Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. This survey will help in the optimization of the data-taking plan over the coming years, and provides physics motivation for the possible upgrade of BEPCⅡ to higher luminosity. | M.Ablikim M.N.Achasov P.Adlarson S.Ahmed M.Albrecht M.Alekseev A.Amoroso F.F.An Q.An Y.Bai O.Bakina R.Baldini Ferroli Y.Ban K.Begzsuren J.V.Bennett N.Berger M.Bertani D.Bettoni F.Bianchi J Biernat J.Bloms I.Boyko R.A.Briere L.Calibbi H.Cai X.Cai A.Calcaterra G.F.Cao N.Cao S.A.Cetin J.Chai J.F.Chang W.L.Chang J.Charles G.Chelkov Chen G.Chen H.S.Chen J.C.Chen M.L.Chen S.J.Chen Y.B.Chen H.Y.Cheng W.Cheng G.Cibinetto F.Cossio X.F.Cui H.L.Dai J.P.Dai X.C.Dai A.Dbeyssi D.Dedovich Z.Y.Deng A.Denig Denysenko M.Destefanis S.Descotes-Genon F.De Mori Y.Ding C.Dong J.Dong L.Y.Dong M.Y.Dong Z.L.Dou S.X.Du S.I.Eidelman J.Z.Fan J.Fang S.S.Fang Y.Fang R.Farinelli L.Fava F.Feldbauer G.Felici C.Q.Feng M.Fritsch C.D.Fu Y.Fu Q.Gao X.L.Gao Y.Gao Y.Gao Y.G.Gao Z.Gao B.Garillon I.Garzia E.M.Gersabeck A.Gilman K.Goetzen L.Gong W.X.Gong W.Gradl M.Greco L.M.Gu M.H.Gu Y.T.Gu A.Q.Guo F.K.Guo L.B.Guo R.P.Guo Y.P.Guo A.Guskov S.Han X.Q.Hao F.A.Harris K.L.He F.H.Heinsius T.Held Y.K.Heng Y.R.Hou Z.L.Hou H.M.Hu J.F.Hu T.Hu Y.Hu G.S.Huang J.S.Huang X.T.Huang X.Z.Huang Z.L.Huang N.Huesken T.Hussain W.Ikegami Andersson W.Imoehl M.Irshad Q.Ji Q.P.Ji X.B.Ji X.L.Ji H.L.Jiang X.S.Jiang X.Y.Jiang J.B.Jiao Z.Jiao D.P.Jin S.Jin Y.Jin T.Johansson N.Kalantar-Nayestanaki X.S.Kang R.Kappert M.Kavatsyuk B.C.Ke I.K.Keshk T.Khan A.Khoukaz P.Kiese R.Kiuchi R.Kliemt L.Koch O.B.Kolcu B.Kopf M.Kuemmel M.Kuessner A.Kupsc M.Kurth M.G.Kurth W.Kuhn J.S.Lange P.Larin L.Lavezzi H.Leithoff T.Lenz C.Li Cheng Li D.M.Li F.Li F.Y.Li G.Li H.B.Li H.J.Li J.C.Li J.W.Li Ke Li L.K.Li Lei Li P.L.Li P.R.Li Q.Y.Li W.D.Li W.G.Li X.H.Li X.L.Li X.N.Li X.Q.Li Z.B.Li H.Liang H.Liang Y.F.Liang Y.T.Liang G.R.Liao L.Z.Liao J.Libby C.X.Lin D.X.Lin Y.J.Lin B.Liu B.J.Liu C.X.Liu D.Liu D.Y.Liu F.H.Liu Fang Liu Feng Liu H.B.Liu H.M.Liu Huanhuan Liu Huihui Liu J.B.Liu J.Y.Liu K.Y.Liu Ke Liu Q.Liu S.B.Liu T.Liu X.Liu X.Y.Liu Y.B.Liu Z.A.Liu Zhiqing Liu Y.F.Long X.C.Lou H.J.Lu J.D.Lu J.G.Lu Y.Lu Y.P.Lu C.L.Luo M.X.Luo P.W.Luo T.Luo X.L.Luo S.Lusso X.R.Lyu F.C.Ma H.L.Ma L.L.Ma M.M.Ma Q.M.Ma X.N.Ma X.X.Ma X.Y.Ma Y.M.Ma F.E.Maas M.Maggiora S.Maldaner S.Malde Q.A.Malik A.Mangoni Y.J.Mao Z.P.Mao S.Marcello Z.X.Meng J.G.Messchendorp G.Mezzadri J.Min T.J.Min R.E.Mitchell X.H.Mo Y.J.Mo C.Morales Morales N.Yu.Muchnoi H.Muramatsu A.Mustafa S.Nakhoul Y.Nefedov F.Nerling I.B.Nikolaev Z.Ning S.Nisar S.L.Niu S.L.Olsen Q.Ouyang S.Pacetti Y.Pan M.Papenbrock P.Patteri M.Pelizaeus H.P.Peng K.Peters A.A.Petrov J.Pettersson J.L.Ping R.G.Ping A.Pitka R.Poling V.Prasad M.Qi T.Y.Qi S.Qian C.F.Qiao N.Qin X.P.Qin X.S.Qin Z.H.Qin J.F.Qiu S.Q.Qu K.H.Rashid C.F.Redmer M.Richter M.Ripka A.Rivetti V.Rodin M.Rolo G.Rong J.L.Rosner Ch.Rosner M.Rump A.Sarantsev M.Savrie K.Schoenning W.Shan X.Y.Shan M.Shao C.P.Shen P.X.Shen X.Y.Shen H.Y.Sheng X.Shi X.D Shi J.J.Song Q.Q.Song X.Y.Song S.Sosio C.Sowa S.Spataro F.F.Sui G.X.Sun J.F.Sun L.Sun S.S.Sun X.H.Sun Y.J.Sun Y.K Sun Y.Z.Sun Z.J.Sun Z.T.Sun Y.T Tan C.J.Tang G.Y.Tang X.Tang V.Thoren B.Tsednee I.Uman B.Wang B.L.Wang C.W.Wang D.Y.Wang H.H.Wang K.Wang L.L.Wang L.S.Wang M.Wang M.Z.Wang Wang Meng P.L.Wang R.M.Wang W.P.Wang X.Wang X.F.Wang X.L.Wang Y.Wang Y.F.Wang Z.Wang Z.G.Wang Z.Y.Wang Zongyuan Wang T.Weber D.H.Wei P.Weidenkaff H.W.Wen S.P.Wen U.Wiedner G.Wilkinson M.Wolke L.H.Wu L.J.Wu Z.Wu L.Xia Y.Xia S.Y.Xiao Y.J.Xiao Z.J.Xiao Y.G.Xie Y.H.Xie T.Y.Xing X.A.Xiong Q.L.Xiu G.F.Xu L.Xu Q.J.Xu W.Xu X.P.Xu F.Yan L.Yan W.B.Yan W.C.Yan Y.H.Yan H.J.Yang H.X.Yang L.Yang R.X.Yang S.L.Yang Y.H.Yang Y.X.Yang Yifan Yang Z.Q.Yang M.Ye M.H.Ye J.H.Yin Z.Y.You B.X.Yu C.X.Yu J.S.Yu C.Z.Yuan X.Q.Yuan Y.Yuan A.Yuncu A.A.Zafar Y.Zeng B.X.Zhang B.Y.Zhang C.C.Zhang D.H.Zhang H.H.Zhang H.Y.Zhang J.Zhang J.L.Zhang J.Q.Zhang J.W.Zhang J.Y.Zhang J.Z.Zhang K.Zhang L.Zhang S.F.Zhang T.J.Zhang X.Y.Zhang Y.Zhang Y.H.Zhang Y.T.Zhang Yang Zhang Yao Zhang Yi Zhang Yu Zhang Z.H.Zhang Z.P.Zhang Z.Q.Zhang Z.Y.Zhang G.Zhao J.W.Zhao J.Y.Zhao J.Z.Zhao Lei Zhao Ling Zhao M.G.Zhao Q.Zhao S.J.Zhao T.C.Zhao Y.B.Zhao Z.G.Zhao A.Zhemchugov B.Zheng J.P.Zheng Y.Zheng Y.H.Zheng B.Zhong L.Zhou L.P.Zhou Q.Zhou X.Zhou X.K.Zhou Xingyu Zhou Xiaoyu Zhou Xu Zhou A.N.Zhu J.Zhu J.Zhu K.Zhu K.J.Zhu S.H.Zhu W.J.Zhu X.L.Zhu Y.C.Zhu Y.S.Zhu Z.A.Zhu J.Zhuang B.S.Zou J.H.Zou 无 | 2020 | Chinese Physics C2020,44,4: | 517
A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. Further efforts should focus on identifying the etiology of the SARS-associated virus and ruling out conclusively the existence of otherpossible SARS-related pathogen(s). | QIN E'de ZHU Qingyu YU Man FAN Baochang CHANG Guohui SI Bingyin YANG Bao PENG Wenming JIANG Tao LIU Bohua DENG Yongqiang LIU Hong ZHANG Yu WANG Cui LI Yuquan GAN Yonghua LI Xiaoyu L Fushuang TAN Gang CAO Wuchun, YANG Ruifu Institute of Microbiology and Epidemiology, Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100071, China WANG Jian, LI Wei, XU Zuyuan, LI Yan, WU Qingfa, LIN Wei, CHEN Weijun, TANG Lin, DENG Yajun, HAN Yujun, LI Changfeng, LEI Meng, LI Guoqing, LI Wenjie, L Hong, SHI Jianping, TONG Zongzhong, ZHANG Feng, LI Songgang, LIU Bin, LIU Siqi, DONG Wei, WANG Jun, Gane K-S Wong, YU Jun & YANG Huanming* Beijing Genomics Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 101300 National Center for Genome Information, Beijing 101300, China | 2003 | Chinese Science Bulletin2003,48,10: | 121

Intestinal microbiota: a potential target for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis显示文摘Postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMO) is a prevalent metabolic bone disease characterized by bone loss and structural destruction, which increases the risk of fracture in postmenopausal women. Owing to the high morbidity and serious complications of PMO, many efforts have been devoted to its prophylaxis and treatment. The intestinal microbiota is the complex community of microorganisms colonizing the gastrointestinal tract. Probiotics, which are dietary or medical supplements consisting of beneficial intestinal bacteria, work in concert with endogenous intestinal microorganisms to maintain host health. Recent studies have revealed that bone loss in PMO is closely related to host immunity, which is influenced by the intestinal microbiota. The curative effects of probiotics on metabolic bone diseases have also been demonstrated. The effects of the intestinal microbiota on bone metabolism suggest a promising target for PMO management. This review seeks to summarize the critical effects of the intestinal microbiota and probiotics on PMO, with a focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenic relationship between bacteria and host, and to define the possible treatment options. | Xin Xu Xiaoyue Jia Longyi Mo Chengcheng Liu Liwei Zheng Quan Yuan Xuedong Zhou | 2017 | Bone Research2017,5,3: | 20

Cloning of a gene-edited macaque monkey by somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Cloning of macaque monkeys by somatic cell nucleus transfer(SCNT) allows the generation of monkeys with uniform genetic backgrounds that are useful for the development of non-human primate models of human diseases. Here, we report the feasibility of this approach by SCNT of fibroblasts from a macaque monkey(Macaca fascicularis), in which a core circadian transcription factor BMAL1 was knocked out by clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/Cas9 gene editing(see accompanying paper).Out of 325 SCNT embryos transferred into 65 surrogate monkeys, we cloned five macaque monkeys with BMAL1 mutations in both alleles without mosaicism, with nuclear genes identical to that of the fibroblast donor monkey. Further peripheral blood m RNA analysis confirmed the complete absence of the wild-type BMAL1 transcript. This study demonstrates that the SCNT approach could be used to generate cloned monkeys from fibroblasts of a young adult monkeys and paves the way for the development of macaque monkey disease models with uniform genetic backgrounds. | Zhen Liu Yijun Cai Zhaodi Liao Yuting Xu Yan Wang Zhanyang Wang Xiaoyu Jiang Yuzhuo Li Yong Lu Yanhong Nie Xiaotong Zhang Chunyang Li Xinyan Bian Mu-ming Poo Hung-Chun Chang Qiang Sun | 2019 | National Science Review2019,6,1: | 14
Insights into epigenetic patterns in mammalian early embryos显示文摘Mammalian fertilization begins with the fusion of two specialized gametes, followed by major epigenetic remodeling leading to the formation of a totipotent embryo.During the development of the pre-implantation embryo, precise reprogramming progress is a prerequisite for avoiding developmental defects or embryonic lethality, but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. For the past few years, unprecedented breakthroughs have been made in mapping the regulatory network of dynamic epigenomes during mammalian early embryo development, taking advantage of multiple advances and innovations in low-input genome-wide chromatin analysis technologies. The aim of this review is to highlight the most recent progress in understanding the mechanisms of epigenetic remodeling during early embryogenesis in mammals, including DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin accessibility and 3D chromatin organization. | Ruimin Xu Chong Li Xiaoyu Liu Shaorong Gao | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,1: | 13
Key residues of the receptor binding motif in the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 that interact with ACE2 and neutralizing antibodies显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the novel human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,is currently a major threat to public health worldwide. The viral spike protein binds the host receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)via the receptor-binding domain(RBD),and thus is believed to be a major target to block viral entry. Both SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV share this mechanism. Here we functionally analyzed the key amino acid residues located within receptor binding motif of RBD that may interact with human ACE2 and available neutralizing antibodies. The in vivo experiments showed that immunization with either the SARS-CoV RBD or SARS-CoV-2 RBD was able to induce strong clade-specific neutralizing antibodies in mice;however, the cross-neutralizing activity was much weaker, indicating that there are distinct antigenic features in the RBDs of the two viruses. This finding was confirmed with the available neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV or SARS-CoV-2.It is worth noting that a newly developed SARS-CoV-2 human antibody,HA001,was able to neutralize SARS-CoV-2,but failed to recognize SARS-CoV.Moreover,the potential epitope residues of HA001 were identified as A475 and F486 in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,representing new binding sites for neutralizing antibodies.Overall, our study has revealed the presence of different key epitopes between SARS-CoV and SARSCoV-2,which indicates the necessity to develop new prophylactic vaccine and antibody drugs for specific control of the COVID-19 pandemic although the available agents obtained from the SARS-CoV study are unneglectable. | Chunyan Yi Xiaoyu Sun Jing Ye Longfei Ding Meiqin Liu Zhuo Yang Xiao Lu Yaguang Zhang Liyang Ma Wangpeng Gu Aidong Qu Jianqing Xu Zhengli Shi Zhiyang Ling Bing Sun | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,6: | 13
Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants, such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents, near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination, with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants, and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions. In contrast, the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite, indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants, mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents, since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations. Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together, these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost, may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary, especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite. | Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,7: | 12
Dihydroartemisinin regulates the immune system by promotion of CD8^+T lymphocytes and suppression of B cell responses显示文摘Artemisia annua is an anti-fever herbal medicine first described in traditional Chinese medicine 1,000 years ago.Artemisinin, the extract of A.annua, and its derivatives(dihydroartemisinin(DHA),artemether, and artesunate)have been used for the treatment of malaria with substantial efficacy.Recently,DHA has also been tested for the treatment of lupus erythematosus, indicating that it may function to balance the immune response in immunocompromised individuals. In the present study, the regulatory effect of artemisinin on the murine immune system was systematically investigated in mice infected with two different protozoan parasites(Toxoplasma gondii and Plasmodium berghei). Our results revealed that the mouse spleen index significantly increased(spleen enlargement)in the healthy mice after DHA administration primarily due to the generation of an extra number of lymphocytes and CD8^+T lymphocytes in both the spleen and circulation.DHA could increase the proportion of T helper cells and CD8^+T cells,as well as decrease the number of splenic and circulatory B cells.Further,DHA could reduce the production of proinflammatory cytokines. Our study revealed that apart from their anti-parasitic activity, artemisinin and its derivatives can also actively modulate the immune system to directly benefit the host. | Ting Zhang Yiwei Zhang Ning Jiang Xu Zhao Xiaoyu Sang Na Yang Ying Feng Ran Chen Qijun Chen | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5: | 12
Elevated expression of mature miR-21 and miR-155 in cancerous gastric tissues from Chinese patients with gastric cancer显示文摘Objective:MicroRNA (miRNA) expression is deregulated in many types of human cancers. We sought to investigate the expression patterns of the miRNAs,miR-21,miR-145 and miR-155 in sporadic gastric cancer in a Chinese population. Methods:Total RNA was extracted from archived gastric cancer tissues and adjacent non-cancerous tissues from 20 pairs of paraffin-embedded specimens.Expression levels of miR-21,miR- 145 and miR-155 were detected by quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR using a specific stem-loop primer, with U6 as the internal reference gene. Results:The expression of miR-21 and miR-155 in gastric cancer samples was significantly higher than in paired non-cancerous samples(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in expression levels of miR-145 between cancerous and non-cancerous tissues(P>0.05).Conclusion:In Chinese sporadic gastric cancer tissues, the expressions of the oncogenic miR-21 and miR-155 were significantly up-regulated,while the expression of the tumor suppressor miR-145 was decreased, although this decrease was not statistically significant. Thus there is specificity in the miRNA expression pattern in gastric cancers in the Chinese population. | Li Liu Qi Chen Rensheng Lai Xiaobin Wu Xiaoyu Wu Fukun Liu Guohua Xu Yong Ji | 2010 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,3: | 11

Response of sediment yield to vegetation restoration at a large spatial scale in the Loess Plateau显示文摘The impact of vegetation coverage on erosion and sediment yield in the Loess Plateau has been extensively studied, but the research has been primarily based on observations from slope runoff plots or secondary forest regions;the scaling method remains unresolved when it is applied at a large spatial scale, and it is difficult to apply to regions with severe soil and water loss given the predominance of herbs and shrubs. To date, there is little data on the quantitative impact of changes to vegetation on sediment concentration at a large spatial scale. This paper is based on vegetation information from remote sensing images, measured rainfall and sediment data over nearly 60 years, and results from previous runoff and sediment variation research on the Yellow River. We introduce the concepts of a sediment yield coefficient and the percentage of effective vegetation and erodible area, analyze the impact of different vegetation conditions on the flood sediment concentration and sediment yield, and evaluate the effect of rainfall intensity on sediment yield under different vegetation conditions at the watershed scale. We propose models to evaluate the impact of vegetation on sediment yield in the loess gully hilly region, which are based on remote sensing data and support an application at a large spatial scale. The models can be used to assess sediment reduction that results from the current significant improvement of vegetation in the Loess Plateau. | LIU XiaoYan YANG ShengTian DANG SuZhen LUO Ya LI XiaoYu ZHOU Xu | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,8: | 11
Glycine attenuates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting myocardial apoptosis in rats显示文摘Glycine is a well-documented cytoprotective agent. However, whether it has a protective effect against myocar-dial ischemia-reperfusion injury in vivo is still unknown.By using an open-chest anesthetized rat model,we found that glycine reduced the infarct size by 21% in ischemia-reperfusion injury rats compared with that in the vehicle-treated MI/R rats. The left ventricular ejection fraction and fractional shortening were increased by 19.11% and 30.98%,respectively,in glycine-treated rats. The plasma creatine kinase levels in ischemia-reperfusion injury rats decreased following glycine treatment.Importantly, administration of glycine significantly inhibited apoptosis in post-ischemia-reperfusion myocardium, which was accompanied by suppression of phosphorylated p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase and c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase,as well as the Fas ligand. These results suggest that gly-cine attenuates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in vivo by inhibiting cardiomyocytes apoptosis. | Xiaozheng Zhong Xiaoyu Li Lingling Qiana Yiming Xu Yan Lu Jing Zhang Nan Li Xudong Zhu Jingjing Ben Qing Yang Qi Chen | 2012 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,5: | 10

Infiltrating lithium into carbon doth decorated with zinc oxide arrays for dendrite-free lithium metal anode显示文摘Lithium metal anode for batteries has attracted extensive attentions, but its application is restricted by the hazardous dendritic Li growth and dead Li formation. To address these issues, a novel Li anode is developed by infiltrating molten Li metal into conductive carbon cloth decorated with zinc oxide arrays. In carbonate-based electrolyte, the symmetric cell shows no short circuit over 1,500 h at 1 mA·cm^-2, and stable voltage profiles at 3 mA cm^-2 for ~ 300 h cycling. A low overpotential of ~ 243 mV over 350 cycles at a high current density of 10 mA·cm^-2 is achieved, compared to the seriously fluctuated voltage and fast short circuit in the cell using bare Li metal. Meanwhile, the asymmetric cell withstands 1,000 cycles at 10 C (1 C = 167 mAh·g^-1) compared to the 210 cycles for the cell using bare Li anode. The excellent performance is attributed to the well-regulated Li plating/stripping drive n from the formation of LiZn alloy on the wavy carb on fibers, resulting in the suppress!on of dendrite growth and pulverization of the Li electrode during cycling. | Xianshu Wang Zhenghui Pan Yang Wu Xiaoyu Ding Xujia Hong Guoguang Xu Meinan Liu Yuegang Zhang Weishan Li | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,3: | 8
OsCIPK7 point-mutation leads to conformation and kinase-activity change for sensing cold response显示文摘Calcineurin B-like interacting protein kinases(CIPKs) play important roles via environmental stress. However, less is known how to sense the stress in molecular structure conformation level. Here, an Os CIPK7 mutant via TILLING procedure with a point mutation in the kinase domain showed increased chilling tolerance, which could be potentially used in the molecular breeding. We found that this point mutation of Os CIPK7 led to a conformationalchange in the activation loop of the kinase domain, subsequently with an increase of protein kinase activity, thus conferred an increased tolerance to chilling stress. | Dajian Zhang Xiaoyu Guo Yunyuan Xu Hao Li Liang Ma Xuefeng Yao Yuxiang Weng Yan Guo Chun-Ming Liu Kang Chong | 2019 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,12: | 8
Glycerol aerobic oxidation to glyceric acid over Pt/hydrotalcite catalysts at room temperature显示文摘Glycerol(GLY) aerobic oxidation in an aqueous solution is one of the most prospective pathways in biomass transformation, where the supported catalysts based on noble metals(mainly Au, Pd, Pt) are most commonly employed. Herein, Pt nanoparticles supported on rehydrated MgxAl1-hydrotalcite(denoted as re-MgxAl1-LDH-Pt) were prepared via impregnation-reduction method followed by an in situ rehydration process, which showed high activity and selectivity towards GLY oxidation to produce glyceric acid(GLYA) at room temperature. The metal-support interfacial structure and catalyst basicity were modulated by changing the Mg/Al molar ratio of the hydrotalcite precursor, and the optimal performance was achieved on re-Mg6Al1-LDH-Pt with a GLY conversion of 87.6% and a GLYA yield of 58.6%, which exceeded the traditional activated carbon and oxide supports. A combinative study on structural characterizations(XANES, CO-FTIR spectra, and benzoic acid titration) proves that a higher Mg/Al molar ratio promotes the formation of positively charged Ptd+species at metal-support interface, which accelerates bond cleavage of a-C–H and improves catalytic activity. Moreover, a higher Mg/Al molar ratio provides a stronger basicity of support that contributes to the oxidation of terminal-hydroxyl and thus enhances the selectivity of GLYA. This catalyst with tunable metal-support interaction shows prospective applications toward transformation of biomass-based polyols. | Junbo Zhang Xiaolin Li Ming Xu Yusen Yang Yinwen Li Ning Liu Xiaoyu Meng Lifang Chen Shuxian Shi Min Wei | 2019 | Science Bulletin2019,64,23: | 8
Estimation of reproduction numbers of COVID-19 in typical countries and epidemic trends under different prevention and control scenarios显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has become a life-threatening pandemic. The epidemic trends in different countries vary considerably due to different policy-making and resources mobilization. We calculated basic reproduction number(R0)and the time-varying estimate of the effective reproductive number(Rt)of COVID-19 by using the maximum likelihood method and the sequential Bayesian method, respectively.European and North American countries possessed higher (R0)and unsteady Rt fluctuations, whereas some heavily affected Asian countries showed relatively low (R0)and declining Rt now.The numbers of patients in Africa and Latin America are still low,but the potential risk of huge outbreaks cannot be ignored.Three scenarios were then simulated, generating distinct outcomes by using SEIR(susceptible, exposed, infectious, and removed)model.First,evidence-based prompt responses yield lower transmission rate followed by decreasing Rt.Second, implementation of effective control policies at a relatively late stage,in spite of huge casualties at early phase, can still achieve containment and mitigation.Third, wisely taking advantage of the time-window for developing countries in Africa and Latin America to adopt adequate measures can save more people’s life. Our mathematical modeling provides evidence for international communities to develop sound design of containment and mitigation policies for COVID-19. | Chen Xu Yinqiao Dong Xiaoyue Yu Huwen Wang Lhakpa Tsamlag Shuxian Zhang Ruijie Chang Zezhou Wang Yuelin Yu Rusi Long Ying Wang Gang Xu Tian Shen Suping Wang Xinxin Zhang Hui Wang Yong Cai | 2020 | Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,5: | 8
