1Late Triassic sedimentary records in the northern Tethyan Himalaya:Tectonic link with Greater India显示文摘The Upper Triassic flysch sediments(Nieru Formation and Langjiexue Group)exposed in the Eastern Tethyan Himalayan Sequence are crucial for unraveling the controversial paleogeography and paleotectonics of the Himalayan orogen.This work reports new detrital zircon U-Pb ages and whole-rock geochemical data for clastic rocks from flysch strata in the Shannan area.The mineral modal composition data suggest that these units were mainly sourced from recycled orogen provenances.The chemical compositions of the sandstones in the strata are similar to the chemical composition of upper continental crust.These rocks have relatively low Chemical Index of Alteration values(with an average of 62)and Index of Compositional Variability values(0.69),indicating that they experienced weak weathering and were mainly derived from a mature source.The geochemical compositions of the Upper Triassic strata are similar to those of graywackes from continental island arcs and are indicative of an acidicintermediate igneous source.Furthermore,hornblende and feldspar experienced decomposition in the provenance,and the sediment became enriched in zircon and monazite during sediment transport.The detrital zircons in the strata feature two main age peaks at 225-275 Ma and 500-600 Ma,nearly continuous Paleoproterozoic to Neoproterozoic ages,and a broad inconspicuous cluster in the Tonian-Stenian(800-1200 Ma).The detrital zircons from the Upper Triassic sandstones in the study area lack peaks at 300-325 Ma(characteristic of the Lhasa block)and 1150-1200 Ma(characteristic of the Lhasa and West Australia blocks).Therefore,neither the Lhasa block nor the West Australia blocks likely acted as the main provenance of the Upper Triassic strata.Newly discovered Permian-Triassic basalt and mafic dikes in the Himalayas could have provided the 225-275 Ma detrital zircons.Therefore,Indian and Himalayan units were the main provenances of the flysch strata.The Tethyan Himalaya was part of the northern passive margin and was not an exotic terrane separated from India during the Permian to Early Cretaceous.This evidence suggests that the Neo-Tethyan ocean opened prior to the Late Triassic and that the Upper Triassic deposits were derived from continental crustal fragments adjacent to the northern passive continental margin of Greater India.Huawen Cao Yong Huang Guangming Li Linkui Zhang Jianyang Wu Lei Dong Zuowen Dai Liu Lu 2018Geoscience Frontiers2018,9,1:27
2pORF5 plasmid protein of Chlamydia trachomatis induces MAPK-mediated pro-inflammatory cytokines via TLR2 activation in THP-1 cells显示文摘Infection with Chlamydia trachomatis induces inflammatory pathologies in the urogenital tract that can lead to infertility and ectopic pregnancy.Pathogenesis of infection has been mostly attributed to excessive cytokine production.However,precise mechanisms on how C.trachomatis triggers this production,and which protein(s) stimulate inflammatory cytokines remains unknown.In the present study,the C.trachomatis pORF5 protein induced tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β) and interleukin-8(IL-8) in dose-and time-dependent manners in the THP-1 human monocyte cell line.We found that intracellular p38/mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)/MAPK signaling pathways were required for the induction of TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-8.Blockade of toll-like receptor 2(TLR2) signaling reduced induction levels of TNF-α,IL-8 and IL-1β.We concluded that the C.trachomatis pORF5 protein might contribute to the inflammatory processes associated with chlamydial infections.ZHOU Hui HUANG QiuLin LI ZhongYu WU YiMou XIE XiaoBing MA KangKang CAO WenJuan ZHOU Zhou LU ChunXue ZHONG GuangMing 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,5:26
3Petrogenesis of Late Cretaceous Jiangla'angzong I-Type Granite in Central Lhasa Terrane, Tibet, China: Constraints from Whole-Rock Geochemistry, Zircon U-Pb Geochronology, and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf Isotopes显示文摘The Jiangla'angzong granite in the northern part of the Central Lhasa Terrane is composed of syenogranite and adamellite. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb analyses suggest that syenogranite has a weighted mean ^(206) Pb/^(238) U age of 86±1 Ma(mean square weighted deviation=0.37), which is in accordance with the muscovite Ar-Ar age(85±1 Ma) of Cu-Au ore-bearing skarns and the zircon U-Pb age(84±1 Ma) of adamellite. This suggests that the Jiangla'angzong magmatism and Cu–Au mineralization events took place during the Late Cretaceous. The granite contains hornblende, biotite, and pyroxene, and does not contain Al-bearing minerals, such as muscovite, cordierite, and garnet. It has high contents of SiO_2(65.10–70.91 wt%), K_2O(3.44–5.17 wt%), and total K_2O+Na_2O(7.13–8.15 wt%), and moderate contents of A_(12)O_3(14.14–16.45 wt%) and CaO(2.33–4.11 wt%), with a Reitman index(σ43) of 2.18 to 2.33, and A/CNK values of 0.88 to 1.02. The P_2O_5 contents show a negative correlation with SiO_2, whereas Pb contents show a positive correlation with SiO_2. Th and Y contents are relatively low and show a negative correlation with the Rb contents. These characteristics suggest that the Jiangla'angzong granite is a high K calc–alkaline metaluminous I–type granite. It is enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE) and large ion lithofile elements(LILE), and depleted in heavy rare earth elements(HREE) and high field strength elements(HFSE), with LREE/HREE ratios of 11.7 to 18.1. The granite has negative Eu anomalies of 0.58 to 0.94 without obvious Ce anomalies(δCe=1.00–1.04). The relatively low initial 87 Sr/86 Sr ratios of 0.7106 to 0.7179, positive εHf(t) values of 1.0 to 4.1, and two-stage Hf model ages(TDM2) ranging from 889 Ma to 1082 Ma, These geochemical features indicate that the granite derived from a juvenile crust. The(^(143) Nd/^(144) Nd)_t values from the Jiangla'angzong granite range from 0.5121 to 0.5123, its εNd(t) values range from-10.17 to-6.10, its(^(206) Pb/^(204) Pb)_t values range from 18.683 to 18.746, its(^(207) Pb/^(204) Pb)_t values range from 15.695 to 15.700, and its(^(208) Pb/^(204) Pb)_t values range from 39.012 to 39.071. These data indicate that the granite was formed by melting of the upper crust with the addition of some mantle materials. 4Origin of the Newly Discovered Zhunuo Porphyry Cu-Mo-Au Deposit in the Western Part of the Gangdese Porphyry Copper Belt in the Southern Tibetan Plateau,SW China显示文摘The newly discovered Zhunuo porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit is located in the western part of the Gangdese porphyry copper belt in southern Tibet, SW China. The granitoid plutons in the Zhunuo region are composed of quartz diorite porphyry, diorite porphyry, granodiorite porphyry, biotite monzogranite and quartz porphyry. The quartz diorite porphyry yielded zircon U-Pb ages of 51.9±0.7 Ma(Eocene) using LA-ICP-MS, whereas the diorite porphyry, granodiorite porphyry, biotite monzogranite and quartz porphyry yielded ages ranging from 16.2±0.2 to 14.0±0.2 Ma(Miocene). CuMo-Au mineralization is mainly hosted in the Miocene granodiorite porphyry. Samples from all granitoid plutons have geochemical compositions consistent with high-K calc-alkaline series magmatism. The samples display highly fractionated light rare-earth element(REE) distributions and heavy REE distributions with weakly negative Eu anomalies on chondrite-normalized REE patterns. The trace element distributions exhibit positive anomalies for large-ion lithophile elements(Rb, K, U, Th and Pb) and negative anomalies for high-field-strength elements(Nb and Ti) relative to primitive mantlenormalized values. The Eocene quartz diorite porphyry yielded εNd(t) values ranging from-3.6 to-5.2,(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i values in the range 0.7046–0.7063 and initial radiogenic Pb isotopic compositions with ranges of 18.599–18.657 ^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb, 15.642–15.673 ^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb and 38.956–39.199 ^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb. In contrast, the Miocene granitoid plutons yielded ε_(Nd)(t) values ranging from-6.1 to-7.3 and(87Sr/86Sr)i values in the range 0.7071–0.7078 with similar Pb isotopic compositions to the Eocene quart diorite. The Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic compositions of the rocks are consistent with formation from magma containing a component of remelted ancient crust. Zircon grains from the Eocene quartz diorite have ε_(Hf)(t) values ranging from-5.2 to +0.9 and two-stage Hf model ages ranging from 1.07 to 1.46 Ga, while zircon grains from the Miocene granitoid plutons have ε_(Hf)(t) values from-9.9 to +4.2 and two-stage Hf model ages ranging from 1.05–1.73 Ga, indicating that the ancient crustal component likely derives from Paleo- to Mesoproterozoic basement. This source is distinct from that of most porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposits in the eastern part of the Gangdese porphyry copper belt, which likely originated from juvenile crust. 5A restoration-promoting integrated floating bed and its experimental performance in eutrophication remediation显示文摘Numerous studies on eutrophication remediation have mainly focused on purifying water first, then restoring submerged macrophytes. A restoration-promoting integrated floating bed(RPIFB) was designed to combine the processes of water purification and macrophyte restoration simultaneously. Two outdoor experiments were conducted to evaluate the ecological functions of the RPIFB. Trial 1 was conducted to compare the eutrophication purification among floating bed, gradual-submerging bed(GSB) and RPIFB technologies. The results illustrated that RPIFB has the best purification capacity. Removal efficiencies of RPIFB for TN, TP, NH+ 4-N, NO-3-N, CODCr, Chlorophyll-a and turbidity were 74.45%, 98.31%, 74.71%, 88.81%, 71.42%, 90.17% and 85%, respectively. In trial 2, influences of depth of GSB and photic area in RPIFB on biota were investigated. When the depth of GSB decreased and the photic area of RPIFB grew, the height of Potamogeton crispus Linn. increased, but the biomass of Canna indica Linn. was reduced. The mortalities of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus and Bellamya aeruginosa in each group were all less than 7%. All results indicated that when the RPIFB was embedded into the eutrophic water, the regime shift from phytoplankton-dominated to macrophyte-dominated state could be promoted. 6Feasibility of bioleaching combined with Fenton oxidation to improve sewage sludge dewaterability显示文摘A novel joint method of bioleaching with Fenton oxidation was applied to condition sewage sludge. The specific resistance to filtration(SRF) and moisture of sludge cake(MSC) were adopted to evaluate the improvement of sludge dewaterability. After 2-day bioleaching, the sludge p H dropped to about 2.5 which satisfied the acidic condition for Fenton oxidation.Meanwhile, the SRF declined from 6.45 × 1010 to 2.07 × 1010s2/g, and MSC decreased from91.42% to 87.66%. The bioleached sludge was further conditioned with Fenton oxidation. From an economical point of view, the optimal dosages of H2O2 and Fe2+were 0.12 and 0.036 mol/L,respectively, and the optimal reaction time was 60 min. Under optimal conditions, SRF,volatile solids reduction, and MSC were 3.43 × 108s2/g, 36.93%, and 79.58%, respectively. The stability and settleability of sewage sludge were both improved significantly. Besides,the results indicated that bioleaching-Fenton oxidation was more efficient in dewatering the sewage sludge than traditional Fenton oxidation. 7A New Critical Nitrogen Dilution Curve for Rice Nitrogen Status Diagnosis in Northeast China显示文摘In-season diagnosis of crop nitrogen(N) status is crucial for precision N management. Critical N(N_c) dilution curve and N nutrition index(NNI) have been proposed as effective methods to diagnose N status of different crops. The N_c dilution curves have been developed for indica rice in the tropical and temperate zones and japonica rice in the subtropical-temperate zone, but they have not been evaluated for short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the previously developed N_c dilution curves for rice in Northeast China and to develop a more suitable N_c dilution curve in this region. A total of17 N rate experiments were conducted in Sanjiang Plain, Heilongjiang Province in Northeast China from 2008 to 2013. The results indicated that none of the two previously developed N_c dilution curves was suitable to diagnose N status of the short-season japonica rice in Northeast China. A new N_c dilution curve was developed and can be described by the equation N_c = 27.7 W^(-0.34) if W ≥ 1 Mg dry matter(DM) ha^(-1) or N_c = 27.7 g kg^(-1) DM if W < 1 Mg DM ha^(-1), where W is the aboveground biomass. This new curve was lower than the previous curves. It was validated using a separate dataset, and it could discriminate non-N-limiting and N-limiting nutritional conditions. 8Potential Benefits of Biochar in Agricultural Soils:A Review显示文摘Soil degradation,characterized by declines in nutrient status and simultaneous accumulation of pesticide residues,is a major problem affecting agricultural ecosystems.Previous studies indicate that biochar application to soil has promise as a practical method to alleviate these pressures:increasing crop yield and enhancing pesticide degradation.Here,we review the roles of biochar in both chemical and biological promotion of pesticide degradation and the potential benefits of biochar relating to the efficiency of fertilizer use,availability of nutrients,and nutrient exchange.Biochar typically has a high surface area featuring many functional groups,a high cation exchange capacity,and high stability.Major factors that impact on the nutrient retention characteristics of biochar(e.g.,feedstock,pyrolysis temperature,and application rate) are also discussed herein.Nonetheless,more studies of the long-term impacts on soil properties from biochar addition are still required before it can be possible to accurately quantify the sustainability of this approach to sequester carbon and restore soil function.DING Yang LIU Yunguo LIU Shaobo HUANG Xixian LI Zhongwu TAN Xiaofei ZENG Guangming ZHOU Lu 2017Pedosphere2017,27,4:10

11Localization and characterization of the hypothetical protein CT440 in Chlamydia trachomatis-infected cells显示文摘The inclusion membrane proteins play potentially important roles in chlamydial biology and pathogenesis.Here we localized and characterized the hypothetical protein CT440 in Chlamydia trachomatis-infected cells.The open reading frame(ORF) encoding the CT440 protein from the C.trachomatis serovar D genome was cloned into the prokaryotic expression vector pGEX-6p and expressed as a glutathione-S-transferase(GST) fusion protein in E.coli XL1-Blue.The CT440 fusion protein was used to immunize mice to raise antigen-specific antibody.After verification by Western blot and immunofluorescence assay(IFA),the specific antibody was used to localize the endogenous CT440 protein and to detect its expression pattern in Chlamydia-infected cells.Cytosolic expression of CT440 in HeLa cells was also carried out to evaluate the effect of the CT440 protein on the subsequent chlamydial infection.The results showed that the hypothetical protein CT440 was localized in the C.trachomatis inclusion membrane,and was detectable 12 h after chlamydial infection.Expression of CT440 in the cytoplasm did not inhibit the subsequent chlamydial infection.In summary,we have identified a new inclusion membrane protein that may be an important candidate for understanding C.trachomatis pathogenesis.LI ZhongYu HUANG QiuLin SU ShengMei ZHOU Zhou CHEN ChaoQun ZHONG GuangMing WU YiMou 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,11:5

13SUPPLY CHAIN DECISION-MAKING AND COORDINATION UNDER PRICE-DEPENDENT DEMAND显示文摘This paper studies the decision-making and coordination of supply chain (SC) considering the effect of price-dependent demand. By assuming demand decreases as the price increases, we analyse the impacts of the dependence on the SC in three different models: decentralized without coordination, centralized coordination and decentralized with coordination by revenue sharing contract. The existence of the best solution in the different models is proved, and the performance of revenue sharing coordination SC is similar to the centralized one. We find that the more evidently the price affects the demand, the more revenue sharing contract improves the performance of SC. 15Osteogenic and antibacterial dual functions of a novel levofloxacin loaded mesoporous silica microspheres/nano-hydroxyapatite/ polyurethane composite scaffold显示文摘Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU has been proved to be a novel scaffold material to treat bone defect caused by chronic osteomyelitis.We have previously identified that this material can effectively treat chronic osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus in vivo.However,the potential mechanisms of antibacterial and osteogenic induction properties remain unclear.Thus,for osteogenesis property,immunohistochemistry,PCR,and Western blot were performed to detect the expression of osteogenic markers.Furthermore,flow cytometry and TUNEL were applied to analyze MC3T3-E1 proliferation and apoptosis.For antibacterial property,the material was co-cultivated with bacteria,bacterial colony forming units was counted and the release time of the effective levofloxacin was assayed by agar disc-diffusion test.Moreover,scanning electron microscope was applied to observe adhesion of bacteria.In terms of osteogenic induction,we found BMSCs adherently grew more prominently on Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU.Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU also enhanced the expression of osteogenic markers including OCN and COL1a1,as well as effectively promoted the transition from G1 phase to G2 phase.Furthermore,Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU could reduce apoptosis of MC3T3-E1.Besides,both Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU and n-HA/PU materials could inhibit bacterial colonies,while Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU possessed a stronger antibacterial activities,and lower bacterial adhesion than n-HA/PU.These results illustrated that Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess favorable compatibility in vitro,which induce osteogenic differentiation of MSCs,promote proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1,and inhibit apoptosis.Moreover,clear in vitro antibacterial effect of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU was also observed.In summary,this study replenishes the potential of Lev/MSNs/n-HA/PU composite scaffold possess dual functions of anti-infection and enhanced osteogenesis for future clinical application.Zhiping Kuang Guangming Dai Ruijie Wan Dongli Zhang Chen Zhao Cheng Chen Jidong Li Hongchen Gu Wei Huang 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,2:4

17Annular flexible thermoelectric devices with integrated-module architecture显示文摘Organic and composite thermoelectric(TE)materials have witnessed explosive developments in recent years.Design strategy of their flexible devices is vital to achieve high performance and suit various application environments.Here,we propose a design strategy of annular flexible TE devices with integrated-module architecture,where the independent modules made up of alternatively connected p-n couples are connected in series,and then rounded head-to-tail into annular configuration.The achieved devices can not only save plenty of space owing to their highly integrated structure design,but also be directly mounted on cylindrical objects(like pipes)to suit versatile applications.More importantly,the annular TE devices display excellent performances,superior to most previous work and the traditional serial single-layer film structure.For example,the annular device with eight modules consisting of three p-n couples reveals an output power of 12.37μW at a temperature gradient of 18 K,much higher than that of the corresponding single-layer film structure(1.74μW).The integration process is simple and easy to scale up.This architecture design strategy will greatly speed up the TE applications and benefit the research of organic and composite TE materials.Dawei Qu Xuan Huang Xin Li Hanfu Wang Guangming Chen 2020npj Flexible Electronics2020,4,1:3
18Optimal Operation of an Integrated Electricity-heat Energy System Considering Flexible Resources Dispatch for Renewable Integration显示文摘Large fluctuations may occur on the energy supply and the load sides when large-scale renewable energies are integrated,leading to great challenges in power systems.The renewable power curtailment is especially numerous in the integrated electricity-heat energy system(IEHES)on account of electricity-heat coupling.The flexible resources(FRs)on both the energy supply and load sides are introduced into the optimal dispatch of the IEHES and further modeled to alleviate the renewable fluctuations in this paper.On the energy supply side,three kinds of FRs based on electricity-heat coordination are modeled and discussed.On the load side,the shiftable electricity demand resource is characterized.On this basis,the solution for FRs participating in IEHES dispatch is given,with goals of maximizing the renewable penetration ratio and lowering operation costs.Two scenarios are performed,and the results indicate that the proposed optimal dispatch strategy can effectively reduce the renewable energy curtailment and improve the flexibility of the IEHES.The contribution degrees of different FRs for renewable integration are also explored.Wei Wang Shuhao Huang Guangming Zhang Jizhen Liu Zhe Chen 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,4:3
19Regulating Thermogalvanic Effect and Mechanical Robustness via Redox Ions for Flexible Quasi‑Solid‑State Thermocells显示文摘The design of power supply systems for wearable applications requires both flexibility and durability.Thermoelectrochemical cells(TECs)with large Seebeck coefficient can efficiently convert lowgrade heat into electricity,thus having attracted considerable attention in recent years.Utilizing hydrogel electrolyte essentially addresses the electrolyte leakage and complicated packaging issues existing in conventional liquid-based TECs,which well satisfies the need for flexibility.Whereas,the concern of mechanical robustness to ensure stable energy output remains yet to be addressed.Herein,a flexible quasisolid-state TEC is proposed based on the rational design of a hydrogel electrolyte,of which the thermogalvanic effect and mechanical robustness are simultaneously regulated via the multivalent ions of a redox couple.The introduced redox ions not only endow the hydrogel with excellent heat-to-electricity conversion capability,but also act as ionic crosslinks to afford a dual-crosslinked structure,resulting in reversible bonds for effective energy dissipation.The optimized TEC exhibits a high Seebeck coefficient of 1.43 mV K−1 and a significantly improved fracture toughness of 3555 J m^(−2),thereby can maintain a stable thermoelectrochemical performance against various harsh mechanical stimuli.This study reveals the high potential of the quasi-solid-state TEC as a flexible and durable energy supply system for wearable applications.Peng Peng Jiaqian Zhou Lirong Liang Xuan Huang Haicai Lv Zhuoxin Liu Guangming Chen 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,5:2
20Three-dimensional silk fibroin scaffolds enhance the bone formation and angiogenic differentiation of human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells:a biocompatibility analysis显示文摘Silk fibroin(SF)is a fibrous protein with unique mechanical properties,adjustable biodegradation,and the potential to drive differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)along the osteogenic lineage,making SF a promising scaffold material for bone tissue engineering.In this study,hAMSCs were isolated by enzyme digestion and identified by multiple-lineage differentiation.SF scaffold was fabricated by freeze-drying,and the adhesion and proliferation abilities of hAMSCs on scaffolds were determined.Osteoblast differentiation and angiogenesis of hAMSCs on scaffolds were further evaluated,and histological staining of calvarial defects was performed to examine the cocultured scaffolds.We found that hAMSCs expressed the basic surface markers of MSCs.Collagen type I(COLI)expression was observed on scaffolds cocultured with hAMSCs.The scaffolds potentiated the proliferation of hAMSCs and increased the expression of COL-I in hAMSCs.The scaffolds also enhanced the alkaline phosphatase activity and bone mineralization,and upregulated the expressions of osteogeniorelated factors in vitro.The scaffolds also enhanced the an gioge nic differe ntiati on of hAMSCs.The cocultured scaffolds in creased bone formati on in treating critical calvarial defects in mice.This study first demonstrated that the application of 3D SF scaffolds co-cultured with hAMSCs greatly enhaneed osteogenic differentiation and angiogenesis of hAMSCs in vitro and in vivo.Thus,3D SF scaffolds cocultured with hAMSCs may be a better alter native for bone tissue engin eering.Yuwan Li Ziming Liu Yaping Tang Qinghong Fan Wei Feng Changqi Luo Guangming Dai Zhen Ge Jun Zhang Gang Zou Yi Liu Ning Hu Wei Huang 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,6:2
