1Microstructure and mechanical properties of short-carbon-fiber/Ti_(3)SiC_(2) composites显示文摘Short-carbon-fibers(C_(sf))reinforced Ti_(3)SiC_(2) matrix composites(C_(sf)/Ti_(3)SiC_(2),the C_(sf) content was 0 vol%,2 vol%,5 vol%,and 10 vol%)were fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS)using Ti_(3)SiC_(2) powders and C_(sf) as starting materials at 1300℃.The effects of C_(sf) addition on the phase compositions,microstructures,and mechanical properties(including hardness,flexural strength(σ_(f)),and KIC)of C_(sf)/Ti_(3)SiC_(2) composites were investigated.The C_(sf),with bi-layered transition layers,i.e.,T_(IC) and SiC layers,were homogeneously distributed in the as-prepared C_(sf)/Ti_(3)SiC_(2) composites.With the increase of C_(sf) content,the K_(IC) of C_(sf)/Ti_(3)SiC_(2) composites increased,but the σ_(f) decreased,and the Vickers hardness decreased initially and then increased steadily when the C_(sf) content was higher than 2 vol%.These changed performances(hardness,σ_(f),and K_(IC))could be attributed to the introduction of C_(sf) and the formation of stronger interfacial phases.Guangqi HE Rongxiu GUO Meishuan LI Yang YANG Linshan WANG Yuhai QIAN Jun ZUO Jingjun XU Changsheng LIU 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,6:2
2Disruption of crosstalk between LX-2 and liver cancer stem-like cells from MHCC97H cells by DFOG via inhibiting FOXM1显示文摘Hepatic stellate cell(HSC)line LX-2 is activated by liver cancer stem-like cells(LCSLCs)and produces various cytokines that make up most of the hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)microenvironment.The new genistein derivative,7-difluoromethoxyl-5,4-dirboctylgenistein(DFOG),shows anticancer effects in multiple malignancies by controlling forkhead box M1(FOXM1).In this study,we aimed to assess whether DFOG disrupts the crosstalk between human HSC LX-2 cells and LCSLCs.Distinct gen erations of MHCC97H-derived spheres were obtained with the sec ond generation considered as LCSLCs which displayed enhanced self-renewal ability and elevated expression levels of CD133,CD44,and EpCAM proteins,as well as tumorigenicity,as revealed by colony formation assay in vitro and tumorigenicity assay in vivo.LX-2 and MHCC97H cells were co-cultured with/without DFOG(1,5,and 10 pM,respectively)using the transwell system.FOXM1 overexpression and/or knockdown were employed for mechanistic investigations.Our results suggested that Co-CM promoted LX-2 cell transformation into liver cancer-associated HSCs.Meanwhile,FOXM1 was up-regulated and the level of hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)was in creased in LX-2 cells and in the super nata nt after Co-CM stimulati on.Sphere and colony formation abilities in MHCC97H cells,and protein levels of CD133r CD44,and EpCAM,were also markedly elevated.DFOG dose-dependently inhibited the above effects,similar to FOXM1 knockdown in LX-2 cells.FOXM1 overexpression reversed the inhibitory effects of DFOG or FOXM1 knockdown or both on LX-2 cell activation and LCSLC feature induction in MHCC97H cells by LCSLC/LX-2 co-culture.This study demonstrated that DFOG disrupts the crosstalk between HSCs and LCSLCs to suppress LCSLC features via dowrrregulating FOXM1 expression and reducing HGF secretion in HSCs.A Chen Chang Xu Yimin Luo Lihua Liu Kun Song Guangqi Deng Mengjie Yang Jianguo Cao Liming Yuan Xiang Li 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,12:2

5Vagus nerve stimulation protects against cerebral injury after cardiopulmonary resuscitation by inhibiting inflammation through the TLR4/NF-κB and α7nAChR/JAK2 signaling pathways显示文摘BACKGROUND: Our previous research proved that vagus nerve stimulation(VNS) improved the neurological outcome after cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) by activating α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(α7nAChR) in a rat model, but the underlying mechanism of VNS in neuroprotection after CPR remains unclear.METHODS: In vivo, we established a mouse model of cardiac arrest(CA)/CPR to observe the survival rate, and the changes in inflammatory factors and brain tissue after VNS treatment. In vitro, we examined the effects of α7nAChR agonist on ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)-induced inflammation in BV2 cells under oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation(OGD/R) conditions. We observed the changes in cell survival rate, the levels of inflammatory factors, and the expressions of α7nAChR/Janus kinase 2(JAK2) and toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB).RESULTS: In vivo, VNS preconditioning enhanced functional recovery, improved the survival rate, and reduced hippocampal CA1 cell damage, and the levels of inflammatory mediators after CA/CPR. The application of α7nAChR agonists provided similar effects against cerebral injury after the return of spontaneous circulation(ROSC), while α7nAChR antagonists reversed these neuroprotective impacts. The in vitro results mostly matched the findings in vivo. OGD/R increased the expression of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α), TLR4 and NF-κB p65. When nicotine was added to the OGD/R model, the expression of TLR4, NF-κB p65, and TNF-α decreased, while the phosphorylation of JAK2 increased, which was prevented by preconditioning with α7nAChR or JAK2 antagonists.CONCLUSION: The neuroprotective effect of VNS correlated with the activation of α7nAChR. 6Integrated percutaneous sclerotherapy and surgical intervention for giant cutaneomucosal venous malformation from TIE2 mutation:A case report显示文摘Cutaneomucosal venous malformations(VMCMs)can manifest as sporadic or familial forms,following an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern.This report highlights the case of a 5-year-old girl presenting with a substantial congenital VMCM attributed to a TIE2 mutation,who underwent percutaneous sclerotherapy followed by surgery.The clinical,three-dimensional computed tomographic angiography(3D-CTA),as well as pathological and genetic findings concerning a patient with an extensive VMCM in the left pro-axillary region,are elucidated.The genetic analysis in this patient verified a missense mutation(c.2545T>C)in TIE2,confirming familial VMCMs.The combined strategy integrating percutaneous sclerotherapy and surgical excision is the most efficacious approach for managing large VMCMs and can successfully attain therapeutic goals.Song Wang Renrong Lv Guangqi Xu Ran Huo 2023Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2023,5,3:0
7Part-Whole Relational Few-Shot 3D Point Cloud Semantic Segmentation显示文摘This paper focuses on the task of few-shot 3D point cloud semantic segmentation.Despite some progress,this task still encounters many issues due to the insufficient samples given,e.g.,incomplete object segmentation and inaccurate semantic discrimination.To tackle these issues,we first leverage part-whole relationships into the task of 3D point cloud semantic segmentation to capture semantic integrity,which is empowered by the dynamic capsule routing with the module of 3D Capsule Networks(CapsNets)in the embedding network.Concretely,the dynamic routing amalgamates geometric information of the 3D point cloud data to construct higher-level feature representations,which capture the relationships between object parts and their wholes.Secondly,we designed a multi-prototype enhancement module to enhance the prototype discriminability.Specifically,the single-prototype enhancement mechanism is expanded to the multi-prototype enhancement version for capturing rich semantics.Besides,the shot-correlation within the category is calculated via the interaction of different samples to enhance the intra-category similarity.Ablation studies prove that the involved part-whole relations and proposed multi-prototype enhancement module help to achieve complete object segmentation and improve semantic discrimination.Moreover,under the integration of these two modules,quantitative and qualitative experiments on two public benchmarks,including S3DIS and ScanNet,indicate the superior performance of the proposed framework on the task of 3D point cloud semantic segmentation,compared to some state-of-the-art methods.Shoukun Xu Lujun Zhang Guangqi Jiang Yining Hua Yi Liu 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,3:0
8A novel medium-entropy(TiVNb)_(2)AlC MAX phase:Fabrication,microstructure,and properties显示文摘Medium-or high-entropy materials have great potential for applications due to their diverse compo-sitions and unexpected physicochemical properties.Herein,a novel medium-entropy(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was synthesized via hot pressing at 1400℃from three individual M_(2)AlC(M=Ti,V,Nb)MAX phases.The microstructure of(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was characterized from the microscale to the atomic scale by scanning electron microscope microscopy(SEM),scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM),and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results showed that Ti,V,and Nb atoms were fully solid-soluble in the M-sites of the M_(2)AlC MAX phase.Compared with three individual MAX phases,the thermal conduc-tivity of(TiVNb)_(2)AlC was reduced greatly in the temperature range of 293-1473 K,and its mechanical properties(including Young’s modulus,Vickers hardness,and bending strength)were all increased due to the solid solution strengthening and electronic mechanism.Guangqi He Yi Zhang Pei Yao Xingchao Li Ke Ma Jun Zuo Meishuan Li Changsheng Liu Jingjun Xu 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,6:0
9CircRNA DICAR as a novel endogenous regulator for diabetic cardiomyopathy and diabetic pyroptosis of cardiomyocytes显示文摘In this study,we identified that a conserved circular RNA(circRNA)DICAR,which was downregulated in diabetic mouse hearts.DICAR had an inhibitory effect on diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM),as the spontaneous cardiac dysfunction,cardiac cell hypertrophy,and cardiac fibrosis occurred in DICAR deficiency(DICAR+/−)mice,whereas the DCM was alleviated in DICARoverexpressed DICARTg mice.At the cellular level,we found that overexpression of DICAR inhibited,but knockdown of DICAR enhanced the diabetic cardiomyocyte pyroptosis.At the molecular level,we identified that DICAR-VCP-Med12 degradation could be the underlying molecular mechanism in DICAR-mediated effects.The synthesized DICAR junction part(DICAR-JP)exhibited a similar effect to the entire DICAR.In addition,the expression of DICAR in circulating blood cells and plasma from diabetic patients was lower than that from health controls,which was consistent with the decreased DICAR expression in diabetic hearts.DICAR and the synthesized DICAR-JP may be drug candidates for DCM.Qiong Yuan Yunwei Sun Fan Yang Dan Yan Meihua Shen Zhigang Jin Lin Zhan Guangqi Liu Ling Yang Qianyi Zhou Zhijun Yu Xiangyu Zhou Yang Yu Yong Xu Qingming Wu Jianfang Luo Xiamin Hu Chunxiang Zhang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:0
10Improving hard metal implant and soft tissue integration by modulating the“inflammatory-fibrous complex”response显示文摘Soft tissue integration is one major difficulty in the wide applications of metal materials in soft tissue-related areas.The inevitable inflammatory response and subsequent fibrous reaction toward the metal implant is one key response for metal implant-soft tissue integration.It is of great importance to modulate this inflammatory-fibrous response,which is mainly mediated by the multidirectional interaction between fibroblasts and macrophages.In this study,macrophages are induced to generate M1 and M2 macrophage immune microenvironments.Their cytokine profiles have been proven to have potentially multi-regulatory effects on fibroblasts.The multi-reparative effects of soft tissue cells(human gingival fibroblasts)cultured on metal material(titanium alloy disks)in M1 and M2 immune microenvironments are then dissected.Fibroblasts in the M1 immune microenvironment tend to aggravate the inflammatory response in a pro-inflammatory positive feedback loop,while M2 immune microenvironment enhances multiple functions of fibroblasts in soft tissue integration,including soft tissue regeneration,cell adhesion on materials,and contraction to immobilize soft tissue.Enlighted by the close interaction between macrophages and fibroblasts,we propose the concept of an“inflammatory-fibrous complex”to disclose possible methods of precisely and effectively modulating inflammatory and fibrous responses,thus advancing the development of metal soft tissue materials.Peina Huang Jieyun Xu Lv Xie Guangqi Gao Shoucheng Chen Zhuohong Gong Xiaomei Lao Zhengjie Shan Jiamin Shi Zhaocai Zhou Zhuofan Chen Yang Cao Yan Wang Zetao Chen 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:0
