1Recent advances in two-photon imaging: technology developments and biomedical applications显示文摘In the past two decades, two-photon microscopy (TPM) transforms biomedicalresearch, allowing nondestructive high-resolution fluorescent molecular imaging and label-free imaging in vivo and in real time. Here we review the recent advances of TPM technologyincluding novel laser sources, new image acquisition paradiams, and microendoscopicimaging systems. Then, we survey the capabilities of TPM imagingof biological relevant molecules such as nicotinamideadenine dinucleotide (NADH), flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD),and reactive oxygen species (ROS). 4The genomic and epigenetic footprint of local adaptation to variable climates in kiwifruit显示文摘A full understanding of adaptive genetic variation at the genomic level will help address questions of how organisms adapt to diverse climates.Actinidia eriantha is a shade-tolerant species,widely distributed in the southern tropical region of China,occurring in spatially heterogeneous environments.In the present study we combined population genomic,epigenomic,and environmental association analyses to infer population genetic structure and positive selection across a climatic gradient,and to assess genomic offset to climatic change for A.eriantha.The population structure is strongly shaped by geography and influenced by restricted gene f low resulting from isolation by distance due to habitat fragmentation.In total,we identified 102 outlier loci and annotated 455 candidate genes associated with the genomic basis of climate adaptation,which were enriched in functional categories related to development processes and stress response;both temperature and precipitation are important factors driving adaptive variation.In addition to single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs),a total of 27 single-methylation variants(SMVs)had significant correlation with at least one of four climatic variables and 16 SMVswere located in or adjacent to genes,several of whichwere predicted to be involved in plant response to abiotic or biotic stress.Gradient forest analysis indicated that the central/east populations were predicted to be at higher risk of future population maladaptation under climate change.Our results demonstrate that local climate factors impose strong selection pressures and lead to local adaptation.Such information adds to our understanding of adaptive mechanisms to variable climates revealed by both population genome and epigenome analysis.Xu Zhang Rui Guo Ruinan Shen Jacob BLandis Quan Jiang Fang Liu Hengchang Wang Xiaohong Yao 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,4:0
5AttrLeaks on the Edge:Exploiting Information Leakage from Privacy-Preserving Co-inference显示文摘Collaborative inference(co-inference) accelerates deep neural network inference via extracting representations at the device and making predictions at the edge server,which however might disclose the sensitive information about private attributes of users(e.g.,race).Although many privacy-preserving mechanisms on co-inference have been proposed to eliminate privacy concerns,privacy leakage of sensitive attributes might still happen during inference.In this paper,we explore privacy leakage against the privacy-preserving co-inference by decoding the uploaded representations into a vulnerable form.We propose a novel attack framework named AttrL eaks,which consists of the shadow model of feature extractor(FE),the susceptibility reconstruction decoder,and the private attribute classifier.Based on our observation that values in inner layers of FE(internal representation) are more sensitive to attack,the shadow model is proposed to simulate the FE of the victim in the blackbox scenario and generates the internal representations.Then,the susceptibility reconstruction decoder is designed to transform the uploaded representations of the victim into the vulnerable form,which enables the malicious classifier to easily predict the private attributes.Extensive experimental results demonstrate that AttrLeaks outperforms the state of the art in terms of attack success rate.WANG Zhibo LIU Kaixin HU Jiahui REN Ju GUO Hengchang YUAN Wei 2023Chinese Journal of Electronics2023,32,1:0
6Intravital imaging of adriamycin-induced renal pathology using two-photon microscopy and optical coherence tomography显示文摘Adriamycin(doxorubicin),a common cancer chemotherapeutic drug,can be used to induce a model of chronic progressive glomerular disease in rodents.In our studies,we evahuated renal changes in a rat model after Adriamydin injection using two photon microscopy(TPM),optical coherence tomography(OCT)and Doppler OCT(DOCT).Taking advantage of deep penetra-tion and fast scanning speed for three dimensional(3D)label-free imaging,OCT/DOCT system was able to reveal glomerular and tubular pathology noninvasively and in real time.By imaging renal pathology following the infusion of fAuorophore-labeled dextrans of different molecular weights,TPM can provide direct views of glomerular and tubular flow dynamics with the onset and progression of renal disease.Specifically,glomerular permeability and filtration,proximal and distal tubular flow dynamics can be revealed.6-8 weeks after injection of Adriamycin,TPM and OCT/DOCT imaging revealed glomerular sclerosis,compromised flow across the glomerular wall,tubular atrophy,tubular dilation,and variable intra-tubular flow dynamics.Our results indicate that TPM and OCT/DOCT provide real-time imaging of renal pathology in vivo that has not been previously available using conventional microscopic procedures.Hengchang Guo Hsing-Wen Wang Qinggong Tang Erik Anderson Reuben Falola Tikina Smith Yi Liu Moshe Levi Peter M.Andrews Yu Chen 2018Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2018,,5:0
