2Correlations Between Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms,Cognitive Dysfunction,and Postmortem Brain Pathology in Alzheimer's Disease Among Han Chinese显示文摘In this study, the distribution of five Alzheimer's disease(AD)-related single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in the Han population was examined in combination with the evaluation of clinical cognition and brain pathological analysis. The associations among SNPs,clinical daily cognitive states, and postmortem neuropathological changes were analyzed in 110 human brains from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences/Peking Union Medical College(CAMS/PUMC) Human Brain Bank.APOE ?4(OR = 4.482, P = 0.004), the RS2305421 GG genotype(adjusted OR = 4.397, P = 0.015), and the RS10498633 GT genotype(adjusted OR = 2.375,P = 0.028) were associated with a higher score on the ABC(Ab plaque score, Braak NFT stage, and CERAD neuritic plaque score) dementia scale. 3Alleviating effects and mechanisms of action of large-leaf yellow tea drinking on diabetes and diabetic nephropathy in mice显示文摘Our previous study found that large-leaf yellow tea(LYT)had interesting hypoglycemic activity in high-fat diet-induced obese mice and highly safety in healthy mice. To study the anti-diabetic potential of LYT, the present study further investigated the preventive effects and mechanisms of action of LYT administration on diabetes and diabetic nephropathy in high-fat diet plus streptozotocin-induced diabetic mice. Results showed that LYT infusions(1/100 and 1/50, m/V)as drinking fluid for 4 weeks reduced diabetic polydipsia and polyuria, enhanced glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity, and lowered fasting blood glucose level. The underlying mechanisms involve downregulation of gluconeogenesis(lower protein levels of TXNIP and FBP and enzyme activity of FBP), upregulation of lipid catabolism(higher protein levels of CPT-1α and PPARα), downregulation of lipogenesis(lower protein level of SREBP-1), and modification of the structure and abundance of gut microbiota to modulate metabolic homeostasis. Moreover, LYT administration prevented diabetic nephropathy, possibly due to reduced glucose-caused osmotic diuresis and lowered levels of renal PKC-β2, NLRP3 as well as membrane PKC-α, AQP2 and glycosylated AQP2 proteins. Taken together, LYT exhibits the activities in alleviating diabetic symptoms, ameliorating glucose and lipid dysmetabolism and fatty liver, and preventing diabetic nephropathy in diabetic mice. 5In-depth understanding of ionic liquid assisted perovskite film formation mechanism for two-step perovskite photovoltaics显示文摘Ionic liquids(ILs)have been widely applied in the one-step fabrication of perovskite with noticeable enhancement in the device performance.However,in-depth mechanism of ionic-liquid-assisted perovskite film formation is not well understood for also important two-step perovskite fabrication method,with better control of crystallization behavior.In this work,we introduced ionic liquid methylammonium formate(MAFa)into organic salt to produce perovskite film via a two-step method.Systematic investigations on the influence of MAFa on the perovskite thin film formation mechanism were performed.Ionic liquid is shown to assist lowering the perovskite formation enthalpy upon the density functional theory(DFT)calculation,leading to an accelerated crystallization process evidenced by in-situ UV-Vis absorption measurement.A gradient up-down distribution of ionic liquid has been confirmed by timeof-flight SIMS.Importantly,besides the surface passivation,we found the HCOO-can diffuse into the perovskite crystals to fill up the halide vacancies,resulting in significant reduction of trap states.Uniform perovskite films with significantly larger grains and less defect density were prepared with the help of MAFa IL,and the corresponding device efficiency over 23%was obtained by two-step process with remarkably improved stability.This research work provides an efficient strategy to tune the morphology and opto-electronic properties of perovskite materials via ionic-liquid-assisted two-step fabrication method,which is beneficial for upscaling and application of perovskite photovoltaics.Fei Wang Patrick Wai-Keung Fong Zhiwei Ren Hai-Lun Xia Kang Zhou Kai Wang Jiajie Zhu Xiaoxi Huang Xiao-Yuan Liu Hao Wang Yumeng Shi Haoran Lin Quanyao Zhu Gang Li Hanlin Hu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:0

7Laser Powder Bed Fusion Processing of Soft Magnetic Fe–Ni–Si Alloys: Effect of Hot Isostatic Pressing Treatment显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)-processed high-silicon steel has great advantages in freely designed electric engines,and various studies have been conducted in this field.However,the analysis of both the mechanical and magnetic properties,focusing on the multiscale microstructure under as-fabricated and heat-treated conditions,which is indispensable for industrial applications,has not been performed.In this study,an Fe–Ni–Si sample was fabricated using the L-PBF process.Subsequently,the following hot isotropic pressing(HIPing)process was employed as a post heat treatment step for the Fe–Ni–Si alloys.The effects of HIPing on the microstructure were investigated,focusing on the metastable stable phase transformation in the Fe–Ni–Si system.X-ray diffraction results showed single-phase fccγ(Fe,Ni)in the L-PBF-processed samples before and after HIPing.Moreover,the acicular Ni/Si-rich structure(formed in the as-fabricated L-PBF sample because of its high cooling rates)transformed to the equilibrium austenite,Ni3Si,and FeNi3 phases during HIPing.After HIP,the compressive modulus and strength increased from 11 GPa and 650 MPa to approximately 18 GPa and 900 MPa,respectively.The magnetic properties were evaluated via a hysteresis loop,and the coercivity increased from 1.8 kA/m and to 2.9 kA/m after the HIPing process.Nan Kang Qiuge Li Mohamed El Mansori Bo Yao Fuhuan Ma Xin Lin Hanlin Liao 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(Additive Manufacturing Frontiers)2022,1,4:0
8Meta-analysis of tau genetic polymorphism and sporadic progressive supranuclear palsy susceptibility显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To quantitatively evaluate the association between tau genetic polymorphism (H1 and H2) and susceptibility to sporadic progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). DATA SOURCES: Relevant Medical Subject Heading terms and text words were used to identify articles from MEDLINE (1966/2010-07), EMBASE (1984/2010-07), and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (1979/2010), as well as references of the retrieved articles. STUDY SELECTION: The selected articles met the following criteria: sporadic PSP case group and healthy control group, as well as genotype frequency (H1/H1 and H1/H2 + H2/H2) in cases and controls. Genotype distribution in the control groups was tested using the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium (HWE). Articles irrelevant to HWE were excluded, and a forest plot was performed to combine all selected articles with Review Manager (Version 5.0). MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The summary odds ratios and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (95%CI) for tau polymorphism (H1/H1 and H1/H2 + H2/H2) between sporadic PSP case and healthy control groups were estimated using the fixed effects model to assess whether tau genetic polymorphism is associated with sporadic PSP susceptibility. RESULTS: According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 16 articles, which included 1 337 sporadic PSP cases and 2 073 controls, were used in the study. Two articles were excluded because of deviation from HWE in the control groups. The combined result, based on all studies, showed a significant difference in genotype distribution between cases and controls: H1H1 vs. H1H2 + H2H2 (odds ratio (OR) = 4.98, 95%CI: 3.97–6.23, P < 0.01). Stratifying for geographic distribution of PSP, sporadic PSP cases exhibited a significantly higher frequency of H1H1 genotypes than controls in the United States (OR = 4.07, 95%CI: 3.16–5.25, P < 0.01) and Europe (OR = 8.60, 95%CI: 5.05–14.64, P < 0.01). 9Ionic liquid engineering enabled in-plane orientated 1D perovskite nanorods for efficient mixed-dimensional perovskite photovoltaics显示文摘Mixed-dimensional engineering of perovskite material has been demonstrated as a facile and promising strategy to improve both photovoltaic performance and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).In this study,we report an in-plane preferred orientation of 1D perovskite induced by an ionic liquid(IL)of 1-(3-cyanopropyl)-3-methylimidazolium chloride(CPMIMCl)for the first time via sequential deposition approach,leading to a mixed dimensional perovskite thin films.The generated one-dimensional(1D)CPMIMPbI3 with in-plane orientation resides at the grain boundaries of three-dimensional(3D)perovskite can be appreciably observed from the morphology level,leading to creation of high-quality films with large grain size with more efficient defect passivation.Moreover,the dispersion of IL in the bulk phase of perovskite material allows for the formation of 1D perovskite for multiple level passivation to inhibit non-radiative recombination and optimize carrier transport.This IL engineering strategy not only yields a mixed-dimensional perovskite heterostructure with in-plane orientation 1D perovskite nano-rods but also significantly improves the opto-electronic property with suppressed trap states.As a result,the CPMIMCl-treated PSCs show an enhanced photovoltaic performance with a champion power conversion efficiency(PCE)up to 24.13%.More importantly,benefiting from the hydrophobicity of formed 1D perovskite and defects suppression,the corresponding PSC demonstrates an excellent longterm stability and maintain 97.1%of its pristine PCE at 25C under 50%RH condition over 1000 h.This research provides an innovative perspective for employing the low dimensional engineering to optimize the performance and stability of photovoltaic devices.Fei Wang Dawei Duan Kang Zhou YZBXue Xiao Liang Xianfang Zhou Chuangye Ge Chao Zhou Jin Xiang Jiajie Zhu Quanyao Zhu Haoran Lin Yumeng Shi Yonghua Chen Gang Li Hanlin Hu 2023InfoMat2023,5,8:0
