverage the experience of the expert group and effectively avoid evaluation errors caused by the subjective bias of a single expert;(3)based on a group decision theory entropy model,this evaluation method can quantitatively evaluate the reliability of expert decisions and effectively improve the efficiency of expert group discussion;and(4)the evaluation method can transform the originally fuzzy and subjective slope stability evaluation into a quantitative evaluation. | Peng Xia Xinli Hu Shuangshuang Wu Chunye Ying Chang Liu | 2020 | Journal of Earth Science2020,31,6: | 11 |
| 3 | Phot2-regulated relocation of NPH_3 mediates phototropic response to high-intensity blue light in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Two redundant blue-light receptors, known as phototropins(phot1 and phot2), influence a variety of physiological responses, including phototropism, chloroplast positioning, and stomatal opening in Arabidopsis thaliana.Whereas phot1 functions in both low-and high-intensity blue light(HBL), phot2 functions primarily in HBL. Here, we aimed to elucidate phot2-specific functions by screening for HBLinsensitive mutants among mutagenized Arabidopsis phot1 mutants. One of the resulting phot2 signaling associated(p2 sa) double mutants, phot1 p2 sa2, exhibited phototropic defects that could be restored by constitutively expressing NON-PHOTOTROPIC HYPOCOTYL 3(NPH3), indicating that P2 SA2 was allelic to NPH3. It was observed that NPH3-GFP signal mainly localized to and clustered on the plasma membrane in darkness. This NPH3 clustering on the plasma High-Immembrane was not affected by mutations in genes encoding proteins that interact with NPH3, including PHOT1, PHOT2 and ROOT PHOTOTROPISM 2(RPT2). However, the HBL irradiationmediated release of NPH3 proteins into the cytoplasm was inhibited in phot1 mutants and enhanced in phot2 and rpt2-2 mutants. Furthermore, HBL-induced hypocotyl phototropism was enhanced in phot1 mutants and inhibited in the phot2 and rpt2-2 mutants. | 4 | Sorption of tetracycline to sediments and soils:assessing the roles of pH,the presence of cadmium and properties of sediments and soils显示文摘Batch sorption experiments were conducted to evaluate the sorption behavior of tetracycline(TC,H_(3)L)on sediments and soils in the presence and absence of cadmium(Cd),as affected by pH and properties of sediments and soils.The results indicated stronger nonlinearity and higher capacity of TC sorption on sediments than on soils.Sorption of TC also strongly depended on environmental factors and sediment/soil properties.Lower pH facilitated TC sorption through a cation exchange mechanism,which also took place at pH values above 5.5,where TC existed as a zwitterion(H_(2)L^(0))or anions(HL^(-)and L^(2-)).When pH was above 7,however,ligand-promoted dissolution of TC might occur due to TC weakening the Al-O bond of aluminum oxide and the Fe-O bond of iron oxide.Natural organic matter(NOM)plays a more important role in TC sorption than cation exchange capacity(CEC)and clay contents.The presence of Cd(II)increased TC sorption on both sediments and soils,which resulted from the decrease of equilibrium solution pH caused by Cd^(2+)exchange with H^(+)ions of sediment/soil surfaces.The increase of TC sorption was also related to the formation of TC-Cd complexes,where Cd^(2+)acted as a bridge between the sediment/soil and TC. | Guixiang ZHANG Xitao LIU Ke SUN Ye ZHAO Chunye LIN | 2010 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2010,4,4: | 5 |

| 6 | Peroxymonosulfate assisted mechanochemical method for the degradation of phenanthrene in contaminated soils显示文摘In recent years,mechanochemical method has received attention in the field of degrading pollutants,especially for persistent organic pollutants.In this study,peroxymonosulfate(PMS)as a co-grinding reagent,coupled with contaminated soil were placed in a ball mill for mechanochemical reaction.Through investigating the influences of ball-milling parameters on the degradation efficiency,the reaction conditions were optimized.Under the optimal condition(mass ratio of soil to oxidant is 10:1,mass ratio of ball to material is 30:1,rotation speed of ball mill is 400 rpm),more than 98%phenanthrene(PHE)in contaminated soil could be degraded within 4 h.Meanwhile,the effects of soil organic matter content and soil type on the degradation efficiency were investigated.The results showed that the organic matter content was negatively correlated with the degradation efficiency.XPS analysis provided evidence for the breakage of the CeC bond and confirmed that Fe in soil was an important factor in activating PMS.XRD further verified the destruction of PHE structure.GC-MS analysis was performed to identify the intermediates and possible pathways were proposed. | Guoxuan Fan Xitao Liu Chunye Lin Peizhong Li | 2018 | Emerging Contaminants2018,4,1: | 4 |
| 7 | Biodegradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sediments from the Daliao River watershed, China显示文摘The Daliao River, as an important water system in Northeast China, was reported to be heavily polluted by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Aerobic biodegradations of four selected PAHs (naphthalene, phenanthrene, uorene and anthracene) alone or in their mixture in river sediments from the Daliao River water systems were studied in microcosm systems. Eects of additional carbon source, inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus, temperature variation on PAHs degradation were also investigated. Results showed that the degradation of phenanthrene in water alone system was faster than that in water-sediment combined system. Degradation of phenanthrene in sediment was enhanced by adding yeast extract and ammonium, but retarded by adding sodium acetate and not significantly inuenced by adding phosphate. Although PAHs could also be biodegraded in sediment under low temperature (5°C), much lower degradation rate was observed. Sediments from the three main streams of the Daliao River water system (the Hun River, the Taizi River and the Daliao River) demonstrated dierent degradation capacities and patterns to four PAHs. Average removal rates (15 or 19 d) of naphthalene, phenanthrene, uorene and anthracene by sediment were in the range of 0.062-0.087, 0.005-0.066, 0.008- 0.016 and 0-0.059 mg/(L·d), respectively. As a result, naphthalene was most easily degraded compound, anthracene was the hardest one.
