1Topology optimization of plate structures using plate element-based moving morphable component(MMC)approach显示文摘A topology optimization approach for designing the layout of plate structures is proposed in this article.In this approach,structural mechanical behavior is analyzed under the framework of Kirchhoff plate theory,and structural topology is described explicitly by a set of moving morphable components.Compared to the existing treatments where structural topology is generally described in an implicit manner,the adopted explicit geometry/layout description has demonstrated its advantages on several aspects.Firstly,the number of design variables is reduced substantially.Secondly,the obtained optimized designs are pure black-and-white and contain no gray regions.Besides,numerical experiments show that the use of Kirchhoff plate element helps save 95-99%computational time,compared with traditional treatments where solid elements are used for finite element analysis.Moreover the accuracy of the proposed method is also validated through a comparison with the corresponding theoretical solutions.Several numerical examples are also provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Tianchen Cui Zhi Sun Chang Liu Linyuan Li Ronghua Cui Xu Guo 2020Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,2:4

9The influence of alternating cyclic dynamic loads with different low frequencies on the bio-corrosion behaviors of AZ31B magnesium alloy in vitro显示文摘The real physiological environment of human body is complicated with different degrees and forms of dynamic loads applied to implanted medical devices due to the daily activities of the patients,which would have impacts on the degradation behaviors of magnesium alloy implants.In this work,the bio-corrosion behaviors of AZ31B magnesium alloy under alternating cyclic dynamic loads with different low frequencies(0.1-2.5 Hz)were specially investigated.It was found that the bio-degradation performances under external dynamic stressed conditions were much severer than those under unstressed conditions and static loads.The corrosion rates were generally accelerated as the rise of cyclic frequency.Hereby a numerical model for the degradation process of Mg alloy was established.The corrosion current density icorr of Mg alloy and the applied loading frequency f matches a linear relationship of ln icorr∝f,which is the result of interactions between the cyclic alternating load and corrosive environment.This work could provide a theoretical reference and an experimental basis for further researches on the biodegradation behaviors of biomedical materials under dynamic conditions.Linyuan Han Zhenwei Zhang Jianwei Dai Xuan Li Jing Bai Zhihai Huang Chao Guo Feng Xue Chenglin Chu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:0
10Silicalite-1 zeolite encapsulated Fe nanocatalyst for Fenton-like degradation of methylene blue显示文摘Encapsulation of Fe nanoparticles in zeolite is a promising way to significantly improve the catalytic activity and stability of Fe-based catalysts during the degradation process of organic pollutants.Herein,Fe nanocatalysts were encapsulated into silicalite-1(S-1)zeolite by using a ligand-protected method(with dicyandiamide(DCD)as a organic ligand)under direct hydrothermal synthesis condition.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)results confirmed the high dispersion of Fe nanocatalysts which were successfully encapsulated within the voids among the primary particles of the S-1 zeolite.The developed S-1 zeolite encapsulated Fe nanocatalyst(Fe@S-1)exhibited significantly improved catalytic activity and reusability in the catalytic degradation process of methylene blue(MB).Specifically,the developed Fe0.021@S-1 catalyst showed high catalytic degradation activity,giving a high MB degradation efficiency of 100%in 30 min,outperformed the conventional impregnated catalyst(Fe/S-1).Moreover,the Fe@S-1 catalyst afforded an outstanding stability,showing only ca.7.9%activity loss after five cycling tests,while the Fe/S-1 catalyst presented a significantly activity loss of 50.9%after only three cycles.Notably,the encapsulation strategy enabled a relatively lower Fe loading in the Fe@S-1 catalyst in comparison with that of the Fe/S-1 catalyst,i.e.,0.35%vs.0.81%(mass).Radical scavenging experiments along with electron spin resonance(ESR)measurements confirmed that the major role ofOH in the MB degradation process.Specifically,Fe@S-1 catalyst with high molar ratio of[Fe(DCD)]Cl3 is beneficial to form Fe complexes/nanoclusters in the voids(which has large pore size of 1–2 nm)among the primary particles of the zeolite,and thus improving the diffusion and accessibility of reactants to Fe active sites,and thus exhibiting a relatively higher degradation efficiency.This work demonstrates that zeolite-encapsulated Fe nanocatalysts present potential applications in the advanced oxidation of wastewater treatment.Hongwei Guo Linyuan Chen Xueying Zhang Huanhao Chen Yan Shao 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1:0
11Sex differences in eye movements and neural oscillations during mental rotation in virtual reality显示文摘Virtual reality(VR)has been a promising tool for developing visuospatial tasks.Among visuospatial tasks,mental rotation tasks are widely used in the assessment of visuospatial ability.Males have a distinct advantage in mental rotation ability compared to females,yet it is generally produced by investigations based on two-dimensional(2D)images on a computer screen.Sex differences in mental rotation tasks with three-dimensional(3D)objects in VR were not fully investigated.It is unclear whether the male's advantages in 2D mental rotation tasks are weakened in 3D tasks.The aim of this study was to provide new insights into the understanding of sex differences in mental rotation tasks presented in VR.Here,we developed a VR mental rotation task(VR-MRT)using 3D objects presented by a head-mounted display(HMD)and used VR-based eye tracking and electroencephalography(EEG)to examine eye movements and neural oscillations for males and females.Our results showed that females preferred a piecemeal strategy compared to males,suggesting a significant sex difference in visual strategy.More importantly,we found no significant sex differences in alpha-band and beta-band oscillations related to rotation processes of VR-MRT.These findings indicated that sex differences in the VR-MRT were mainly attributed to the selection of visual strategy rather than the rotation processes.The study helps to comprehensively understand the dominant factors contributing to the sex differences in the VR-MRT.Zhili Tang Xiaoyu Liu Hongqiang Huo Min Tang Xiaofeng Qiao Duo Chen Ying Dong Linyuan Fan Jinghui Wang Xin Du Jieyi Guo Yubo Fan 2023Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2023,,2:0
12Ganoderma atrum polysaccharide relieves mitochondrial dysfunction to alleviate hydrogen peroxide-induced senescence via activating autophagy显示文摘Polysaccharides from genus Ganoderma have prominent anti-aging effect,but their mechanisms are incompletely clarified.In our previous experiments,Ganoderma atrum polysaccharide(PSG)was exhibited to significantly alleviate senescence and DNA damage of A375 cells.To investigate its underlying mechanism,we conducted RNA-Seq analysis and found that PSG upregulated autophagy and mitochondria pathways compared to the model group.Further experiments showed that PSG relieved mitochondrial dysfunction via inhibiting the accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and loss of the mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP).Meanwhile,PSG activated autophagy and enhanced lysosomal function through transcription factor EB(TFEB).Interestingly,the pretreatment of autophagy inhibitors bafilomycin A1(Baf A1)reversed the ROS decline induced by PSG,which subsequently increased cellular senescence of A375.In addition,PSG had a similar anti-aging effect on normal fibroblast WI-38.Taken together,PSG might reduce ROS levels through activating autophagy,which in turn suppressed mitochondrial dysfunction and cellular senescence.Mi Guo Ke Zhang Duoduo Zhang Yujia Zhou Linyuan Liu Yu Wu Xingtao Zhou Shaoping Nie 2022Journal of Future Foods2022,2,3:0
