Longwall mining “cutting cantilever beam theory” and 110 mining method in China——The third mining science innovation显示文摘With the third innovation in science and technology worldwide, China has also experienced this marvelous progress. Concerning the longwall mining in China, the 'masonry beam theory'(MBT) was first proposed in the 1960 s, illustrating that the transmission and equilibrium method of overburden pressure using reserved coal pillar in mined-out areas can be realized. This forms the so-called '121mining method', which lays a solid foundation for development of mining science and technology in China. The 'transfer rock beam theory'(TRBT) proposed in the 1980 s gives a further understanding for the transmission path of stope overburden pressure and pressure distribution in high-stress areas. In this regard, the advanced 121 mining method was proposed with smaller coal pillar for excavation design, making significant contributions to improvement of the coal recovery rate in that era. In the 21 st century, the traditional mining technologies faced great challenges and, under the theoretical developments pioneered by Profs. Minggao Qian and Zhenqi Song, the 'cutting cantilever beam theory'(CCBT) was proposed in 2008. After that the 110 mining method is formulated subsequently, namely one stope face, after the first mining cycle, needs one advanced gateway excavation, while the other one is automatically formed during the last mining cycle without coal pillars left in the mining area. This method can be implemented using the CCBT by incorporating the key technologies, including the directional presplitting roof cutting, constant resistance and large deformation(CRLD) bolt/anchor supporting system with negative Poisson's ratio(NPR) effect material, and remote real-time monitoring technology. The CCBT and 110 mining method will provide the theoretical and technical basis for the development of mining industry in China. | Manchao He Guolong Zhu Zhibiao Guo | 2015 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2015,7,5: | 57
Floor heave in the west wing track haulage roadway of the Tingnan Coal Mine: Mechanism and control显示文摘Floor heave of a roadway is a dynamic phenomenon that often happens in the roadways of coal mines. It seriously affects safe production in the coal mine. Floor heave has long been one of the most difficult problems to be resolved during coal mining. An analysis of floor heave in the soft rock surrounding the roadway, and the factors influencing it, allowed the deformation mechanism in the west wing double track haulage roadway of the Tingnan Coal Mine to be deduced. Three types of floor heave are observed there: intumescent floor heave, extrusion and mobility floor heave, and compound floor heave. Control measures are proposed that have been adopted during a recent repair engineering project. Control of the floor heave in the west wing track haulage roadway was demonstrated. The reliability and rationality of a combined support technology including floor anchors, an inverted arch, and anchoring of both sides was verified by mine pressure data and the field observations. Waterproofing measures were also under-taken to assist in the control of floor heave. | Wang Jiong | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,3: | 18
Double-directional control bolt support technology and engineering application at large span Y-type intersections in deep coal mines显示文摘Under deep and complex geological conditions, severe deformation occurs at intersection points of Y-type roadways with large cross sections during engineering projects in coal mines, especially at junction arches.Based on in-situ investigations and theoretical studies,we have summarized typical forms of destruction and identified high stress and unrestricted support at both sides of junction arch as its main causes. In this study,we also presented double-directional control bolt support technology for a large Y-type span intersection, applied to deep intersection engineering in the Jiahe Coal Mine, which has proved effective. | GUO, Zhibiao SHI, Jianjun WANG, Jiong CAI, Feng WANG, Fuqiang | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,2: | 12
A study of support strategies in deep soft rock:The horsehead crossing roadway in Daqiang Coal Mine显示文摘Geomechanics in deep mines becomes more complex and structural support in soft rock can be very difficult.Highly stressed soft rock subject to expansion deformation is particularly difficult to control. The Tiefa Coal Industry Group Daqiang Coal Mine is used as an example.A ventilation shaft,à550 horsehead,is located in tertiary soft rock.Analysis of the reasons for deformation shows an intumescent rock, which is easily damaged.Field observations and theoretical analysis led to a design capable of stabilizing the rock.A combination of spray, anchors, anchor bolts, and soft corner coupled truss supports allowed the deformation to be controlled. This provides a model for similar designs when support of a horsehead roadway is required. | Guo Zhibiao Yang Xiaojie Bai Yunpeng Zhou Feng Li Erqiang | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5: | 11
Distribution of ground stress on Puhe Coal Mine显示文摘Puhe Coal Mine is a typical Tertiary coal in Shenbei mining area. With an increase in mining depth, tectonic stress field becomes more complex, leading to increased deformation and failure of the soft rock roadway. Stress becomes an important factor of mine safety and stability. This paper analyzes the distribution of the regional tectonic field, and determines the distribution of situ stress measurement through measuring the ground stress field in the main mining area level of Puhe Coal Mine using stress relief method. The acquired in situ stress data at different locations and depths provide a reference for the rational arrangement of the stop and mine roadway supporting design, which are of great significance for the efficient safety production of the mine. | Guo Zhibiao Jiang Yulin Pang Jiewen Liu Jiawei | 2013 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,1: | 10
Nonselective etching of GaN/AlGaN heterostructures by Cl2/Ar/BCl3 inductively coupled plasmas显示文摘A systematic study of the nonselective and smooth etching of GaN/AIGaN het-erostructures was performed using C12/Ar/BCI3 inductively coupled plasmas (ICR).Nonselective etching can be realized by adjusting the BCI3 ratio in the Cl2/Ar/BCI3 mixture (20%—60%), increasing the ICR power and dc bias, and decreasing the chamber pressure. Surface morphology of the etched heterostructures strongly depends on the gas chemistry and the chamber pressure. Specifically, with the addition of 20% BCI3 to Cl2/Ar (4:1) gas mixture, nonselective etching of GaN/Al0.28Ga0.72N heterostructures at high etch rate is maintained and the surface root-mean-square (rms) roughness is reduced from 10.622 to 0.495 nm, which is smoother than the as-grown sample. Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) analysis shows that the effective removal of residual oxygen from the surface of AIGaN during the etching process is crucial to the nonselective and smooth etching of GaN/AIGaN herterostructures at high etch rate. | HAN Yanjun XUE Song WU Tong WU Zhen GUO Wenping LUO Yi HAO Zhibiao SUN Changzheng | 2004 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2004,47,2: | 6
Failure mechanism and supporting measures for large deformation of Tertiary deep soft rock显示文摘The Shenbei mining area in China contains typical soft rock from the Tertiary Period. As mining depths increase, deep soft rock roadways are damaged by large deformations and constantly need to be repaired to meet safety requirements, which is a great security risk. In this study, the characteristics of deformation and failure of typical roadway were analyzed, and the fundamental reason for the roadway deformation was that traditional support methods and materials cannot control the large deformation of deep soft rock. Deep soft rock support technology was developed based on constant resistance energy absorption using constant resistance large deformation bolts. The correlative deformation mechanisms of surrounding rock and bolt were analyzed to understand the principle of constant resistance energy absorption. The new technology works well on-site and provides a new method for the excavation of roadways in Tertiary deep soft rock. | Guo Zhibiao Wang Jiong Zhang Yuelin | 2015 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,1: | 5
Stability control of a deep shaft insert显示文摘The deterioration of a deep shaft insert at the Xing'an Coal Mine was analyzed by studying the physical and mechanical properties of the rock located at key positions relative to the shaft. Factors that influence shaft stability were obtained. The numerical simulation program FLAC3D was used to simulate the destruction of the deep shaft insert. Two different support methods were analyzed by simulation. The simulations demonstrate that a single stiffness support is inappropriate for this shaft insert. The appropriate support method is an integrated coupling method of rigid and flexible supports. The flexible support is applied first and then the rigid support is second. Engineering practice in the Xing'an Coal Mine shows that this technology can effectively control deep-shaft insert deterioration. This support approach provides an important direction for future project design and construction, as well. | LI Guofeng | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,4: | 4
The creep compaction behavior of crushed mudstones under the step loading in underground mining显示文摘The crushed rocks are used as a filling material in mined丒out areas of underground mining. Compared with the man-made filling materials, the crushed rocks exhibit higher compressibility and lower stability, which may result in instability of surrounding rock and surface subsidence. To study the creep compaction behavior of crushed mudstones, a series of creep tests are conducted. The investigations show that the creep compaction behavior of crushed mudstones is highly dependent on the original grain composition and axial stress applied on the samples. The samples with more large particles are easier to deform at initial loading stage for more large voids existed in the samples, and exhibit greater stability than those with smaller particles when the axial stress less than the bearing capacity of uframework structure When the axial stress is higher than 20 MPa, the influences of grain composition on deformability of crushed mudstones are weakened after the samples experience repeated compression. At lower stress level, the creep behavior prefers to occur in the samples w.h smaller particles, which is mainly caused by particles flow without significant particle breakage. As the axial stress increases, the single-sized sample with smaller particle size and the well-graded sample with larger Talbol power exponent n present more unstable under the constant stress. In addition, the filling of the residual intergranular voids by small particles formed by crushing and splitting behavior is the main cause of creep deformation. Lastly, a creep equation of crushed mudstones is obtained in this paper, which can agree with the experimental results in good. | Zhibiao Guo Qiong Wang Songyang Yin Xiaohui Kuai Dongshan Yan Mengyi Li Yandong Qu | 2019 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2019,6,3: | 2

Modulating surface cation vacancies of nickel-cobalt oxides as efficient catalysts for lithium-oxygen batteries显示文摘Rechargeable lithium-oxygen batteries(LOBs)have received incremental attention owing to their high energy density and applicability to mobile devices and electric vehicles. However, the lack of robust,low-cost,and environmentally benign bifunctional catalysts is a major impediment to the commercial application. The introduction of vacancies is one of the effective strategies to enhance the performance of cathode catalysts for lithium-oxygen batteries, but the preparation is complicated. In this work,needle-like microsphere cathode catalysts of nickel-cobalt oxide containing cationic vacancies are constructed by controlling the annealing temperature. It is demonstrated that the presence of cationic vacancies can modulate the electronic structure of the catalyst, reduce the energy barrier for the oxygen electrode re-action,meanwhile enhance the bifunctional catalytic activity.Impressively, the nickel-cobalt oxide-based LOB with cationic vacancies exhibits large specific capacity(12,205 mAh g^(-1)at 200 mA g^(-1))and good durability. This work provides worthwhile insight into the formation and catalytic enhancement mech-anism of transition metal oxide catalysts with cationic vacancies, and to some extent, the creation of efficient and low-cost oxygen electrocatalysts for LOBs. | Yuan Yang Linna Dai Jianwei Qiu Zhibiao Hu Peng Wang Yongtao Zhao Huanhuan Guo Pengchao Si Rui Song | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,8: | 0
Instability mechanism of mining roadway passing through fault at different angles in kilometre-deep mine and control measures of roof cutting and NPR cables显示文摘The angle α between the fault strike and the axial direction of the roadway produces different damage characteristics. In this paper, the research methodology includes theoretical analyses, numerical simulations and field experiments in the context of the Daqiang coal mine located in Shenyang, China. The stability control countermeasure of 'pre-splitting cutting roof + NPR anchor cable'(PSCR-NPR) is simultaneously proposed. According to the different deformation characteristics of the roadway, the faults are innovatively classified into three types, with α of type I being 0°-30°, α of type II being 30°-60°, and α of type III being 60°-90°. The full-cycle stress evolution paths during mining roadway traverses across different types of faults are investigated by numerical simulation. Different pinch angles α lead to high stress concentration areas at different locations in the surrounding rock. The non-uniform stress field formed in the shallow surrounding rock is an important reason for the instability of the roadway. The pre-cracked cut top shifted the high stress region to the deep rock mass and formed a low stress region in the shallow rock mass. The high prestressing NPR anchor cable transforms the non-uniform stress field of the shallow surrounding rock into a uniform stress field. PSCR-NPR is applied in the fault-through roadway of Daqiang mine. The low stress area of the surrounding rock was enlarged by 3-7 times, and the cumulative convergence was reduced by 45%-50%. It provides a reference for the stability control of the deep fault-through mining roadway. | SUN Xiaoming WANG Jian ZHAO Wenchao MING Jiang ZHANG Yong LI Zhihu MIAO Chengyu GUO Zhibiao HE Manchao | 2024 | Journal of Mountain Science2024,21,1: | 0
VG,encoding a thylakoid formation protein, regulates the formation of variegated leaves in tomato显示文摘Leaf-color mutations have been studied extensively in plants. However,to better understand the complex mechanisms underlying the formation of leaf color,it is essential to continue discover novel genes involved in the process of leaf color development. In this study,we identified a variegated-leaf(vg)mutant in tomato that exhibited defective phenotypes in thylakoids and photosynthesis. To clone the vg locus,an F2population was constructed from the cross between the vg mutant(Solanum lycopersicum)and the wild tomato LA1589(S.pimpinellifolium).Using the map-based cloning approach, the vg locus was mapped on chromosome 7 and narrowed down to a 128 kb region that contained 21 open reading frames(ORFs).The expression levels of ORF9,ORF10,and ORF13 were significantly lower in vg than in the wild-type plants, while the ORF11 transcript level was elevated in vg.We then mutagenized ORF9,ORF10,and ORF13 by the CRISPR/Cas9 system in the wild-type tomato background and found that only the ORF10 mutation reproduced the phenotype of variegated leaves, indicating that ORF10 represents VG and its down-regulated expression was responsible for the variegated leaf phenotype.ORF10 encodes a thylakoid formation protein and its mutant lines showed reduced levels of chlorophyll synthesis and photosynthesis.Taken together, these results suggest that VG is necessary for chloroplast development, chlorophyll synthesis, and photosynthesis in tomato. | Jianwen Song Lijie Guo Lele Shang Wenqian Wang Chuying Yu Zhibiao Ye Junhong Zhang | 2023 | Horticultural Plant Journal2023,9,1: | 0
