3CFD-DEM simulation of the pneumatic conveying of fine particles through a horizontal slit显示文摘Fine particles play a significant role in many industrial processes.To study the dynamic behavior of fine particle and their deposition in rock fractures,the pneumatic conveying of fine particles(approximately100 μm in diameter) through a small-scale horizontal slit(0.41 m × 0.025 m) was studied,which is useful for the sealing technology of underground gas drainage in coal mining production.The CFD-DEM method was adopted to model the gas-particle two-phase flow;the gas phase was treated as a continuum and modeled using computational fluid dynamics(CFD),particle motion and collisions were simulated using the DEM code.Then,the bulk movement of fine particles through a small-scale horizontal slit was explored numerically,and the flow patterns were further investigated by visual inspection.The simulation results indicated that stratified flow or dune flow can be observed at low gas velocities.For intermediate gas velocities,the flow patterns showed pulsation phenomena,and dune flow reappeared in the tail section.Moreover,periodic flow regimes with alternating thick and sparse stream structures were observed at a high gas velocity.The simulation results of the bulk movement of fine particles were in good agreement with the experimental findings,which were obtained by video-imaging experiments.Furthermore,the calculated pressure drop versus gas velocity profile was investigated and compared with relative experimental findings,and the results showed good agreement.Furthermore,the particle velocity vectors and voidage distribution were numerically simulated.Selected stimulation results are presented and provide a reference for the further study of fine particles.Fubao Zhou Shengyong Hu Yingke Liu Chun Liu Tongqiang Xia 2014Particuology2014,12,5:10
4A preliminary study of chronology for a newly-discovered ancient city and five archaeological sites in Lop Nor, China显示文摘In the past century, it has long been debated in the archeological, historical, geographical, and many other related communities where the capital of the Luolan and Shanshan states was in the Lop Nor region. This paper presents three AMS radiocarbon ages from a newly-discovered ancient city at about 6.3 km to the northwest of the Xiaohe Graveyard, and fifteen new radiocarbon ages from the Loulan (LA), LE, Qieerqiduke, Milan, and Tuyin sites in Lop Nor. The new investigation shows that the age of newly-discovered ancient city is at ca. 440–500 AD, belonging to the Northern Wei Dynasty (386–534 AD). This is about 100–300 years younger than Loulan (ca. 100–230 AD), LE (ca. 230–300 AD), Qieerqiduke (ca. 200 AD), and Tuyin (ca. 100 AD). A wooden beam from Milan fortress is dated to ca. 370 AD, while the age on north wall at west gate of the fortress is younger, around 770 AD, suggesting that its construction time might be at the Tang Dynasty. According to 14C ages, cultural relic style, and the geographical location, the newly-discovered ancient city is probably attributed to 'Zhubin City', as documented in the historical literature. Temporally, we name the city 'ancient Zhubin River City'. However, the characteristics and functions of this ancient city are largely unknown and need more detailed archaeological excavation and investigation in the future. Given its location near the ancient postal relay of Alagan on the crossroad, there is no doubt that the newly-discovered city was at an important geographical position on the Silk Road, no matter whether it was called 'Zhubin City', or 'Lielo City', or the capital of Loulan state–'Yuni City'. 6Rules of variation in hydrogen during reignition of underground fire zones of spontaneous coal combustion显示文摘In light of the possibility of reignition when unsealing the closed fire zones, the occurrence of reignition was simulated by a home-made experimental device, hydrogen variety rule from combustion to unsealing was analyzed, the three-stage generation model of hydrogen during reignition in fire zone was put forward and the probability that hydrogen was taken as an indicator gas was discussed. 8Temperature dependent spectral response characteristic of Ⅲ-Ⅴ compound tandem cell显示文摘The GaInP/GaAs/Ge triple-junction tandem cells with a conversion efficiency of 27.1% were fabricated using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) technique. Temperature dependence of the spectral response measurements of the GaInP/GaAs/Ge tandem cell was performed by a quantum effi- ciency system at temperatures ranging from 25℃ to 160℃. The red-shift phenomena of the absorption limit for all subcells were observed with increasing temperature, which is dued to the energy gap nar-rowing with temperature. The short-circuit current densities (Jsc) of GaInP, GaAs and Ge subcells at room temperature calculated based on the spectral response data were 12.9, 13.7 and 17 mA/cm2, re- spectively. 9Quantum efficiency and temperature coefficients of GaInP/GaAs dual-junction solar cell显示文摘GaInP/GaAs dual-junction solar cell with a conversion efficiency of 25.2% has been fabricated using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) technique.Quantum efficiencies of the solar cell were measured within a temperature range from 25 to 160 ℃.The results indicate that the quantum ef-ficiencies of the subcells increase slightly with the increasing temperature.And red-shift phenomena of absorption limit for all subcells are observed by increasing the cell's work temperature,which are consistent with the viewpoint of energy gap narrowing effect.The short-circuit current density tem-perature coefficients dJsc/dT of GaInP subcell and GaAs subcell are determined to be 8.9 and 7.4 μA/cm2/℃ from the quantum efficiency data,respectively.And the open-circuit cell voltage temperature coefficients dVoc/dT calculated based on a theoretical equation are-2.4 mV/℃ and-2.1 mV/℃ for GaInP subcell and GaAs subcell.LIU Lei CHEN NuoFu BAI YiMing CUI Ming ZHANG Han GAO FuBao YIN ZhiGang ZHANG XingWang 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:2
10Effect of Y_2O_3-MgO Addition on Heterogeneous Precipitation-Thermal Reduction Synthesis and Sintering of FeeMo/Si_3N_4 Powders显示文摘Effect of Y2O3e-MgO addition on heterogeneous precipitation-thermal reduction synthesis and the sintering of Fee Mo/Si3N4 powders has been investigated. It was found that the whiskers-like b-Si3N4, good wettability phases on Si3N4 surface, and high toughness Fe phase appeared in Fee Mo/Si3N4 cermets with Y2O3-MgO additives. The results show that Y2O3-MgO additives can effectively optimize the microstructures of Fee Mo/Si3N4 cermets, and improve the material mechanical properties.
