2Occurrence and bioaccumulation of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in sediments and paddy ecosystems of Liaohe River Basin, northeast China显示文摘Concentrations of 16 polybrominated diphenyl ether(PBDE) congeners were measured in river sediments, paddy soils and three species of paddy-field organisms(crab, loach and carp) collected from the Liaohe River Basin, northeastern China. The total contents of PBDEs(∑_(16)PBDEs) in sediments and paddy soils were in the ranges of 273.4–3246.3 pg/g dry weight(dw), and 192.1–1783.8 pg/g dw, respectively. BDE 209 was the dominant congener both in sediments and paddy soils. The concentrations of ∑_(16)PBDEs in sediments were significantly higher than those in the adjacent paddy soils, indicating a potential transport of PBDEs from river to paddy ecosystems via river water irrigation. The biota–soil accumulation factor(BSAF) was calculated as the ratio between the lipid-normalized concentration in paddyfield organisms and the total organic carbon-normalized concentration in paddy soil. The average BSAF values of ∑15PBDEs followed the sequence of crab(3.6) > loach(3.3) > carp(2.1). BDE 154 had the highest BSAF value, and a parabolic trend between BSAF values of individual PBDE congeners and their log KOWvalues was observed. 4Effects of slow-release urea fertilizers on urease activity, microbial biomass, and nematode communities in an aquic brown soil显示文摘A field experiment was carried out at the Shenyang Experimental Station of Ecology (CAS) in order to study the effects of slow-release urea fertilizers high polymer-coated urea (SRU1), SRU1 mixed with dicyandiamide DCD (SRU2), and SRU1 mixed with calcium carbide CaC2 (SRU3) on urease activity, microbial biomass C and N, and nematode communities in an aquic brown soil during the maize growth period. The results demonstrated that the application of slow-release urea fertilizers inhibits soil urease activity and increases the soil NH4+-N content.Soil available N increment could promote its immobilization by microorganisms. Determination of soil microbial biomass N indicated that a combined application of coated urea and nitrification inhibitors increased the soil active N pool. 5A preliminary investigation on genetic diversity of Sousa chinensis in the Pearl River Estuary and Xiamen of Chinese waters显示文摘In this study, the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region and the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene of stranded Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin (Sousa chinensis) samples from the Pearl River Estuary and Xiamen waters were sequenced and analyzed. The result of mtDNA control region revealed 34 variable sites and four unique haplotypes (named as A, B, C and D) identified among the total samples from these two water areas, and the most common haplotype (A) was shared by 75% of the dolphins sampled from the two water areas. The haplotypic diversity (h) was 0.455 and the nucleotide diversity (π) was 0.0088. The phylogenetic analysis showed that the hap- lotype A, C, and D were closely related, but the haplotype B (unique for XM01 from Xiamen) was far from the other three. By scanning cytochrome b fragments, two haplotypes (A and B) were identified in these two water areas, and the most common haplotype (A) was shared by 91.67% individuals, while XM01 from Xiamen as the only exception. 6Carbon-containing electrospun nanofibers for lithium-sulfur battery:Current status and future directions显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)have become promising next-generation energy storage technologies for electric vehicles and portable electronics,due to its excellent theoretical specific energy.However,the low conductivity of sulfur species,notorious lithium dendrites,the severe'shuttle effect'of polysulfides(LiPSs)and the inferior kinetic reaction for LiPSs/Li_(2)S conversion during discharge-charge have seriously hindered their practical application,and also pose potential safety hazards.Owing to their superior porous architectures,high specific surface areas,excellent structural designability,functional modifiability,abundant active sites and flexibility of carbon-containing electrospun nanofibers(CENFs),they exhibited the superior characteristics that can simultaneously solve the above issues.In this review,we summarize the recent progress and application of CENFs in LSBs.First,we provide a brief introduction to the structure and composition controlled of carbon nanofibers by electrospinning.We then review progress in recent developments of CENFs for LSBs including cathodes,anodes,separators,and interlayers.We focus on how to solve practical issues that arise when the CENFs are applied to various parts of LSBs,and the relevant working mechanisms are described,from high sulfur loading and Li dendrites suppression to LiPSs’confinement and conversion.Finally,we summarize and propose the existing challenges and future prospects of CENFs,for the design and architecture of electrochemical components in Li-S energy storage systems.Zhaoming Tong Liang Huang Wen Lei Haijun Zhang Shaowei Zhang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:4
7On the low reproducibility of cancer studies显示文摘INTRODUCTION Previous reports have suggested that close to 90% of cancer biology publications are irreproducible.The low number has recently been corroborated by five detailed replication studies in eLife,which have been commented on in Nature (Replication studies offer much more than technical details. Nature 2017;541:259-60).While the irreproducibility is often attributed to human factors,which are remediable,the reason might be biological and the irreproducibility is intrinsic to such studies. 8Infrared drying kinetics and moisture diffusivity modeling of pork显示文摘This study investigated the drying kinetics of pork slice in infrared drying condition.Drying temperature,slice thickness and initial moisture content were selected as influencing factors on the drying characteristics and drying rate of pork slice.Drying curves obtained from the experimental data were fitted to semi theoretical and/or empirical thin layer drying models.The effects of drying temperature and slice thickness on the model constants were evaluated by the multiple regression method.All the models were compared according to three statistical indexes,i.e.,root mean square error,chi-square and modeling efficiency.The slice thickness,drying temperature and initial moisture content have significant influences on the effective diffusivity coefficient of pork.The results showed that the drying rate of pork slices increased with the increases of drying temperature and initial moisture content.The decreases of slice thickness also led to an increase of drying rate.The Henderson and Pabis model can best describe the drying curves of pork.Ling Jing Teng Zhaosheng Lin Haijun Wen He 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,3:3

11Synthesis of sulfur doped C_(3)N_(4) with enhanced photocatalytic activity in molten salt显示文摘In this paper,sulfur doped g-C_(3)N_(4)(S-g-C_(3)N_(4))was successfully prepared at 500℃ for 3 h via a modified molten salt method using dicyandiamide as the main raw material,trithiocyanuric acid as the sulfur source and LiBreKCl as the reaction medium.The as-prepared SeCN5.0% sample(the mass ratio of trithiocyanuric acid to dicyandiamide was 5.0%)composed of irregular flakes showed a band gap of 1.83 eV,which was narrower than that(2.55 eV)of pristine g-C_(3)N_(4).The SeCN5.0% sample also exhibited an outstanding absorption capacity of visible light.Moreover,the photodegradation rate toward methylene blue and tetracycline were respectively 10 and 20 times as high as that of bulk g-C_(3)N_(4) prepared by conventional heating methods,confirming its superior photocatalytic performance.These results can be attributed to that the replacement of lattice nitrogen with sulfur atom tuned the electronic structure of g-C_(3)N_(4),improved the absorption of visible light,optimized the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs,and consequently enhanced the photocatalytic activity of g-C_(3)N_(4).Moreover,the trapping experiments implied that hole(ht)and superoxide radical($O2)were the main active species in the process of photodegradation.Keke Guan Junyi Li Wen Lei Honghong Wang Zhaoming Tong Quanli Jia Haijun Zhang Shaowei Zhang 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,5:2

13Molecular detection of Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola, and Burkholderia glumae in infected rice seeds and leaves显示文摘The polymerase chain reaction(PCR) is particularly useful for plant pathogen detection. In the present study, multiplex PCR and SYBR Green real-time PCR were developed to facilitate the simultaneous detection of three important rice pathogens, Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae, X. oryzae pv. oryzicola, and Burkholderia glumae. The unique PCR primer sets were designed from portions of a putative glycosyltransferase gene of X. oryzae pv. oryzae, an Avr Rxo gene of X. oryzae pv. oryzicola, and an internal transcribed spacer(ITS) sequence of B. glumae. Using a multiplex PCR assay, X. oryzae pv. oryzae, X. oryzae pv. oryzicola, and B. glumae were detected in one PCR reaction that contained the newly developed primer set mix. Using SYBR Green real-time PCR assays, X. oryzae pv. oryzae, X. oryzae pv. oryzicola, and B. glumae were detected at 1, 1, and 10 fg μL-1, respectively. 15Microstructure and Solid/Liquid Interface Evolutions of Directionally Solidified Fe-Al-Ta Eutectic Alloy显示文摘A modified Bridgman directional solidification technique was used to prepare Fe-Al-Ta eutectic in situ composites at different growth rates ranging from 6 to 80 gm/s. The directionally solidified Fe- Al-Ta eutectic composites are composed of two phases: Fe(Al,Ta) matrix phase, and Fe2Ta(Al) Laves phase. Solidification microstructure is affected by solidification rate. Microstructure of the Fe-Al-Ta eutectic alloy grown at 6.0 pm/s is broken-lamellar eutectic. Eutectic colonies are formed with the increase of the solidification rate. Microstructures are mainly composed of the lamellar or fibrous eutectic at the center of the colony and coarse lamellar eutectic zone at the boundary. Meanwhile, the inter-lamellar spacing (or the inter-rod spacing) is decreased. The spacing adjustments are also observed in Fe-Al-Ta eutectic alloy. 17Self‑Standing Lotus Root‑Like Host Materials for High‑Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries显示文摘The structure of sulfur host materials plays a key role in alleviating the shuttle effect,volume expansion and sluggish redox reaction of lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs).In this work,the well-designed multichannel carbon fibers decorated by carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and CoS nanoparticles(MCF/CoS/CNT)are synthesized and serve as the flexible sulfur host.The in situ grown CNTs network and embedded CoS enhance the overall conductivity of electrode and facilitate the redox reaction of sulfur-related electrochemistry.Benefitting from these merits,the MCF/CoS/CNT-based cathode exhibits a high reversible capacity of 927 mAh g^(−1) after 180 cycles with a low decay of 0.034%per cycle at 1.0 C.A superb areal capacity of 5.2 mAh cm^(−2) could be obtained under a high sulfur loading of 6.3 mg cm^(−2) and an ultralow electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 6.5μL mg^(−1) after 100 cycles.This work offers a promising approach to the reasonable design of flexible sulfur host for LSBs toward high energy density.Jin Luo Xuefeng Liu Wen Lei Quanli Jia Shaowei Zhang Haijun Zhang 2022Advanced Fiber Materials2022,4,6:1
