1Blast responses of shallow-buried prefabricated modular concrete tunnels reinforced by BFRP-steel bars显示文摘This paper reports the anti-blast performance of shallow-buried prefabricated modular tunnel reinforced by basalt fiber-reinforced polymer(BFRP)-steel bars.Three concrete arch members with steel bars and three concrete arch members with BFRP-steel bars were fabricated,with the other arch parameters kept constant.The three identical arches were assembled into an integral structure and then buried in soil for field anti-blast experiments.Through the experiment,the pressure on the vault,the displacement and acceleration of the vault,the strain in the reinforcement bars and the macroscopic damage of the arches under the blast load were determined.To evaluate the damage of the arch tunnel,a residual load-bearing capacity test was conducted on the arch members after the explosion experiment.The experimental results showed that the BFRP-steel bars reinforced concrete arch exhibited a higher load-bearing capacity and more safety redundancy than the steel bars reinforced concrete arch,and that the BFRP-steel bars could inhibit the occurrence of concrete cracks to a certain extent.A comparison between the arches assembled at different positions showed that the prefabricated modular tun-nel can be simplified directly as a two-dimensional arch structure under the blast load for analysis and calculation.Chengjie Zhao Zexun Tang Peng Wang Jiang Feng Jiannan Zhou Xinli Kong Hansheng Geng Fengnian Jin Hualin Fan 2022Underground Space2022,7,2:1
2Liquid metal-based paper electronics:Materials,methods,and applications显示文摘The liquid metals exhibit both the properties of liquids and metals and have a low melting point near room temperature.As a lowcost and easy-to-obtain flexible substrate,paper has significant advantages for large-area and multilayer flexible circuit fabrication.This has led to a growing interest in liquid metal-based paper electronics among both scientists and industry.In order to promote the development and application of liquid metal-based paper electronics,this review will summarize and analyze the progress from three perspectives,including liquid metal inks,printing methods,and their applications.A variety of liquid metalbased electronic inks are introduced,and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed.Then,a comparison of typical fabrication methods has been presented,including chemical interaction-based selective adhesion and surface roughness-based transfer printing.A number of emerging applications used and expected to be applied to liquid metal-based paper electronics have been demonstrated.Finally,paper electronics based on liquid metals are discussed along with their challenges and opportunities for the further development.In the future,further investigations and applications of paper electronics based on liquid metals are expected.JIANG ChengJie GUO Rui 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,6:1

4Self-Assembly of Constrained Cyclic Peptides Controlled by Ring Size显示文摘The de novo design of new peptide assemblies that expands the repertoire of biomaterial nanostructures has been of a tremendous challenge.Hence,it is evident that a successful research achievement in this area would increase the understanding of molecular interactions in supramolecules and create novel scaffolds exploitable in biotechnology and synthetic biology.The manipulation of cyclic peptide self-assembly is particularly intriguing for this purpose.Herein,we report that a novel type of cyclic peptides,referred to as chiral tether constrained cyclic peptides(CCP),shows promising self-assembly properties.CCPs are the first example of a controllable assembly of all-L-α-cyclic peptides with different ring sizes.A noteworthy feature of the CCP system is good tolerance of different secondary structures,ring size,and peptide sequence.Based on this system,a variety of nanostructures could be constructed,which display different physical properties,rendering it an excellent platform for molecular interaction studies.Further,demonstrate potential applications of these peptide assemblies in bioimaging and energy storage.Kuan Hu Wei Xiong Chengjie Sun Chan Wang Jingxu Li Feng Yin Yixiang Jiang Ming-Rong Zhang Zhou Li Xinwei Wang Zigang Li 2020CCS Chemistry2020,2,1:0
5A Diffuse-Interface Lattice Boltzmann Method for the Dendritic Growth with Thermosolutal Convection显示文摘In this work,we proposed a diffuse-interface model for the dendritic growth with thermosolutal convection.In this model,the sharp boundary between the fluid and solid dendrite is firstly replaced by a thin but nonzero thickness diffuse interface,which is described by the order parameter,and the diffuse-interface based governing equations for the dendritic growth are presented.To solve the model for the dendritic growth with thermosolutal convection,we also developed a diffuse-interface multirelaxation-time lattice Boltzmann(LB)method.In this method,the order parameter in the phase-field equation is combined into the force caused by the fluid-solid interaction,and the treatment on the complex fluid-solid interface can be avoided.In addition,four LB models are designed for the phase-field equation,concentration equation,temperature equation and the Navier-Stokes equations in a unified framework.Finally,we performed some simulations of the dendritic growth to test the present diffuse-interface LB method,and found that the numerical results are in good agreements with some previous works.Chengjie Zhan Zhenhua Chai Baochang Shi Ping Jiang Shaoning Geng Dongke Sun 2023Communications in Computational Physics2023,33,4:0

7Repeated methamphetamine exposure decreases plasma brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in rhesus monkeys显示文摘Background Brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)is known to prevent methamphetamine(METH)-induced neurotoxicity and plays a role in various stages of METH addiction.However,there is a lack of research with longitudinal design on changes in plasma BDNF levels in active METH-dependent individuals.Aims The aim of the study was to investigate changes in BDNF levels during METH self-administration in monkeys.Methods This study measured plasma BDNF levels in three male rhesus monkeys with continuous METH exposure and four male control rhesus monkeys without METH exposure.Changes in plasma BDNF levels were then assessed longitudinally during 40 sessions of METH self-administration in the three monkeys.Results Repeated METH exposure decreased plasma BDNF levels.Additionally,plasma BDNF decreased with long-term rather than short-term accumulation of METH during METH self-administration.Conclusions These findings may indicate that the changes in peripheral BDNF may reflect the quantity of accumulative METH intake during a frequent drug use period.Wenlei Zhang Jiahui Zhou Hang Su Xiaocheng Zhang Weichen Song Zijing Wang Chengjie Tang Kadir Uludag Min Zhao Zhi-Qi Xiong Rongwei Zhai Haifeng Jiang 2023General Psychiatry2023,36,5:0
8Real-Time Detection and Instance Segmentation of Strawberry in Unstructured Environment显示文摘The real-time detection and instance segmentation of strawberries constitute fundamental components in the development of strawberry harvesting robots.Real-time identification of strawberries in an unstructured envi-ronment is a challenging task.Current instance segmentation algorithms for strawberries suffer from issues such as poor real-time performance and low accuracy.To this end,the present study proposes an Efficient YOLACT(E-YOLACT)algorithm for strawberry detection and segmentation based on the YOLACT framework.The key enhancements of the E-YOLACT encompass the development of a lightweight attention mechanism,pyramid squeeze shuffle attention(PSSA),for efficient feature extraction.Additionally,an attention-guided context-feature pyramid network(AC-FPN)is employed instead of FPN to optimize the architecture’s performance.Furthermore,a feature-enhanced model(FEM)is introduced to enhance the prediction head’s capabilities,while efficient fast non-maximum suppression(EF-NMS)is devised to improve non-maximum suppression.The experimental results demonstrate that the E-YOLACT achieves a Box-mAP and Mask-mAP of 77.9 and 76.6,respectively,on the custom dataset.Moreover,it exhibits an impressive category accuracy of 93.5%.Notably,the E-YOLACT also demonstrates a remarkable real-time detection capability with a speed of 34.8 FPS.The method proposed in this article presents an efficient approach for the vision system of a strawberry-picking robot.Chengjun Wang Fan Ding Yiwen Wang Renyuan Wu Xingyu Yao Chengjie Jiang Liuyi Ling 2024Computers, Materials & Continua2024,78,1:0
