| 1 | Geographical characteristics of China’s wetlands derived from remotely sensed data显示文摘In this paper, we report the first wetland mapping of the entire China using Landsat enhanced thematic mapper plus (ETM+) data. These data were obtained from the Global Land Cover Facility at the University of Maryland spanning from 1999 to 2002. A total of 597 scenes of Landsat images were georeferenced and mosaiced. Manual image interpretation of satellite images was aided with elevation data, soil data, land cover/land use data and Google Earth. The minimum mapping unit is 10 pixel × 10 pixel, equivalent to 9 ha. The aim of our first round of mapping was only targeted at the boundary delineation of any type of wetland except those wetlands that are under agricultural use (i.e., paddy fields), which has already been well mapped by others. Our interpretation results indicate that a total of 359478 km2 of wetlands are of non-agricultural use. Among our preliminarily mapped wetland, 339353 km2 are inland wetland, 2786 km2 are non-agricultural artificial wetland, and 17609 km2 are coastal wetland. Because low-tide is rarely captured in satellite images, an under-estimation of coastal wetland is inevitable. We conducted some statistics based on our mapped wetlands and compared them with those previously obtained from a number of sources including a land cover/land use map made with satellite images during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a marshland map developed in approximately the same period, survey data of coastal wetland in early 1980s, and area data for approximately 400 larger patches of marshland in China compiled in 1996. Because some inconsistencies exist in the guidelines of those different wetland surveys, difference in area is expected. Some further comparison indicates that the wetland distributions derived from the preliminary wetland map are reasonable and more objective than other sources. The mapping process also indicated that the method adopted by us was efficient and cost-effective. We also found that in order to ensure comparability of the wetland maps developed at different times, a set of standard guidelines on the wetland categories to be mapped, and the mapping methods to be used must be well conceived, developed and effectively employed. | 2 | Influence of N on precipitation behavior,associated corrosion and mechanical properties of super austenitic stainless steel S32654显示文摘The influence of N on the precipitation behavior,associated corrosion,and mechanical properties of S32654 were investigated by microstructural,electrochemical,and mechanical analyses.Increasing the N content results in several alterations:(1) grain refinement,which promotes intergranular precipitation;(2) a linear increase in the driving force for Cr2 N and Mo activity,which accelerates the precipitation of intergranular Cr2 N and π phase,respectively;(3) a linear decrease in the driving force for σ phase and Cr activity,which suppresses the formation of intragranular σ phase.The total amount of precipitates first decreased and then increased with the N content increasing.Furthermore,the intergranular corrosion susceptibility depended substantially on the total amount of precipitates and also first exhibited a decreasing and then an increasing trend as the N content increased.In addition,aging precipitation caused a considerable decrement in the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) and a remarkable increment in the yield strength(YS).Both the UTS and YS always increased with N content increasing throughout the solution and aging process.Whereas the elongation was considerably sensitive to the aging treatment,it exhibited marginal variation with the N content increasing. | Shucai Zhang Huabing Li Zhouhua Jiang Zhixing Li Jingxi Wu Binbin Zhang Fei Duan Hao Feng Hongchun Zhu | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,42,7: | 10 |
| 3 | Effect of nitrogen on corrosion behaviour of a novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN manufactured by pressurized metallurgy显示文摘A novel high nitrogen medium-entropy alloy CrCoNiN, which had higher strength and slightly lower ductility than CrCoNi alloy, was successfully manufactured by pressurized metallurgy. The microstructure and corrosion behaviour were investigated by microscopic, electrochemical and spectroscopic methods.The results indicated that nitrogen existed in the form of Cr_2N precipitates and uniformly distributed N atoms, and nitrogen alloying significantly refined the grain size. Besides, nitrogen enriched on the outmost surface of passive film and metal/film interface as ammonia(NH-_3 and NH_4^+) and CrN, respectively. | 7 | Mechanical property comparisons between CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy and 316 stainless steels显示文摘We systematically compared the mechanical properties of CrCoNi,a recently emerged prototypical medium-entropy alloy(MEA)with face-centered-cubic(FCC)structure,with hallmark FCC alloys,in particular,the well-known austenitic 316 L and 316 LN stainless steels,which are also concentrated singlephase FCC solid solutions and arguably next-of-kin to the MEAs.The tensile and impact properties,across the temperatures range from 373 K to 4.2 K,as well as fracture toughness at 298 K and 77 K,were documented.From room temperature to cryogenic temperature,all three alloys exhibited similarly good mechanical properties;CrCoNi increased its tensile uniform elongation and fracture toughness,which was different from the decreasing trend of the 316 L and 316 LN.On the other hand,the stainless steels showed higher fracture toughness than CrCoNi at all temperatures.To explain the differences in macroscopic mechanical properties of the three alloys,microstructural hardening mechanisms were surveyed.CrCoNi MEA relied on abundant mechanical twinning on the nanoscale,while martensitic transformation was dominant in 316 L at low temperatures.The deformation mechanisms in the plastic zone ahead of the propagating crack in impact and fracture toughness tests were also analyzed and compared for the three alloys. | Xiaoru Liu Hao Feng Jing Wang Xuefei Chen Ping Jiang Fuping Yuan Huabing Li En Ma Xiaolei Wu | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,13: | 1 |

| 10 | Manipulating electromagnetic radiation of one-way edge states by magnetic plasmonic gradient metasurfaces显示文摘We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate that magnetic plasmonic gradient metasurfaces(GMSs) can convert a spatially propagating wave to a one-way edge state or vice versa with high efficiency. Consisting of an array of ferrite rods with a rotation gradient introduced to the rod dimers in the unit cell, GMSs can covert an incident wave beam to a one-way edge state with efficiency over 77%, and almost fully radiate into free space from the one-way edge state. The phenomenon arises from the unidirectional coupling of the spatial electromagnetic wave with magnetic plasmonic GMSs, which is evidenced from the photonic band diagrams of the edge state.The one-way edge state can radiate to or be excited from air with different angles by either engineering the gradient of the GMSs or tuning the bias magnetic field. | 11 | Intrinsic superconducting transport properties of ultra-thin Fe_(1+y)Te_(0:6)Se_(0:4) microbridges显示文摘We investigated the superconducting properties of Fe_(1+y)Te_(0:6)Se_(0:4) single-crystalline microbridges with a width of 4 m and thicknesses ranging from 20.8 to 136.2 nm. The temperature-dependent in-plane resistance of the bridges exhibited a type of metalinsulator transition in the normal state. The critical current density(J_c) of the microbridge with a thickness of 136.2 nm was82.3 kA/cm^2 at 3K and reached 105 kA/cm^2 after extrapolation to T = 0 K. The current versus voltage characteristics of the microbridges showed a Josephson-like behavior with an obvious hysteresis.
