3Transcriptome and metabolome analysis reveal that oral secretions from Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura influence wound-induced host response in cotton显示文摘Cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)is an important fiber crop worldwide.Insect attack causes cotton yield and quality losses.However,little is known about the mechanism of cotton response to insect attack.We simulated insect feeding by applying insect oral secretions(OS)to wounds,and combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis to investigate how OS from two major pest species(Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura)affect cotton defense responses.We found that respectively 12,668 and 13,379 genes were differentially expressed in comparison with wounding alone.On addition of OS,the jasmonic acid signaling pathway was rapidly and strongly induced,whereas genes involved in salicylic acid biosynthesis were downregulated.On constructing a coexpression gene network,we identified a hub gene encoding a leucine-rich repeat receptor kinase that may play an important role in early signal recognition and transduction.OS from the two insect species altered the abundance of flavonoid-related compounds in different patterns.Gossypol remained in lower concentration after OS application than after wounding alone,suggesting a suppressive effect of OS on cotton defense response.This study illustrated transcriptional and metabolic changes of cotton in responding to OS from two chewing insect species,identified potential key response genes,and revealed evidence for OS inhibition of wounding-induced cotton defense response.Huan Si Hongling Liu Yiwen Sun Zhongping Xu Sijia Liang Bo Li Xiao Ding Jianying Li Qiongqiong Wang Lin Sun Xianlong Zhang Shuangxia Jin 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,6:1
4Fungal diversity and mycotoxins identification of mouldy rapeseed in China显示文摘Investigation on fungal populations and mycotoxins of mouldy rapeseed was conducted in this paper. A total of 578 rapeseed samples were collected from 11 Chinese provinces in 2015, and 141 samples were contaminted by mycete. Mouldy rapeseed samples with exceeding specified standard were found in all areas. The highest percentages of samples were from Hunan, Jiangxi and Hubei provinces with above standard rate of 31.91%, 24.54% and 20.45% respectively. Mycete in 29 severely mouldy samples were isolatedand determined by using dilution method. Eighty-three dominant isolates were found,among which fungal strain number ranged from 1 to 8. Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium steckii and Penicillium citrinum were dominant myco-populations identified by morphological and molecular biological methods. Rapeseed from the Southern provinces including Jiangxi,Hunan and Guangxi were contaminated by more isolates. Mycotoxins content were evaluated by LC–MS/MS. AFB1, BEA and FB1 were the top 3 prevalent mycotoxins. BEA and FB1 contaminations in rapeseed were relatively low. 5Characteristics of TP53 germline variants and their correlations with Li-Fraumeni syndrome or Li-Fraumeni-like syndrome in Chinese tumor patients显示文摘Li-Fraumeni syndrome(LFS),a rare autosomal-dominant inheritance condition,is associated with a family cancer history as well as pathogenic/likely-pathogenic TP53 germline variants(P/LP TP53 GV).The current clinical methods for detecting LFS are limited.Here,we retrospectively investigate P/LP TP53 GV among Chinese cancer patients by next-generation sequencing and evaluate its relationship with a family cancer history.A total of 270 out of 19,226 cancer patients have TP53 GV,including 53 patients with P/LP TP53 GV.Patients with P/LP TP53 GV are mainly found in male with glioma,lung cancer or sarcoma.The median age of diagnosis for P/LP TP53 GV patients is significantly lower than that of non-P/LP TP53 GV patients(31-years vs.53-years;P<0.01).One LFS patient and 3 Li-Fraumeni-like syndrome(LFL)patients are among the 26 followed-up P/LP TP53 GV patients.Among 25 types of P/LP TP53 GV,the highest variant frequencies occurred at codon 175 and 248.p.M237 I,p.R158 H,p.C238 Y and p.C275 R,are firstly identified among the Chinese LFS/LFL patients.This study reports the(P/LP)TP53 GV characteristics of Chinese pan-cancer patients.These findings suggest analyzing the P/LP TP53 GV in cancer patients is an effective strategy for identifying cancer predisposition syndrome.Panwen Tian Xiaoyan Zhang Sheng Yang Yu Fang Hongling Yuan Wei Li Honglin Zhu Fangping Zhao Jinlei Ding Yunshu Zhu Sizhen Wang Guochen Sun Hongbin Ni Tonghui Ma Ting Lei 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,7:0
