1A human circulating immune cell landscape in aging and COVID-19显示文摘Age-associated changes in immune cells have been linked to an increased risk for infection.However,a global and detailed characterization of the changes that human circulating immune cells undergo with age is lacking.Here,we combined scRNA-seq,mass cytometry and sCATAC-seq to compare immune cell types in peripheral blood collected from young and old subjects and patients with COVID-19.We found that the immune cell landscape was reprogrammed with age and was characterized by T cell polarization from naive and memory cells to effector,cytotoxic,exhausted and reg-ulatory cells,along with increased late natural killer cells,age-associated B cells,inflammatory monocytes and age-associated dendritic cells.In addition,the expression of genes,which were implicated in coron-avirus susceptibility,was upregulated in a cell subtype-specific manner with age.Notably,COVID-19 promoted age-induced immune cell polarization and gene expression related to inflammation and cellular senes-cence.Therefore,these findings suggest that a dysreg-ulated immune system and increased gene expression associated with SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility may at least partially account for COVID-19 vulnerability in the elderly.Yingfeng Zheng Xiuxing Liu Wenqing Le Lihui Xie He Li Wen Wen Si Wang Shuai Ma Zhaohao Huang Jinguo Ye Wen Shi Yanxia Ye Zunpeng Liu Moshi Song Weiqi Zhang Jing-Dong J.Han Juan Carlos lzpisua Belmonte Chuanle Xiao Jing Qu Hongyang Wang Guang-Hui Liu Wenru Su 2020Protein & Cell2020,11,10:10
2Integrated biomarkers in wild crucian carp for early warning of water quality in Hun River, North China显示文摘Metabolizing enzymes play important roles in the detoxification of various pollutants in aquatic organisms, thereby they can also be used to provide early-warning signals of environmental risks. Real-time quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction assays were developed to quantify cytochrome P450 1A(CYP1A), superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GPx), catalase(CAT), and glutathione-S-transferase(GST) in crucian carp(Carassius auratus). The methods were then used to detect the respective mRNA expression levels in liver tissue in wild crucian carp from the Hun River, North China. CYP1A mRNA expression was significantly up-regulated in fish from stations S5, S6, and S8(p < 0.05). SOD mRNA expression was significantly down-regulated in downstream areas relative to fish from upstream sites(p < 0.05); GPx and CAT mRNA expression levels were also down-regulated at S9(p < 0.05). In contrast, GST mRNA expression showed no obvious change between fish collected from up- or downstream areas of the river. 3The mechanical property and corrosion resistance of Mg-Zn-Nd alloy fine wires in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Titanium and its alloy are commonly used as surgical staples in the reconstruction of intestinal tract and stomach,however they cannot be absorbed in human body,which may cause a series of complications to influence further diagnosis.Magnesium and its alloy have great potential as surgical staples,because they can be degraded in human body and have good mechanical properties and biocompatibility.In this study,Mg-2Zn-0.5Nd(ZN20)alloy fine wires showed great potential as surgical staples.The ultimate tensile strength and elongation of ZN20 alloy fine wires were 248 MPa and 13%,respectively,which could be benefit for the deformation of the surgical staples from U-shape to B-shape.The bursting pressure of the wire was about 40 kPa,implying that it can supply sufficient mechanical support after anastomosis.Biochemical test and histological analysis illustrated good biocompatibility and biological safety of ZN20 alloy fine wire.The residual tensile stress formed on the outside of ZN20 fine wire during drawing would accelerate the corrosion.The second phase had a negative influence on corrosion property due to galvanic corrosion.The corrosion rate in vitro was faster than that in vivo due to the capsule formed on the surface of ZN20 alloy fine wire.Ming Gao Di Na Xiangqiao Ni Lihui Song Iniobong PEtim Ke Yang Lili Tan Zheng Ma 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,1:4

5Identification of subsurface damage of 4H-SiC wafers by combining photo-chemical etching and molten-alkali etching显示文摘In this work,we propose to reveal the subsurface damage(SSD)of 4H-SiC wafers by photo-chemical etching and identify the nature of SSD by molten-alkali etching.Under UV illumination,SSD acts as a photoluminescence-black defect.The selective photo-chemical etching reveals SSD as the ridge-like defect.It is found that the ridge-like SSD is still crystalline 4H-SiC with lattice distortion.The molten-KOH etching of the 4H-SiC wafer with ridge-like SSD transforms the ridge-like SSD into groove lines,which are typical features of scratches.This means that the underlying scratches under mechanical stress give rise to the formation of SSD in 4H-SiC wafers.SSD is incorporated into 4H-SiC wafers during the lapping,rather than the chemical mechanical polishing(CMP).Wenhao Geng Guang Yang Xuqing Zhang Xi Zhang Yazhe Wang Lihui Song Penglei Chen Yiqiang Zhang Xiaodong Pi Deren Yang Rong Wang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,10:2
6Discrimination of dislocations in 4H-SiC by inclination angles of molten-alkali etched pits显示文摘Discrimination of dislocations is critical to the statistics of dislocation densities in 4H silicon carbide(4H-SiC),which are routinely used to evaluate the quality of 4H-SiC single crystals and homoepitaxial layers.In this work,we show that the inclination angles of the etch pits of molten-alkali etched 4H-SiC can be adopted to discriminate threading screw dislocations(TSDs),threading edge dislocations(TEDs)and basal plane dislocations(BPDs)in 4H-SiC.In n-type 4H-SiC,the inclination angles of the etch pits of TSDs,TEDs and BPDs in molten-alkali etched 4H-SiC are in the ranges of 27°−35°,8°−15°and 2°−4°,respectively.In semi-insulating 4H-SiC,the inclination angles of the etch pits of TSDs and TEDs are in the ranges of 31°−34°and 21°−24°,respectively.The inclination angles of dislocation-related etch pits are independent of the etching duration,which facilitates the discrimination and statistic of dislocations in 4H-SiC.More significantly,the inclination angle of a threading mixed dislocations(TMDs)is found to consist of characteristic angles of both TEDs and TSDs.This enables to distinguish TMDs from TSDs in 4H-SiC.Guang Yang Hao Luo Jiajun Li Qinqin Shao Yazhe Wang Ruzhong Zhu Xi Zhang Lihui Song Yiqiang Zhang Lingbo Xu Can Cui Xiaodong Pi Deren Yang Rong Wang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,12:2
7Occurrence, variations, and risk assessment of neonicotinoid insecticides in Harbin section of the Songhua River, northeast China显示文摘Neonicotinoid insecticides(NNIs)have been intensively used and exploited,resulting in their presence and accumulation in multiple environmental media.We herein investigated the current levels of eight major NNIs in the Harbin section of the Songhua River in northeast China,providing the first systematic report on NNIs in this region.At least four NNIs in water and three in sediment were detected,with total concentrations ranging from 30.8 to 135 ng L^(-1) and from 0.61 to 14.7 ng g^(-1) dw,respectively.Larger spatial variations in surface water NNIs concentrations were observed in tributary than mainstream(p<0.05)due to the intensive human activities(e.g.,horticulture,urban landscaping,and household pet flea control)and the discharge of wastewater from many treatment plants.There was a significant positive correlation(p<0.05)between the concentrations of residual imidacloprid(IMI),clothianidin(CLO),and S4NNIs in the sediment and total organic carbon(TOC).Due to its high solubility and low octanol-water partition coefficient(Kow),the sediment-water exchange behavior shows that NNIs in sediments can re-enter into the water body.Human exposure risk was assessed using the relative potency factor(RPF),which showed that infants have the highest exposure risk(estimated daily intake(SIMIeq EDI):31.9 ng kg^(-1) bw$d^(-1)).The concentration thresholds of NNIs for aquatic organisms in the Harbin section of the Songhua River were determined using the species sensitivity distribution(SSD)approach,resulting in a value of 355 ng L^(-1) for acute hazardous concentration for 5%of species(HC5)and 165 ng L^(-1) for chronic HC5.Aquatic organisms at low trophic levels were more vulnerable to potential harm from NNIs.Zhikun Liu Song Cui Leiming Zhang Zulin Zhang Rupert Hough Qiang Fu Yi-Fan Li Lihui An Mingzhi Huang Kunyang Li Yuxin Ke Fuxiang Zhang 2021Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,4:2

11Temporal-spatial distributions of road silt loadings and fugitive road dust emissions in Beijing from 2019 to 2020显示文摘Road silt loading(sL)is an important parameter in the fugitive road dust(FRD)emissions.In this study,the improved Testing Re-entrained Aerosol Kinetic Emissions from Roads(TRAKER)combined with the AP-42 method was firstly developed to quickly measure and estimate the sLs of paved roads in Beijing,China.The annual average sLs in Beijing was 0.59±0.31 g/m^(2)in 2020,and decreased by 22.4%compared with that in 2019.The seasonal variations of sLs followed the order of spring>winter>summer>autumn in the two years.The seasonal mean road sLs on the same type road in the four seasons presented a decline trend from^(2)019 to 2020,especially on the Expressway,decreasing 47.4%-72.7%.The road sLs on the different type roads in the same season followed the order of Major arterial∼Minor arterial∼Branch road>Express road,and Township road∼Country highway>Provincial highway∼National highway.The emission intensities of PM10 and PM_(2.5)from FRD in Beijing in 2020 were lower than those in 2019.The PM10 and PM_(2.5)emission intensities at the four planning areas in the two years all presented the order of the capital functional core area>the urban functional expansion area>the urban development new area>the ecological conservation and development area.The annual emissions of PM10 and PM_(2.5)from FRD in Beijing in 2020 were 74,886 ton and 18,118 ton,respectively,decreasing by∼33.3%compared with those in 2019.Haibin Wang Lihui Han Tingting Li Song Qu Yuncheng Zhao Shoubin Fan Tong Chen Haoran Cui Junfang Liu 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,10:1
12L-two-optimal identification of errors-in-variables models:a frequency-domain approach显示文摘This paper proposes an L-two-optimal identification approach to cope with errors-in-variables model (EIVM) identification. With normalized coprime factor model (NCFM) representations, L-two-optimal approximate models are derived from the framework of an EIVM according to the kernel and image representations of related signals. Based on the optimal approximate models, the v-gap metric is employed as a minimization criterion to optimize the parameters of a system model, and thus the resulting optimization problem can be solved by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In terms of the optimized system model, the noise model (NM) can be readily obtained by right multiplication of an inner. Compared with other EIVM identification methods, the proposed one has a wider scope of applications because the statistical properties of disturbing noises are not demanded. It is also capable of giving identifiability. 13Preoperative ultrasound combined with routine blood tests in predicting the malignant risk of pancreatic cystic neoplasms显示文摘Objective:Accurate preoperative identification of benign or malignant pancreatic cystic neoplasms(PCN)may help clinicians make better intervention choices and will be essential for individualized treatment.Methods:Preoperative ultrasound and laboratory examination findings,and demographic characteristics were collected from patients.Multiple logistic regression was used to identify independent risk factors associated with malignant PCN,which were then included in the nomogram and validated with an external cohort.The Net Reclassification Index(NRI)and Integrated Discrimination Improvement(IDI)were calculated to evaluate the improvement in the predictive power of the new model with respect to that of a combined imaging and tumor marker prediction model.Results:Malignant PCN were found in 83(40.7%)and 33(38.7%)of the model and validation cohorts,respectively.Multivariate analysis identified age,tumor location,imaging of tumor boundary,blood type,mean hemoglobin concentration,neutrophil-tolymphocyte ratio,carbohydrate antigen 19-9,and carcinoembryonic antigen as independent risk factors for malignant PCN.The calibration curve indicated that the predictions based on the nomogram were in excellent agreement with the actual observations.A nomogram score cutoff of 192.5 classified patients as having low vs.high risk of malignant PCN.The model achieved good C-statistics of 0.929(95%CI 0.890–0.968,P<0.05)and 0.951(95%CI 0.903–0.998,P<0.05)in predicting malignancy in the development and validation cohorts,respectively.NRI=0.268;IDI=0.271(P<0.001 for improvement).The DCA curve indicated that our model yielded greater clinical benefits than the comparator model.Conclusions:The nomogram showed excellent performance in predicting malignant PCN and may help surgeons select patients for detailed examination and surgery.The nomogram is freely available at http://gffzz301f03ad8b874f7eskknxbwubkov96pwx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/DynNomapp/.Xiuchao Wang Junjin Wang Xi Wei Lihui Zhao Bo Ni Zekun Li Chuntao Gao Song Gao Tiansuo Zhao Jian Wang Weidong Ma Xiao Hu Jihui Hao 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,10:1
14Bifunctional flame retardant solid-state electrolyte toward safe Li metal batteries显示文摘Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)are one of the most promising alternatives to flammable liquid electrolytes for building safe Li metal batteries.Nevertheless,the poor ionic conductivity at room temperature(RT)and low resistance to Li dendrites seriously hinder the commercialization of SPEs.Herein,we design a bifunctional flame retardant SPE by combining hydroxyapatite(HAP)nanomaterials with Nmethyl pyrrolidone(NMP)in the PVDF-HFP matrix.The addition of HAP generates a hydrogen bond network with the PVDF-HFP matrix and cooperates with NMP to facilitate the dissociation of Li TFSI in the PVDF-HFP matrix.Consequently,the prepared SPE demonstrates superior ionic conductivity at RT,excellent fireproof properties,and strong resistance to Li dendrites.The assembled Li symmetric cell with prepared SPE exhibits a stable cycling performance of over 1200 h at 0.2 m A cm^(-2),and the solid-state LiFePO_4||Li cell shows excellent capacity retention of 85.3%over 600 cycles at 0.5 C.Qiang Lv Yajie Song Bo Wang Shangjie Wang Bochen Wu Yutong Jing Huaizheng Ren Shengbo Yang Lei Wang Lihui Xiao Dianlong Wang Huakun Liu Shixue Dou 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,6:1

18A Novel Friction Stir Spot Riveting of Al/Cu Dissimilar Materials显示文摘In order to eliminate the disadvantages of the keyhole in conventional friction stir spot welding joint and attain the highstrength lap joint of Al/Cu dissimilar metals,a novel welding technique,named as friction stir spot riveting(FSSR),was proposed.A pinless tool and an extra filling stud were employed.The Al/Cu spot joints without keyhole defect were achieved by the FSSR.A Cu anchor-like structure was formed,which greatly increased the mechanical interlocking between the upper Al sheet and lower Cu sheet.The thin intermetallic compounds containing CuAl2 and CuAl at the Al/Cu interface strengthened the joining interface between the Al sheet and the Cu stud.Increasing rotating velocity increased frictional heat and plastic deformation and then eliminated the interfacial joining defects.The FSSR joint with the maximum tensile shear load of 3.50 kN was achieved at a rotating velocity of 1800 rpm and a dwell time of 20 s,whose fracture path passed through the softened region of upper Al sheet.In summary,the novel FSSR technique has the advantages of strong mechanical interlocking and metallurgical bonding between dissimilar materials,thereby attaining the high-strength spot joint.Jinglin Liu Qi Song Lihui Song Shude Ji Mingshen Li Zhen Jia Kang Yang 2021Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,1:0
19Review of Nodule Mineral Image Segmentation Algorithms for Deep-Sea Mineral Resource Assessment显示文摘A large number of nodule minerals exist in the deep sea.Based on the factors of difficulty in shooting,high economic cost and high accuracy of resource assessment,large-scale planned commercial mining has not yet been conducted.Only experimental mining has been carried out in areas with high mineral density and obvious benefits after mineral resource assessment.As an efficient method for deep-sea mineral resource assessment,the deep towing system is equipped with a visual system for mineral resource analysis using collected images and videos,which has become a key component of resource assessment.Therefore,high accuracy in deep-sea mineral image segmentation is the primary goal of the segmentation algorithm.In this paper,the existing deep-sea nodule mineral image segmentation algorithms are studied in depth and divided into traditional and deep learning-based segmentation methods,and the advantages and disadvantages of each are compared and summarized.The deep learning methods show great advantages in deep-sea mineral image segmentation,and there is a great improvement in segmentation accuracy and efficiency compared with the traditional methods.Then,the mineral image dataset and segmentation evaluation metrics are listed.Finally,possible future research topics and improvement measures are discussed for the reference of other researchers.Wei Song Lihui Dong Xiaobing Zhao Jianxin Xia Tongmu Liu Yuxi Shi 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10:0
20A'donor–acceptor'structured semiconductor polymer for near infrared fluorescence imaging guided photodynamic therapy显示文摘Near infrared(NIR)fluorescence imaging guided photodynamic therapy(PDT)is a technique which has been developed in many clinical trials due to its advantage of real-time optical monitoring,specific spatiotemporal selectivity,and minimal invasiveness.For this,photosensitizers with NIR fluorescence emission and high^(1)O_(2)generation quantum yield are highly desirable.Herein,we designed and synthesized a'donor-acceptor'(D-A)structured semiconductor polymer(SP),which was then wrapped with an amphiphilic compound(Pluronic■F127)to prepare water-soluble nanoparticles(F-SP NPs).The obtained F-SP NPs exhibit good water solubility,excellent particle size stability,strong absorbance at deep red region,and strong NIR fluorescent emission characteristics.The maximal mass extinction coe±cient and fluorescence quantum yield of these F-SPs were calculated to be 21.7 L/(g·cm)and 6.5%,respectively.Moreover,the^(1)O_(2)quantum yield of 89%for F-SP NPs has been achieved under 635 nm laser irradiation,which is higher than Methylene Blue,Ce6,and PpIX.The outstanding properties of these F-SP NPs originate from their unique D-A molecular characteristic.This work should help guide the design of novel semiconductor polymer for NIR fluorescent imaging guided PDT applications.Baoling Li Ting Xu Xiaosha Wang Shaojing Zhao Benhua Wang Lihui Jiang Xiangzhi Song Minhuan Lan 2022Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2022,15,4:0
