1Magnetostratigraphy and paleoenvironmental record of Tertiary deposits of Lanzhou Basin显示文摘The Tertiary deposits of the Yongdeng section, the Lanzhou Basin were studied by means of magnetostrati-graphy. The magnetostratigraphic sequences from Paleocene to Miocene were established, and the time scale for the corresponding stratigraphy and mammalian faunas was also established by referring to their correlation to the GPTS of BKSA95 (The geomagnetic polarity time scale which was thoroughly revised and updated by Berggreen et al. in 1995). In the end the paleoenvironmental records and their relationship with the uplifting of the Tibetan Plateau were discussed. The results are as follows. The top boundary of the Xiliugou Formation is dated to be 51 Ma, i.e. Eocene. TheYehucheng Formation covers the time span of 51-31.5 Ma, i.e. from late Early Eocene to early Early Oligocene. The Xianshuihe Formation covers the time span of 31.5-15 Ma, i.e. from Early Oligocene to Middle Miocene. 2Disruption of the bHLH transcription factor Abnormal Tapetum 1 causes male sterility in watermelon显示文摘Although male sterility has been identified as a useful trait for hybrid vigor utilization and hybrid seed production,its underlying molecular mechanisms in Cucurbitaceae species are still largely unclear.Here,a spontaneous male-sterile watermelon mutant,Se18,was reported to have abnormal tapetum development,which resulted in completely aborted pollen grains.Map-based cloning demonstrated that the causal gene Citrullus lanatus Abnormal Tapetum 1(ClATM1)encodes a basic helix-loop-helix(bHLH)transcription factor with a 10-bp deletion and produces a truncated protein without the bHLH interaction and functional(BIF)domain in Se18 plants.qRT–PCR and RNA in situ hybridization showed that ClATM1 is specifically expressed in the tapetum layer and in microsporocytes during stages 6–8a of anther development.The genetic function of ClATM1 in regulating anther development was verified by CRISPR/Cas9-mediated mutagenesis.Moreover,ClATM1 was significantly downregulated in the Se18 mutant,displaying a clear dose effect at the transcriptional level.Subsequent dual-luciferase reporter,β-glucuronidase(GUS)activity,and yeast one-hybrid assays indicated that ClATM1 could activate its own transcriptional expression through promoter binding.Collectively,ClATM1 is the first male sterility gene cloned from watermelon,and its self-regulatory activity provides new insights into the molecular mechanism underlying anther development in plants.Ruimin Zhang Jingjing Chang Jiayue Li Guangpu Lan Changqing Xuan Hao Li Jianxiang Ma Yong Zhang Jianqiang Yang Shujuan Tian Li Yuan Xian Zhang Chunhua Wei 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:3

7New insights in nano-copper chromite catalyzing ultrafine AP:Evaluation of dispersity and mixing uniformity显示文摘Improving the application of nanomaterials has always been a research hotspot in the field of energetic materials(EMs)due to their obvious catalytic effect on the EMs,especially the uniformly dispersed nanomaterials.However,few studies have reported the dispersion of nanomaterials.In this study,the dispersity and mixing uniformity of nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)was evaluated based on the difference of solid UV light absorption between the nano-catalytic materials and EMs.The nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)/ultrafine AP composites with different dispersity of nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)were prepared by manual grinding and mechanical grinding with different grinding strength and griding time.And then,the absorbance of different samples at 212 nm was obtained by solid UV testing due to the high repeatability of the absorbance at 210-214 nm for three parallel experiments,and the dispersity of different samples was calculated through the established difference equation.Furthermore,the samples were characterized by XRD,IR,SEM,EDS,DSC and TG-MS,which confirmed that different mixing methods did not change the structure of the samples(XRD and IR),and the mixing uniformity improved with the increase of grinding strength and grinding time(SEM and EDS).The scientificity and feasibility of the difference equation were further verified by DSC.The dispersity of nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)exhibits a positive intrinsic relationship with its catalytic performance,and the uniformly dispersed nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)significantly reduces the thermal decomposition temperature of ultrafine AP from 367.7 to 338.8℃.The TG-MS patterns show that the dispersed nano-CuCr_(2)O_(4)advanced the thermal decomposition process of ultrafine AP by about 700 s,especially in the high temperature decomposition stage,and the more concentrated energy release characteristic is beneficial to further enhance the energy performance of AP-based propellants.The above conclusions show that the evaluation method of dispersity based on solid UV curves could provide new ideas for the dispersity characterization of nano-catalytic materials in EMs,which is expected to be widely used in the field of EMs.Yong Kou Peng Luo Lei Xiao Yanping Xin Guangpu Zhang Yubing Hu Junqing Yang Hongxu Gao Fengqi Zhao Wei Jiang Gazi Hao 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2:0
8Nucleation mechanism of a nickel-base superalloy during dynamic recrystallization显示文摘Hot compression test was carried out at 1000℃ to investigate the dynamic recrystallization nucleation mechanism of a nickel-base superalloy. It was found that the bulging of original grain boundaries was inhibited by carbides and deformation twins at the boundaries. Recrystallized nuclei evolved from the subgrains of dislocation reconfiguration along original grain boundaries, and the growth of the potential nuclei was carried out by the coalescence of subgrains. 9Development of Constitutive Equation and Processing Maps for IN706 Alloy显示文摘The hot deformation behavior of IN706 has been investigated by means of hot compression tests in the temperature range of 900–1150 °C and strain rate range of 0.001–1 s-1.The constitutive equation was developed on the basis of experimental data.Power dissipation efficiency(η) and instability parameter(ξ) maps were evaluated using the principles of the dynamic material model.Furthermore,the EBSD microstructure analysis was performed for validation,revealing that g was closely associated with the mechanism of dynamic recrystallization(DRX).Microstructure transition map was composed of contour plots of η,ξ,and DRX.The DRX domain zones and instable zones were identified in the processing map and were classified based on g.In a view of microstructure refinement and workability improvement,the optimum processing should be selected in the temperature range of 970–1025 °C and the strain rate range of 0.08–0.01 s-1.Shuo Huang Lei Wang Xintong Lian Beijiang Zhang Guangpu Zhao 2014Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2014,27,2:0
10Electrokinetic energy conversion of electro-magneto-hydro-dynamic nanofluids through a microannulus under the time-periodic excitation显示文摘In this work,the effects of externally applied axial pressure gradients and transverse magnetic fields on the electrokinetic energy conversion(EKEC)efficiency and the streaming potential of nanofluids through a microannulus are studied.The analytical solution for electro-magneto-hydro-dynamic(EMHD)flow is obtained under the condition of the Debye-Huuckel linearization.Especially,Green’s function method is used to obtain the analytical solutions of the velocity field.The result shows that the velocity distribution is characterized by the dimensionless frequency?,the Hartmann number Ha,the volume fraction of the nanoparticlesφ,the geometric radius ratio a,and the wallζpotential ratio b.Moreover,the effects of three kinds of periodic excitations are compared and discussed.The results also show that the periodic excitation of the square waveform is more effective in increasing the streaming potential and the EKEC efficiency.It is worth noting that adjusting the wallζpotential ratio and the geometric radius ratio can affect the streaming potential and the EKEC efficiency.Guangpu ZHAO Jiali ZHANG Zhiqiang WANG Yongjun JIAN 2021Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2021,42,7:0
11Self‐assembled fullerene(C60)‐pentacene superstructures for photodetectors显示文摘Fullerene assembling with specific donor molecules would yield multi-functional metamaterials via the collective behavior,wherein linear acenes are widely used as donor molecules to construct the charge‐transfer heterojunction structure with fullerene.However,they are generally prepared by vacuum deposition due to the insoluble property of high‐performance linear acenes molecules in common solvents,which makes the construction of fullerene with insoluble donor molecules still be a big challenge in the solution‐processed method.To this end,chemical modification provides an effective solution‐processed strategy to construct donor and acceptor systems.Here,the C60‐pentacene is assembled into controllable flower‐like superstructures by the surface grafting method.It is found that the nanofeatures of the microflowers could be regulated by temperature,resulting in dense‐flakes morphology at room temperature and loose flakes at high temperatures.Furthermore,the dense‐flakes microflowers structures with less mass but better crystalline structure exhibit better optoelectronic properties.Our results reveal an effective control on the nanofeatures of the self‐assembled fullerenes complex super-structures and their role for the optoelectronic performance,which may promote the exploring of fullerene superstructures as photodetectors.Qin Tang Guangpu Zhang Bohong Jiang Deyang Ji Huihui Kong Kristina Riehemann Qingmin Ji Harald Fuchs 2021SmartMat2021,2,1:0
