| 1 | Human umbilical cord Wharton's jelly-derived oligodendrocyte precursor-like cells for axon and myelin sheath regeneration显示文摘Human umbilical mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton's jelly of the umbilical cord were induced to differentiate into oligodendrocyte precursor-like cells in vitro. Oligodendrocyte precursor cells were transplanted into contused rat spinal cords. Immunofluorescence double staining indicated that transplanted cells survived in injured spinal cord, and differentiated into mature and immature oligodendrocyte precursor cells. Biotinylated dextran amine tracing results showed that cell transplantation promoted a higher density of the corticospinal tract in the central and caudal parts of the injured spinal cord. Luxol fast blue and toluidine blue staining showed that the volume of residual myelin was significantly increased at 1 and 2 mm rostral and caudal to the lesion epicenter after cell transplantation. Furthermore, immunofluorescence staining verified that the newly regenerated myelin sheath was derived from the central nervous system. Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan testing showed an evident behavioral recovery. | 3 | SUBJECTIVE TINNITUS AS FIRST PRESENTATION IN A PATIENT WITH METASTATIC LUNG CANCER IN TEMPORAL BONE-A CASE REPORT显示文摘Metastasis of lung cancer to the temporal bone is a very rare disease and subjective tinnitus as the presenting symptom in these patients is even rarer. Here we report a case in which a 42-year-old male presented with subjective tinnitus of three months, with no pulmonary disease symptoms. Pure tone audiometry indicated moderate conductive deafness in left ear with an air-bone gap of 21.3 dB. HRCT temporal bone scanning indicated high-density shadows in the left epitympanic cavity, sinus tympani and mastoid cavity. Chronic otitis media with cholesteatoma was suspected and surgical treatment recommended. However, preoperative chest x- ray revealed high- density millet lesions scattered widely in both lungs. HRCT lung scanning confirmed the lungs lesions and indicated lung cancer. In order to determine correlations between the temporal bone and pulmonary lesions, a CT- guided trans- mastoid aspiration biopsy and immunohistochemical study were conducted, which confirmed that the temporal bone lesion was metastatic from the lungs. The patient was given a series of chemotherapy immediately and his tinnitus significantly improved after three months of treatment, with full recovery of his hearing and complete resolution of shadows in the mastoid cavity. Unfortunately, he subsequently developed multiple bone metastases in the 9th month and cerebral metastasis in the 18th month. | 8 | Risk Factors and Pregnancy Outcome in Women with a History of Cesarean Section Complicated by Placenta Accreta显示文摘Objective:To explore the risk factors and pregnancy outcomes in women with a history of cesarean section complicated by placenta accreta(PA).Methods:This case-control study included clinical data from singleton mothers with a history of cesarean section in 11 public tertiary hospitals in seven provinces of China between January 2017 and December 2017.According to the intraoperative findings after delivery,the study population was divided into PA and non-PA groups.We compared the pregnancy outcomes between the two groups,used multivariate logistic regression to analyze the risk factors for placental accreta.Results:For this study we included 11,074 pregnant women with a history of cesarean section;and of these,869 cases were in the PA group and 10,205 cases were in the non-PA group.Compared with the non-PA group,the probability of postpartum hemorrhage(236/10,205,2.31%vs.283/869,32.57%),severe postpartum hemorrhage(89/10,205,0.87%vs.186/869,21.75%),diffuse intravascular coagulation(3/10,205,0.03%vs.4/869,0.46%),puerperal infection(33/10,205,0.32%vs.12/869,1.38%),intraoperative bladder injury(1/10,205,0.01%vs.16/869,1.84%),hysterectomy(130/10,205,1.27%vs.59/869,6.79%),and blood transfusion(328/10,205,3.21%vs.231/869,26.58%)was significantly increased in the PA group(P<0.05).At the same time,the neonatal birth weight 3250.00(2950.00–3520.00)g vs.2920.00(2530.00–3250.00)g),the probability of neonatal comorbidities(245/10,205,2.40%vs.61/869,7.02%),and the rate of neonatal intensive care unit admission(817/10,205,8.01%vs.210/869,24.17%)also increased significantly(P<0.05).Weight(odds ratio)(OR)=1.03,95%confidence interval(CI):1.01–1.05)),parity(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.03–1.34),number of miscarriages(OR=1.31,95%CI:1.17–1.47),number of previous cesarean sections(OR=2.57,95%CI:2.02–3.26),history of premature rupture of membrane(OR=1.61,95%CI:1.32–1.96),previous cesarean-section transverse incisions(OR=1.38,95%CI:1.12–1.69),history of placenta previa(OR=2.44,95%CI:1.50–3.96),and the combination of prenatal hemorrhage(OR=9.95,95%CI:8.42–11.75)and placenta previa(OR=91.74,95%CI:74.11–113.56)were all independent risk factors for PA.Conclusion:There was an increased risk of adverse outcomes in pregnancies complicated by PA in women with a history of cesarean section,and this required close clinical attention.Weight before pregnancy,parity,number of miscarriages,number of previous cesarean sections,history of premature rupture of membranes,past transverse incisions in cesarean sections,a history of placenta previa,prenatal hemorrhage,and placenta previa were independent risk factors for pregnancies complicated with PA in women with a history of cesarean section.These independent risk factors showed a high value in predicting the risk for placentab accreta in pregnancies of women with a history of cesarean section. | Yingyu Liang Lizi Zhang Shilei Bi Jingsi Chen Shanshan Zeng Lijun Huang Yulian Li Minshan Huang Hu Tan Jinping Jia Suiwen Wen Zhijian Wang Yinli Cao Shaoshuai Wang Xiaoyan Xu Ling Feng Xianlan Zhao Yangyu Zhao Qiying Zhu Hongbo Qi Lanzhen Zhang Hongtian Li Lili Du Dunjin Chen | 2022 | Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,3: | 1 |

| 16 | Development and application of novel high‐efficiency composite ultrafine cement grouts for roadway in fractured surrounding rocks显示文摘The fractured surrounding rocks of roadways pose major challenges to safe mining.Grouting has often been used to reinforce the surrounding rocks to mitigate the safety risks associated with fractured rocks.The aim of this study is to develop highly efficient composite ultrafine cement(CUC)grouts to reinforce the roadway in fractured surrounding rocks.The materials used are ultrafine cement(UC),ultrafine fly ash(UF),ultrafine slag(US),and additives(superplasticizer[SUP],aluminate ultrafine expansion agent[AUA],gypsum,and retarder).The fluidity,bleeding,shrinkage,setting time,chemical composition,microstructure,degree of hydration,and mechanical property of grouting materials were evaluated in this study.Also,a suitable and effective CUC grout mixture was used to reinforce the roadway in the fractured surrounding rock.The results have shown that the addition of UF and US reduces the plastic viscosity of CUC,and the best fluidity can be obtained by adding 40%UF and 10%US.Since UC and UF particles are small,the pozzolanic effect of UF promotes the hydration reaction,which is conductive to the stability of CUC grouts.In addition,fine particles of UC,UF,and US can effectively fill the pores,while the volumetric expansion of AUA and gypsum decreases the pores and thus affects the microstructure of the solidified grout.The compressive test results have shown that the addition of specific amounts of UF and US can ameliorate the mechanical properties of CUC grouts.Finally,the CUC22‐8 grout was used to reinforce the No.20322 belt roadway.The results of numerical simulation and field monitoring have indicated that grouting can efficaciously reinforce the surrounding rock of the roadway.In this research,high‐performance CUC grouts were developed for surrounding rock reinforcement of underground engineering by utilizing UC and some additives. | Maolin Tian Shaojie Chen Lijun Han Hongtian Xiao | 2024 | Deep Underground Science and Engineering2024,3,1: | 0 |

The survey paper presents a comprehensive overview of RL algorithms,including fundamental concepts like Markov decision processes and different approaches to RL, such as value-based, policy-based, and actor-critic methods, while also discussing the relationship between classical control and RL. It further reviews the wide-ranging applications of RL in process industries, such as soft sensors, low-level control, high-level control, distributed process control, fault detection and fault tolerant control, optimization,planning, scheduling, and supply chain. | 18 | Analysis of the personalized treatment and the relevant prognostic factors in children with medulloblastoma显示文摘Purpose:The present study summarized cases of children(n=32)with medulloblastoma(MB)who were treated using stratified therapy based on risk grading and also discussed the factors affecting prognosis.Methods:According to the risk stratification criteria,the cases were divided into the following four risk groups:low,standard,high,and very high.The 5-year overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS)rates were summarized.Further,the effects on the prognosis of tumor size,tumor stage,degree of resection,treatment mode,metastatic recurrence,molecular typing,and risk stratification were analyzed.Results:In the present study,following surgery,3 cases abandoned radiotherapy(RT)and chemotherapy(CHT),7 cases(<3 years of age)received only CHT,and 22 cases received combined RT and CHT.Total and near-total tumor resections were performed in 29 cases(90.6%).Subtotal resections were performed in 3 cases,and there were no surgery-related deaths.The average follow-up duration was 47 months.The average 5-year PFS and OS rates were 57.3%±7.2%and 68.7%±8.6%,respectively.The OS and PFS rates were significantly correlated with tumor-risk stratification,molecular staging,tumor stage,treatment mode,and recurrence after surgery(p<0.01).The degree of tumor resection,pathological type,and the presence of preoperative implantation were secondary factors affecting the prognosis(p<0.05).Age was correlated with the PFS rate.There was no correlation between age/tumor location/tumor size and prognosis(p>0.05).Favorable prognostic factors in the low-and standard-risk groups were stage M0,wingless-type MB,postoperative RT combined with CHT,no postoperative recurrence,age≥3 years,and total tumor resection.Conclusions:Personalized treatment strategies based on the risk stratification of MB and postoperative stratified comprehensive treatment could help improve the prognosis for MB. | LIHUA CHEN HONGTIAN ZHANG YONG XIA KAI SUN WENJIN CHEN RUXIANG XU | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,5: | 0 |

| 20 | Microfluidics embedded with microelectrodes for electrostimulation of neural stem cells proliferation显示文摘The regeneration of the injured nerve and recovery of its function have brought attention in the medical field. Electrical stimulation(ES) can enhance the cellular biological behavior and has been widely studied in the treatment of neurological diseases. Microfluidic technology can provide a cell culture platform with the well-controlled environment. Here a novel microfluidic/microelectrode composite microdevice was developed by embedding the microelectrodes to the microfluidic platform, in which microfluidics provided a controlled cell culture platform, and ES promoted the NSCs proliferation. We performed ES on rat neural stem cells(NSCs) to observe the effect on their growth, differentiation, proliferation, and preliminary explored the ES influence on cells in vitro. The results of immunofluorescence showed that ES had no significant effect on the NSCs specific expression, and the NSCs specific expression reached 98.9%± 0.4% after three days of ES. In addition, ES significantly promoted cell growth and the cell proliferation rate reached 49.41%.
