2Detrital zircon U-Pb ages of Late Cenozoic sediments from the Yangtze delta:Implication for the evolution of the Yangtze River显示文摘Detrital zircon grains of Late Cenozoic sediments dated back to ca.3.6 Ma from core DY03 in the Yangtze delta were dated by LA-ICP-MS,in order to investigate the sedimentary provenance and to find some clue for the evolution of the Yangtze River.Most of the detrital zircon U-Pb ages are distributed at 100 300 Ma,350 550 Ma,600 1000 Ma,1400 2000 Ma and 2200 2800 Ma,which correspond well with the main tectonic and magmatic events in the Yangtze drainage.The detrital zircon age patterns show distinct difference between the 3 samples below 189.8 m and other 6 above 189.8 m.43% 55% zircons in the 3 samples below 189.8 m fall within Cretaceous,while ages from 150 to 2800 Ma are distributed with no obvious peaks,which indicate the sedimentary provenance may be limited to the lower Yangtze drainage.The 6 samples above 189.8 m show similar age patterns,and the ages are relatively evenly distributed,indicating the sedimentary provenance broadened distinctly.All 6 samples deposited later than ca.3.2 Ma show age information from the upper Yangtze drainage (including the Emeishan large igneous province),indicating that the Three Gorges may have already been cut through by then.JIA JunTao ZHENG HongBo HUANG XiangTong WU FuYuan YANG ShouYe 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,15:20

5Molecular geochemical characteristics of gas source rocks from the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation indicate transgression events in the Sichuan Basin显示文摘The geochemical characteristics of saturated and aromatic hydrocarbons from different formations and lithologies provide ob-vious evidence for transgressions that occurred during Upper Triassic Xujiahe stage in Sichuan Basin with a great impact on the source input and depositional environment.A clear dual peak distribution for normal alkanes and obvious abundant com-pounds sourced from bacteria and algae in whole oil gas chromatogram indicates the abundance of lower organisms input.The ratio of Pr/Ph is low,ranging from 0.33 to 0.86 with an average of 0.60,quite different from Pr/Ph >2.0 for coal measures in swamp environment,representing source rocks from saline lake or marine facies.In the gas source rocks extracts,abundant β-carotane,-carotane,and their degradated series were detected in the whole oil chromatogram,indicating a reducing envi-ronment.The concentrations of methyl steranes and dinosteranes are high.The content of polycyclic aromatic sulfur heterocy-cles(PASH) is relatively higher in aromatic fraction and the assemblage of fluorene,dibenzofuran,and dibenzothiophene is different from the typical saline lake and the regular swamp facies source rocks,manifesting the transgression effects on gas source rocks.ZHANG Min HUANG GuangHui LI HongBo HU GuoYi ZHANG ShuiChang 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,8:10
6Identification of the surgical indication line for the Denonvilliers’fascia and its anatomy in patients with rectal cancer显示文摘Background:The high rate of urogenital dysfunction after traditional total mesorectal excision(TME)has caused doubts among scholars on the standard fashion of dissection.We have proposed the necessity to preserve the Denonvilliers’fascia in patients with rectal cancer.However,how to accurately locate the Denonvilliers’fascia is unclear.This study aimed to explore anatomical features of the Denonvilliers’fascia by comparing autopsy findings and observations of surgical videos so as to propose a dissection method for the preservation of pelvic autonomic nerves during rectal cancer surgery.Methods:Five adult male cadaver specimens were dissected,and surgical videos of 135 patients who underwent TME for mid-low rectal cancer between January 2009 and February 2019 were reviewed to identify and compare the structure of the Denonvilliers’fascia.Results:The monolayer structure of the Denonvilliers’fascia was observed in 5 male cadaver specimens,and it was located between the rectum,the bottom of the bladder,the seminal vesicles,the vas deferens,and the prostate.The Denonvilliers’fascia was originated from the rectovesical pouch(or rectum-uterus pouch),down to fuse caudally with the rectourethral muscle at the apex of the prostate,and fused to the lateral ligaments on both sides.The fascia was thinner on the midline with a thickness of 1.06±0.10 mm.The crown shape of the Denonvilliers’fascia was slightly triangular,with a height of approximately 5.42±0.16 cm at midline.Nerves were more densely distributed in front of the Denonvilliers’fascia than behind,especially on both sides of it.Under laparoscopic view,the Denonvilliers’fascia was originated at the lowest point of the rectovesical pouch(or rectum-uterus pouch),with a thickened white line which was a good mark for identifying the Denonvilliers’fascia.Conclusion:Identification of the surgical indication line for the Denonvilliers’fascia could help us identify the Denonvilliers’fascia,and it would improve our ability to protect the pelvic autonomic function of patients undergoing TME for rectal cancer.Jianglong Huang Jing Liu Jiafeng Fang Zongheng Zeng Bo Wei Tufeng Chen Hongbo Wei 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,1:10
7Aerobic granules cultivated and operated in continuous-flow bioreactor under particle-size selective pressure显示文摘A novel method based on the selective pressure of particle size(particle-size cultivation method, PSCM) was developed for the cultivation and operation of aerobic granular sludge in a continuous-flow reactor, and compared with the conventional method based on the selective pressure of settling velocity(settling-velocity cultivation method, SVCM). Results indicated that aerobic granules could be cultivated in continuous operation mode by this developed method within 14 days. Although in the granulation process, under particle-size selective pressure, mixed liquor suspended solids(MLSS) in the reactor fluctuated greatly and filamentous bacteria dominated the sludge system during the initial operation days, no obvious difference in profile was found between the aerobic granules cultivated by PSCM and SVCM. Moreover, aerobic granules cultivated by PSCM presented larger diameter, lower water content and higher specific rates of nitrification, denitrification and phosphorus removal, but lower settling velocity. Under long term operation of more than 30 days, aerobic granules in the continuous-flow reactor could remain stable and obtain good chemical oxygen demand(COD), NH4+-N, total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorus(TP) removal. 8Spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites in coastal China:Sea level changes, geomorphic evolution and human adaption显示文摘The East China coastal plain is one of the most important Neolithic culture areas in China, where rich archaeological sites including those producing the earliest domesticated rice are observed. It is also a place where landscape has experienced dramatic evolution during the Holocene when both sea level and climate changed, such that it is an ideal place for studying human-environment interaction. This study investigated over 2000 sites of pre-history and Shang and Zhou Dynasties, with 655 of which being Neolithic ages, by using DEM and GIS methods. The results suggest that the spatial and temporal distribution of Neolithic sites has largely been controlled by landscape evolution(particularly changes in coastal line), which ultimately governed by sea level changes. During early Holocene, Neolithic sites sparsely distributed in the intermountain basins of east Zhejiang Province, far from the influence of ocean. Over the period of 9–7 ka, the coastal plain(including the shelf) was largely submerged,only the feet of low hills to the south and southwest of the study area, and islands protruding the estuary, cradled limited number of settlements with characteristic 'maritime components'. At about 7 ka, sea level rise decelerated prominently, while sediments supply in the drainage remained high value, the combination of which led to land formation and propagation. Vast space during this period facilitated the growth of settlements in both size and number. 9La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 composite photocatalysts with high photocatalytic performance in removal of high concentration dye显示文摘A series of La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 composite photocatalysts were fabricated via hydrothermal–calcination process. The as-prepared products were intensively characterized by some physicochemical characterizations like N_2 physical adsorption, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), UV–Vis diffuse reflectance(UV–Vis DRS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),photoelectrochemical measurements, and photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy. The characterization results indicated that La and Ce doping induced obvious crystal phase transformation in Bi_2O_3, from monoclinic to tetragonal phase. La and Ce codoping also gave rise to the obvious synergetic effects, e.g., the lattice contraction of Bi_2O_3, the decrease of crystal size and the increase of surface area. The photocatalytic performance of the prepared catalysts was evaluated by removal of dye acid orange II with high concentration under visible light irradiation. Results showed that La/Ce-codoped Bi_2O_3 displayed much higher photocatalytic performance than that of bare Bi_2O_3, single La or Ce doped Bi_2O_3 samples. 10Oxyvanite V3O5:A new intercalation-type anode for lithium-ion battery显示文摘In the present study,V3O5 microcrystals that synthesized via vacuum calcination are employed as anodes for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)for the first time.Despite the widely observed sluggish reaction kinetics and poor cycling stability in most microsized transition metal oxides,the V3O5 microcrystals exhibit excellent rate capability(specific capacities of 144 and 125 mAh g^−1 are achieved at extremely high current densities of 20 and 50 A g^−1,respectively)and long-term cycling performance(specific capacity of 117 mAh g^−1 is sustained over 2000 cycles at 50 A g^−1).It is ascribed to the three-dimensional open-framework structure of the V3O5 microcrystals as a major factor in dictating the fast reaction kinetics(lithium diffusion coefficient:~10−9 cm^2 s^−1).In addition,significant insight into the reaction mechanism of the V3O5 microcrystals in concomitant its phase evolution are obtained from ex-situ XRD study,revealing that the V3O5 microcrystals undergo intercalation reaction with insignificant structural change in response to lithiation/delithiation.Dong Chen Huiteng Tan Xianhong Rui Qi Zhang Yuezhan Feng Hongbo Geng Chengchao Li Shaoming Huang Yan Yu 2019InfoMat2019,1,2:6
11Probabilistic analysis of tunnel displacements based on correlative recognition of rock mass parameters显示文摘Displacement is vital in the evaluations of tunnel excavation processes,as well as in determining the postexcavation stability of surrounding rock masses.The prediction of tunnel displacement is a complex problem because of the uncertainties of rock mass properties.Meanwhile,the variation and the correlation relationship of geotechnical material properties have been gradually recognized by researchers in recent years.In this paper,a novel probabilistic method is proposed to estimate the uncertainties of rock mass properties and tunnel displacement,which integrated multivariate distribution function and a relevance vector machine(RVM).The multivariate distribution function is used to establish the probability model of related random variables.RVM is coupled with the numerical simulation methods to construct the nonlinear relationship between tunnel displacements and rock mass parameters,which avoided a large number of numerical simulations.Also,the residual rock mass parameters are taken into account to reflect the brittleness of deeply buried rock mass.Then,based on the proposed method,the uncertainty of displacement in a deep tunnel of CJPL-II laboratory are analyzed and compared with the in-situ measurements.It is found that the predicted tunnel displacements by the RVM model closely match with the measured ones.The correlations of parameters have significant impacts on the uncertainty results.The uncertainty of tunnel displacement decreases while the reliability of the tunnel increases with the increases of the negative correlations among rock mass parameters.When compared to the deterministic method,the proposed approach is more rational and scientific,and also conformed to rock engineering practices.Minzong Zheng Shaojun Li Hongbo Zhao Xiang Huang Shili Qiu 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,4:6
12Migration patterns and habitat use of the tapertail anchovy Coilia mystus in the Oujiang River Estuary and the Zhujiang River Estuary, China显示文摘Habitat use of the tapertail anchovy(Coilia mystus Linnaeus, 1758) from the Oujiang River Estuary and the Zhujiang(Pearl) River Estuary was studied by examining the environmental signatures of Sr and Ca in otoliths using electron probe microanalysis. Individuals from the Oujiang River had higher and varied Sr:Ca ratios(expressed as(Sr:Ca)×1 000, 3.83–13.0 average) in the otolith core regions, suggesting that they were born in brackish or sea waters, and that a freshwater habitat might not be necessary for egg hatching and larval growth.While, individuals from the Zhujiang River had lower Sr:Ca ratios(0.39–2.51 average) in the core regions,suggesting a freshwater origin. After hatching, anchovies from the Zhujiang River migrate downstream to the river estuary close to brackish water. 13Locating Parent Lightning Strokes of Sprites Observed over a Mesoscale Convective System in Shandong Province,China显示文摘In this paper, we report the location results for the parent lightning strokes of more than 30 red sprites observed over an asymmetric mesoscale convective system(MCS) on 30 July 2015 in Shandong Province, China, with a long-baseline lightning location network of very-low-frequency/low-frequency magnetic field sensors. The results show that almost all of these cloud-to-ground(CG) strokes are produced during the mature stage of the MCS, and are predominantly located in the trailing stratiform region, which is similar to analyses of sprite-productive MCSs in North America and Europe. Comparison between the location results for the sprite-producing CG strokes and those provided by the World Wide Lightning Location Network(WWLLN) indicates that the location accuracy of WWLLN for intense CG strokes in Shandong Province is typically within 10 km, which is consistent with the result based on analysis of 2838 sprite-producing CG strokes in the continental United States. 14Clinical applications of free medial tibial flap with posterior tibial artery for head and neck reconstruction after tumor resection显示文摘Tumor resection causes damage in the head and neck which creates problems in swallowing, chewing, articulation,and vision, all of which seriously affect patients' quality of life. In this work, we evaluated the application of a free medial tibial flap in reconstruction of head and neck defects after tumor resection. We discussed the anatomy,surgical technique, and the advantages and disadvantages of the flap. We found several benefits for the flap, such as,it is especially effective for the defects that require thin-layer epithelium to cover or the separated soft tissue defect;a two-team approach can be used because the donor site is far away from the head and neck; and the flap is easy to integrate because of the subcutaneous fat layer of the free medial tibial flap is thin and the flap is soft. 15Challenges and strategies for in situ endothelialization and long-term lumen patency of vascular grafts显示文摘Vascular diseases are the most prevalent cause of ischemic necrosis of tissue and organ,which even result in dysfunction and death.Vascular regeneration or artificial vascular graft,as the conventional treatment modality,has received keen attentions.However,small-diameter(diameter<4 mm)vascular grafts have a high risk of thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia(IH),which makes long-term lumen patency challengeable.Endothelial cells(ECs)form the inner endothelium layer,and are crucial for anti-coagulation and thrombogenesis.Thus,promoting in situ endothelialization in vascular graft remodeling takes top priority,which requires recruitment of endothelia progenitor cells(EPCs),migration,adhesion,proliferation and activation of EPCs and ECs.Chemotaxis aimed at ligands on EPC surface can be utilized for EPC homing,while nanofibrous structure,biocompatible surface and cell-capturing molecules on graft surface can be applied for cell adhesion.Moreover,cell orientation can be regulated by topography of scaffold,and cell bioactivity can be modulated by growth factors and therapeutic genes.Additionally,surface modification can also reduce thrombogenesis,and some drug release can inhibit IH.Considering the influence of macrophages on ECs and smooth muscle cells(SMCs),scaffolds loaded with drugs that can promote M2 polarization are alternative strategies.In conclusion,the advanced strategies for enhanced long-term lumen patency of vascular grafts are summarized in this review.Strategies for recruitment of EPCs,adhesion,proliferation and activation of EPCs and ECs,anti-thrombogenesis,anti-IH,and immunomodulation are discussed.Ideal vascular grafts with appropriate surface modification,loading and fabrication strategies are required in further studies.Yu Zhuang Chenglong Zhang Mengjia Cheng Jinyang Huang Qingcheng Liu Guangyin Yuan Kaili Lin Hongbo Yu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:5

17Application of regional citrate anticoagulation in patients at high risk of bleeding during intermittent hemodialysis:a prospective multicenter randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective:Safe and effective anticoagulation is essential for hemodialysis patients who are at high risk of bleeding.The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of two-stage regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)combined with sequential anticoagulation and standard calcium-containing dialysate in intermittent hemodialysis(IHD)treatment.Methods:Patients at high risk of bleeding who underwent IHD from September 2019 to May 2021 were prospectively enrolled in 13 blood purification centers of nephrology departments,and were randomly divided into RCA group and saline flushing group.In the RCA group,0.04 g/mL sodium citrate was infused from the start of the dialysis line during blood draining and at the venous expansion chamber.The sodium citrate was stopped after 3 h of dialysis,which was changed to sequential dialysis without anticoagulant.The hazard ratios for coagulation were according to baseline.Results:A total of 159 patients and 208 sessions were enrolled,including RCA group(80 patients,110 sessions)and saline flushing group(79 patients,98 sessions).The incidence of severe coagulation events of extracorporeal circulation in the RCA group was significantly lower than that in the saline flushing group(3.64%vs.20.41%,P<0.001).The survival time of the filter pipeline in the RCA group was significantly longer than that in the saline flushing group((238.34±9.33)min vs.(221.73±34.10)min,P<0.001).The urea clearance index(Kt/V)in the RCA group was similar to that in the saline flushing group with no statistically significant difference(1.12±0.34 vs.1.08±0.34,P=0.41).Conclusions:Compared with saline flushing,the two-stage RCA combined with a sequential anticoagulation strategy significantly reduced extracorporeal circulation clotting events and prolonged the dialysis time without serious adverse events.Xiaoyan TANG Dezheng CHEN Ling ZHANG Ping FU Yanxia CHEN Zhou XIAO Xiangcheng XIAO Weisheng PENG Li CHENG Yanmin ZHANG Hongbo LI Kehui LI Bizhen GOU Xin WU Qian YU Lijun JIAN Zaizhi ZHU Yu WEN Cheng LIU Hen XUE Hongyu ZHANG Xin HE Bin YAN Liping ZHONG Bin HUANG Mingying MAO 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,11:4
18Provenance Study of Fe–Ti Oxide Minerals in the Quaternary Sediments in Yichang Area and Its Implication of Formation Time of the Yangtze Three Gorges, China显示文摘The Three Gorges are considered to be critical to understand the formation of Yangtze River. Recent research results suggest that the Yangtze Three Gorges was created during the Quaternary but the exact time is debatable. Fe–Ti oxide minerals are seldom used to study sediment provenance, expecially using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). In this study, the provenance of Quaternary sediments in Yichang area, which is located to the east of the Yangtze Three Gorges, was investigated by using SEM and EDS to research Fe–Ti oxides. The Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite and Emeishan basalt outcrop are located to the west of the Three Gorges. Further, the materials from them are observed in the Quaternary sediments of Yichang area. Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite are observed in the Yunchi and Shanxiyao Formations, which were formed before 0.75 Ma B.P., whereas Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite, Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite, and Emeishan basalt are observed in the riverbed and fifth-terrace sediments of the Yangtze River, which were formed after 0.73 Ma B.P.. 19Mortality of Dementia and Its Major Subtypes in Urban and Rural Communities of Beijing显示文摘Objective To identify the mortality and epidemiological pattern of dementia and its various major subtypes among urban and rural senior residents in Beijing.Methods Based on Beijing's dementia prevalence survey among residents aged 55 years and above in 1997,respondents were selected by stratified multiple‐stage cluster sampling and 12 urban communities and 17 rural village communities were randomly sampled then follow‐up in 2001.COX regression was used to analyze relative risks controllingconfounding factors on deaths of dementia cases.Results The mortality of dement patients in the 55‐64 age‐group was 0.82/100 person‐year.The age‐standardized mortality of dement cases was 0.90/100 person‐year.The mortality in the 65 and above age‐group was 1.44/100 person‐year,and the age‐standardized mortality was 1.56/100 person‐year.Among AD cases,the above two mortalities were 0.35/100 and 0.42/100 person‐year respectively,and among VaD cases,0.34/100 and 0.36/100 person‐year respectively.For both AD and VaD cases,their mortality increased with age.Region,gender and age were more significant to survival of AD cases.Conclusion One major subtype of dementia,AD,among elderly urban and rural residents in Beijing,has a different mortality and epidemiological pattern from VaD.WEN HongBo ZHANG ZhenXin HUANG JueBin DUAN LeiLei WANG QingHua 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,5:4
