| 1 | 2022 Chinese national clinical practice guideline on Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment显示文摘Background:Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection is an infectious disease with a prevalence rate of up to 50%worldwide.It can cause indigestion,gastritis,peptic ulcer,and gastric cancer.H.pylori eradication treatment can effectively control disease progression and reduce the risk of the above conditions.However,the escalating trend of antibiotic resistance presents a global challenge for H.pylori eradication.We aim to provide guidance on pharmacological treatment of H.pylori infection.Methods:This clinical practice guideline is developed following the World Health Organization’s recommended process,adopting Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation in assessing evidence quality,and utilizing Evidence to Decision framework to formulate clinical recommendations,minimizing bias and increasing transparency of the clinical practice guideline development process.We used the Reporting Items for practice Guidelines in HealThcare(RIGHT)statement and The Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation Ⅱ(AGREE Ⅱ)as reporting and conduct guides to ensure the guideline’s completeness and transparency.Results:Though decreasing in developed countries,the prevalence of H.pylori remains high in developing countries,causing a major public health burden.This clinical practice guideline contains 12 recommendations concerning pharmacological treatment for H.pylori eradication.Among them,it is worth highlighting that bismuth preparations are inexpensive,safe,and effective,consequently making bismuth quadruple therapy a preferred choice for initial and rescue treatment.In empirical treatment,high-dose dual therapy is equally effective compared with bismuth quadruple therapy.Conclusions:The 12 recommendations in this clinical practice guideline are formed with consideration for stakeholders’values and preferences,resource use,feasibility,and acceptability.Recommendations are generalizable to resource limited settings with similar antibiotic resistance pattern as China,and lower middle-income countries facing comparable sociological and technical challenges.Registration:Guidelines International Network(GIN)website,http://gffzz8d0dcdd112684267spn5uxf5op50p656u.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/node/69996. | Liya Zhou Hong Lu Zhiqiang Song Bin Lyu Ye Chen Jiyao Wang Jun Xia Zhan Zhao on behalf of Helicobacter Pylori Study Group of Chinese Society of Gastroenterology | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,24: | 5 |
| 2 | Efficacy of Carbamazepine Combined with Botulinum Toxin A in the Treatment of Blepharospasm and Hemifacial Spasm显示文摘Purpose:To observe the efficacy of the combined treatment of carbamazepine and botulinum toxin A for blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm. Methods:Fifty-eight patients with either blepharospasm or hemifacial spasm were randomly divided into treatment and control groups. In the treatment group, 30 patients were administered with local intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin A and oral carbamazepine 100 mg/time,3 times/day for 60 days. Twenty-eight subjects in the control group under-went local intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin A only. Results:After combined treatment, the complete remission rate was 90%, which was significantly higher than that of the of the control group (67.9% , P<0.05,χ2 =4.733). However, no statistical significance was noted regarding the duration of therapeutic effects between the treatment group (range 14~40 weeks; 19.2 weeks on average) and control group (range 12~36 weeks; 18 weeks on average). | 8 | The E3 ubiquitin ligase CSIT1 regulates critical sterility-inducing temperature by ribosome-associated quality control to safeguard two-line hybrid breeding in rice显示文摘Two-line hybrid breeding can fully utilize heterosis in crops.In thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS)lines,low critical sterility-inducing temperature(CSIT)is vital to safeguard the production of two-line hybrid seeds in rice(Oryza sativa),but the molecular mechanism determining CSIT is unclear.Here,we report the cloning of CSIT1,which encodes an E3 ubiquitin ligase,and show that CSIT1 modulates the CSIT of thermo-sensitive genic male sterility 5(tms5)-based TGMS lines through ribosome-associated quality control(RQC).Biochemical assays demonstrated that CSIT1 binds to the 80S ribosomes and ubiquitinates abnormal nascent polypeptides for degradation in the RQC process.Loss of CSIT1 function inhibits the possible damage of tms5 to the ubiquitination system and protein translation,resulting in enhanced accumulation of anther-related proteins such as catalase to suppress abnormal accumulation of reactive oxygen species and premature programmed cell death in the tapetum,thereby leading to a much higher CSIT in the tms5-based TGMS lines.Taken together,our findings reveal a regulatory mechanism of CSIT,providing new insights into RQC and potential targets for future two-line hybrid breeding. | Guoqing Peng Minglong Liu Liya Zhu Wenlong Luo Qinghua Wang Mumei Wang Huiqiong Chen Ziliang Luo Yueping Xiao Yongjie Zhang Haona Hong Zhenlan Liu Lingyan Zhou Guoqiang Guo Yingxiang Wang Chuxiong Zhuang Hai Zhou | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,10: | 0 |
