7Layer-by-layer enriching active Ni-N_(3)C sites in nickel-nitrogen-carbon electrocatalysts for enhanced CO_(2)-to-CO reduction显示文摘Transition metal and nitrogen co-doped carbons(M-N-C)have proven to be promising catalysts for CO_(2)electroreduction into co because of the high activity and selectivity.Effective enrichment of the active transition metal coordinated nitrogen sites is desirable but is challenging for a practical volumetric productivity.Herein,we report four kinds of model electrocatalysts to unveil this issue,which include the NC structures with surface N-functionalities,Ni-N-CI with one layer of surface Ni-NsC sites,NC@Ni-N-CI with surface N-functionalities and underneath Ni-N3C sites as well as Ni-N-C_II with doubled surface Ni-NsC sites.The X-ray absorption spectroscopy indicates the coordination configuration of Ni-NsC.For NC catalysts,when N-doping level increased from 3.5 at%to 8.4 at%,the CO partial current density increased from below 0.1 mA/cm^(2)to 3 mA/cm^(2).Introducing one layer of Ni-N_(3)C onto the NC structures leads to a 54 times higher CO partial current density than that of NC,in the meantime the FE_(CO) is 66 times higher.Furthermore,doubling the density of surface Ni-N_(3)C sites by a layer-by-layer method doubles the CO partial current density Gco,indicating its potential to achieve a high density of active coordinated sites and current densities.Yongqi Ren Ruopeng Chang Xu Hua Junjie Guo Guangping Hao Anhui Lu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,12:0
8Does Minimizing Ventricular Pacing Reduce the Incidence of Atrial Fibrillation ? A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials显示文摘Background:Right ventricular pacing disrupts atrioventricular synchrony and increases the risk of atrial fi brillation(AF).However,whether algorithms for minimizing ventricular pacing reduce the incidence of AF remains controversial.Therefore,we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the incidence of AF between minimizing ventricular pacing and conventional pacing protocols in patients with pacemakers implanted.Methods:The PubMed,Embase,and Cochrane Library databases were searched up to August 1,2017,for randomized controlled trials that reported the incidence of AF in patients with and without the use of algorithms for minimizing ventricular pacing.Results:Eleven studies comprising 5705 participants(61%males,mean age 71 years[standard deviation 11 years])were fi nally included in the analysis.The mean follow-up duration was 24 months.Use of algorithms for minimizing ventricular pacing signifi cantly reduced the incidence of AF,with an odds ratio of 0.74(95%confi dence interval 0.55–1.00;P<0.05).There was moderate heterogeneity among studies(I 2=63%).Conclusions:The incidence of AF was reduced by 26%with use of algorithms for minimizing ventricular pacing.The incorporation of such algorithms in routine clinical practice should in theory lead to a decrease in AF-related morbidity and mortality.Ishan Lakhani Mengqi Gong Cheuk Wai Wong George Bazoukis Konstantinos PLetsas Guangping Li Khalid bin Wahleed Yunlong Xia Adrian Baranchuk Gary Tse Keith Sai Kit Leung Tong Liu Dong Chang 2020Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2020,,3:0
9Cytokine levels and pathological characteristics of a patient with severe coronavirus disease 2019:a case report显示文摘To the Editor:The clinical spectrum of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)appears to be wide,ranging from asymptomatic to severe progressive pneumonia with respiratory failure,multiorgan failure,and even death.Here,we investigated the clinical and pathological characteristics of a patient who died from severe COVID-19.Our findings will facilitate a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis and progression of COVID-19 and improve clinical strategies to combat the disease.On January 23,2020,a 57-year-old man without relevant history presented with fatigue and fever after attending a family party 2 days prior.Among the members of the family party,one relative had traveled from Wuhan.Over 9 days,the fever and cough developed,and the patient visited the emergency department.A throat swab was positive for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-COV-2)on real-time reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction.He was admitted to the local hospital and received supportive therapies,anti-viral agents,atomized inhalation of interferon-γ,and oxygen therapy.Cough,fever,and dyspnea further developed on February 8.He received non-invasive mechanical ventilation therapy.On February 18,he was transferred to a superior hospital with shortness of breath.Kai Kang Yang Gao Mingyan Zhao Dongsheng Fei Ming Ye Yan Gao Wei Yang Changsong Wang Haitao Liu Guangping Chang Xianxin Kang Yunpeng Luo Xue Du Jiping Qi Lin Tian Min Zhou Chunfang Hao Kaijiang Yu 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,1:0
