2Dye removal by eco-friendly physically cross-linked double network polymer hydrogel beads and their functionalized composites显示文摘Hydrogels have attracted large attention in wastewater treatment fields due to their low-cost and good interaction with pollutants,among which novel double network hydrogel is an outstanding class.To expand the application of double network hydrogel in water treatment,in this study,eco-friendly physically cross-linked double network polymer hydrogel beads(DAP)are prepared and studied in depth on the mechanism of Methylene Blue(MB)adsorption;and then the polymer hydrogels are further functionalized by inorganic materials.MB adsorption on DAP favors alkaline condition which is due to the increase of electrostatic attraction and adsorption site,and it reaches equilibrium within 10 hr,which is faster than that of the single network hydrogel beads(SAP).Through thermodynamics study,the process shows to be an exothermic and spontaneous process.The adsorption isotherms are well fitted by Langmuir model,with a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 1437.48 mg/g,which is larger than SAP(1255.75 mg/g).After being functionalized with common inorganic materials including activated carbon,Fe_3O_4and graphene oxide(GO),the composites show to have larger pore sizes and have obvious increases in adsorption capacity especially the one contains GO.Then the composites contains Fe_3O_4are used as heterogeneous Fenton catalyst which shows to have excellent performance in MB degradation.The results indicate the potential of polymer double network to be functionalized in environmental areas.Yan Kong Yuan Zhuang Zhiyong Han Jianwei Yu Baoyou Shi Kun Han Haotian Hao 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,4:5

5Effect of Lithium Nitrate on the Structure and Property of α-Al2O3 Platelets Prepared via Solid-state Reaction显示文摘The α-Al_2O_3 platelets were prepared via solid-state reactions and the effect of the amount of lithium nitrate additive on the property of the platelets was investigated. The ICP results indicated that the high temperature calcination process resulted in a large loss of lithium species because of volatilization, but there was still a small amount of residual lithium species in the α-Al_2O_3 platelets. The SEM micrographs showed that lithium nitrate led to decrease in the thickness of α-Al_2O_3 platelets and irregular morphology of aggregates. Pore structures results exhibited that addition of lithium nitrate led to decrease in the pore size and increase in the specific surface area of aggregates of α-Al_2O_3 platelets. The XRD and IR patterns suggested that the residual lithium and aluminum oxide formed LiAl_5O_8. 6Self-Navigated 3D Acoustic Tweezers in Complex Media Based on Time Reversal显示文摘Acoustic tweezers have great application prospects because they allow noncontact and noninvasive manipulation of microparticles in a wide range of media.However,the nontransparency and heterogeneity of media in practical applications complicate particle trapping and manipulation.In this study,we designed a 1.04 MHz 256-element 2D matrix array for 3D acoustic tweezers to guide and monitor the entire process using real-time 3D ultrasonic images,thereby enabling acoustic manipulation in nontransparent media.Furthermore,we successfully performed dynamic 3D manipulations on multiple microparticles using multifoci and vortex traps.We achieved 3D particle manipulation in heterogeneous media(through resin baffle and ex vivo macaque and human skulls)by introducing a method based on the time reversal principle to correct the phase and amplitude distortions of the acoustic waves.Our results suggest cutting-edge applications of acoustic tweezers such as acoustical drug delivery,controlled micromachine transfer,and precise treatment.Ye Yang Teng Ma Sinan Li Qi Zhang Jiqing Huang Yifei Liu Jianwei Zhuang Yongchuan Li Xuemin Du Lili Niu Yang Xiao Congzhi Wang Feiyan Cai Hairong Zheng 2021Research2021,,1:1
7Polyethylene glycol/polylactic acid block co‐polymers as solid–solid phase change materials显示文摘Phase change materials(PCMs)are promising thermal energy storage materials due to their high specific latent heat.Conventional PCMs typically exploit the solid–liquid(s–l)transition.However,leakage and leaching are common issues for solid–liquid PCMs,which have to be addressed before usage in practical applications.In contrast,solid–solid(s–s)PCMs would naturally overcome these issues due to their inherent form stability and homogeneity.In this study,we report a new type of s–s PCM based on chemically linked polyethylene glycol(PEG,the PCM portion)with polylactic acid(PLA,the support portion)in the form of a block co‐polymer.Solid‐solid latent heat of up to 56 J/g could be achieved,with melting points of between 44°C and 55°C.For comparison,PEG was physically mixed into a PLA matrix to form a PEG:PLA composite.However,the composite material saw leakage of up to 9%upon heating,with a corresponding loss in thermal storage capacity.In contrast,the mPEG/PLA block co‐polymers were found to be completely homogeneous and thermally stable even when heated above its phase transition temperature,with no observable leakage,demonstrating the superiority of chemical linking strategies in ensuring form stability.Xiang YDSoo Joseph K.Muiruri Jayven CCYeo Zhuang MPng Anqi Sng Huiqing Xie Rong Ji Suxi Wang Hongfei Liu Jianwei Xu Xian JLoh Qingyu Yan Zibiao Li Qiang Zhu 2023SmartMat2023,4,3:1

9Quantum Homomorphic Signature with Repeatable Verification显示文摘In January 2015,the first quantum homomorphic signature scheme was proposed creatively.However,only one verifier is allowed to verify a signature once in this scheme.In order to support repeatable verification for general scenario,we propose a new quantum homomorphic signature scheme with repeatable verification by introducing serial verification model and parallel verification model.Serial verification model solves the problem of signature verification by combining key distribution and Bell measurement.Parallel verification model solves the problem of signature duplication by logically treating one particle of an EPR pair as a quantum signature and physically preparing a new EPR pair.These models will be beneficial to the signature verification of general scenarios.Scheme analysis shows that both intermediate verifiers and terminal verifiers can successfully verify signatures in the same operation with fewer resource consumption,and especially the verified signature in entangled states can be used repeatedly.Tao Shang Zhuang Pei Ranyiliu Chen Jianwei Liu 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,4:0
10Interval stability/stabilization of impulsive positive systems显示文摘This paper investigates the criterion of interval stability of impulsive positive systems with timevarying delay using the idea of generalized pole placement and equivalent systems.Unlike previous stability conditions,the interval stability criterion can more accurately determine the stability of impulsive positive systems.In simple terms,the new criterion can determine the system’s stability and convergence speed.Furthermore,a suitable sufficient condition of interval stabilization is obtained on the basis of the interval stability criterion,which can not only guarantee the stability of impulsive positive systems,but also modulate the state’s convergence rate to the required level.A new algorithm is developed with the interval stabilization approach to accurately control the target system’s convergence rate.Two instances are proposed to prove the superiority of the attainable interval stabilization criterion.Xuezhen WANG Huasheng ZHANG Jianwei XIA Wei SUN Guangming ZHUANG 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,1:0
11Data Completion for Power Load Analysis Considering the Low-rank Property显示文摘With large-scale applications,the loss of power load data during transmission is inevitable.This paper proposes a data completion method considering the low rank property of the data.According to the low-rank property of data and numerical experiments,we find either the linear interpolation(LI)or the singular value decomposition(SVD)based method is superior to other methods depending on the smoothness of the data.We construct an index to measure the smoothness of data,and propose the SVDLI algorithm which adaptively selects different algorithms for data completion according to the index.Numerical simulations show that irrespective of the smoothness of data,the data complementing results of SVDLI are comparable to or better than the best of SVD or LI algorithms.The present study is verified using the measurements in China,and the public data of the Australian electricity distribution company and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.Chijie Zhuang Jianwei An Zhaoqiang Liu Rong Zeng 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,6:0
12Kinetochore protein MAD1 participates in the DNA damage response through ataxia-telangiectasia mutated kinase-mediated phosphorylation and enhanced interaction with KU80显示文摘Objective:Mitotic arrest-deficient protein 1(MAD1)is a kinetochore protein essential for the mitotic spindle checkpoint.Proteomic studies have indicated that MAD1 is a component of the DNA damage response(DDR)pathway.However,whether and how MAD1 might be directly involved in the DDR is largely unknown.Methods:We ectopically expressed the wild type,or a phosphorylation-site--mutated form of MAD1 in MAD1 knockdown cells to look for complementation effects.We used the comet assay,colony formation assay,immunofluorescence staining,and flow cytometry to assess the DDR,radiosensitivity,and the G2/M checkpoint.We employed co-immunoprecipitation followed by mass spectrometry to identify MAD1 interacting proteins.Data were analyzed using the unpaired Student'st-test.Results:We showed that MAD1 was required for an optimal DDR,as knocking down MAD1 resulted in impaired DNA repair and hypersensitivity to ionizing radiation(IR).We found that IR-induced serine 214 phosphorylation was ataxia-telangiectasia mutated(ATM)kinase-dependent.Mutation of serine 214 to alanine failed to rescue the phenotypes of MAD1 knockdown cells in response to IR.Using mass spectrometry,we identified a protein complex mediated by MAD1 serine 214 phosphorylation in response to IR.Among them,we showed that KU80 was a key protein that displayed enhanced interaction with MAD1 after DNA damage.Finally,we showed that MAD1 interaction with KU80 required serine 214 phosphorylation,and it was essential for activation of DNA protein kinases catalytic subunit(DNA-PKcs).Conclusions:MAD1 serine 214 phosphorylation mediated by ATM kinase in response to IR was required for the interaction with KU80 and activation of DNA-PKCs.Mingming Xiao Xuesong Li Yang Su Zhuang Liu Yamei Han Shuai Wang Qinghua Zeng Hong Liu Jianwei Hao Bo Xu 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,3:0

14Joint specular highlight detection and removal in single images via Unet-Transformer显示文摘Specular highlight detection and removal is a fundamental problem in computer vision and image processing.In this paper,we present an efficient endto-end deep learning model for automatically detecting and removing specular highlights in a single image.In particular,an encoder–decoder network is utilized to detect specular highlights,and then a novel Unet-Transformer network performs highlight removal;we append transformer modules instead of feature maps in the Unet architecture.We also introduce a highlight detection module as a mask to guide the removal task.Thus,these two networks can be jointly trained in an effective manner.Thanks to the hierarchical and global properties of the transformer mechanism,our framework is able to establish relationships between continuous self-attention layers,making it possible to directly model the mapping between the diffuse area and the specular highlight area,and reduce indeterminacy within areas containing strong specular highlight reflection.Experiments on public benchmark and real-world images demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods for both highlight detection and removal tasks.Zhongqi Wu Jianwei Guo Chuanqing Zhuang Jun Xiao Dong-Ming Yan Xiaopeng Zhang 2023Computational Visual Media2023,9,1:0
