1Synergistic co-removal of zinc(Ⅱ) and cefazolin by a Fe/amine-modified chitosan composite显示文摘A novel Fe/amine modified chitosan composite(Fe/N-CS) was facilely synthesized and showed higher affinity to both Zn(Ⅱ) and cefazolin(CEF) than its precursors.Synergistic co-adsorption of them by Fe/NCS was observed in varied conditions.The adsorption amount maximally increased by 100.1% for Zn and68.2% for CEF in bi-solute systems.The initial adsorption rate of Zn(Ⅱ) also improved with CEF.The increasing temperature facilitated coadsorption.The results of the preloading tests,FTIR/XPS characterizations and DFT calculations suggested that(1) both polyamines and Fe sites participated in the adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) and CEF,(2) Zn(Ⅱ) could serve as a new efficient site for CEF,forming [amineZn-CEF]/[FeOH-Zn-CEF] ternary complexes,and(3) the co-presence of CEF shielded the electrostatic repulsion between protonated amines and Zn(Ⅱ),contributing to the enhancement of Zn(Ⅱ) adsorption.Further,the ion strength exerted positive and negative influences on the adsorption of Zn(Ⅱ) and CEF,respectively.Additionally,CEF and Zn(Ⅱ) were successively recovered by 0.1 mol/L NaOH followed by2 mmol/L HCl.Fe/N-CS could be stably reused five times.The findings imply that Fe/N-CS is promising for the highly efficient co-removal of concurrent heavy metals and antibiotics.Chen Ling Yixuan Zhao Zixi Ren Jiangang Han Changqing Zhu Fu-Qiang Liu 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:4
2RNA-binding Protein UNR Promotes Glioma Cell Migration and Regulates the Expression of Ribosomal Protein L9显示文摘Objective To investigate the role of RNA binding protein—upstream-of-N-Ras(UNR)in the development of glioma and its molecular mechanism.Methods First,bioinformatics analysis of CGGA database was performed to detect UNR expression level and prognosis of patients with glioma.Western blot and real-time PCR were used to detect UNR expression level in glioma cell lines and tissues.Next,UNR siRNAs were transfected in glioma cells,and MTS assay and scratch wound-healing assay were used to detect changes in cell proliferation and migration.Then,the candidate UNR target mRNAs were identified by analyzing the sequencing data of UNR iCLIP-seq,RNA sequencing and ribosome profiling databases of human melanoma.RNA immunoprecipitation and biotin pull-down assays were used to identify the UNR target mRNAs in glioma cells.Finally,western blot was used to detect the effect of UNR knockdown on ribosomal protein L9(RPL9)and RPL9 protein expression level in glioma cell lines.RPL9 siRNA was transfected in A172 and T98G and the expression of vimentin in the cells was detected with western blot.Results Bioinformatics analysis showed that UNR mRNA expression level was significantly higher in highgrade glioma[GradeⅡ(n=126),GradeⅢ(n=51),GradeⅣ(n=128),P<0.001].UNR high expression levels were associated with poor prognosis(P=0.0177).UNR had high expression level in glioma cell lines and patient samples compared with normal cell lines and normal brain samples(P<0.01).Knockdown of UNR inhibited glioma cells migration(P<0.05),but did not inhibit glioma cells growth in three glioma cell lines.UNR binded the 3’untranslated region(UTR)of PTEN and RPL9 mRNAs.RPL9 protein was significantly highly expressed in most glioma cell lines(n=9)and knockdown of UNR resulted in a downregulation of RPL9 protein expression.Ningyu Tian Yingjiao Qi Yan Hu Bin Yin Jiangang Yuan Boqin Qiang Xiaozhong Peng Wei Han 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,3:1

13Polypyrimidine Tract-Binding Protein Regulates Enterovirus 71 Translation Through Interaction with the Internal Ribosomal Entry Site显示文摘Enterovirus 71(EV71), a major causative agent of hand, foot, and mouth disease, has caused periodic infection outbreaks in children in the Asia–Pacific region. In order to describe the largely unknown life cycle of EV71, the molecular basis of its virus-host interactions must first be determined. The 50 untranslated region of EV71 contains a cloverleaf-like structure and internal ribosomal entry site(IRES), which play an important role in transcription and translation of viral protein. We found that polypyrimidine tract-binding protein 1(PTB) bound to the IRES of EV71. RNA recognition motifs 1 and 2 of PTB were responsible for its binding to the EV71 IRES. Moreover, PTB protein was shuttled from nucleus to cytoplasm after EV71 infection. Additionally, IRES activity and viral protein production were inhibited by PTB knockdown. 14Reductase activity of human thioredoxin-like protein and its effects on cell apoptosis显示文摘Thioredoxin is a ubiquitous dithiol oxidoreductase found in many organisms and involved in numerous biochemical processes. Human thioredoxin-like protein (hTRXL) is differentially expressed at different development stages of human fetal cerebrum and belongs to an expanding family of thioredoxins. Recombinant hTRXL and truncated hTRXLs corresponding to the N-terminal (hTRXL-N) and C-terminal (hTRXL-C) domains are expressed and purified. In insulin disulfide reduction assay, both full-length hTRXL and hTRXL-N show reducing activity for the insulin disulfide bonds. As expected, the hTRXL-C failed to reduce insulin. 15Preparation and photodetection performance of high crystalline quality and large size β-Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires显示文摘Ultrawide band gap semiconductors are promising solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)photodetector materials due to their suitable bandgap,strong absorption and high sensitivity.Here,β-Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires with high crystal quality and large size were grown by the chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The microwires reach up to 1 cm in length and were single crystalline with low defect density.Owing to its high crystal quality,a metal–semiconductor–metal photodetector fabricated from a Ga_(2)O_(3)microwire showed a responsivity of 1.2 A/W at 240 nm with an ultrahigh UV/visible rejection ratio(R_(peak)/R_(400 nm))of 5.8×10^(5),indicating that the device has excellent spectral selectivity.In addition,no obvious persistent photoconductivity was observed in the test.The rise and decay time constants of the device were 0.13 and 0.14 s,respectively.This work not only provides a growth method for high-quality Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires,but also demonstrates the excellent performance of Ga_(2)O_(3)microwires in solar-blind ultraviolet detection.Yuefei Wang Yurui Han Chong Gao Bingsheng Li Jiangang Ma Haiyang Xu Aidong Shen Yichun Liu 2023Journal of Semiconductors2023,44,6:0
16Design optimized intermixed phase by tuning polymer-fullerene intercalation for free charge generation显示文摘The inte rmixed phase is important in effective charge separation due to the formation of cascaded energy landscape between intermixed phase and pure phases in polymer/fullerene solar cells.However,the quantitative relationship between the charge separation and the content of intermixed phase has not been investigated clearly so far.Here,we proposed to tune the content of the polymer/PC71BM intermixed phase by cha nging the polymer solution conformatio n.Poly[2,5-bis(3-tetradecylthiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene](PBTTT)and PC71 BM was selected as a model system.The organization of the PBTTT in solution promotes the formation of ordered aggregates as aging time increases,the interdigitation of side-chains restricts the intercalation of PC71 BM.Therefore,the intermixed phase formed by intercalation PC71 BM to PBTTT side chain can be controlled.When the aging time increasing from 0 to 80 min,the extent of inte rcalation gradually from almost complete intercalated phase to almost non-intercalated.As the content of intercalated phase is about 11%,the charge dissociation is most efficie nt and short circuit current(Jsc)increased from 1.60 mA/cm2 to 4.94 mA/cm2,leading to optimized device performance.Qiang Zhang Jiangang Liu Xinhong Yu Yanchun Han 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,7:0
17Phosphorus-doped lithium- and manganese-rich layered oxide cathode material for fast charging lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Owing to their high theoretical specific capacity and low cost, lithium- and manganese-rich layered oxide (LMR) cathode materials are receiving increasing attention for application in lithium-ion batteries. However, poor lithium ion and electron transport kinetics plus side effects of anion and cation redox reactions hamper power performance and stability of the LMRs. In this study, LMR Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.6)Ni_(0.2)O_(2) was modified by phosphorus (P)-doping to increase Li+ conductivity in the bulk material. This was achieved by increasing the interlayer spacing of the lithium layer, electron transport and structural stability, resulting in improvement of the rate and safety performance. P^(5+) doping increased the distance between the (003) crystal planes from ~0.474 nm to 0.488 nm and enhanced the structural stability by forming strong covalent bonds with oxygen atoms, resulting in an improved rate performance (capacity retention from 38% to 50% at 0.05 C to 5 C) and thermal stability (50% heat release compared with pristine material). First-principles calculations showed the P-doping makes the transfer of excited electrons from the valence band to conduction band easier and P can form a strong covalent bond helping to stabilize material structure. 18Photoactivation of peroxymonosulfate by wood pulp cellulose biochar/g-C_(3)N_(4)composite for diclofenac degradation:the radical and nonradical pathways显示文摘Metal-free photocatalysts have attracted growing concern recently.Herein,the composites combining g-C_(3)N_(4)with wood pulp cellulose biochar(WPBC/g-C_(3)N_(4))were synthesized to effectively activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)under visible light for the degradation of diclofenac(DCF).The incorporation of WPBC endowed g-C_(3)N_(4)with enhanced visible light absorption,improved charge separation capability,reduced electrical conductivity,and increased photocatalytic and PMS activation capability.Based on quenching tests,electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR),electrochemical analysis and solvent exchange experiments,both radical and nonradical mechanisms were proposed.Radical species including·OH,h^(+),·O_(2)^(-)were identified to contribute to DCF degradation.The 1O2 and electron transfer were the dominant nonradical pathways for DCF degradation.Moreover,the common influencing factors were examined,and DCF concentration was the most influential factor based on principal component analysis.Generally,the composites exhibited good reusability during consecutive runs.Based on HPLC/MS analysis,four intermediates were detected and the possible DCF degradation pathway was proposed.This work provided a potential strategy based on metal-free WPBC/g-C_(3)N_(4)for the photocatalytic activation of PMS to effectively degrade emerging contaminants in wastewater.Yu Han Lu Gan Han Gong Jiangang Han Weichuan Qiao Lijie Xu 2022Biochar2022,4,1:0
19Controlling PCBM aggregation in P3HT/PCBM film by a selective solvent vapor annealing显示文摘A selective solvent vapor, i.e., cyclohexanone or isopropyl benzene, which is a poor solvent for poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) and a good solvent for fullerene derivative [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), was employed to reduce the size of PCBM aggregates and prolong the formation time of big PCBM aggregates in P3HT/PCBM film. PCBM nucleates and aggregates of 10-20 nm scale form in the first few minutes annealing. Then the size of PCBM aggregates kept unchanged until annealing for 60 min. Finally, larger PCBM aggregates of micron-size formed hours later. On the contrary, the growth rate of PCBM aggregates was faster and their size was larger when treated with a good solvent vapor for both components. The P3HT crystallinity was the same with different types of annealing solvents, although the rate of P3HT self-organization was decreased after a selective solvent vapor annealing. 20A meta-analysis of randomized trials of maintenance bacillus Calmette-Guerin instillation efficacy against recurrence of T1G3 bladder tumor显示文摘Meta-analysis was used to determine whether maintenance intravesical bacillus Calmette-Guerin(BCG)could reduce recurrence after transurethral resection of tumor 1 grade 3(T1G3)superficial bladder cancer.All available published data of randomized clinical trials comparing transurethral resection plus intravesical BCG to either resection alone or resection plus another treat-ment on the treatment results in patients with superficial bladder cancer of T1G3 were selected for analysis.Both the fixed effects model and random effects model were applied,and the odds ratio(OR)with its 95%confidence interval(CI)was used as the effect size estimate.Sensitivity analysis and publication bias determination were performed by funnel plots and comparing ORs of different models.Within the follow-up period,375 of 915(41.0%)BCG-treated patients and 332 of 733(45.3%)non-BCG-treated patients developed tumor recurrence.In the combined results,a statistically signifi-cant difference in the ORs for tumor recurrence between the two treatment groups was found(randomized model combined effect OR 0.58,95%CI 0.41 to 0.83,P 50.003).The stratified meta-analysis did not show any statistically significant confounding effects on the results when strati-fied by BCG strains.The randomized model combined effect OR of Pasteur F and other strains were 0.50(95%CI 0.26 to 0.95,P 50.04)and 0.63(95%CI 0.40 to 0.99,P 50.04),respectively.Therefore,we came to the conclu-sion that adjuvant maintenance instillation BCG com-bined with transurethral resection of bladder tumor(TURBT)is an effective conservative treatment for pre-venting recurrence of T1G3 bladder cancer.Jiangang PAN Xing ZHOU Ruifa HAN Zhiguang CHEN 2008Frontiers of Medicine2008,2,3:0
