1Two RING-Finger Ubiquitin E3 Ligases Regulate the Degradation of SPX4, An Internal Phosphate Sensor, for Phosphate Homeostasis and Signaling in Rice显示文摘SPX-domain-containing proteins (SPXs) play an important role in inorganic phosphate (Pi) sensing,signaling,and transport in eukaryotes.In plants,SPXs are known to integrate cellular Pi status and negatively regulate the activity of Pi central regulators,the PHOSPATE STARVATION RESPONSE proteins (PHRs).The stability of SPXs,such as SPX4,is reduced under Pi-deficient conditions.However,the mechanisms by which SPXs are degraded remain unclear.In this study,using a yeast-twhybrid screen we iden.tified two RING-finger ubiquitin E3 ligases regulating SPX4 degradation,designated SDEL1 and SDEL2,which were post-transcriptionally induced by Pi starvation.We found that both SDELs were located in the nucleus and cytoplasm,had ubiquitin E3 ligase activity,and directly ubiquitinated the K^213 and K^299 lysine residues in SPX4 to regulate its stability.Furthermore,we found that PHR2,a Pi central regulator in rice,could compete with SDELs by interacting with SPX4 under Pi-sufficient conditions,which protected SPX4 from ubiquitination and degradation.Consistent with the biochemical function of SDEL1 and SDEL2,overexpression of SDEL1 or SDEL2 resulted in Pi overaccumulation and induced Pi-starvation signaling even under Pi-sufficient conditions.Conversely,their loss-of-function mutants displayed decreased Pi accumulation and reduced Pi-starvation signaling.Collectively,our study revealed that SDEL1 and SDEL2 facilitate the degradation of SPX4 to modulate PHR2 activity and regulate Pi homeostasis and Pi signaling in response to external Pi availability in rice.Wenyuan Ruan Meina Guo Xueqing Wang Zhenhui Guo Zhuang Xu Lei Xu Hongyu Zhao Haiji Sun Chengqi Yan Keke Yi 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,8:14
2Selective hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexene on Ru-based catalysts promoted with Mn and Zn显示文摘Ru-based catalysts promoted with Mn and Zn were prepared by a co-precipitation method. In liquid-phase hydrogenation of benzene, the Ru-Mn-Zn catalysts exhibited superior catalytic performance to the catalysts promoted with Zn or Mn alone. The optimum Mn/Zn molar ratio was determined to be 0.3. With the addition of 0.5 g NaOH, the Ru-Mn-Zn-0.3 catalyst, which was reduced at 150 ? C, afforded a cyclohexene selectivity of 81.1% at a benzene conversion of 60.2% at 5 min and a maximum cyclohexene yield of 59.9% at 20 min. 3Integrated multi-omics analysis of developing‘Newhall’orange and its glossy mutant provide insights into citrus fragrance formation显示文摘Sesquiterpene valencene is dominant in flavedo tissues of sweet oranges and imparts a unique woody aroma.However,the interaction between the biosynthetic pathways of valencene and other nutritional compounds is less studied.Sesquiterpenoids were significantly accumulated in a previously reported glossy mutant of orange(MT)than the wild type(WT),especially valencene and caryophyllene.In addition,we identified several other pathways with variations at both the transcriptional and metabolic levels in MT.It’s interesting to found those upregulated metabolites in MT,such as eukaryotic lipids,kaempferol and proline also showed strong positive correlation with valencene along with fruit maturation while those down-regulated metabolites,such as phenylpropanoid coumarins and most of the modified flavonoids exhibited negative correlation.We then categorized these shifted pathways into the‘sesquitepenoid-identical shunt’and the sesquitepenoid-opposite shunt’and confirmed the classification result at transcriptional level.Our results provide important insights into the connections between various fruit quality-related properties.Haoliang Wan Xiaoliang Zhang Ping Wang Haiji Qiu Yafei Guo Yunjiang Cheng Weiwei Wen 2022Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,4:2
4Crystal structure and optical performance analysis of a new type of persistent luminescence material with multi-functional application prospects显示文摘Persistent luminescence (PersL) materials,as environmentally friendly and energy-saving materials,have broad application prospects in many fields such as lighting,chemistry and even biomedicine.However,studies on the types,performances and mechanism of PersL materials are still insufficient,which significantly restricts their development and application.Under this consideration,we successfully synthesized a yellow PersL material CaSrGa_(4)O_(8)(CSG).The crystal structure was studied in detail through Rotation Electron Diffraction (RED) and Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD).What’s more,by co-doping Mn^(2+) and Yb^(3+),the afterglow brightness of CSG could be increased by nearly 20 times,and the afterglow duration could reach more than 6 h.It is worth mentioning that the samples also have excellent performances in mechanical luminescence (ML),photostimulated luminescence (PSL) and cathodoluminescence (CL),which was also investigated systematically.Finally,an anti-counterfeiting label was designed by the samples to reveal the potential of their application in anti-counterfeiting.The results showed that our research not only provided a new candidate PersL material for multifunctional applications,but also gave good help for studying the physical and chemical properties of CSG.Songsong Ding Pohua Chen Haijie Guo Peng Feng Yunpeng Zhou Yuhua Wang Junliang Sun 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:1

7Regulating off-centering distortion maximizes photoluminescence in halide perovskites显示文摘Metal halide perovskites possess unique atomic and electronic configurations that endow them with high defect tolerance and enable high-performance photovoltaics and optoelectronics.Perovskite light-emitting diodes have achieved an external quantum efficiency of over 20%.Despite tremendous progress,fundamental questions remain,such as how structural distortion affects the optical properties.Addressing their relationships is considerably challenging due to the scarcity of effective diagnostic tools during structural and property tuning as well as the limited tunability achievable by conventional methods.Here,using pressure and chemical methods to regulate the metal off-centering distortion,we demonstrate the giant tunability of photoluminescence(PL)in both the intensity(>20 times)and wavelength(>180 nm/GPa)in the highly distorted halide perovskites[CH_(3)NH_(3)GeI_(3),HC(NH_(2))2GeI_(3),and Cs Ge I_(3)].Using advanced in situ high-pressure probes and first-principles calculations,we quantitatively reveal a universal relationship whereby regulating the level of off-centering distortion towards 0.2 leads to the best PL performance in the halide perovskites.By applying this principle,intense PL can still be induced by substituting CH_(3)NH_(3)^(+)with Cs^(+)to control the distortion in(CH_(3)NH_(3))_(1-x)Cs_(x)GeI_(3),where the chemical substitution plays a similar role as external pressure.The compression of a fully substituted sample of CsGe I_(3)further tunes the distortion to the optimal value at 0.7 GPa,which maximizes the emission with a10-fold enhancement.This work not only demonstrates a quantitative relationship between structural distortion and PL property of the halide perovskites but also illustrates the use of knowledge gained from high-pressure research to achieve the desired properties by ambient methods.Xujie Lv Constantinos Stoumpos Qingyang Hu Xuedan Ma Dongzhou Zhang Songhao Guo Justin Hoffman Kejun Bu Xiaofeng Guo Yingqi Wang Cheng Ji Haijie Chen Hongwu Xu Quanxi Jia Wenge Yang Mercouri G.Kanatzidis Ho-Kwang Mao 2021National Science Review2021,8,9:1
