1A Novel 3D Non-Stationary UAV-MIMO Channel Model and Its Statistical Properties显示文摘The wireless communication systems based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) have found a wide range of applications recently. In this paper, we propose a new three-dimensional(3 D) non-stationary multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) channel model for the communication links between the UAV and mobile terminal(MT). The new model originates the traditional geometry-based stochastic models(GBSMs) but considers the non-stationary propagation environment due to the rapid movements of the UAV, MT, and clusters. Meanwhile, the upgrade time evolving algorithms of time-variant channel parameters, i.e., the path number based on birth-death processes of clusters, path delays, path powers, and angles of arrival and departure, are developed and optimized. In addition, the statistical properties of proposed GBSM including autocorrelation function(ACF), cross-correlation function(CCF), and Doppler power spectrum density(DPSD) are investigated and analyzed. 2Nanoparticles modified by polydopamine: Working as “drug” carriers显示文摘Inspired by the mechanism of mussel adhesion,polydopamine(PDA),a versatile polymer for surface modification has been discovered.Owing to its unique properties like extraordinary adhesiveness,excellent biocompatibility,mild synthesis requirements,as well as distinctive drug loading approach,strong photothermal conversion capacity and reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging facility,various PDA-modified nanoparticles have been desired as drug carriers.These nanoparticles with diverse nanostructures are exploited in multifunctions,consisting of targeting,imaging,chemical treatment(CT),photodynamic therapy(PDT),photothermal therapy(PTT),tissue regeneration ability,therefore have attracted great attentions in plenty biomedical applications.Herein,recent progress of PDA-modified nanoparticle drug carriers in cancer therapy,antibiosis,prevention of inflammation,theranostics,vaccine delivery and adjuvant,tissue repair and implant materials are reviewed,including preparation of PDA-modified nanoparticle drug carriers with various nanostructures and their drug loading strategies,basic roles of PDA surface modification,etc.The advantages of PDA modification in overcoming the existing limitations of cancer therapy,antibiosis,tissue repair and the developing trends in the future of PDA-modified nanoparticle drug carriers are also discussed.Anting Jin Yitong Wang Kaili Lin Lingyong Jiang 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:13

4Diabetes inhibits corneal epithelial cell migration and tight junction formation in mice and human via increasing ROS and impairing Akt signaling显示文摘Corneal wounds usually heal quickly;but diabetic patients have more fragile corneas and experience delayed and painful healing. In the present study, we compared the healing capacity of corneal epithelial cells (CECs) between normal and diabetic conditions and the potential mechanisms. Primary murine CEC derived from wild-type and diabetic (db/db) mice, as well as primary human CEC were prepared. Human CEC were exposed to high glucose (30 mM) to mimic diabetic conditions. Cell migration and proliferation were assessed using Scratch test and MTT assays, respectively. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in the cells was measured using dichlorofluorescein reagent. Western blot was used to evaluate the expression levels of Akt. Transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) and zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1) expression were used to determine tight junction integrity. We found that the diabetic CEC displayed significantly slower cell proliferation and migration compared with the normal CEC from both mice and humans. Furthermore, ROS production was markedly increased in CEC grown under diabetic conditions. Treatment with an antioxidant N-acetyl cysteine (NAC, 100 μM) significantly decreased ROS production and increased wound healing in diabetic CEC. Barrier function was significantly reduced in both diabetic mouse and human CEC, while NAC treatment mitigated these effects. We further showed that Akt signaling was impaired in diabetic CEC, which was partially improved by NAC treatment. These results show that diabetic conditions lead to delayed wound-healing capacity of CEC and impaired tight junction formation in both mice and human. 5Geochemistry and genesis of authigenic pyrite from gas hydrate accumulation system in the Qilian Mountain permafrost, Qinghai, northwest China显示文摘A type of authigenic pyrites that fully fill or semi-fill the rock fractures of drillholes with gas hydrate anomalies are found in the Qilian Mountain permafrost; this type of pyrite is known as 'fracture-filling' pyrite. The occurrence of 'fracture-filling' pyrite has a certain similarity with that of the hydrate found in this region, and the pyrite is generally concentrated in the lower part of the hydrate layer or the hydrate anomaly layer. The morphology, trace elements, rare earth elements, and sulfur isotope analyses of samples from drillhole DK-6 indicate that the 'fracture-filling' pyrites are dominated by cubic ones mainly aligned in a step-like fashion along the surfaces of rock fractures and are associated with a circular structure, lower Co/Ni and Sr/Ba, lower ?REE, higher LREE, significant Eu negative anomalies, and ? 34 SCDT positive bias. In terms of the pyrites' unique crystal morphology and geochemical characteristics and their relationship with the hydrate layers or abnormal layers, they are closely related with the accumulation system of the gas hydrate in the Qilian Mountain permafrost. As climate change is an important factor in affecting the stability of the gas hydrate, formation of fracture-filling pyrites is most likely closely related to the secondary change of the metastable gas hydrate under the regional climate warming. The distribution intensity of these pyrites indicates that when the gas hydrate stability zone(GHSZ) is narrowing, the hydrate decomposition at the bottom of the GHSZ is stronger than that at the top of the GHSZ, whereas the hydrate decomposition within the GHSZ is relatively weak. 10Ecological niches and blood sources of sand fly in an endemic focus of visceral leishmaniasis in Jiuzhaigou,Sichuan,China显示文摘Background:Sand fly Phlebotomus chinensis is a principle vector for the visceral leishmaniasis(VL)in China with a wide geographic distribution.Jiuzhaigou,Sichuan is a mountain type endemic area of VL in China.Long term effective control efforts in the region have successfully reduced VL transmission.To assess the current status of the sand flies and their ecological aspects in the region,a survey was conducted in the summer of 2014 and 2015.Methods:Sand fly specimens were collected by light traps in a village and blood sources were identified by PCR and sequencing of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene.Results:In a rock cave,65.2%–79.8%of collected sand flies were male.On a rabbit farm,92.9%–98.8%of specimens were female.In pig pens,61.1%of specimens were female.Some females had visible blood residues.The feeding rate was 49.4%from the pig pens,12.3%from the cave,and only 1.7%from the rabbit farm.Pig,rabbit,chicken,dog,and human blood were detected in the fed specimens.Swine blood,present in all tested samples,was a preferred blood source,while chicken and dog blood were present in a third of the samples.Conclusions:In Jiuzhaigou County,Sichuan Province of China,the considerable sandfly density and the peridomestic feeding behavior all increases the risk of VL transmission,and insecticide spraying in animal sheds could be exploited to reduce sand fly populations in human surroundings.Huiying Chen Kaili Li Hua Shi Yong Zhang Yu Ha Yan Wang Jinjin Jiang Yubin Wang Zhenzhou Yang Jiannong Xu Yajun Ma 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:3

12Monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube composite with integrated rewriting, actuating and sensing multifunctions显示文摘Multifunctionality has become a mainstream trend in the development of smart clothing and flexible wearable devices.Nevertheless,it remains a grand challenge to realize multiple functions,such as sensing,actuating and information displaying,in one single multifunctional material.Here,we present one multifunctional integration strategy by employing monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)composite,which can leverage three different functions through fascinating features of SACNT.Firstly,by using thermochromic dye as a color-memorizing component and SACNT as a photothermal converter,the composite film can be utilized as a flexible rewritable medium.It demonstrates excellent rewriting performances(reversibility>500 times).Secondly,the composite can be tailored to fabricate an actuator,when its length direction is along the SACNT alignment.The actuator shows a bending-morphing when illuminated by near-infrared light.The morphing is attributed to a large difference in volume change between the SACNT and polymer when the SACNT absorbs the optical energy and heats the composite.Thirdly,owing to the unique anisotropy of SACNT,the composite is easily to be stretched in the direction perpendicular to the SACNT alignment,accompanied by a change in electrical resistance.Therefore,the composite is able to be used as a strain sensor.Finally,we fabricate two smart wearable devices to demonstrate the applications,which realize the functions of human-motion detection(sensing)and rewritable information display(rewriting)simultaneously.This multifunctional SACNT composite is expected to have potential applications in the next-generation wearable devices,smart clothing and so on.Peidi Zhou Wei Zhang Luzhuo Chen Jian Lin Zhiling Luo Changhong Liu Kaili Jiang 2021Nano Research2021,14,7:2

14High temperature performance of coaxial h-BN/CNT wires above 1,000 ℃:Thermionic electron emission and thermally activated conductivity显示文摘The development of wires and cables that can tolerate extremely high temperatures will be very important for probing extreme environments, such as in solar exploration, fire disasters, high-temperature materials processing, aeronautics and astronautics. In this paper, a lightweight high-temperature coaxial h-boron nitride (BN)/carbon nanotube (CNT) wire is synthesized by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) epitaxial growth of h-BN on CNT yarn. The epitaxially grown h-BN acts as both an insulating material and a jacket that protects against oxidation. It has been shown that the thermionic electron emission (1,200 K) and thermally activated conductivity (1,000 K) are two principal mechanisms for insulation failure of h-BN at high temperatures. The thermionic emission of h-BN can provide the work function of h-BN, which ranges from 4.22 to 4.61 eV in the temperature range of 1,306-1,787 K. The change in the resistivity of h-BN with temperature follows the ohmic conduction model of an insulator, and it can provide the “electron activation energy”(the energy from the Fermi level to the conduction band of h-BN), which ranges from 2.79 to 3.08 eV, corresponding to a band gap for h-BN ranging from 5.6 to 6.2 eV. However, since the leakage current is very small, both phenomena have no obvious influence on the signal transmission at the working temperature. This lightweight coaxial h-BN/CNT wire can tolerate 1,200 ℃ in air and can transmit electrical signals as normal. 15A comparative study of proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells in β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP), forsterite (Mg_2SiO_4 ) and clinoenstatite (MgSiO_3)显示文摘In this study, the effects of forsterite and clinoenstatite powder extracts on the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) were investigated and compared with the β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) powder extracts. Methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and live-dead staining were performed to evaluate the viability and proliferation of rat ASCs. Osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs were assayed by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining and ALP activity test. The expression of osteogenic marker genes (alkaline phosphatase (ALP), runt related transcription factor 2 (Runx2), collagen type Iα1 (Col1α1), secreted phosphoprotein1 (Spp1, osteopontin), integrin binding sialoprotein (Ibsp), bone gla protein (Bglap)) were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The MTT assay and the live-dead staining showed that all the three ceramics possessed good cytocompatibility with rat ASCs. Furthermore, forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the proliferation of rat ASCs compared with β-TCP. The results of the ALP activity test and the real-time PCR demonstrated that forsterite and clinoenstatite promoted the osteogenic differentiation of rat ASCs. 17Direct laser patterning of two-dimensional lateral transition metal disulfide-oxide-disulfide heterostructures for ultrasensitive sensors显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)heterostructures based on the combination of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)and transition metal oxides(TMOs)have aroused growing attention due to their integrated merits of both components and multiple functionalities.However,nondestructive approaches of constructing TMD-TMO heterostructures are still very limited.Here,we develop a novel type of lateral TMD-TMO heterostructure(NbS2-Nb2O5-NbS2)using a simple lithography-free,direct laser-patterning technique.The perfect contact of an ultrathin TMO channel(Nb2O5)with two metallic TMDs(NbS2)electrodes guarantee strong electrical signals in a two-terminal sensor.Distinct from sensing mechanisms in separate TMOs or TMDs,this sensor works based on the modulation of surface conduction of the ultrathin TMO(Nb2O5)channel through an adsorbed layer of water molecules.The sensor thus exhibits high selectivity and ultrahigh sensitivity for room-temperature detection of NH3(ΔR/R=80%at 50 ppm),superior to the reported NH3 sensors based on 2D materials,and a positive temperature coefficient of resistance as high as 15%–20%/℃.Bending-invariant performance and high reliability are also demonstrated in flexible versions of sensors.Our work provides a new strategy of lithography-free processing of novel TMD-TMO heterostructures towards high-performance sensors,showing great potential in the applications of future portable and wearable electronics.Bolun Wang Hao Luo Xuewen Wang Enze Wang Yufei Sun Yu-Chien Tsai Jinxuan Dong Peng Liu Huanglong Li Yong Xu Sefaattin Tongay Kaili Jiang Shoushan Fan Kai Liu 2020Nano Research2020,13,8:1
