| 1 | SUMOylation-modified Pelota-Hbs1 RNA surveillance complex restricts the infection of potyvirids in plants显示文摘RNA quality control nonsense-mediated decay is involved in viral restriction in both plants and animals.However,it is not known whether two other RNA quality control pathways,nonstop decay and no-go decay,are capable of restricting viruses in plants.Here,we show that the evolutionarily conserved Pelota–Hbs1 complex negatively regulates infection of plant viruses in the family Potyviridae(termed potyvirids),the largest group of plant RNA viruses that accounts for more than half of the viral crop damage worldwide.Pelota enables the recognition of the functional G1-2A6-7 motif in the P3 cistron,which is conserved in almost all potyvirids.This allows Pelota to target the virus and act as a viral restriction factor.Furthermore,Pelota interacts with the SUMO E2-conjugating enzyme SCE1 and is SUMOylated in planta.Blocking Pelota SUMOylation disrupts the ability to recruit Hbs1 and inhibits viral RNA degradation.These findings reveal the functional importance of Pelota SUMOylation during the infection of potyvirids in plants. | Linhao Ge Buwei Cao Rui Qiao Hongguang Cui Shaofang Li Hongying Shan Pan Gong Mingzhen Zhang Hao Li Aiming Wang Xueping Zhou Fangfang Li | 2023 | Molecular Plant2023,16,3: | 2 |
| 2 | Study on the Control Strategy of Free Piston Expander-Linear Generator Used for Organic Rankine Cycle Waste Heat Recovery显示文摘This study presents a free piston expander-linear generator (FPE-LG) for engine waste heat recovery.The control strategies based on displacement (control strategy A) and valve timings (control strategy B) are proposed.The operation and output characteristics with different control strategies are conducted.The results show that control strategy has significant effect on the FPE-LG performance.When FPE-LG operates with control strategy A,the operation frequency is determined by the intake pressure,advanced exhaust duration,fixed position point and external load resistance,whereas it is only related with the intake/exhaust time and advanced exhaust duration (ta) for control strategy B.The external load resistance has slight influence on the stroke length for these two control strategies.For control strategy A,when advanced exhaust duration is more than 40 ms,the stroke length rises with the intake pressure,whereas it first rises and then reduces when advanced exhaust duration is less than 40 ms.There exist the optimal external load resistance and advanced exhaust duration to achieve the maximum power output with control strategy A,whereas the average power output reduces with the increasing advanced exhaust duration when using control strategy B.Stable operation and high power output can be obtained by using different control strategies and adjusting relevant operation parameters. | HOU Xiaochen ZHANG Hongguang ZHAO Tenglong SHI Xin XU Yonghong LI Jian GE Zhong ZHANG Jun WU Yuting | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 1 |

| 6 | Numerical Simulation of Energy Saving Potential in Dispersing Process of Blasted Smoke in Mines显示文摘The dispersing process of the blasted smoke in underground mines by ventilation is very important for the safety of personnel,and its energy consumption is also worthy of concern. In this study,the impact of supply air flow rate on the decay process of harmful gases and fan energy,and the role of harmful gases buried by blasted pile in the smoke dispersing process is analyzed with three-dimensional numerical simulation. According to the results,air flow facilitates quick smoke dispersion and the gas emits from the blasted pile is only significant at the beginning of ventilation. It is thus recommended that large amount of air supply is taken to disperse the smoke quickly until the concentration of harmful gases reaches relevant standards,and reduce the amount of air in the remain time with frequency conversion technology to save energy. In the given study,12 m / s air flow rate is taken for dispersing smoke and 3 m / s air flow rate is taken for the waiting time. The energy consumption for ventilation is reduced by about 50%.
