1Heavy metal accumulation by panicled goldenrain tree(Koelreuteria paniculata) and common elaeocarpus(Elaeocarpus decipens) in abandoned mine soils in southern China显示文摘Phytoremediation can be used as a sustainable technology for mine spoil remediation to remove heavy metals.This study investigated the concentration of 7 heavy metal contamination in soil and plant samples at an abandoned mine site.We found that,after vegetation remediation at the abandoned mine site,the reduction rates for 7 heavy metals were in the range of 4.2%-86%,where reduction rates over 50% were achieved for four heavy metals(Zn,Mn,Cd,Ni).Transfer coeffcients of the panicled goldenrain tree(Koelreuteria paniculata Laxm) and the common elaeocarpus(Elaeocarpus decipens) for Zn,Mn,Ni,and Co were more than 1.Enrichment coeffcients of both trees for Mn were higher than 1.Our results suggest that the panicled goldenrain tree and the common elaeocarpus tree may act as accumulators in remediation.Moreover,the woody vegetation remediation in abandoned mining areas play an important role in improving scenery besides removing heavy metal from contaminated soil.TIAN Dalun ZHU Fan YAN Wende Fang Xi XIANG Wenhua DENG Xiangwen WANG Guangjun PENG Changhui 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3:11
2Impacts of changed litter inputs on soil CO_2 efflux in three forest types in central south China显示文摘Climate change is expected to cause the alteration of litter production in forests,which may result in substantial changes in soil CO2 efflux (FCO2) process as litter represents a major pathway of carbon from vegetation to the soils.In this study,we conducted an aboveground litter manipulation experiment to examine the influence of litter addition and exclusion on soil FCO2 in Camphor tree,Masson pine,and mixed Camphor tree and Masson pine forests in central south China.Litter input manipulation included three treatments:non-litter input (litter exclusion),double litter input (litter addition),and natural litter input (control).On average,litter exclusion significantly reduced soil FCO2 rate by approximately 39%,24% and 22% in Camphor tree forests,the Mixed forests,and Masson pine forests,respectively.On a yearly basis,double litter addition significantly increased soil CO2 by 12% in the Mixed forests (P=0.02) but not in both Camphor tree and Masson pine forests (P>0.05),when compared with their corresponding control treatments.However,litter addition increased soil FCO2 rates in the months of June-August in Camphor tree and Masson pine forests,coinciding with high soil temperature of summer conditions.Litter exclusion reduced soil FCO2 more than litter addition increased it in the study sites.Responses of soil respiration to litter input treatments varied with forest types.Litter input treatments did not alter the seasonal patterns of soil temperature and soil water content.Our results indicated that changes in aboveground litter as a result of global climate change and/or forest management have a great potential to alter soil respiration and soil carbon balance in forest ecosystems.YAN WenDe CHEN XiaoYong TIAN DaLun PENG YuanYing WANG GuangJun ZHENG Wei 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,3:11

4The recent progress of wide bandgap donor polymers towards non-fullerene organic solar cells显示文摘This review summarized the recent progress of highly efficient wide bandgap(WBG) donor polymers and their applications in non-fullerene polymer solar cells(NF-PSCs). A brief introduction of the background of WBG donor polymer developments was given. Then the research progress of the reported WBG donor polymers by classification of D-type and DààA type molecular backbones was reviewed. The resulting structure-property correlations of the WBG donor polymers were also discussed to highlight the importance of chemical modifications, which have promoted the great progress of NF-PSC field. 5Sensitivity of Fusarium graminearum to Carbendazim and Prochloraz显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to understand the resistance of Fusarium graminearum to carbendazim and prochloraz in the main wheat producing areas in Hubei Province.[Method] Totally 350 F. graminearum strains isolated in 2014 were determined to clear their sensitivity to carbendazim and prochloraz. [Result]All isolates were sensitive to carbendazim and prochloraz in Hubei Province,and carbendazim was still valuable in controlling Fusarium head blight. 6Soil respiration dynamics in Cinnamomum camphora forest and a nearby Liquidambar formosana forest in Subtropical China显示文摘Climate change can significantly affect carbon cycling of forest ecosystems.The diurnal and seasonal dynamics of soil respiration (Rs) in Cinnamomum camphora and Liquidambar formosana forests were investigated by using infrared gas exchange analyzer of Li-Cor 6400-09 each month in 2006.Soil temperature and moisture were also measured.Diurnal variations in Rs varied with daily soil temperature in the two forests.Across the growing season,soil respiration peaked on July 28 due to higher soil temperature and moisture conditions.Seasonal Rs variations were predominantly influenced by soil temperature.Seasonal soil respirations in C.camphora and L.formosana forests were strongly related to soil temperature (x) at 5-cm depth (Rs=0.1598e 0.1377x (R 2=0.9289,P=0.001) and Rs=0.2177e 0.0962x (R 2=0.927,P=0.000)),while annual mean Rs rate was 2.614 and 1.397 μmol m-2 s-1 and Q 10 values were 3.96 and 2.62 for the two forests,respectively.However,Rs was not influenced by seasonal changes in soil moisture (w) in the two forests in 2006.We developed two equations (Rs=-0.020w 2 +0.497w+0.562 (R 2=0.109,P>0.05),Rs=-0.001w 2 +0.072w +0.731(R 2=0.053,P>0.05)) to describe the relationship between Rs and soil moisture.A positive relationship between Rs and soil moisture were observed when soil moisture was below 12.43% and 18.00%,but when soil moisture exceeded threshold values of 12.43% and 18.00%,soil moisture became the restraint factor for Rs.Long-term observations of soil respiration and moisture are required to understand the temporal dynamics of soil respiration.TIAN DaLun WANG GuangJun YAN WenDe XIANG WenHua PENG ChangHui 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,8:2
7Molecularly engineered tumor acidity-responsive plant toxin gelonin for safe and efficient cancer therapy显示文摘Due to the unsatisfactory therapeutic efficacy and inexorable side effects of small molecule antineoplastic agents,extensive efforts have been devoted to the development of more potent macromolecular agents with highspecificity.Gelonin is a plant-derived protein toxin that exhibits robust antitumor effect via inactivating ribosomesand inhibiting protein synthesis.Nonetheless,its poor internalization ability to tumor cells has compromisedthe therapeutic promise of gelonin.In this study,a tumor acidity-responsive intracellular protein deliverysystem-functional gelonin(Trx-pHLIP-Gelonin,TpG)composed of a thioredoxin(Trx)tag,a pH low insertionpeptide(pHLIP)and gelonin,was designed and obtained by genetic recombination technique for the first time.TpG could effectively enter into tumor cells under weakly acidic conditions and markedly suppress tumor cellproliferation via triggering cell apoptosis and inhibiting protein synthesis.Most importantly,treatment byintravenous injection into subcutaneous SKOV3 solid tumors in a mouse model showed that TpG was much moreeffective than gelonin in curtailing tumor growth rates with negligible toxicity.Collectively,our present worksuggests that the tumor acidity-targeted delivery manner endowed by pHLIP offers a new avenue for efficientdelivery of other bioactive substances to acidic diseased tissues.Guo-Bin Ding Chenchen Zhu Qian Wang Huiyan Cao Bin-Chun Li Peng Yang Roland H.Stauber Guangjun Nie Zhuoyu Li 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,12:1
8Characterization of Natural Killer Cells in the Liver of Young Mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE To determine the quantity and quality of liver NK cells from young and adult mice and compare their characteristics. METHODS C57BL/6 mice were used at 2 weeks (young) and 8 weeks (adult) of age. The percentage and absolute number of NK cells in the liver and spleen were analyzed. The cytotoxicity of NK cells in the liver and spleen against various targets were detected by a 4 h 51Cr-release method. FACScan was used to analyze the expression of CD69, Mac-1, Ly49C/I and CD94 on the NK cells. Perforin mRNA levels were analyzed by the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESUTLS The percentages of NK cells in the liver of young and adult mice were similar (11.9%±1.7% vs. 9.9%±1.6%, P>0.05), but the absolute number per liver weight was higher in the young animals (11.6±2.5x105/g vs. 3.4±0.8x105/g, P<0.05). The level of NK cytotoxicity was extremely high in the liver of young compared to adult mice (71.0%±5.5% vs. 23.8%±4.4%, P<0.05), but this difference was not observed in the spleen. Phenotypes of the liver NK cells from young and adult mice were completely different from each other. The liver NK cells from young mice were CD69high Mac-1lowLy49C/ Ilow, whereas NK cells from older mice displayed inverse antigen levels (CD-69low Mac-1high Ly49C/Ihigh). The expression levels of other NK cell-related markers were similar in both groups.The perforin mRNA level in the liver lymphocytes from young mice was consistently greater compared to adult mice. CONCLUSION From 2 to 8 weeks C57BL/6 mice liver NK cells undergo age-associated changes. 9Body-Fitted Momentum Source Method for Predicting Rotor Aerodynamics Characteristics in Hover显示文摘To gain high efficiency for the simulation of the aerodynamic characteristics of the rotor in hover,body?fitted momentum source(BFMS)method is proposed.In this method,the actual blade geometry is represented by the single layer of volume grid surrounding the blade.Aiming at correctly simulating the aerodynamic characteristics of the discrete cells along the chordwise of blade airfoil section,a new distributed force model is proposed.For comparison,the RANS method with S?A turbulence model and the steady rotor momentum source(SRMS)method based on embedded grid systems are established,respectively.And the grid connecting methodology is improved to embed the blade into the background grids for the three methods.Then,simulations are performed for the hovering Caradonna?Tung rotor by these methods,and the calculated results are compared with the available experimental data.Moreover,the pressure distributions along the blade are compared with the conventional momentum source methods.It is demonstrated that the BFMS method can be employed as an effective approach to predict rotor aerodynamic characteristics with a low computational resource and reasonable accuracy.LI Peng KONG Xiaojun YIN Hang ZHANG Guangjun 2019Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2019,36,4:0

11Enhancement the photovoltaic performance of conjugated polymer based on simple head-to-head alkylthio side chains engineered bithiophene显示文摘In this article,three novel and simple molecular structure with donor-acceptor(D-A) type copolymers via only head-to-head alkoxy(OR) and/or alkylthio(SR) side chains onto the bithiophene(BT) as donor units and fluorinated benzotriazole(FBTA) as acceptor unit,namely,PBTOR-FBTA,PBTOSR-FBTA and PBTSRFBTA,were successfully designed and synthesized.The impacts of sulfur-oxygen(S…O) or sulfur-sulfur(S-S) noncovalent interactions on their physicochemical properties,molecular stacking,carrier mobility,morphologies of blend films,as well as their photovoltaic performance were deeply and systematically studied.The introduction of SR side-chains suddenly lowered the highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO) energy levels,blue-shifted absorption,enhanced π-π stacking,as well as improved morphology of the photoactive layer blends in comparison with the re ference polymer without SR side-chain.Polymer solar cells(PSCs) were fabricated to estimate their photovoltaic performance of the polymers.Under an optimized blend ratio of PBTSR-FBTA:PC71BM(1:0.8,w/w),the PBTSR-FBTAbased device exhibits a higher power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 6.25%,which is about 3.34 and 1.87 folds than that of the PBTOR-FBTA and PBTOSR-FBTA-based devices,respectively.Our research results demonstrate that the modification of the simple and low-cost SR side chains is an effective strategy to improve the photovoltaic performance of the polymers.Zuoji Liu Chengjia Bao Guangjun Zhang Kai Zhang Gangtie Lei Qiang Zhang Qiang Peng Yu Liu 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,9:0

13Observation on the Clinical Effect of Different Pressures in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy on Patients with Diffuse Axonal Injury显示文摘Objective:To observe the efficacy and significance of hyperbaric oxygen at different pressures in the treatment of diffuse axonal injury(DAI).Methods:Sixty patients with DAI were randomly divided into 1.8 ATA group(30 cases)and 2.2 ATA group(30 cases).The routine treatment for each group was the same.The 1.8 ATA.group received hyperbaric oxygen therapy under 1.8 ATA on the basis of routine treatment,whereas the 2.2 ATA group received hyperbaric oxygen therapy under 2.2 ATA.on the basis of routine treatment.The therapy was given once a day over 3 consecutive courses,with each course having 10 sessions.The Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)on day 10,day 20,and day 30 after treatment,as well as the Glasgow Outcome Scale(GOS)after 6 months were compared between the two groups.Results:The mean GCS on day 10,day 20,and day 30 after treatment,as well as the mean GOS after 6 months of treatment in the 2.2 ATA group were significantly higher than those in the 1.8 ATA group(p<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with dififtise axonal injury,hyperbaric oxygen therapy is more effective with 2.2 ATA.compared with 1.8 ATA.Xinli Feng Jie Yang Jun Wang Shuang Dong Yamei Wang Dahui Zhang Guangjun Peng Jinhua Luo 2022Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2022,6,3:0
14Effects of Microbial Fertilizers in Improving Acidic Tobacco-planting Soil and Tobacco Leaf Quality显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to improve acidic soil and enhance the quality of tobacco leaves.[Methods]The effects of different microbial fertilizers on improving acidic tobacco-planting soil and tobacco leaf quality were investigated through plot experiments.[Results]The application of microbial fertilizers could improve the pH value of acidic soil,and composite microbial agent A showed the best application effect.The application of bio-organic fertilizer was beneficial to improving the contents of available phosphorus and available boron in acidic soil.The application of composite microbial agent A was beneficial to improving the contents of available phosphorus and available potassium in acidic soil,and could promote the growth of tobacco plants and improve the economic traits of flue-cured tobacco and the coordination of chemical components in tobacco leaves.The application of composite microbial agent B led to a downward trend in the content of available boron in acidic soil.The application of composite microbial agent B could promote the absorption of nutrients by tobacco plants,and improve their disease resistance and the quality of tobacco leaves.Due to the differences in functional microorganisms contained,the application effects of different microbial fertilizers in improving acidic tobacco-planting soil and improving tobacco leaf quality varied.Overall,the application of microbial fertilizers could increase soil pH,activate soil nutrients,promote tobacco growth,enhance disease resistance,increase tobacco output value,and improve tobacco quality.Microbial fertilizers have good application prospects in improving acidic soil and improving tobacco quality.[Conclusions]The application of microbial fertilizers to improve acidic tobacco-planting soil can ensure the normal growth and development of tobacco plants and the improvement of tobacco leaf quality,achieving high-quality and sustainable development of Zhaotong tobacco.Xia NI Shungang SHEN Xianyi ZENG Dewen LI Yeming FU Min CHEN Chaokai YU Libing QI Ying-guo RUAN Changchong ZI Haohan GONG Guangjun HU Mengsheng ZHANG Xu ZHANG Shu PENG Hongbing LI 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,2:0
15Clinical Efficacy of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Different Pressures in the Treatment of Sudden Deafness显示文摘Objective:To analyze the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen at different pressures in the treatment of sudden deafness.Methods:Eighty-two patients with sudden deafness treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University from September 2019 to September 2021 were selected as the research subjects.The patients were randomly divided into study group 1 and study group 2,and they were treated with hyperbaric oxygen on the basis of routine treatment,in which the pressure used was 1.8 ATA and 2.2 ATA,respectively.Oxygen was delivered via the pressure stabilizing mask for 60 minutes.The patients received two courses of treatment,each lasting 10 days.The changes in hearing(pure tone audiometry)and the clinical efficacy of both the groups were compared before and after treatment.The data obtained were statistically analyzed using SPSS 19.0.Results:The total effective rate of study group 1 was 90.00%,while that of study group 2 was 76.19%.The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with sudden deafness treated with hyperbaric oxygen,the clinical efficacy of 1.8 ATA is more significant than that of 2.2 ATA.Xinli Feng Shuang Dong Jun Wang Jie Yang Yamei Wang Dahui Zhang Guangjun Peng Jinhua Luo 2022Proceedings of Anticancer Research2022,6,2:0
