1Perovskite nanocrystals:synthesis,properties and applications显示文摘Halide perovskites have emerged as superstar materials for optoelectronic devices. Besides the fever of research in solar cells, these materials show great promise on light emitting diodes(LEDs), photodetectors and lasers as well. Rapid advances in bulk perovskite materials aroused universal interest for the development of perovskite nanocrystals, inspired by the great progress of classic colloidal semiconductor quantum dots. Perovskite nanocrystals have been synthesized based on solution process and exhibited high luminescence quantum yield, sharp emission peak, and emission color tunability. Significant progresses have been made about the application of perovskite nanocrystals for LED and lasers in recent years. 2Effect of cream, prepared with Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F and other four medicinals, on joint pain and swelling in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: a double-blinded, randomized, placebo controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effectiveness a cream onjoint pain and swelling in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). The cream, topically used, in was prepared with Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F(TwHF), Mangxiao(Nalrii Sulfas), Chuanxiong(Rhizoma Chuanxiong), stir-frying with liquid adjuvant Ruxiang(Olibanum), and stir-frying with liquid adjuvant Moyao(Myrrh).METHODS: Patients were 1∶1 randomized to addon TwHF cream twice a day or placebo for 4 weeks.The primary endpoint was achievement rate of20% improvement in American College of Rheuma-tology criteria(ACR20) at week 4. Secondary endpoints were ACR50, 28-joint count Disease Activity Score(DAS28) improvement and safety profiles.Statistical analyses were performed using intention to treat analysis(ITT) set.RESULTS: A total of 70 active RA patients were enrolled. At week 4, the ACR20 was 34.3%(12/35) in TwHF cream group and 11.4%(4/35) in placebo group(P = 0.015). Similarly, a higher ACR50 responder proportion was seen in TwHF cream group with 17.1%(6/35) comparing to it in placebo group with 2.9%(1/35)(P = 0.046). The TwHF cream group also had more improvement than the placebo group on DAS28-ESR(1.1 vs 0.5, P = 0.001), DAS28-CRP(1.4 vs 0.7, P = 0.001), tender joint count(5.5 vs2.6, P = 0.018), swollen joint count(3.5 vs 1.6, P =0.003) and Physician's global assessment(25.8 vs13.0, P = 0.002), as well as C-reactive protein(11.2 vs 2.7, P = 0.048). 3Effect of terrain on landscape patterns and ecological effects by a gradient-based RS and GIS analysis显示文摘Terrain is an important environment factor that plays a vital role in human development by influencing the spatial layout of land use patterns.The terrain niche index,combined with slope and elevation,can comprehensively present detailed information about spatial differences in terrain and is superior to single terrain factors.We applied remote sensing and geographical information system to terrain gradient,used the non-dimensional distribution index to examine spatial distribution characteristics of various landscape types,and analyzed the ecological effects of landscape were quantitatively on terrain gradients.Eco-environment quality(EEQ) was evaluated using the forestry operation area as the evaluation unit.The spatial distributions in various landscapes were significantly influenced by terrain factors,especially by bodies of water,cropland and residential land.The spatial distribution varied greatly in different terrain gradients for similar landscape types.The areas associated with good,intermediate and poor EEQ were occupied primarily by natural landscape,semi-natural and largely artificial landscapes,respectively.Wenfeng Gong Haibo Wang Xiaofeng Wang Wenyi Fan Philip Stott 2017Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,5:5
4Harnessing the native type I-B CRISPR-Cas for genome editing in a polyploid archaeon显示文摘Research on CRISPR-Cas(clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats-CRISPR associated protein) systems has led to the revolutionary CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technique. However, for most archaea and half of bacteria, exploitation of their native CRISPR-Cas machineries may be more straightforward and convenient. In this study, we harnessed the native type I-B CRISPR-Cas system for precise genome editing in the polyploid haloarchaeon Haloarcula hispanica. After testing different designs, the editing tool was optimized to be a single plasmid that carries both the self-targeting miniCRISPR and a 600-800 bp donor. Significantly, chromosomal modifications, such as gene deletion, gene tagging or single nucleotide substitution, were precisely introduced into the vast majority of the transformants. Moreover, we showed that simultaneous editing of two genomic loci could also be readily achieved by one step. 5Processing of a Novel Zn Alloy Micro-Tube for Biodegradable Vascular Stent Application显示文摘In recent years, zinc based alloys as a new biodegradable metal material aroused intensive interests.However, the processing of Zn alloys micro-tubes(named slender-diameter and thin-walled tubes) is very difficult due to their HCP crystal structure and unfavorable mechanical properties. This study aimed to develop a novel technique to produce micro-tube of Zn alloy with good performance for biodegradable vascular stent application. In the present work, a processing method that combined drilling, cold rolling and optimized drawing was proposed to produce the novel Zn–5Mg–1Fe(wt%) alloy microtubes. The micro-tube with outer diameter of 2.5 mm and thickness of 130 μm was fabricated by this method and its dimension errors are within 10 μm. The micro-tube exhibits a fine and homogeneous microstructure, and the ultimate tensile strength and ductility are more than 220 MPa and 20% respectively. In addition, the micro-tube and stents of Zn alloy exhibit superior in vitro corrosion and expansion performance. 11Study on hydrodynamic diffusion law of the swelling particle slurry in karst pipeline显示文摘The swelling particle grouting material has demonstrated remarkable plugging effectiveness in high-pressure and large-flow burst water within karst pipelines.Currently,current research on the rheolog-ical model,flow computation theory,and plugging mechanism of this material is lacking.The conven-tional grouting slurry diffusion process,using the liquid-liquid two-phase flow method,fails to accurately simulate high solubility slurry and particle swelling.To address these limitations,this study established a precise constitutive model to describe the swelling particle slurry diffusion process in dynamic water.Additionally,a coupling calculation method was proposed to analyze the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of viscosity during slurry diffusion by considering the migration of slurry and the changes in viscosity.To investigate the interaction between particle swelling and flow field changes,a Compu-tational Fluid Dynamics-Discrete Element Method(CFD-DEM)coupling model was developed for the diffusion of swelling particle slurry.It is demonstrated that slurry viscosity increases exponentially within the diffusion front as the particle swelling rate rises,and the drag force exhibits an intriguing behavior of initially increasing and then decreasing as the slurry flows through the pipeline.Further-more,the CFD-DEM coupling model proved to be more accurate in describing viscosity distribution and diffusion distance compared to the finite element solution.The primary objective of this paper is to reveal the plugging mechanism and provide theoretical support for the engineering application of the swelling particle grouting material.Bingchuan Cheng Haibo Li Guangming Pan Runhuai Deng Yu'an Gong Shujun Xu Kun Zhou Zhuo Zheng 2024Particuology2024,87,4:0
12Predicting triaxial compressive strength of high-temperature treated rock using machine learning techniques显示文摘The accurate prediction of the strength of rocks after high-temperature treatment is important for the safety maintenance of rock in deep underground engineering.Five machine learning(ML)techniques were adopted in this study,i.e.back propagation neural network(BPNN),AdaBoost-based classification and regression tree(AdaBoost-CART),support vector machine(SVM),K-nearest neighbor(KNN),and radial basis function neural network(RBFNN).A total of 351 data points with seven input parameters(i.e.diameter and height of specimen,density,temperature,confining pressure,crack damage stress and elastic modulus)and one output parameter(triaxial compressive strength)were utilized.The root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE)and correlation coefficient(R)were used to evaluate the prediction performance of the five ML models.The results demonstrated that the BPNN shows a better prediction performance than the other models with RMSE,MAE and R values on the testing dataset of 15.4 MPa,11.03 MPa and 0.9921,respectively.The results indicated that the ML techniques are effective for accurately predicting the triaxial compressive strength of rocks after different high-temperature treatments.Xunjian Hu Junjie Shentu Ni Xie Yujie Huang Gang Lei Haibo Hu Panpan Guo Xiaonan Gong 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,8:0

15Effect of traveling-wave magnetic field on dendrite growth of high-strength steel slab: Industrial trials and numerical simulation显示文摘The dendrite growth behavior of high-strength steel during slab continuous casting with a traveling-wave magnetic field was studied in this paper. The morphology of the solidification structure and composition distribution were analyzed. Results showed that the columnar crystals could deflect and break when the traveling-wave magnetic field had low current intensity. With the increase in current intensity, the secondary dendrite arm spacing and solute permeability decreased, and the columnar crystal transformed into an equiaxed crystal. The electromagnetic force caused by the traveling-wave magnetic field changed the temperature gradient and velocity magnitude and promoted the breaking and fusing of dendrites. Dendrite compactness and composition uniformity were arranged in descending order as follows:columnar-toequiaxed transition (high current intensity), columnar crystal zone (low current intensity), columnar-to-equiaxed transition (low current intensity), and equiaxed crystal zone (high current intensity). Verified numerical simulation results combined with the boundary layer theory of solidification front and dendrite breaking–fusing model revealed the dendrite deflection mechanism and growth process. 16A Numerical Method for Extrication Characteristics of TBM Cutter-Head with the HVC显示文摘Achieving highly efficient extrication of the tunnel boring machine(TBM)cutter-head driving system from the collapsed surrounding rock has become a key problem globally,and significant effort has been directed to improve TBM cutter-head extricating ability.In this study,the characteristics of a hydro-viscous device have been investigated to improve extricating performance of the TBM cutter-head.A numerical method based on an explicit pressure-linked equation is presented for computing the film parameters of the HVC,which is then applied to investigate extrication characteristics of a TBM cutter-head with a hydro-viscous clutch(HVC).The explicit pressure-linked equation is derived from the Navier–Stokes equations and the conservation equation,where boundary conditions are involved.The model of a cutter-head driving system with an HVC is established,and the extrication characteristics of the cutterhead driving system are analyzed and compared with three extrication strategies.The variation in extrication torque shows that the linear strategy or positive parabolic strategy are preferred for their relatively high extrication efficiency and low rigid impact,and the effects of throughflow rate on torque transmission are also investigated.The test rig of the TBM cutter-head driving system was set up to validate the numerical method and the model of a cutter-head driving system,and the feasibility of the proposed numerical method for researching the extrication of the TBM cutter-head is verified.Huasheng Gong Haibo Xie Huayong Yang 2019Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2019,32,6:0
