| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | Sonodynamic therapy(SDT): a novel strategy for cancer nanotheranostics显示文摘Sonodynamic therapy(SDT) is a promising non-invasive therapeutic modality. Compared to photo-inspired therapy, SDT provides many opportunities and benefits, including deeper tissue penetration, high precision, less side effects, and good patient compliance. Thanks to the facile engineerable nature of nanotechnology, nanoparticles-based sonosensitizers exhibit predominant advantages, such as increased SDT efficacy, binding avidity, and targeting specificity. This review aims to summarize the possible mechanisms of SDT, which can be expected to provide the theoretical basis for SDT development in the future. We also extensively discuss nanoparticle-assisted sonosensitizers to enhance the outcome of SDT. | 3 | Role of tegument proteins in herpesvirus assembly and egress显示文摘Morphogenesis and maturation of viral particles is an essential step of viral replication.An infectious herpesviral particle has a multilayered architecture,and contains a large DNA genome,a capsid shell,a tegument and an envelope spiked with glycoproteins.Unique to herpesviruses,tegument is a structure that occupies the space between the nucleocapsid and the envelope and contains many virus encoded proteins called tegument proteins.Historically the tegument has been described as an amorphous structure,but increasing evidence supports the notion that there is an ordered addition of tegument during virion assembly,which is consistent with the important roles of tegument proteins in the assembly and egress of herpesviral particles.In this review we first give an overview of the herpesvirus assembly and egress process.We then discuss the roles of selected tegument proteins in each step of the process,i.e.,primary envelopment,deenvelopment,secondary envelopment and transport of viral particles.We also suggest key issues that should be addressed in the near future. | Haitao Guo Sheng Shen Lili Wang Hongyu Deng | 2010 | Protein & Cell2010,1,11: | 5 |

| 9 | Quasi-two-dimensionalβ-Ga2O3 field effect transistors with large drain current density and low contact resistance via controlled formation of interfacial oxygen vacancies显示文摘Quasi-two-dimensi on al(2D)β-Ga2O3 is a rediscovered metal-oxide semiconductor with an ultra-wide bandgap of 4.6-4.9eV.It has been reported to be a promising material for next-generation power and radio frequency electronics.Field effect transistors(FETs)that can switch at high voltage are key compone nts in power and radio frequency devices,and reliable Ohmic con tacts are essential for high FET performance.However,obtaining low contact resistance onβ-Ga2O3 FETs is difficult since reactions betweenβ-Ga2O3 and metal contacts are not fully understood.Herein,we experimentally demonstrate the importanee of reactions at the metal/β-Ga2O3 interface and the corresponding effects of these reactions on FET performance.When Ti is employed as the metal contact,annealing ofβ-Ga2O3 FETs in argon can effectively transform Schottky contacts into Ohmic contacts and permit a large drain current density of-3.1 mA//μm.The contact resistance(Rcontact)between the Ti electrodes andβ-Ga2O3 decreased from^430 to^0.387Ω·mm after annealing.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)confirmed the formation of oxygen vacancies at the Ti/β-Ga2O3 interface after annealing,which is believed to cause the improved FET performance.The results of this study pave the way for greater application ofβ-Ga2O3 in electronics. | Zhen Li Yihang Liu Anyi Zhang Qingzhou Liu Chenfei Shen Fanqi Wu Chi Xu Mingrui Chen Hongyu Fu Chongwu Zhou | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,1: | 2 |

| 14 | Mutations in the miRNA165/166 binding site of the HB2 gene result in pleiotropic effects on morphological traits in wheat显示文摘Leaf,spike,stem,and root morphologies are key factors that determine crop growth,development,and productivity.Multiple genes that control these morphological traits have been identified in Arabidopsis,rice,maize,and other plant species.However,little is known about the genomic regions and genes associated with morphological traits in wheat.Here,we identified the ethyl methanesulfonate-derived mutant wheat line M133 that displays multiple morphological changes that include upward-curled leaves,paired spikelets,dwarfism,and delayed heading.Using bulked segregant RNA sequencing(BSR-seq)and a high-resolution genetic map,we identified TraesCS1D02G155200(HBD2)as a potential candidate gene.HB-D2 encodes a class III homeodomain-leucine zipper(HD-ZIP III)transcription factor,and the mutation was located in the miRNA165/166 complementary site,resulting in a resistant allele designated rHb-D2.The relative expression of rHb2 in the mutant plants was significantly higher(P<0.01)than in plants homozygous for the WT allele.Independent resistant mutations that disrupt the miRNA165/166 complementary sites in the A-(rHb-A2)and B-genome(rHb-B2)homoeologs showed similar phenotypic alterations,but the relative intensity of the effects was different.Transgenic plants expressing rHb-D2 gene driven by the maize UBIQUITIN(UBI)promoter showed similar phenotypes to the rHb-D2 mutant.These results confirmed that HB-D2 is the causal gene responsible for the mutant phenotypes.Finally,a survey of 1397 wheat accessions showed that the complementary sites for miRNA165/166 in all three HB2 homoeologs are highly conserved.Our results suggest that HB2 plays an important role in regulating growth and development in wheat. | Dengji Jiang Lei Hua Chaozhong Zhang Hongna Li Zheng Wang Jian Li Guiping Wang Rui Song Tao Shen Hongyu Li Shengsheng Bai Yanna Liu Jian Wang Hao Li Jorge Dubcovsky Shisheng Chen | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,1: | 1 |
| 15 | Light-triggered NO-releasing nanoparticles for treating mice with liver fibrosis显示文摘Liver fibrosis, resulting from chronic liver damage and characterized by the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, is a characteristic of most types of chronic liver diseases. The activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSC) is considered an essential pathological hallmark in liver fibrosis. Although nitric oxide (NO) can effectively induce HSC apoptosis, the systemic administration of NO is ineffective and may cause severe complications such as hypotension. To overcome this limitation, nanoparticles were designed to target HSCs and release NO locally under the exposure of near infrared light (NIR). To achieve this, upconversion nanoparticle (UCNP) cores were enveloped in mesoporous silica shells (UCNP@mSiO2), which were modified with hyaluronic acid (HA-UCNP@mSiO2) and Roussin’s black salt (RBS). HA molecules recognize and bind to CD44 proteins, which are overexpressed on activated HSCs. Under exposure to a 980-nm NIR laser, the UCNP cores convert the 980-nm wavelength into ultraviolet (UV) light, which then energizes the RBS (NO donors), resulting in an efficient release of NO inside of the HSCs. Once released, NO triggers HSC apoptosis and reverses the liver fibrosis. | 18 | Study on the 3-D Velocity Structure around the Focal Region of the Anqing Earthquake in January 2011 and Discussion on the Causative Fault显示文摘The Anqing MS4.8 earthquake occurred on January 19, 2011, with the epicenter lying in the foreland deformation belt along the Yangtze River of the lower Yangtze block. After the earthquake, the field work team surveyed and collected building damage data, calculating and obtaining more accurate intensity distributions. The focal mechanism of the main shock was calculated tentatively using digital seismic wave data from provincial digital seismic networks using the FOCMEC program and the first motions of P, SV and SH waves with their amplitude ratios. | 20 | Efficacy of gecko polysaccharide on suppressed immune response induced by cyclophosphamide in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of gecko polysaccharide on the cyclophosphamide-induced suppressed immune response in mice.METHODS:Polysaccharides were extracted from fresh gecko for the first time using an orthogonal method and protein was removed using Sevag reagent(chloroform∶N-butanol,5∶1,v/v).The gecko polysaccharide(GPCE)content was determined by the phenol-concentrated sulfuric acid method.An immunocompromised mouse model was established by intraperitoneally injecting cyclophosphamide at 100 mg/kg into 48 mice.The effects of GPCE on immune regulation in mice were assessed by a thymus-spleen index,serum hemolysin levels,and the proliferation of splenic lymphocytes.Spleen cell CD4+,CD8+,and the CD4+/CD8+ ratio were evaluated by flow cytometry and the tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels were measured by ELISA.RESULTS:The optimal extraction process for gecko polysaccharide included a 1∶20 ratio of material to liquid(v/v),an extraction temperature of 60℃ and a time of 2 h.The polysaccharide content of the extract was 65.74%.GPCE was analyzed by HPLC and primarily contained glucose and small amounts of mannose,rha,and gal.Compared with the model,the thymus index,the spleen index were indices for GPCE increased with dose,whereas the high and medium groups exhibited significant differences(P<0.05,P<0.01).Higher doses of GPCE increased serum TNF-αlevels and there was a significant difference between the medium and high GPCE doses and the model(P<0.05,P<0.01);The number of CD4+ cells and the CD4+/CD8+ ratio in the gecko polysaccharide group were increased(P<0.05)and there was no statistical difference in the number of CD8+ cells in the gecko polysaccharide group(P>0.05);The high GPCE dose significantly increased the level of serum hemolysin(P<0.01).CONCLUSIONS:Gecko polysaccharide significantly improved the suppressed immune response induced by cyclophosphamide in mice and promoted the secretion of tumor necrosis factor.The mechanism of gecko polysaccharide as an antitumor agent warrants further study. | ZHOU Xingqin CHANG Yazhou JI Bin ZHAO Hongyu SHEN Chaoyan CHANG Renan | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,4: | 1 |
