| 1 | Mechanical and dielectric properties of porous and wave-transparent Si3N4–Si3N4 composite ceramics fabricated by 3D printing combined with chemical vapor infiltration显示文摘Porous Si3N4–Si3N4 composite ceramics were fabricated by 3D printing combined with low-pressure chemical vapor infiltration(CVI).This technique could effectively improve the designability of porous Si3N4 ceramics and optimize the mechanical and dielectric properties.The effects of process parameters including the deposition time and heat treatment on the microstructure and properties of porous Si3N4–Si3N4 composite ceramics were studied.The study highlights following:When CVI processing time was increased from 0 to 12 h,the porosity decreased from68.65%to 26.07%and the density increased from 0.99 to 2.02 g/cm3.At the same time,the dielectric constant gradually increased from 1.72 to 3.60;however,the dielectric loss always remained less than0.01,indicating the excellent electromagnetic(EM)wave-transparent performance of porous Si3N4–Si3N4 composite ceramics.The maximum flexural strength of 47±2 MPa was achieved when the deposition time attained 6 h.After heat treatment,the porosity increased from 26.07%to 36.02%and the dielectric constant got a slight increase from 3.60 to 3.70 with the dielectric loss still maintaining lower than 0.01.It has been demonstrated that the porous Si3N4–Si3N4 composite ceramics are a promising structural and EM wave-transparent material suitable for high temperature service. | Zanlin CHENG Fang YE Yongsheng LIU Tianlu QIAO Jianping LI Hailong QIN Laifei CHENG Litong ZHANG | 2019 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2019,8,3: | 10 |
| 2 | Work-family conflict and job burn-out among Chinese doctors:the mediating role of coping styles显示文摘Background Burn-out among doctors threatens their own health, and that of their patients. To identify risk factors of the doctor burn-out is vital to improving their health and increasing the quality of healthcare services.This study aims to explore the relationship between workfamily conflict(WFC) and burn-out among Chinese doctors and the mediating role of coping styles in this relationship.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted in China, with a questionnaire packet which consisted of the Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory(CMBI), WFC Scale and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ). A total of 2530 doctors participated in the survey. Correlation analysis was performed to explore the relationship between CMBI, WFC and SCSQ scores. A linear regression model was set to determine the mediating role of coping styles on the relationship between WFC and burn-out.Results Doctors who had higher scores on work interfering with family conflict, reported more emotional exhaustion(r=0.514, P<0.001) and had a sense of accomplishment(r=-0.149, P<0.001). Simultaneously,family interfering with work(FIW) was positively associated with all dimensions of burn-out(r=0.213,0.504,0.088,respectively, P<0.001). Coping styles had partial, complete and even mediating effects on the relationship between WFC and burn-out among Chinese doctors.Conclusions WFC was correlated with burn-out, and coping style was a mediator in this relationship among Chinese doctors. | 6 | Chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis for the quality evaluation of Xinkeshu tablet显示文摘A simple, sensitive and accurate method based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with diode array detector (DAD) was developed and validated for systematic quality evaluation of one type of traditional Chinese medicine preparations named Xinkeshu (XKS) tablet. In this study, the chromatographic fingerprints of XKS tablet were developed first, 23 peaks were selected as the common peaks to evaluate the similarities among different batches of XKS samples, which were manufactured in a long time span of three years. Additionally, simultaneous quantification of six markers in XKS tablet, including Danshensu, Protocatechuic aldehyde, Puerarin, Daidzin, Salvianolic acid B and Daidzein, was performed. The validation results showed that the developed method was specific, accurate, precise and robust. The preliminary explanation on why a close similarity between fingerprints did not exactly mean similar contents of chemical components in samples was given. The contribution of each chromatographic peak to similarity was also evaluated. | 8 | Indirect somatic embryogenesis and regeneration of Fraxinus mandshurica plants via callus tissue显示文摘Somatic embryogenesis of Fraxinus mandshurica has the problems of low somatic embryo(SE) yield,unsynchronized SE development,and a high percentage of deformed SEs.We aimed to improve F.mandshurica SE production by synchronizing SE development,improving SE quality,and inducing root formation to obtain complete regenerated plants.Cotyledons of immature zygotic embryos of F.mandshurica were induced to form callus and then SEs.The SE induction percentage from explants differed among 32 mother trees,and the one with the highest SE induction percentage(29.8%) was used for further experiments.The highest callus induction percentage was94.2% on 1/2-strength Murashige and Skoog medium(MS1/2)supplemented with 0.15 mg·L^(-1) naphthalene acetic acid.The highest callus proliferation coefficient(240.5) was obtained on McCown's Woody Plant Medium containing 0.1 mg·L^(-1)6-benzyl adenine and 0.15 mg·L^(-1) 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.The highest number of SEs(1020.5 g~(-1) fresh weight) was obtained on MS1/2 medium supplemented with1 mg·L^(-1) 6-benzyladenine.The highest number of cotyledon embryos(397/g fresh weight) was obtained by incubating materials on medium containing 1 mg·L^(-1) abscisic acid and then applying a drying treatment.The cotyledon embryos were milky white,uniformly sized(average length 4.7 mm),and 80% of them were normal.The SE rooting percentage on 1/2 MS medium containing 0.01 mg·L^(-1) NAA was 37.5%.Overall,the germination percentage of SEs was 26.4%,and complete regenerated plants were obtained after transplanting and acclimation.These results provide more possibilities for the preservation and breeding of F.mandshurica. | Yang Liu Cheng Wei Hao Wang Xiao Ma Hailong Shen Ling Yang | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4: | 4 |
| 9 | Controllable synthesis of mesoporous carbon hollow microsphere twined by CNT for enhanced microwave absorption performance显示文摘The low dielectric loss of mesoporous carbon hollow microsphere(PCHM)requires high filler loading(higher than 20 wt%)when it is used as microwave absorbers.In order to decrease the filler loading of PCHM,a new strategy for synergistic increase of polarization and conductive loss was developed by twining PCHM with carbon nanotube(CNT)according to theoretic calculation.By the optimization of CNT content,the minimum reflection coefficient was -34.6 dB with a filler loading of only 10 wt%,which was much lower than -2.1 dB of PCHM.In addition,the effective absorption bandwidth was 3.6 GHz at X band with a thickness of 2.8 mm.The enhanced microwave absorption performance can be ascribed to the unique combination of hollow PCHM and one-dimensional CNT with higher graphitization degree,leading to increase of conductivity and heterogeneous interfaces.As a result,the conductive loss increased from 0.12 to 2.27 and polarization loss increased from 0.15 to 0.67,achieving the balance between attenuation ability and impedance match. | Minghang Li Xiaomeng Fan Hailong Xu Fang Ye Jimei Xue Xiaoqiang Li Laifei Cheng | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,59,24: | 4 |
| 10 | Ecological principle meets cancer treatment: treating children with acute myeloid leukemia with low-dose chemotherapy显示文摘Standard chemotherapy regimens for remission induction of pediatric acute myeloid leukemia(AML) are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. We performed a cohort study to determine the impact of reducing the intensity of remission induction chemotherapy on the outcomes of selected children with AML treated with a low-dose induction regimen plus granulocyte colony stimulating factor(G-CSF)(low-dose chemotherapy(LDC)/G-CSF). Complete response(CR) after two induction courses was attained in 87.0%(40/46) of patients receiving LDC/G-CSF. Post-remission therapy was offered to all patients, and included standard consolidation and/or stem cell transplantation. During the study period, an additional 94 consecutive children with AML treated with standard chemotherapy(SDC) for induction(80/94(85.1%) of the patients attained CR after induction Ⅱ, P = 0.953) and post-remission. In this non-randomized study, there were no significant differences in 4-year event-free(67.4 vs. 70.7%;P = 0.99)and overall(70.3 vs. 74.6%, P = 0.69) survival in the LDC/G-CSF and SDC cohorts, respectively. After the first course of induction, recovery of white blood cell(WBC) and platelet counts were significantly faster in patients receiving LDC/G-CSF than in those receiving SDC(11.5 vs. 18.5 d for WBCs(P < 0.001);15.5 vs. 22.0 d for platelets(P < 0.001)). To examine the quality of molecular response, targeted deep sequencing was performed. Of 137 mutations detected at diagnosis in 20 children who attained hematological CR after two courses of LDC/G-CSF(n = 9) or SDC(n = 11), all of the mutations were below the reference value(variant allelic frequency <2.5%) after two courses, irrespective of the treatment group. In conclusion, children with AML receiving LDC/G-CSF appear to have similar outcomes and mutation clearance levels, but significantly lower toxicity than those receiving SDC. | 11 | An Equivalent Substitute Strategy for Constructing 3D Ordered Porous Carbon Foams and Their Electromagnetic Attenuation Mechanism显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)ordered porous carbon is generally believed to be a promising electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing material.However,most research works targeted performance improvement of 3D ordered porous carbon,and the specific attenuation mechanism is still ambiguous.Therefore,in this work,a novel ultra-light egg-derived porous carbon foam(EDCF)structure has been successfully constructed by a simple carbonization combined with the silica microsphere template-etching process.Based on an equivalent substitute strategy,the influence of pore volume and specific surface area on the electromagnetic parameters and EMW absorption properties of the EDCF products was confirmed respectively by adjusting the addition content and diameter of silica microspheres.As a primary attenuation mode,the dielectric loss originates from the comprehensive effect of conduction loss and polarization loss in S-band and C band,and the value is dominated by polarization loss in X band and Ku band,which is obviously greater than that of conduction loss.Furthermore,in all samples,the largest effective absorption bandwidth of EDCF-3 is 7.12 GHz under the thickness of 2.13 mm with the filling content of approximately 5 wt%,covering the whole Ku band.Meanwhile,the EDCF-7 sample with optimized pore volume and specific surface area achieves minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of−58.08 dB at 16.86 GHz while the thickness is 1.27 mm.The outstanding research results not only provide a novel insight into enhancement of EMW absorption properties but also clarify the dominant dissipation mechanism for the porous carbon-based absorber from the perspective of objective experiments. | Meng Zhang Hailong Ling Ting Wang Yingjing Jiang Guanying Song Wen Zhao Laibin Zhao Tingting Cheng Yuxin Xie Yuying Guo Wenxin Zhao Liying Yuan Alan Meng Zhenjiang Li | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,10: | 3 |
| 12 | Role of hydrogen peroxide in stress-induced programmed cell death during somatic embryogenesis in Fraxinus mandshurica显示文摘We examined how reactive oxygen species, in the form of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), affect osmotic stress–induced programmed cell death during somatic embryogenesis from cotyledon explants of Manchurian ash (Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.). We found that substantial osmotic stress was essential for Manchurian ash somatic cells to obtain embryogenic competence. The explant cells displayed hallmarks of programmed cell death, chromatin condensation, and DNA fragmentation to oligonucleotides during somatic embryogenesis. Increasing concentrations of plant growth regulators and sucrose in the medium increased osmotic stress thereby inducing H2O2 accumulation in the explant cells. We found that H2O2 concentration was significantly decreased in explant cells when the induction medium was modified, i.e., when reducing the concentration of sucrose, which reduces the osmotic pressure of the medium, or by withdrawing plant growth regulators at mid-culture. These treatments also decreased the proportion of explant cells undergoing programmed cell death. Accordingly, a decreased rate of somatic embryo induction was observed. These results show that PCD occurred during tissue browning and death of some explant cells during somatic embryogenesis in F. mandshurica. | 13 | Effects of a nitric oxide donor and nitric oxide scavengers on Sorbus pohuashanensis embryo germination显示文摘The effects of an exogenous nitric oxide donor(sodium nitroprusside, SNP), a NO scavenger 2-phenyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxode(PTIO) and carboxy-PTIO potassium salt(c PTIO) on the embryo germination of Sorbus pohuashanensis were studied in a petri dish test. SNP at 0.5–5 mmol L-1 increased germination percentage, mean time to germination, germination index and germination energy compared with the control to different degrees. Treatment with 2 mmol L-1 SNP improved germination most significantly; embryo germination percentage for mother tree 1(91.11%) and mother tree 2(64.44%) were much higher than the control. In addition,excessive SNP levels did not enhance embryo germination.Combined treatment with SNP and an NO scavenger delayed embryo germination. Treatment with c PTIO inhibited embryo germination; germination percentage was 42.22% and was lower than that of the control. | 14 | Identification and functional characterization of the AGO1 ortholog in maize显示文摘Eukaryotic Argonaute proteins play primary roles in mi RNA and si RNA pathways that are essential for numerous developmental and biological processes. However, the functional roles of the four Zm AGO1 genes have not yet been characterized in maize(Zea mays L.). In the present study, Zm AGO1 a was identified from four putative Zm AGO1 genes for further characterization. Complementation of the Arabidopsis ago1-27 mutant with Zm AGO1 a indicated that constitutive overexpression of Zm AGO1 a could restore the smaller rosette, serrated leaves, later flowering and maturation, lower seed set, and darker green leaves at late stages of the mutant to the wild-type phenotype. The expression profiles of Zm AGO1 a under five different abiotic stresses indicated that Zm AGO1 a shares expression patterns similar to those of Argonaute genes in rice, Arabidopsis, and wheat.Further, variation in Zm AGO1 a alleles among diverse maize germplasm that resulted in several amino acid changes revealed genetic diversity at this locus. The present data suggest that Zm AGO1 a might be an important AGO1 ortholog in maize. | 15 | Response of soil CO_2 efflux to precipitation manipulation in a semiarid grassland显示文摘Soil CO_2efflux(SCE) is an important component of ecosystem CO_2 exchange and is largely temperature and moisture dependent, providing feedback between C cycling and the climate system. We used a precipitation manipulation experiment to examine the effects of precipitation treatment on SCE and its dependences on soil temperature and moisture in a semiarid grassland. Precipitation manipulation included ambient precipitation, decreased precipitation(- 43%), or increased precipitation(+ 17%). The SCE was measured from July2013 to December 2014, and CO_2 emission during the experimental period was assessed.The response curves of SCE to soil temperature and moisture were analyzed to determine whether the dependence of SCE on soil temperature or moisture varied with precipitation manipulation. The SCE significantly varied seasonally but was not affected by precipitation treatments regardless of season. Increasing precipitation resulted in an upward shift of SCE–temperature response curves and rightward shift of SCE–moisture response curves,while decreasing precipitation resulted in opposite shifts of such response curves. These shifts in the SCE response curves suggested that increasing precipitation strengthened the dependence of SCE on temperature or moisture, and decreasing precipitation weakened such dependences. Such shifts affected the predictions in soil CO_2 emissions for different precipitation treatments. When considering such shifts, decreasing or increasing precipitation resulted in 43 or 75% less change, respectively, in CO_2 emission compared with changes in emissions predicted without considering such shifts. | 18 | A rolled Mg-8Al-0.5Zn-0.8Ce alloy with high strength-ductility synergy via engineering high-density low angle boundaries显示文摘Developing low-cost rolled Mg alloys with both high strength and ductility is desirable,while the improved strength is generally accompanied with decreased ductility.Here,by using rotated hard-plate rolling(RHPR)with a total thickness reduction of~85%,we obtained a Mg-8Al-0.5Zn-0.8Ce(wt.%,AZ80-0.8Ce)alloy with a high strength-ductility synergy,i.e.,the yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and elongation-to-failure(EF)are~308 MPa,~360 MPa and~13.8%,respectively.It reveals that the high YS is mainly originated from grain boundary strengthening(~212 MPa),followed by dislocation strengthening(~43 MPa)and precipitation hardening(~25 MPa).It is found that a relatively homogeneous fine grain structure containing a large fraction(~62%)of low angle boundaries(LABs)is achieved in the RHPRed alloy,which is benefit for the high tensile EF value.It demonstrates that LABs have important contributions to strengthening and homogenizing tensile deformation process,leading to the simultaneous high strength and high EF.Our work provides a new insight for fabrication of low-cost high performance Mg alloys with an excellent strength-ductility synergy. | Xiao Ma Min Zha Siqing Wang Yi Yang Hailong Jia Dan Gao Cheng Wang Huiyuan Wang | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,10: | 1 |

| 20 | Various admixtures to mitigate the long-term strength retrogression of Portland cement cured under high pressure and high temperature conditions显示文摘In order to investigate the problem of long-term strength retrogression in oil well cement systems exposed to high pressure and high temperature(HPHT)curing conditions,various influencing factors,including cement sources,particle sizes of silica flour,and additions of silica fume,alumina,colloidal iron oxide and nano-graphene,were investigated.To simulate the environment of cementing geothermal wells and deep wells,cement slurries were directly cured at 50 MPa and 200?C.Mineral compositions(as determined by X-ray diffraction Rietveld refinement),water permeability,compressive strength and Young’s modulus were used to evaluate the qualities of the set cement.Short-term curing(2e30 d)test results indicated that the adoption of 6 m m ultrafine crystalline silica played the most important role in stabilizing the mechanical properties of oil well cement systems,while the addition of silica fume had a detrimental effect on strength stability.Long-term curing(2e180 d)test results indicated that nano-graphene could stabilize the Young’s modulus of oil well cement systems.However,none of the ad-mixtures studied here can completely prevent the strength retrogression phenomenon due to their inability to stop the conversion of amorphous to crystalline phases. | Jiankun Qin Xueyu Pang Ashok Santra Guodong Cheng Hailong Li | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,1: | 1 |
