| 1 | SOIL AGGREGATE AND ITS RESPONSE TO LAND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES显示文摘This paper provides a broad review of the existing study on soil aggregate and its responses to land management practices. Soil aggregate is used for structural unit, which is a group of primary soil particles that cohere to each other more strongly than other surrounding particles. The mechanism of soil particle aggregation may be expressed by a hierarchical model, which is based upon the hypothesis that macroaggregates (>250 μm) are collections of smaller microaggregates (<250 μm) held together with organic binding agents. Primary particles form microaggregates and then macroaggregates. Carbon (C)-rich young plant residues form and stabilize macroaggregates, whereas old organic C is occluded in the microaggregates. The interaction of aggregate dynamics with soil organic carbon (SOC) is complex and embraces a range of spatial and temporal processes within macroaggregates and microaggregates. The nature and properties of aggregates are determined by the quantity and quality of coarse residues and humic compounds and by the degree of their interaction with soil particles. The mechanisms resulting in the binding of primary soil particles into stable aggregates vary with soil parent material, climate, vegetation, and land management practices. Land management prac- tices, including tillage methods, residue management, amendments, and soil fertility management, enhance soil aggre- gation. | 2 | Land use change and its corresponding ecological responses:a review显示文摘This paper reviews the research on land use change and its corresponding ecological responses. Patterns of land use changes in spatio-temporal level are produced by the interaction of biophysical and socio-economic processes. Nowadays, the studies derived from different socioeconomic conditions and scales show that at short-term scale, human activities, rather than natural forces, have become a major force in shaping the environment, while biophysical factors control the trends and processes of land use change under the macro environmental background. | 3 | Mountain Land Use Planning of Metropolitan Suburbs:the Case of the Jinyun Mountain and Its Surrounding area,Chongqing,China显示文摘Open space of metropolitan suburbs in mountain region,has been increasingly becoming the coupling mosaic structure of industrial actions and landscape behaviors. However,the local governments,when making land use planning,often aim at economic development,and rarely refer to the coordination of compatibilities and conflicts between industrial actions and landscape behaviors in the mosaic structure. In this study land use in the Jinyun Mountain and its surrounding area,Chongqing is adjusted by gray multi-objective programming approach and local-level decision-making process to cope with conflicts between objectives for human welfare and objectives for landscape conservation. The results indicate that: 1) the compatibilities and conflicts among different behavior characters and different landscape types result in the compatibilities of landscape to human behavior;2) a land use planning in the study area is produced based on the sustainable land use and social-eco development,which pays more attention to the resources and environment constraints and economic objectives,and follows the distribution law of rare resources;3) in the study area,cultivated land of 1,207.27 ha can meet the demands for food and byproducts by the residents there,orchard land and forestland of 632.55 ha,2,276.61 ha,respectively can provide enough space for the local people to improve their living structure and meet their demands for recreational activities,and urban residential land,rural residential land,mining land and transportation land of 1,107.60 ha,120.27 ha,162.48 ha,100.91 ha,respectively can satisfy the resident’s economic development and infrastructures;4) the equilibrium among industrial actions,landscape accessibility and ecological conservation can be obtained by analyzing the possible impacts of human activities on landscape ecological process in open space of metropolitan suburbs in mountain areas. | SHAO Jingan WEI Chaofu XIE Deti | 2005 | Journal of Mountain Science2005,2,2: | 14 |
| 4 | Investigation of Mg–Zn–Y–Nd alloy for potential application of biodegradable esophageal stent material显示文摘In recent years,due to unhealthy dietary habits and other reasons,advanced esophageal cancer patients are on the rise,threatening human health and life safety at all times.Stents implantation as an important complementary or alternative method for chemotherapy has been widely applied in clinics.However,the adhesion and proliferation of pathological cells,such as tumor cells,fibroblasts and epithelial cells,may interfere the efficacy of stents.Further multiple implantation due to restenosis may also bring pain to patients.In this contribution,we preferred a biodegradable material Mg–Zn–Y–Nd alloy for potential application of esophageal stent.The hardness testing showed that Mg–Zn–Y–Nd alloy owned less mechanical properties compared with the commercial esophageal stents material,317L stainless steel(317L SS),while Mg–Zn–Y–Nd displayed significantly better biodegradation than 317L SS.Cell apoptosis assay indicated Mg–Zn–Y–Nd inhibited adhesion and proliferation of tumor cells,fibroblasts and epithelial cells.Our research suggested potential application of Mg–Zn–Y–Nd alloy as a novel material for biodegradable esophageal stent. | Shuo Wang Xueqi Zhang Jingan Li Changsheng Liu Shaokang Guan | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,1: | 7 |
| 5 | Mg-Zn-Y-Nd coated with citric acid and dopamine by layer-by-layer self-assembly to improve surface biocompatibility显示文摘Magnesium alloy has been generally accepted as an important biodegradable material on cardiovascular stent development for a long time. However, its limited biocompatibility, especially delayed endothelialization process restricts its further application. In this contribution, we modified the Mg-Zn-Y-Nd alloy surface with citric acid and dopamine via a layer-by-layer self-assembly assay, aiming at improving the biocompatibility of the magnesium alloy. The citric acid/dopamine(CA/PDA) layer exhibited a remarkable suppression of platelet activation/aggregation and thrombosis under 15 dyn/cm2 blood flowing. Inhibition on vascular smooth muscle cells growth and macrophages attachment/activation were also observed on this layer. In particular, the CA/PDA layer presented a promoted property for the vascular endothelial cells growth and spreading compared with the bare magnesium alloy, suggesting the pro-endotelialized function. | 7 | A study on solid density primary standard显示文摘The accuracy of solid density primary standard is decided mainly by the accuracy of the diameter measurement of silicon sphere. With traditional five-interferogram algorithm to unwrap phase for di- ameter measurement, the phase steps should be equal to π/2 exactly, but this is almost impossible to achieve in nanometer positioning technique. In order to overcome this defect, we have derived an im- proved five-interferogram algorithm, which not only keeps the high accuracy of traditional five-inter- ferogram algorithm, but also does not require absolute equal step to unwrap phase. Instead, the im- proved five-interferogram algorithm only needs measuring phase shifting. Based on the improved al- gorithm, we have developed a novel interferometer with special etalon, and the cavity length of this etalon can be changed by pressure from vertical direction to realize phase shifting. | 8 | Paleotemperature variations at Lake Caohai, southwestern China, during the past 500 years:Evidence from combined δ^(18)O analysis of cellulose and carbonates显示文摘The oxygen isotopic values of aquatic plant cellulose and carbonates in Lake Caohai sediments were measured using a continuous flow isotopic ratio mass spectrometer(CF-IRMS).Because of predictable oxygen isotopic fractionation between cellulose and its source water,the oxygen isotopic composition of paleo-lake water has been established quantitatively.Combined oxygen isotopic values of cellulose and carbonates were used in the‘Craig’equation to determine paleotemperatures and their variation in the lake during the past 500 years.Results show that the paleotemperature trend correlates well with meteorological records from Weining.There are four notable cold intervals at Lake Caohai over the past 500 years,namely 1540–1570AD,1670–1715AD,1780–1870AD and 1900–1930AD,and the former three cold intervals have been observed in the conventional Little Ice Age(LIA).These cold periods at Lake Caohai correspond well with those recorded from tree ring,peat,and ice core data from adjacent regions,particularly temperature those inferred fromδ18O of peat cellulose from Hongyuan Southwestern China.The trend in paleotemperature variations at Lake Caohai are also consistent with both the change of Indian summer monsoon,derived fromδ18O values of a stalagmite in Dongge,and a recorded shift in solar activity.The findings of this study illustrate that coupled analysis ofδ18O values of cellulose and carbonates from lake sediments may be used as a paleotemperature proxy.These results also provide further evidence of the existence of LIA in southwestern China. | ZHU ZhengJie CHEN JingAn ZENG Yan | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,6: | 4 |
| 9 | Co_9S_8 nanowires@NiCo LDH nanosheets arrays on nickel foams towards efficient overall water splitting显示文摘Water electrolysis is considered to be an effective way to fabricate hydrogen, and it is desirable to find the highly efficient, inexpensive and good durability bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water splitting.In this paper, we synthesis a unique structured catalyst that was composed by Co_9S_8 nanowires and nickel cobalt layered double hydroxide(NiCo-LDH) nanosheets. The ultrathin nanosheets decorated on the Co_9S_8 nanoarrays offer large specific surface area, numerous active edge sites and excellent electrical conductivity for fast electron transfer. Benefiting from this heterogeneous structure, the catalyst presents excellent catalytic performance in alkaline media. It requires 168 mV to reach current density of 10 mA/cm^2 for HER and 278 m V to reach current density of 30 mA/cm^2 for OER. | 18 | Joint estimation of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) over China using a knowledge-informed neural network显示文摘China has currently entered a critical stage of coordinated control of fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))and ozone(O_(3)),it is thus of tremendous value to accurately acquire high-resolution PM_(2.5) and O_(3) data.In contrast to traditional studies that usually separately estimate PM_(2.5) and O_(3),this study proposes a knowledge-informed neural network model for their joint estimation,in which satellite observations,reanalysis data,and ground station measurements are used.The neural network architecture is designed with the shared and specific inputs,the PM_(2.5)-O_(3) interaction module,and the weighted loss function,which introduce the prior knowledge of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) into neural network modeling.Cross-validation(CV)results indicate that the inclusion of prior knowledge can improve the estimation accuracy,with R^(2) increasing from 0.872 to 0.911 and from 0.906 to 0.937 for PM_(2.5) and O_(3) estimation under samplebased CV,respectively.In addition,the proposed joint estimation model achieves comparable performance with the separate estimation model,but with higher efficiency.Mapping results of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) derived by the proposed model have demonstrated interesting findings in the spatial and temporal trends and variations over China. | Tongwen Li Qianqian Yang Yuan Wang Jingan Wu | 2023 | Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,2: | 1 |
