1A NEW MOMENT METHOD FOR THE FAST AND ACCURATE ANALYSIS OF NORMAL MODE HELICAL ANTENNAS显示文摘In this letter, a new moment method using helical segments is presented to model Normal Mode Helical Antenna (NMHA). Using this method, the NMHA can be modeled by a few segments. The current distributions and radiation patterns of some NMHAs are calculated.A comparison is made between results obtained using this helical segment algorithm and a linear segment algorithm, and the results of the two algorithms agree fairly well. When calculating the impedance matrix [Z], all the elements of the matrix can be obtained by only calculating a few elements with the application of the symmetric and periodic characteristics of the NMHA.Therefore, the CPU time and the memory storage are significantly reduced, with the accuracy and speed enhanced.Ji Yicai Sun Baohua Liu Qizhong (Institute of Antennas and EM Scattering, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071) 2001Journal of Electronics(China)2001,18,4:2

3AN ULTRA-WIDEBAND ANTENNA FOR THE REINFORCED CONCRETE DETECTION显示文摘In this paper,an Ultra-Wideband(UWB) planar antenna is proposed for the reinforced concrete detection,which consists of a pair of planar waterdrop arms,a microstrip to coplanar parallel-strips transition and a shallow rectangular cavity.In order to overcome the disadvantages of the shallow cavity,some absorbing material is loaded to weaken the narrow-band effect of the cavity and the crosstalk interference.The simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna has a large bandwidth from 0.48 GHz to 3.6 GHz with Voltage Standing Wave Ratio(VSWR) below 2 and a fractional bandwidth about 200% under the center frequency of 1.6 GHz,directional radiation characteristics and small late-time ringing in the time domain,which can be suitable for nondestructive detection of the reinforced concrete.Shao Jinjin Xia Zhenghuan Ji Yicai Fang Guangyou Yin Hejun 2013Journal of Electronics(China)2013,30,6:0
4ANALYSIS OF THE SCATTERING OF RIVET ON AIRCRAFT显示文摘This letter investigates the scattering characteristic of the rivets on aircraft. The Electric Field Integral Equation (EFIE) is used with the moment method to calculate the current distribution on the surface of the rivet. With the application of Gaussian integral corresponding triangular cell, the time to fill the Z matrix is greatly reduced. 5Design of Pyramidal Horn with Arbitrary E/H Plane Half-Power Beamwidth显示文摘This paper proposes a novel design method for pyramid horns which are under the constraints of 3 dB beamwidth.It is based on the general radiation patterns of E/H planes derived from Huygens’principle.Through interpolation and fitting techniques,the E/H plane’s maximum aperture error parameter of the pyramid horn is obtained as a function of the angle and aperture electrical size.Firstly,the aperture size of the E(or H)plane is calculated with the help of the optimal gain principle.Secondly,the constraint equation of another plane is derived.Finally,the intersection of constraint equation and interpolation function,which can be solved iteratively,contains all the solution information.The general radiation patterns neglect the influence of the Huygens element factor which makes the error bigger in large design beamwidth.In this paper,through theoretical analysis and simulation experiments,two correction formulas are employed to correct the Huygens element factor’s influence on the E/H planes.Simulation experiments and measurements show that the proposed method has a smaller design error in the range of 0-60 degrees half-power beamwidth.ZHANG Wenrui SHAO Wenyuan JI Yicai LI Chao YANG Guan LU Wei FANG Guangyou 2023Chinese Journal of Electronics2023,32,4:0
6HYBRID MM/MoL APPROACH FOR ANALYZING A COAXIAL FED MONOPOLE ANTENNA显示文摘A new hybrid technique is presented, which combines the Mode Matching (MM) method with the Method of Lines (MoL) to analyze a coaxial fed monopole antenna. The monopole antenna is dealt with using the MoL, while the MM method is used to analyze the coaxial feed system. Then, the two sub-problems are combined by enforcing point matching at the common regional interfaces. 7UWB TEM HORN ANTENNA FOR THE ASPHALT PAVEMENT INVESTIGATION显示文摘A simple Ultra-WideBand(UWB)exponentially-tapered Transverse ElectroMagnetic(TEM)horn antenna is presented for the asphalt detection based on Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR).In order to reduce the reflections from the antenna aperture,some absorbing material is loaded on the outer surface of the conductor.Comparing with the traditional TEM horn antenna,the proposed antenna has a small size and a large impedance bandwidth.Simulated and measured results show that the proposed TEM horn antenna has a low Voltage Standing Wave Ratio(VSWR)below 2 over the whole band from 0.35 GHz to 12 GHz,good radiation characteristics,and small late-time ringing,which can perfectly meet the requirements of the GPR application.Shao Jinjin Liu Guochang Ji Yicai Fang Guangyou Yin Hejun 2014Journal of Electronics(China)2014,31,1:0
