| 1 | Reporting quality and effect size comparison in randomized controlled trials of bo's abdominal acupuncture using CONSORT statement and STRICTA显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the reporting quality of randomized controlled trials(RCT) that compared Bo's abdominal acupuncture with conventional body acupuncture, and compare the efficacy and safetybetweenthembyperforminga Meta-analysis.METHODS: All RCTs comparing Bo's abdominalacupuncture with conventional body acupuncture were included. English and Chinese databases were searched from their respective inceptions to March 2014. The reporting quality was assessed according to the 'Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials'(CONSORT) checklist for parallel RCTs and the revised 'Standards for Reporting Interventions in Clinical Trials of Acupuncture'(STRICTA). A Meta-analysis was conducted to synthesize the effect sizes,and publication bias was evaluated by the Egger linear regression test using Stata.RESULTS: Ninety-seven studies were included, of which most lacked adequate reporting information, and 80.4% showed that the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture is superior to conventional body acupuncture, especially for the following diseases:lumbar disc herniation, cervical spondylosis, omarthritis and cervical vertigo, except simple obesity.Effect-sizes were controversial when evaluating different outcomes.CONCLUSION: The international standard CONSORT statement and STRICTA guidelines should be strictly applied when reporting acupuncture RCTs in the future. Abdominal acupuncture appears to be more effective compared with conventional body acupuncture for some diseases. | 2 | Effects of Siraitia grosvenorii extracts on high fat diet-induced obese mice:a comparison with artificial sweetener aspartame显示文摘Long-term artificial sweetener intake is linked to increased risk of obesity. In the present study, supplement of natural sweetener from Siraitia grosvenorii(SG)(or Momordica grosvenorii) fruit, compared with the artificial sweetener aspartame(ASM), was evaluated for anti-obesity effects on mice fed with high fat diet(HFD). We found that, in contrary to ASM, SG extracts prevented body weight gain, the insulin resistance and fat mass accumulation in HFD mice. SG extracts treatment inhibited the infiltration of inflammatory macrophages and lowered the levels of the fat inflammatory cytokines(leptin, macrophage chemoattractant protein 1(MCP-1) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)) in adipose tissues. In addition, SG extracts supplement counteracted the remodeling of gut microbiota resulted from HFD. However, ASM supplement aggravated the HFD-induced obese performances, fat inflammation and dysregulation of gut microbiota. | 3 | Geological conditions, reservoir evolution and favorable exploration directions of marine ultra-deep oil and gas in China显示文摘By analyzing the structural background,petroleum geological conditions,and typical regional(paleo) oil and gas reservoirs in marine ultra-deep oil and gas regions in China,this paper reveals the evolution processes of the marine ultra-deep oil and gas reservoirs and the key controlling factors of accumulation.The marine ultra-deep oil and gas resources in China are buried at depth of greater than 6000 m,and are mainly distributed in the Precambrian and Lower Paleozoic strata in the Sichuan,Tarim and Ordos cratonic basins.The development of marine ultra-deep source rocks in China is controlled by cratonic rifts and cratonic depressions with the background of global supercontinent breakup-convergence cycles.The source rocks in Sichuan Basin have the most developed strata,followed by Tarim Basin,and the development strata and scale of Ordos Basin needs to be further confirmed.The marine ultra-deep reservoir in China is dominated by carbonate rocks,and the reservoir performance is controlled by high-energy sedimentary environment in the early stage,superimposed corrosion and fracture in the later stage.The regional caprocks are dominated by gypsum salt rocks,shale,and tight carbonate rock.The ultra-deep oil and gas fields in China have generally experienced two stages of oil-reservoir forming,cracking(or partial cracking) of paleo-oil reservoirs,and late finalization of cracked gas(or highly mature to over mature oil and gas).The oil and gas accumulation is controlled by static and dynamic geological elements jointly.Major hydrocarbon generation center,high quality and large-scale reservoir resulted from karstification of high energy facies belt,thick gypsum rock or shale caprock,and stable trapping and preservation conditions are the key factors for accumulation of ultra-deep oil and gas.We propose three favorable exploration directions,i.e.the areas around intracratonic rift and intracratonic depression,and craton margin. | LI Jianzhong TAO Xiaowan BAI Bin HUANG Shipeng JIANG Qingchun ZHAO Zhenyu CHEN Yanyan MA Debo ZHANG Liping LI Ningxi SONG Wei | 2021 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1: | 0 |
| 4 | Cancer-educated neutrophils promote lung cancer progression via PARP-1-ALOX5-mediated MMP-9 expression显示文摘Objective:Neutrophils are one of the most predominant infiltrating leukocytes in lung cancer tissues and are associated with lung cancer progression.How neutrophils promote lung cancer progression,however,has not been established.Methods:Kaplan–Meier plotter online analysis and tissue immunohistochemistry were used to determine the relationship between neutrophils and overall survival in lung cancer patients.The effect of neutrophils on lung cancer was determined using the Transwell migration assay,a proliferation assay,and a murine tumor model.Gene knockdown was used to determine poly ADPribose polymerase(PARP)-1 function in lung cancer-educated neutrophils.Western blot analysis and gelatin zymography were used to demonstrate the correlation between PARP-1 and matrix metallopeptidase 9(MMP-9).Immunoprecipitation coupled to mass spectrometry(IP/MS)was used to identify the proteins interacting with PARP-1.Co-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP)was used to confirm that PARP-1 interacts with arachidonate 5-lipooxygenase(ALOX5).Neutrophil PARP-1 blockage by AG14361 rescued neutrophil-promoted lung cancer progression.Results:An increased number of infiltrating neutrophils was negatively associated with overall survival in lung cancer patients(P<0.001).Neutrophil activation promoted lung cancer cell invasion,migration,and proliferation in vitro,and murine lung cancer growth in vivo.Mechanistically,PARP-1 was shown to be involved in lung cancer cell-induced neutrophil activation to increase MMP-9 expression through interacting and stabilizing ALOX5 by post-translational protein modification(PARylation).Blocking PARP-1 by gene knockdown or AG14361 significantly decreased ALOX5 expression and MMP-9 production,and eliminated neutrophil-mediated lung cancer cell invasion and in vivo tumor growth.Conclusion:We identified a novel mechanism by which PARP-1 mediates lung cancer cell-induced neutrophil activation and PARylates ALOX5 to regulate MMP-9 expression,which exacerbates lung cancer progression. | Lulu Han Yuxin Chen Nan Huang Xiaowan Zhou Yanfang Lv Huizhong Li Dafei Chai Junnian Zheng Gang Wang | 2024 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2024,21,2: | 0 |
| 5 | Structure-Enhanced Mechanically Robust Graphite Foam with Ultrahigh MnO_(2) Loading for Supercapacitors显示文摘With the fast bloom of flexible electronics and green vehicles,it is vitally important to rationally design and facilely construct customized functional materials with excellent mechanical properties as well as high electrochemical performance.Herein,by utilizing two modern industrial techniques,digital light processing(DLP)and chemical vapor deposition(CVD),a unique 3D hollow graphite foam(HGF)is demonstrated,which shows a periodic porous structure and robust mechanical properties.Finite element analysis(FEA)results confirm that the properly designed gyroidal porous structure provides a uniform stress area and mitigates potential structural failure caused by stress concentrations.A typical HGF can show a high Young’s modulus of 3.18 MPa at a low density of 48.2 mg cm^(-3).The porous HGF is further covered by active MnO_(2) material with a high mass loading of 28.2 mg cm^(-2)(141 mg cm^(-3)),and the MnO_(2)/HGF electrode still achieves a satisfactory specific capacitance of 260 F g^(-1),corresponding to a high areal capacitance of 7.35 F cm^(-2) and a high volumetric capacitance of 36.75 F cm^(-3).Furthermore,the assembled quasi-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor also shows remarkable mechanical properties as well as electrochemical performance. | Qinghe Cao Junjie Du Xiaowan Tang Xi Xu Longsheng Huang Dongming Cai Xu Long Xuewen Wang Jun Ding Cao Guan Wei Huang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 0 |
