1PIV measurement on internal instantaneous flows of a centrifugal pump显示文摘In this paper,the internal flow field in a centrifugal pump working at the design flow rate operating condition has been measured using the particle image velocimetry(PIV)technique with the fluorescent particles and the index-matched fluid technology.The index-marching fluid with the same refractive index as the transparent material has been prepared and applied in the present test of pump with geometrical complex walls.The comparison between velocity distributions of PIV results both with and without fluorescent particles,as well as with and without index-marching fluid are conducted to find the differences.The DES(Detached Eddy Simulation)has been employed to calculate the three-dimensional unsteady turbulent flow in the pump to examine and to certify the PIV measurement results.The DES results of instantaneous flow velocity fields agree with PIV test results with fluorescent particles and index-marching fluid.It is necessary to perform the PIV measurement of pumps with fluorescent seeds and index-marching fluid in order to get exact results.The experimental results show the distributions of velocity,steamlines,and the principal Reynolds normal stress(PRNS)and the principal Reynolds shear stress(PRSS).WU YuLin LIU ShuHong YUAN HuiJing SHAO Jie 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,2:20
2Unsteady flow structures in the tip region for a centrifugal compressor impeller before rotating stall显示文摘To get an insight into the occurrence and the mechanism of flow unsteadiness in the tip region of centrifugal compressor impellers, the flow in Krain’s impeller is investigated by using both steady and unsteady RANS solver techniques. It is found that the flow unsteadiness on the pressure side is much stronger than that on the suction side. The periodical frequency of the unsteady flow is around half of the blade passing frequency. The originating mechanism of the flow unsteadiness is illustrated with the time-dependent tip leakage flow and blade loading at the tip region. Due to the blockage caused by the joint effects of broken-downed tip leakage vortex, separated fluids and tip leakage flow at downstream, a low pressure region is formed on the pressure side, consequently the blade loadings is altered. In turn, the changed blade loadings will alter the intensity of tip leakage flow. Such alternative behavior finally results in the periodic process. By comparing the calculated flow field in the cases of single-passage and four-passage models, it is confirmed that the investigated flow unsteadiness is confined in each single passage, as no phase differences are found in the model of four passages. This is different from the situation in axial compressor when the rotating instability is encountered. The flow unsteadiness only occurs at the working conditions with small mass flow rates, and the oscillation intensity will be enhanced with the decrease of mass flow rate. 3Component characteristics of organic matter in hydrothermal barnacle shells from Southwest Indian Ridge显示文摘In 2008–2009,hydrothermal barnacle and sediment samples were collected from the Southwest Indian Ridge during a survey of the China Ocean Mineral Resources R&D Association(COMRA).Samples were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS),revealing the main organic constituents of hydrothermal barnacle and sediment to be fatty acids and alkylbenzenes.N-alkanes which possessed obvious even carbon advantage were also detected in hydrothermal sediment.The high concentrations of aromatic compounds might be the result of macromolecular thermal alteration.Microorganism in the submarine hydrothermal ecosystem,especially those related to sulfur metabolism,might be the source of the high concentrations of fatty acids detected in these samples.In high temperature and high pressure hydrothermal environments,n-alkanes which possessed obvious even carbon advantage might originate from thermal alteration of carboxylic acids and other lipid compounds.HUANG Xin ZENG Zhigang CHEN Shuai YIN Xuebo WANG Xiaoyuan ZHAO Huijing YANG Baoju RONG Kunbo MA Yao 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:6

5Probabilistic analysis of embankment slope stability in frozen ground regions based on random finite element method显示文摘Prediction on the coupled thermal-hydraulic fields of embankment and cutting slopes is essential to the assessment on evolution of melting zone and natural permafrost table, which is usually a key factor for permafrost embankment design in frozen ground regions. The prediction may be further complicated due to the inherent uncertainties of material properties. Hence, stochastic analyses should be conducted. Firstly, Karhunen-Loeve expansion is applied to attain the random fields for hydraulic and thermal conductions. Next, the mixed-form modified Richards equation for mass transfer(i.e., mass equation) and the heat transport equation for heat transient flow in a variably saturated frozen soil are combined into one equation with temperature unknown. Furthermore, the finite element formulation for the coupled thermal-hydraulic fields is derived. Based on the random fields, the stochastic finite element analyses on stability of embankment are carried out. 6Idiopathic Orbital Inflammation Associated with Panuveitis in an Adult and a Review of the Literature显示文摘Purpose:To report an unusual case of idiopathic orbital inflammation associated with panuveitis. Case report:We report a case of a 47-year-old female with a history of uveitis who presented with abrupt and painful prop tosis with complete vision loss unresponsive to antibiotic therapy.B-scan ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging both showed retinal detachment and an orbital space-occupying mass. The patient underwent orbitotomy and the diagnosis of idiopathic orbital inflammation was confirmed by histopathology. Anterior uveitis is rarely seen in idiopathic orbital inflammation in adults. We report for the first time an unusual case of idiopathic orbital inflammation associated with panuveitis. Conclusion:Inflammation involving both the eye and the orbit is rarely seen in adults. 7DC-CIK联合化疗治疗非小细胞肺癌的临床疗效评价(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to evaluate the safety and therapeutic effects of autologous dendritic cells co-cultured with cytokine-induced killer cells (DC-CIK) combined with chemotherapy in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Methods: Fifty patients with advanced NSCLC (stages III to IV), who had received therapies in our Center (Department of Biotherapy, Affiliated to Cancer Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Taiyuan, China) from August 2008 to January 2010, were treated by DC-CIK + chemotherapy as the combined treatment group; fifty advanced NSCLC patients treated with chemotherapy at the same time served as controls. The immunologic function, short-term therapeutic effects, the 1-year survival rate, the life quality, the chemotherapy side effects were compared between the two groups, the safety and therapeutic effects of DC-CIK cells therapy were observed too. Results: There was no obvious change of subsets of T cells in peripheral blood before and after therapy in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group, and IFN-γ was improved after therapy in this group (P < 0.05); in chemotherapy alone group, the ratios of CD3+CD4+, CD3+CD8+, CD3-CD56+ cells and the secretion of IL-2, TNF-α decreased significantly after therapy (P < 0.05); the ratios of CD3+CD8+, CD3+CD56+ were improved after cell culture (P < 0.05). The disease control rate (DCR) of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group was higher than that in the chemotherapy alone group (78.0% vs 56.0%, P < 0.05); the 1-year survival rates of DC-CIK + chemotherapy group and chemotherapy alone group were 50% and 44% respectively, had no significant difference. Compared with chemotherapy alone group, the occurrence of chemotherapy side effects (including bone marrow suppression, nausea and vomiting, peripheral nerve toxicity) was less in the DC-CIK + chemotherapy group (P < 0.05). The physical and appetite were better in DC-CIK + chemotherapy group after therapy. 9Kidney injury molecule-1 is a potential receptor for SARS-CoV-2显示文摘COVID-19 patients present high incidence of kidney abnormalities,which are associated with poor prognosis and mortality.The identification of SARS-CoV-2 in the kidney of COVID-19 patients suggests renal tropism of SARS-CoV-2.However,whether there is a specific target of SARS-CoV-2 in the kidney remains unclear.Herein,by using in silico simulation,coimmunoprecipitation,fluorescence resonance energy transfer,fluorescein isothiocyanate labeling,and rational design of antagonist peptides,we demonstrate that kidney injury molecule-1(KIM1),a molecule dramatically upregulated upon kidney injury,binds with the receptor-binding domain(RBD)of SARS-CoV-2 and facilitates its attachment to cell membrane,with the immunoglobulin variable Ig-like(Ig V)domain of KIM1 playing a key role in this recognition.The interaction between SARS-CoV-2 RBD and KIM1 is potently blockaded by a rationally designed KIM1-derived polypeptide AP2.In addition,our results also suggest interactions between KIM1 Ig V domain and the RBDs of SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV,pathogens of two severe infectious respiratory diseases.Together,these findings suggest KIM1 as a novel receptor for SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses.We propose that KIM1 may thus mediate and exacerbate the renal infection of SARS-CoV-2 in a‘vicious cycle’,and KIM1 could be further explored as a therapeutic target.Chen Yang Yu Zhang Xia Zeng Huijing Chen Dong Yang Yuchen Chen Ziwei Shen Xiaomu Wang Xinran Liu Mingrui Xiong Hong Chen Kun Huang 2021Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,3:2
10THICKNESS-SHEAR AND THICKNESS-TWIST VIBRATIONS OF CIRCULAR AT-CUT QUARTZ RESONATORS显示文摘Exact solutions for free vibration frequencies and modes are obtained for thickness-shear and thickness-twist vibrations of unelectroded circular AT-cut quartz plates governed by the two-dimensional scalar differential equation derived by Tiersten and Smythe. Comparisons are made with experimental results and the widely-used perturbation solution by Tiersten and Smythe under the assumption of weak in-plane anisotropy. Our solution is found to be much closer to the experimental results than the perturbation solution. 11Effects of psycho-scene-drama on empathic ability of patients with chronic schizophrenia显示文摘Objective:The purpose of the current study was to determine the effects of psycho-scene drama on the empathic ability of patients with chronic schizophrenia.Methods:One hundred sixteen in-patients with chronic schizophrenia were randomly di-vided into study and control groups(n=58 cases each).The original anti-psychotic drugs were not changed in either group.In the study group,the therapy was combined with psychological scene drama with a treatment course of 3 months.Before and after treatment,the interpersonal reaction index scale(Chinese version[IRI-C]),negative syndrome scale(SANS),social function assessment scale for patients with mental diseases(SSPI),Rosenberg self-esteem scale(SES),the emotional-social loneliness inventory(ESLI),and the Texas social behavior inventory(TSBI)were utilized for measurements.Results:A comparison of the IRI-C total,PT,FS,and EC factor scores before and after treatment in the study group was significantly different(P<0.01);the PD factor score before and after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05).A comparison of the IRI-C total score and each factor score before and after treatment in the control group was not significantly different(P>0.05).A comparison of the IRI-C total,PT,and EC factor scores between the study and control groups after treatment was significantly different(P<0.05).A comparison of the FS factor score between the study and control groups before and after treatment was significantly different(P<0.01);the PD factor score was not significantly different(P>0.05).A comparison of the SANS total,SSPI total,SES total,and ESLI total scores between the two groups after treatment was significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion:The psycho-scene drama can improve the empathic ability of patients with chronic schizophrenia,improve the negative symptoms and social function,increase the self-esteem and self-confidence,and reduce the loneliness in social interactions.Hongmei Tian Weifang Niu Ping Liu Na Wang Huijing Yu Zhanhong Zhao 2014Family Medicine and Community Health2014,2,4:2

13Bifunctional copper modified graphitic carbon nitride catalysts for efficient tetracycline removal:Synergy of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation显示文摘In order to efficiently re move tetracycline in wastewater through the synergistic effect of adsorption and photocatalytic degradatio n,a series of novel composite materials(Cu doped g-C_(3)N_(4))were synthesized by two-pot hydrothermal method.It was found that the composite materials with optimized ratio(Cu/CN-1)displayed outstanding adsorption and photocatalytic performance as compared with pure g-C_(3)N_(4) photocatalyst.The removal efficiency of tetracycline(TC,50 mg/L)reached almost 99%within 30 min by Cu/CN-1 through the synergy of adsorption and photocatalysis under visible-light irradiation,which was the highest re moval efficiency ever reported.The adsorption kinetics and isotherms of TC on the Cu/CN-1 were well fitted with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir model,respectively.Moreover,it was confirmed that the main effective reactive groups were O_(2)^·and h^(+) in photocatalytic process.The Cu/CN-1 exhibited high stability and excellent reusability after five cycle experiments.Finally,the mechanism of synergy between Cu and g-C_(3)N_(4) was proposed:on the one hand,the decoration of Cu particles significantly increased the adsorption sites of Cu/CN-1 to tetracycline,on the other hand,the modification of Cu particles effectively inhibits charge recombination and broadens the visible light absorption range of the photocatalyst.This study provided a promising photocatalyst to be used for TC removal in the actual wastewater.Huijing Wang Jun Zhang Pu Wang Linlin Yin Yu Tian Junjing Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:2

15Targeting EZH1/2 induces cell cycle arrest and inhibits cell proliferation through reactivation of p57CDKN1C and TP53INP1 in mantle cell lymphoma显示文摘Objective: To explore the effect of dysregulation of epigenetic regulator EZH1 and EZH2 on the proliferation in MCL and the underlying mechanisms.Methods: In this study, we elucidated the role of EZH1 and EZH2 overexpression by immunohistochemistry and correlated them to clinical outcome in 41 MCL patients.Quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot were applied to confirm the level of EZH1 and EZH2 in well-characterized MCL cell lines which were compared to those of na?ve B cells.Then we manipulated the expression of EZH1 and EZH2 in MCL cells using CRISPR/Cas9 system to directly investigate their functional roles in MCL.We also evaluated the effect of two small molecule selective inhibitors, EPZ005687 and UNC1999, on MCL cell proliferation, cell cycle distribution and apoptosis in vitro.Finally, we performed RNA-sequencing(RNA-Seq) and Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP) assay to further gain insight into the underlying molecular mechanisms.Results: We found that EZH2 protein is overexpressed in approximately half of this cohort of MCL cases.More importantly, the overexpression of EZH2 is associated with poor OS in the patients.Nevertheless, simple EZH2 depletion in vitro has little impact on the viability of MCL cells, predominantly because of the consequent up-regulation of EZH1.Consistently, UNC1999, a dual EZH1/2 inhibitor, unlike the EZH2 selective inhibitor EPZ005687, exerts a potent inhibitory effect on MCL cells.Furthermore, we discover CDKN1C and TP53 INP1 as the two important cell cycle regulators, the expression of which are repressed by EZH1/2 mediated epigenetic regulation and are restored by EZH1/2 dual inhibition.Conclusions: Our study suggests that EZH2 participates in the pathogenesis of MCL which may serve as a potential biomarker for prognosis prediction.The dual inhibition of EZH1/2 is a promising therapeutic strategy for MCL.Wei Li Chengfeng Bi Yating Han Tian Tian Xianhuo Wang Huijing Bao Xiaoying Xu Xuhan Zhang Lu Liu Weiwei Zhang Hai Gao Huaqing Wang Huilai Zhang Bin Meng Xi Wang Kai Fu 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3:2
