| 1 | Arc corrosion behavior of Cu-Ti_3AlC_2 composites in air atmosphere显示文摘The arc corrosion evolution of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathodes is presented here. After eroded by 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 kV DC voltage, respectively, the surface morphologies were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope with craters and protrusions. Compared to small craters and dense protrusions of the morphology by high voltage, the eroded surface was covered with bigger craters and sparse protrusions at low voltage. No crack was discovered on the surface even at 10 kV. By means of energy dispersive spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, the decomposition of Cu-20 vol.% Ti_3 AlC_2 cathode to CuO,Al__2 O_3 and TiO_2 were proved. Meanwhile, W anode is oxidized to WO_2. | 2 | Electronic-property dependent interactions between tetracycline and graphene nanomaterials in aqueous solution显示文摘Understanding the interactions between graphene nanomaterials(GNMs) and antibiotics in aqueous solution is critical to both the engineering applications of GNMs and the assessment of their potential impact on the fate and transport of antibiotics in the aquatic environment. In this study, adsorption of one common antibiotic, tetracycline, by graphene oxide(GO) and reduced graphene oxide(RGO) was examined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) and graphite as comparison. The results showed that the tetracycline adsorption capacity by the four selected carbonaceous materials on the unit mass basis followed an order of GO > RGO > MWCNTs > graphite. Upon normalization by surface area,graphite, RGO and MWCNTs had almost the same high tetracycline adsorption affinity while GO exhibited the lowest. We proposed π-electron-property dependent interaction mechanisms to explain the observed different adsorption behaviors. Density functional theory(DFT) calculations suggested that the oxygen-containing functional groups on GO surface reduced its π-electron-donating ability, and thus decreased the π-based interactions between tetracycline and GO surface. Comparison of adsorption efficiency at different p H indicated that electrostatic interaction also played an important role in tetracycline-GO interactions. | 3 | Stable ZnO/ionic liquid hybrid materials: novel dual-responsive superhydrophobic layers to light and anions显示文摘Novel dual-responsive superhydrophobic hybrid materials,ZnO/SAMs(self-assembled monolayers)of ionic liquids(ILs)with different counter-anions(I-,BF4-,PF6-and Tf2N-),were synthesized and characterized.ZnO nanoparticles were first deposited on glass surfaces to produce roughness.Next,SAMs of fluorinated-alkyl-3-(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)-4,5-dihydro-imidazoliumiodide(abb.[C8Ftespim]I)were grafted onto these surfaces via-Si-O-covalent bonds using self-assembly technique.The Iion could be subsequently exchanged with BF4-,PF6-or Tf2N-through a simple aqueous anion-exchange reaction.The ZnO/ILs hybrid layers were characterized by atomic-force microscopy(AFM),scanning-electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Their wettability was estimated through the measurements of static and dynamic contact angles(CAs).Compared to corresponding films of ZnO/[C8Ftespim]I with CAs 140.7°±2.0°,films of ZnO/[C8Ftespim]PF6 and ZnO/[C8Ftespim]Tf2N showed CAs with 154.0°±2.0°and 152.0°±2.0°,respectively that remained for a long time.This result suggests that anion-exchange can afford superhydrophobic materials.In addition,the wettability of ZnO/[C8Ftespim]X hybrid layers can be reversibly switched by altering ultraviolet(UV)irradiation and dark storage,which shows a photo-induced reversible switch of wettability.The synergistic action of ZnO nanoparticles and SAMs of ILs produced light-anion dual-responsive superhydrophobic materials with ideal stability. | LI HongLiang XIN BingWei FENG Lei HAO JingCheng | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,7: | 2 |
| 4 | HSO_3-functionalized Br nsted acidic ionic liquids promote esterification of aromatic acid显示文摘Esterification of aromatic acid can be promoted via HSO3-functionalized Br nsted acidic ionic liquids (ILs). Under the optimum conditions, using 1-(3-sulfonic acid) propyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([MimC3SO3H][HSO4]) and 1-(4-sulfonic acid) butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([MimC 4 SO 3 H][HSO4 ]) as dual solvent-catalysts, the conversion of esterification of aromatic acid was determined to be more than 90%, indicating that HSO3-functionalized ILs show much better catalytic ability than those of non-functionalized ionic liquids. The separation of desired product was easily performed by extraction with diethyl ether and these HSO3-functionalized ILs could be reused 7 times after vacuum drying. | 6 | Efficient degradation of methyl orange via multilayer films of titanium dioxide and silicotungstic acid显示文摘We report layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly of TiO2 and H4 SiW12 O40 (SiW 12 ) multilayer film on silicon wafers and glass slides for photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO). The photocatalytic efficiency of the obtained multilayer film increases along with the decrease of pH and salt concentration of the incubation solution. The results show that MO can be almost removed in pH2.0 solution without salt addition in the first 60 min incubation when MO concentration is lower than 15 mg/L. Different salts show an apparent inhibitory effect on photocatalytic degradation of MO with the order of ZnCl2 >KCl> NaCl>LiCl. The TiO2 /SiW12 multilayer film maintains photocatalytic activity even after five degradation cycles. | 17 | Deep eutectic solvent strategy enables an octahedral Ni–Co precursor for creating high-performance NiCo_(2)O_(4) catalyst toward oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Deep eutectic solvents(DESs)have gained much attention in the fabrication of advanced nanoelectrocatalysts due to their amazing template function.However,their stabilizing function for easily hydrolyzed inorganic nanomaterials is rarely studied.Here,a DES-mediated strategy was reported to synthesize octahedral Ni–Co precursor(NiCo–NH_(3) complex),which could be directly transformed into NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanooctahedrons after thermal decomposition.The NiCo–NH_(3) precursor in octahedral shape was achieved with the DES-mediated crystallization in the choline chloride(ChCl)/glycerol.The ChCl/glycerol DES not only tailored the morphology of the as-prepared precursor by template effect but also inhibited its hydrolysis,ensuring the successful fabrication of octahedral NiCo–NH_(3) complex precursor with high yield.The NiCo–NH_(3) complex precursor was converted to well-defined NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanooctahedrons,where the calcination temperature and time were explored in detail.It revealed that DES could participate in the conversion process to control the morphology of calcination product.The resultant NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanooctahedrons demonstrated excellent electroactivity and remarkable durability for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).The present strategy not only offers an efficient OER electrocatalyst but also enriches the approaches of DESs in designing advanced nanocatalysts. | Chenyun Zhang Bingwei Xin Tingting Chen Hao Ying Zhonghao Li Jingcheng Hao | 2022 | Green Energy & Environment2022,7,6: | 1 |
