1Effectiveness of Different Waist Circumference Cut-off Values in Predicting Metabolic Syndrome Prevalence and Risk Factors in Adults in China显示文摘Objective To study the effectiveness of waist circumference cut-off values in predicting the prevalence of metabolic syndrome(MetS) and risk factors in adults in China. Methods A cross-sectional survey was condcuted in 14 provinces(autonomous region, municipality) in China. A total of 47 325 adults aged ≥20 years were selected by multistage stratified sampling, and questionnaire survey and physical and clinical examination were conducted among them. MetS was defined according to the International Diabetes Federation(IDF) criteria and modified IDF criteria.Results The age-standardized prevalence of MetS was 24.2%(22.1% in men and 25.8% in women) and 19.5%(22.1% in men and 18.0% in women) according to the IDF criteria and modified IDF criteria respectively. The age-standardized prevalence of pre-MetS was 8.1%(8.6% in men and 7.8% in women) according to the modified IDF criteria. The prevalence of MetS was higher in urban residents than rural residents and in northern China residents than in southern China residents. The prevalence of central obesity was about 30% in both men and women according to the ethnicity-specific cut-off values of waist circumference for central obesity(90 cm for men and 85 cm for women). Multivariate regression analysis revealed no significant difference in risk factors between the two MetS definitions. 2A Novel Semiconductor CIGS Photovoltaic Material and Thin-Film ED Technology显示文摘In order to achieve low cost high efficiency thin film solar cells,a novel Semiconductor Photovoltaic (PV) active material CuIn 1-x Ga x Se 2 (CIGS) and thin film Electro Deposition (ED) technology is explored.Firstly,the PV materials and technologies is investigated,then the detailed experimental processes of CIGS/Mo/glass structure by using the novel ED technology and the results are reported.These results shows that high quality CIGS polycrystalline thin films can be obtained by the ED method,in which the polycrystalline CIGS is definitely identified by the (112),(204,220) characteristic peaks of the tetragonal structure,the continuous CIGS thin film layers with particle average size of about 2μm of length and around 1 6μm of thickness.The thickness and solar grade quality of CIGS thin films can be produced with good repeatability.Discussion and analysis on the ED technique,CIGS energy band and sodium (Na) impurity properties,were also performed.The alloy CIGS exhibits not only increasing band gap with increasing x ,but also a change in material properties that is relevant to the device operation.The beneficial impurity Na originating from the low cost soda lime glass substrate becomes one prerequisite for high quality CIGS films.These novel material and technology are very useful for low cost high efficiency thin film solar cells and other devices.ZHENG Guang fu 1,YANG Hong xing 1,MAN Cheuk ho 1,WONG Wing lok 2, AN Da wei 1 and John BURNETT 1(1 Centre for Development of Solar Energy Technology,Department of Building Services Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University,Hong Kong,C 2001Journal of Semiconductors2001,22,11:10

11The genesis and resource potential of gold deposits in the Liaodong Peninsula显示文摘Plenty of gold deposits related to Late Mesozoic craton destruction are widely distributed in eastern North China Craton. However, significant differences in research degrees, ore-forming characteristics, and proven reserves exist among different regions in the North China Craton. The Liaodong Peninsula has similar regional geological characteristics to those of the Jiaodong Peninsula, with both experiencing craton destruction during Late Mesozoic, but the two areas have substantial differences in terms of gold mineralization and the proven gold resources. Based on regional geology, Mesozoic magmatictectonic evolution and ore geology, combined with integrated geophysical exploration and big data AI resource prediction, in this paper, we propose that the ore-forming materials of Late Mesozoic gold deposits in Liaodong were mainly originated from mantle-derived melts and/or fluids induced by craton destruction. The gold deposits were primarily controlled by NE-NNEtrending faults, mainly classified as fracture-controlled altered rock-type and sulfide-bearing quartz vein-type. Moreover, our study predicts that the Yalu River fault zone and its related secondary faults, as well as the periphery and deeper parts of known goldfields, are the important regions for future gold resource exploration. 12Mucosal immune responses and protective efficacy in yellow catfish after immersion vaccination with bivalent inactivated Aeromonas veronii and Edwardsiella ictaluri vaccine显示文摘Mucosal vaccination,which has the potential to induce both mucosal and systemic immune responses,is considered the most suitable method of preventing infectious diseases in farmed fish.Aeromonas veronii and Edwardsiella ictaluri are two pathogenic bacteria found in yellow catfish and often infect the fish through mucosal surfaces.Delivery of a bivalent inactivated vaccine by injection has been shown to induce a strong systemic immune response against both bacterial infections.However,mucosal immune responses and protective efficiency induced by this inactivated vaccine administrated via immersion are yet to be investigated.We developed a bivalent vaccine containing formalin-inactivated A.veronii and E.ictaluri and evaluated the immune response in yellow catfish after immersion vaccination using body fluids biochemistry indices,agglutinating antibody titers,and the expression level of immune-related genes in the skin,gills,spleen,and head kidney.The activities of innate immune-related enzymes and specific agglutination antibody titers in body fluids,as well as the expression of innate and adaptive immune-related genes in both the mucosal and systemic tissues of vaccinated fish,were significantly higher than that in control fish.Next,we assessed the protective efficacy by a challenge model of virulent strains of E.ictaluri and A.veronii.The relative survival percent of vaccinated fish was 80%and 87%after challenging fish with E.ictaluri and A.veronii,respectively,which was higher than unvaccinated control fish(43%and 57%).These results confirm that the bivalent inactivated vaccine administered via immersion induces a strong mucosal immune response and confers good protection against both E.ictaluri and A.veronii.Our results also reinforce the notion that immersion vaccination could stimulate both mucosal and systemic immunity contributing to protection against pathogens.Wei Guang Kong Da Cheng Qin Qing Jiang Mu Zhao Ran Dong Yang Zhi Luo Tao Shan Ai Zhen Xu 2022Water Biology and Security2022,1,2:0
