| 1 | Nonlinear aeroelastic analysis of the folding fin with freeplay under thermal environment显示文摘The nonlinear aeroelastic behavior of a folding fin in supersonic flow is investigated in this paper.The finite element model of the fin is established and the deployable hinges are represented by three torsion springs with the freeplay nonlinearity.The aerodynamic grid point is assumed to be at the center of each aerodynamic box for simplicity.The aerodynamic governing equation is given by using the infinite plate spline method and the modified linear piston theory.An improved fixed-interface modal synthesis method,which can reduce the rigid connections at the interface,is developed to save the problem size and computation time.The uniform temperature field is applied to create the thermal environment.For the linear flutter analyses,the flutter speed increases first and then decreases with the rise of the hinge stiffness due to the change of the flutter coupling mechanism.For the nonlinear analyses,a larger freeplay angle results in a higher vibration divergent speed.Two different types of limit cycle oscillations and a multiperiodic motion are observed in the wide range of airspeed under the linear flutter boundary.The linear flutter speed shows a slight descend in the thermal environment,but the effect of the temperature on the vibration divergent speed is different under different hinge stiffnesses when there exists freeplay. | Haonan HE Hong TANG Kaiping YU Jinze LI Ning YANG Xiaolei ZHANG | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,9: | 8 |
| 2 | Effect of central ventilation and air conditioner system on the concentration and health risk from airborne polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons显示文摘Central ventilation and air conditioner systems are widely utilized nowadays in public places for air exchange and temperature control,which significantly influences the transfer of pollutants between indoors and outdoors.To study the effect of central ventilation and air conditioner systems on the concentration and health risk from airborne pollutants,a spatial and temporal survey was carried out using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) as agent pollutants.During the period when the central ventilation system operated without air conditioning (AC-off period),concentrations of 2-4 ring PAHs in the model supermarket were dominated by outdoor levels,due to the good linearity between indoor air and outdoor air (rp>0.769,p<0.05),and the slopes (1.2-4.54) indicated that ventilating like the model supermarket increased the potential health risks from low molecular weight PAHs.During the period when the central ventilation and air conditioner systems were working simultaneously (AC-on period),although the total levels of PAHs were increased,the concentrations and percentage of the particulate PAHs indoors declined significantly.The BaP equivalency (BaPeq) concentration indicated that utilization of air conditioning reduced the health risks from PAHs in the model supermarket. | Jinze Lv Lizhong Zhu | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3: | 5 |

| 5 | Quercetin protects human brain microvascular endothelial cells from fibrillarβ-amyloid_(1–40)-induced toxicity显示文摘Amyloid beta-peptides(Aβ) are known to undergo active transport across the blood-brain barrier, and cerebral amyloid angiopathy has been shown to be a prominent feature in the majority of Alzheimer's disease. Quercetin is a natural flavonoid molecule and has been demonstrated to have potent neuroprotective effects, but its protective effect on endothelial cells under Aβ-damaged condition is unclear. In the present study, the protective effects of quercetin on brain microvascular endothelial cells injured by fibrillar Aβ_(1–40)(f Aβ_(1–40)) were observed. The results show that f Aβ_(1–40)-induced cytotoxicity in human brain microvascular endothelial cells(h BMECs) can be relieved by quercetin treatment. Quercetin increases cell viability, reduces the release of lactate dehydrogenase, and relieves nuclear condensation.Quercetin also alleviates intracellular reactive oxygen species generation and increases superoxide dismutase activity. Moreover, it strengthens the barrier integrity through the preservation of the transendothelial electrical resistance value, the relief of aggravated permeability, and the increase of characteristic enzyme levels after being exposed to f Aβ_(1–40). The morphology, structure, electrochemical and photocatalytic properties of as-prepared samples were characterized via the serial tests. The temperature-response performances of PNIPAM@ZnO/C were evaluated by the photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline(TC)under different temperatures. The results show that the synthesized composite photocatalysts possess the excellent and switchable photocatalytic activity. | 7 | Integrated microdevice with a windmill-like hole array for the clog-free,efficient,and self-mixing enrichment of circulating tumor cells显示文摘Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)have tremendous potential to indicate disease progression and monitor therapeutic response using minimally invasive approaches.Considering the limitations of affinity strategies based on their cost,effectiveness,and simplicity,size-based enrichment methods that involve low-cost,label-free,and relatively simple protocols have been further promoted.Nevertheless,the key challenges of these methods are clogging issues and cell aggregation,which reduce the recovery rates and purity.Inspired by the natural phenomenon that the airflow around a windmill is disturbed,in this study,a windmill-like hole array on the SU-8 membrane was designed to perturb the fluid such that cells in a fluid would be able to self-mix and that the pressure acting on cells or the membrane would be dispersed to allow a greater velocity.In addition,based on the advantages of fluid coatings,a lipid coating was used to modify the membrane surface to prevent cell aggregation and clogging of the holes.Under the optimal conditions,recovery rates of 93%and 90%were found for A549 and HeLa cells in a clinical simulation test of our platform with a CTC concentration of 20-100 cells per milliliter of blood.The white blood cell(WBC)depletion rate was 98.7%(n=15),and the CTC detection limit was less than 10 cells per milliliter of blood(n=6).Moreover,compared with conventional membrane filtration,the advantages of the proposed device for the rapid(2 mL/min)and efficient enrichment of CTCs without clogging were shown both experimentally and theoretically.Due to its advantages in the efficient,rapid,uniform,and clog-free enrichment of CTCs,our platform offers great potential for metastatic detection and therapy analyses. | Hao Li Jinze Li Zhiqi Zhang Zhen Guo Changsong Zhang Zixu Wang Qiuquan Guo Chao Li Chuanyu Li Jia Yao Anran Zheng Jingyi Xu Qingxue Gao Wei Zhang Lianqun Zhou | 2022 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,1: | 1 |

| 17 | Mathematical modeling of heat transfer in counter-current multiphase flow found in gas-drilling systems with formation fluid influx显示文摘The performance of gas-drilling(drilling oil and gas wells with air, nitrogen, or natural gas) is very unpredictable in many areas due to lack of proper design of drilling parameters because of limited understanding of gas–rock interaction which requires knowledge of heat transfer in the well system. Complete analysis of rock failure requires an accurate mathematical model to predict gas temperature at the bottom hole. The currently available mathematical models are unsuitable for use for the purpose because they do not consider the effects of formation fluid influx, Joule–Thomson cooling, and entrained drill cuttings. A new analytical solution for predicting gas temperature profiles inside the drill string and in the annulus was derived in this study for gas-drilling, considering all these three effects. | 19 | MnS hollow microspheres combined with carbon nanotubes for enhanced performance sodium-ion battery anode显示文摘MnS as anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)has recently attracted great attention because of the high theoretical capacity,great natural abundance,and low cost.However,it suffers from inferior electrical conductivity and large volume expansion during the charge/discharge process,leading to tremendous damage of electrodes and subsequently fast capacity fading.To mitigate these issues,herein,a three-dimensional(3D)interlaced carbon nanotubes(CNTs)threaded into or between MnS hollow microspheres(hollow MnS/CNTs composite)has been designed and synthesized as an enhanced anode material.It can effectively improve the electrical conductivity,buffer the volume change,and maintain the integrity of the electrode during the charging and discharging process based on the synergistic interaction and the integrative structure.Therefore,when evaluated as anode for SIBs,the hollow MnS/CNTs electrode displays enhanced reve rsible capacity(275 mAh/g at 100 mA/g after 100 cycles),which is much better than that of pure MnS electrode(25 mAh/g at 100 mA/g after 100 cycles)prepared without the addition of CNTs.Even increasing the current density to 500 mA/g,the hollow MnS/CNTs electrode still delivers a five times higher reversible capacity than that of the pure MnS electrode.The rate performance of the hollow MnS/CNTs electrode is also superior to that of pure MnS electrode at various current densities from 50 mA/g to 1000 mA/g. | Na Zhang Xin Li Tianyi Hou Jinze Guo Anran Fan Shibo Jin Xiaohong Sun Shu Cai Chunming Zheng | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5: | 1 |
