1Experimental investigation on operating instability of a dual compensation chamber loop heat pipe显示文摘The operating instability of a dual compensation chamber loop heat pipe (DCC-LHP) including temperature hysteresis, reverse flow and temperature oscillation is described and explained in this paper. Test results indicate that the steady state operating temperature under the variable conductance mode is not the same during the power cycle tests with the same heat load, and it is lower during the power reduction cycle than that during the power increase cycle. Orientation has an effect on the heat load range when temperature hysteresis occurs, and the effect of power variation amplitude can be ignored. Reverse flow tends to occur in some of the startups at low heat loads, even if vapor existed in the vapor grooves initially, which is caused by a higher pressure inside the wick due to evaporation in the evaporator core or vapor penetration into it. Temperature oscillation tends to occur in some of the startups at low head loads or some steady-state operations at high heat loads. 2The R2R3-MYB transcription factor GhMYB1a regulates flavonol and anthocyanin accumulation in Gerbera hybrida显示文摘Anthocyanins and flavonols have vital roles in flower coloration,plant development,and defense.Because anthocyanins and flavonols share the same subcellular localization and common biosynthetic substrates,these pathways may compete for substrates.However,the mechanism regulating this potential competition remains unclear.Here,we identified GhMYB1a,an R2R3-MYB transcription factor involved in the regulation of anthocyanin and flavonol accumulation in gerbera(Gerbera hybrida).GhMYB1a shares high sequence similarity with that of other characterized regulators of flavonol biosynthesis.In addition,GhMYB1a is also phylogenetically grouped with these proteins.The overexpression of GhMYB1a in gerbera and tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum)resulted in decreased anthocyanin accumulation and increased accumulation of flavonols by upregulating the structural genes involved in flavonol biosynthesis.We further found that GhMYB1a functions as a homodimer instead of interacting with basic helix-loop-helix cofactors.These results suggest that GhMYB1a is involved in regulating the anthocyanin and flavonol metabolic pathways through precise regulation of gene expression.The functional characterization of GhMYB1a provides insight into the biosynthesis and regulation of flavonols and anthocyanins.Chunmei Zhong Yi Tang Bin Pang Xukun Li Yuping Yang Jing Deng Chengyong Feng Lingfei Li Guiping Ren Yaqin Wang Jianzong Peng Shulan Sun Shan Liang Xiaojing Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:7
3Using autologistic spatial models to simulate the distribution of land-use patterns in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province显示文摘Nowadays,spatial simulation on land use patterns is one of the key contents of LUCC.Modeling is an important tool for simulating land use patterns due to its ability to inte-grate measurements of changes in land cover and the associated drivers.The conventional regression model can only analyze the correlation between land use types and driving factors, but cannot depict the spatial autocorrelation characteristics.Land uses in Yongding County, which is located in the typical karst mountain areas in northwestern Hunan province,were investigated by means of modeling the spatial autocorrelation of land use types with the purpose of deriving better spatial land use patterns on the basis of terrain characteristics and infrastructural conditions.Through incorporating components describing the spatial autocor-relation into a conventional logistic model,we constructed a regression model(Autologistic model),and used this model to simulate and analyze the spatial land use patterns in Yong- ding County.According to the comparison with the conventional logistic model without con- sidering the spatial autocorrelation,this model showed better goodness and higher accuracy of fitting.The distribution of arable land,wood land,built-up land and unused land yielded areas under the ROC curves(AUC)was improved to 0.893,0.940,0.907 and 0.863 respec- tively with the autologistic model.It is argued that the improved model based on autologistic method was reasonable to a certain extent.Meanwhile,these analysis results could provide valuable information for modeling future land use change scenarios with actual conditions of local and regional land use,and the probability maps of land use types obtained from this study could also support government decision-making on land use management for Yongding County and other similar areas.WU Guiping ZENG Yongnian XIAO Pengfeng FENG Xuezhi HU Xiaotian 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,2:6
4Application of Constructed Wetlands on Wastewater Treatment for Aquaculture Ponds显示文摘A group of constructed wetlands (CWs) were applied to the recir-culating aquaculture system. This study assessed the performance of CWs in treating the aquaculture wastewater, examined the water quality condition of aquaculture ponds and the growth and the survival rate of 'target' species (Ictalurus punctatus and Megalobrama amblycephala). The results showed that CWs were effective on reducing the concentrations of 5-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5, at 70.5%), total suspended solids (TSS, at 81.9%), chlorophyll a (Chl-a, at 91.9%), ammonium (NH4+, at 61.5%) and nitrate nitro-gen (NO3--N, at 68.0%). Effect of CWs on phosphate (PO43--P) removal was relatively lower (at 20.0%). The concentrations of BOD5, TSS, Chl-a, NH4+ and TN, TP in the recirculating culture pond were significantly lower than that in the control pond( p0.05∧). 5New insights into the associations among feed efficiency, metabolizable efficiency traits and related QTL regions in broiler chickens显示文摘Background: Improving the feed efficiency would increase profitability for producers while also reducing the environmental footprint of livestock production. This study was conducted to investigate the relationships among feed efficiency traits and metabolizable efficiency traits in 180 male broilers. Significant loci and genes affecting the metabolizable efficiency traits were explored with an imputation-based genome-wide association study. The traits measured or calculated comprised three growth traits, five feed efficiency related traits, and nine metabolizable efficiency traits.Results: The residual feed intake(RFI) showed moderate to high and positive phenotypic correlations with eight other traits measured, including average daily feed intake(ADFI), dry excreta weight(DEW), gross energy excretion(GEE), crude protein excretion(CPE), metabolizable dry matter(MDM), nitrogen corrected apparent metabolizable energy(AMEn), abdominal fat weight(Ab F), and percentage of abdominal fat(Ab P). Greater correlations were observed between growth traits and the feed conversion ratio(FCR) than RFI. In addition, the RFI, FCR, ADFI, DEW,GEE, CPE, MDM, AMEn, Ab F, and Ab P were lower in low-RFI birds than high-RFI birds(P < 0.01 or P < 0.05), whereas the coefficients of MDM and MCP of low-RFI birds were greater than those of high-RFI birds(P < 0.01). Five narrow QTLs for metabolizable efficiency traits were detected, including one 82.46-kb region for DEW and GEE on Gallus gallus chromosome(GGA) 26, one 120.13-kb region for MDM and AMEn on GGA1, one 691.25-kb region for the coefficients of MDM and AMEn on GGA5, one region for the coefficients of MDM and MCP on GGA2(103.45–103.53 Mb), and one 690.50-kb region for the coefficient of MCP on GGA14. Linkage disequilibrium(LD) analysis indicated that the five regions contained high LD blocks, as well as the genes chromosome 26 C6 orf106 homolog(C26 H6 orf106), LOC396098, SH3 and multiple ankyrin repeat domains 2(SHANK2), ETS homologous factor(EHF), and histamine receptor H3-like(HRH3 L), which are known to be involved in the regulation of neurodevelopment, cell proliferation and differentiation, and food intake.Conclusions: Selection for low RFI significantly decreased chicken feed intake, excreta output, and abdominal fat deposition, and increased nutrient digestibility without changing the weight gain. Five novel QTL regions involved in the control of metabolizable efficiency in chickens were identified. 6Load-Balancing and QoS Based Dynamic Resource Allocation Method for Smart Gird Fiber-Wireless Networks显示文摘Real-time network resource allocation based on virtualization technology is an important method to solve the solidification problem of Fiber-wireless(Fi-Wi)access networks.To increase the resource utilization and meet the specific QoS requirements of smart gird communication services,a Load-balancing and QoS based dynamic resource allocation method(LbQ-DR)is proposed with three sub-mechanisms.A time-window based substrate network resource update mechanism is designed to describe the realtime resource consumption of substrate networks,which can balance the accuracy of resource status and the complexity of the allocation algorithm.A QoS-based Virtual network request(VNR)sorting mechanism is presented to precisely calculate the priority of VNRs and reasonably sort the incoming services.A load-balancing based resource allocation mechanism is designed to avoid unbalanced resource consumption.Especially,the channel interference is considered in the cost of embedding and a collision domain mechanism is introduced to decrease interference.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can provide heterogeneous smart grid businesses with differentiated service,improve the utilization and economic benefits of the network and make the network more balanced.XU Siya LI Peng QI Feng GUO Shaoyong ZHOU Guiping DENG Wei LI Yueyue 2019Chinese Journal of Electronics2019,28,6:1

9Comparison of the Arctic upper-air temperatures from radiosonde and radio occultation observations显示文摘The air temperature is one of the most important parameters used for monitoring the Arctic climate change. The constellation observing system for meteorology, ionosphere, and climate and Formosa Satellite Mission 3(COSMIC/FORMOSAT-3) radio occultation(RO) 'wet' temperature product(i.e., 'wet Prf') is used to analyze the Arctic air temperature profiles at 925–200 hPa in 2007–2012. The 'wet' temperatures are further compared with radiosonde(RS) observations. The results from the spatially and temporally synchronized RS and COSMIC observations show that their temperatures agree well with each other, especially at 400 hPa. Comparisons of seasonal temperatures and anomalies from the COSMIC and homogenized RS observations suggest that the limited number of COSMIC observations during the spatial matchup may be insufficient to describe the smallscale spatial structure of temperature variations. Furthermore, comparisons of the seasonal temperature anomalies from the RS and 5°×5° gridded COSMIC observations at 400 hPa during the sea ice minimum(SIM) of2007 and 2012 are also made. The results reveal that similar Arctic temperature variation patterns can be obtained from both RS and COSMIC observations over the land area, while extra information can be further provided from the densely distributed COSMIC observations. 15Assessment of prediction model of the CPUE of neon flying squid with different sources of remote sensing data显示文摘Accurately building the relationship between the oceanographic environment and the distribution of neon flying squid(Ommastrephes bartramii)is very important to understand the potential habitat pattern of O.bartramii.However,when building the prediction model of O.bartramii with traditional oceanographic variables(e.g.,chlorophyll a concentration(Chl a)and sea surface temperature(SST))from space-borne observations,part of the important spectrum characteristics of the oceanic surface could be masked by using the satellite data products directly.In this study,the neglected remote sensing information(i.e.,spectral remote sensing reflectance(Rrs)and brightness temperature(BT))is firstly incorporated to build the prediction model of catch per unit effort(CPUE)of O.bartramii from July to December during 2014–2018 in the Northwest Pacific Ocean.Results show that both the conventional oceanographic variables and the neglected remote sensing data are suitable for building the prediction model,whereas the overall root mean square error(RMSE)of the predicted CPUE of O.bartramii with the former is typically less accurate than that with the latter.Hence,the Rrs and BT could be a more suitable data source than the Chl a and SST to predict the distribution of O.bartramii,highlighting that the potential value of the neglected variables in understanding the habitat suitability of O.bartramii.Liang Chang Yanli Yang Xinjun Chen Wei Yu Yangdong Li Guiping Feng Yang Zhang 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,6:0

17Analysis of mechanical response of fistula plug for structure optimization显示文摘Anal fistula is one of the three greatest anorectal diseases with a high prevalence.The traditional treatments(e.g.,surgery) for fistula have limitations due to damage to the internal anal sphincter of patients.With recent advances in biomaterials,treatments based on biomaterial filling (e.g.,scleraprotein injection,fistula plug) have emerged as novel therapies for fistula.The anal fistula plug(e.g.,based on small intestinal submucosa(SIS)) has attracted increasing attention because of short term healing rate and biocompatibility.However,challenges remain for this method such as plug falling as observed in clinics.To address this,this paper analyzes the case of SIS falling under physiological condition from mechanical point of view using ANSYS simulation.It then proposes three new geometrical structures for fistula plug and compares their mechanical behavior(e.g.,axial stress,reaction of constraint) with that of clinically used structure(cone shape).Based on the simulation,it optimizes the geometric parameters of fistula plug.The approach developed here can help to improve the design of fistula plug for better clinical treatments.Shunli Yang Bin Jiang Feng Xu Min Lin Guiping Zhao Tianjian Lu 2012Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2012,2,1:0
