Interferon-armed RBD dimer enhances the immunogenicity of RBD for sterilizing immunity against SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has caused a global crisis, urgently necessitating the development of safe,efficacious,convenient-to-store,and low-cost vaccine options.A major challenge is that the receptor-binding domain(RBD)-only vaccine fails to trigger long-lasting protective immunity if used alone for vaccination. | Shiyu Sun Yueqi Cai Tian-Zhang Song Yang Pu Lin Cheng Hairong Xu Jing Sun Chaoyang Meng Yifan Lin Haibin Huang Fang Zhao Silin Zhang Yu Gao Jian-Bao Han Xiao-Li Feng Dan-Dan Yu Yalan Zhu Pu Gao Haidong Tang Jincun Zhao Zheng Zhang Jiaming Yang Zhenxiang Hu Yang-Xin Fu Yong-Tang Zheng Hua Peng | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,9: | 7
Solvability identification and feasibility restoring of divergent optimal power flow problems显示文摘Optimal power flow (OPF) has been considered as an important problem in power systems. Although several excellent algorithms, such as Newton method and interior point method, have been developed to solve the OPF problem, divergences still often occur. Till now, few works have focused on the solv- ability identification and feasibility restoring of divergent OPF problems. In this paper, we propose a systematic approach to identify the solvability of divergent OPF problems, and restore a feasible solu- tion for unsolvable OPF cases. The proposed approach consists of two phases: solvability identifica- tion phase (SIP) and feasibility restoring phase (FRP). In SIP, a novel methodology based on problem transformation and active set is adopted to identify the solvability of divergent OPF problem. If a fea- sible solution can be obtained in SIP, then this divergent OPF problem is solvable, otherwise, FRP is used to restore a feasible or optimal solution by relaxing soft constraints and load shedding. In FRP, a feasibility restoring model is presented, and a priority-listing strategy of restoring actions is proposed to restore the unsolvable OPF problems. Numerical studies indicate that the proposed SIP and FRP are reliable to diagnose the solvability of the divergent OPF problems, give an index to measure the un- solvability, and restore an unsolvable OPF case. | QuanYuan Jiang ZhenXiang Han | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,4: | 3
Growth, structure and upconversion mechanisms of Ba_2ErCl_7 crystal显示文摘The methods to grow a novel upconversion crystal Ba2ErCI7 are reported in this note. Ba2ErCI7 material was synthesized with Er2O3, BaCI2-2H2O and NH4CI by using a so-called 'direct synthesis method'. High quality Ba2ErCI7 single crystals with size up to 4 mm×8 mm×15 mm were grown by using the Czochralski and the Bridgman methods. Intense yellow-green luminescence was detected when the crystal was pumped by an 803 laser diode (LD). Transmittance spectrum was measured by using HITACH U-3500 spectrophotometer at room temperature for the first time, in which one can see that the transmittance is high in the range from 350 to 1 600 nm and the cut-off wavelength of the crystal was 230 nm. The upconversion mechanisms were discussed. | HAN Jianru, ZHOU Guangyong, ZHANG Shujun, CHENG Zhenxiang & CHEN HuanchuState Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, Institute of Crystal Materials of Shandong University, Jinan 250100, China | 2000 | Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,11: | 2

Sequential feasible optimal power flow in power systems显示文摘A sequential feasible optimal power flow (OPF) method is developed for large-scale power systems. One of the outstanding features of this method is that it can maintain feasibility for both equality and inequality constraints during iterations. In sequential feasible OPF, every iteration consists of two stages: Objective improving stage and feasibility enforcing stage. Analytical basis for each stage is provided. Numerical studies on various power systems up to 2383 buses indicate that the proposed feasible approach is promising. Compared with the conventional OPF algorithms, such as interior point method, the proposed sequential feasible OPF approach can be terminated at any iteration and yield a feasible operating point simultaneously. | ZhenXiang Han QuanYuan Jiang YiJia Cao | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,2: | 1

A reduced-order method for estimating the stability region of power systems with saturated controls显示文摘In a modern power system, there is often large difference in the decay speeds of transients. This could lead to numerical problems such as heavy simulation burden and singularity when the traditional methods are used to estimate the stability re- gion of such a dynamic system with saturation nonlinearities. To overcome these problems, a reduced-order method, based on the singular perturbation theory, is suggested to estimate the stability region of a singular system with saturation nonlinearities. In the reduced-order method, a low-order linear dynamic system with saturation nonlinearities is constructed to estimate the stability region of the primary high-order system so that the singularity is eliminated and the estimation process is simplified. In addition, the analytical foundation of the reduction method is proven and the method is validated using a test power system with 3 buses and 5 machines. | GAN DeQiang XIN HuanHai QIU JiaJu HAN ZhenXiang | 2007 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2007,50,5: | 1
Single-nucleus transcriptomic profiling of multiple organs in a rhesus macaque model of SARS-CoV-2 infection显示文摘Infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) causes diverse clinical manifestations and tissue injuries in multiple organs. However, cellular and molecular understanding of SARS-CoV-2 infection-associated pathology and immune defense features in different organs remains incomplete. Here, we profiled approximately 77 000single-nucleus transcriptomes of the lung, liver, kidney, and cerebral cortex in rhesus macaques(Macaca mulatta) infected with SARS-CoV-2 and healthy controls. Integrated analysis of the multiorgan dataset suggested that the liver harbored the strongest global transcriptional alterations. We observed prominent impairment in lung epithelial cells, especially in AT2 and ciliated cells, and evident signs of fibrosis in fibroblasts. These lung injury characteristics are similar to those reported in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Furthermore, we found suppressed MHC class I/II molecular activity in the lung, inflammatory response in the liver, and activation of the kynurenine pathway, which induced the development of an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Analysis of the kidney dataset highlighted tropism of tubule cells to SARS-CoV-2, and we found membranous nephropathy(an autoimmune disease) caused by podocyte dysregulation. In addition, we identified the pathological states of astrocytes and oligodendrocytes in the cerebral cortex, providing molecular insights into COVID-19-related neurological implications. Overall, our multi-organ single-nucleus transcriptomic survey of SARS-CoV-2-infected rhesus macaques broadens our understanding of disease features and antiviral immune defects caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection, which may facilitate the development of therapeutic interventions for COVID-19. | Qiang Ma Wenji Ma Tian-Zhang Song Zhaobo Wu Zeyuan Liu Zhenxiang Hu Jian-Bao Han Ling Xu Bo Zeng Bosong Wang Yinuo Sun Dan-Dan Yu Qian Wu Yong-Gang Yao Yong-Tang Zheng Xiaoqun Wang | 2022 | Zoological Research2022,43,6: | 0
Effects of hand clasping and arm folding on academic performance显示文摘BACKGROUND:Similar to handedness, hand clasping and arm folding are also lateral preferences. Previous studies showed a variation frequency for hand clasping and arm folding among different populations. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between patterns of lateral preferences (hand clasping or arm folding) and academic performance of middle school students. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTINGS: Cross-sectional investigation. The data were collected in the Beijing Zhongguancun High School in Beijing in May 2007. Data analysis was performed in the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University during June to July 2007. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 102 senior-grade students from Beijing Zhongguancun High School, including 58 males and 44 females, were selected for this study. METHODS: Different forms of hand clasping and arm folding were recorded. More specifically, hand clasping was either right-thumb-top or left-thumb-top, and arm folding was either right-arm-top or left-arm-top. Students with congruent preference used right-thumb-top-right-arm-top or left-thumb-top-left-arm-top, and incongruent preference was displayed by right-thumb-top-left-arm-top or left-thumb-top-right-arm-top. Academic performances were collected from midterm exams in six subjects (Chinese, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), with a total points = 100 for each. A three-way (hand clasping, arm folding, and sex) ANOVA was performed to determine the effect on academic performances. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The relationship between hand clasping, arm folding, sex, and academic performance of students. RESULTS: (1) There was no significant difference in distribution frequency between right-thumb-top and left-thumb-top (P > 0.05), or between right-arm-top and left-arm-top (P > 0.05). The distribution frequency difference between boys and girls was not significant for any subtype (P > 0.05). (2) hand clasping had no significant main effect on any of the six subjects (P > 0.05). The right-arm-top students received significantly higher points in Chinese, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, compared with the left-arm-top students (P < 0.05). A significant sexual difference was detected in academic performance in Chinese and English; girls had higher scores than the boys (P < 0.05). The students with congruent preference scored higher in English, compared with those with incongruent preference (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The arm folding form of lateral preference had a significant effect on academic performance of middle school students, implying that this human laterality index is of great functional importance. | Zhenxiang Zang Zaizhu Han Yufeng Zang | 2008 | Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,8: | 0
