1Foundation Study on Wireless Big Data: Concept, Mining, Learning and Practices显示文摘Facing the development of future 5 G, the emerging technologies such as Internet of things, big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence is enhancing an explosive growth in data traffic. Radical changes in communication theory and implement technologies, the wireless communications and wireless networks have entered a new era. Among them, wireless big data(WBD) has tremendous value, and artificial intelligence(AI) gives unthinkable possibilities. However, in the big data development and artificial intelligence application groups, the lack of a sound theoretical foundation and mathematical methods is regarded as a real challenge that needs to be solved. From the basic problem of wireless communication, the interrelationship of demand, environment and ability, this paper intends to investigate the concept and data model of WBD, the wireless data mining, the wireless knowledge and wireless knowledge learning(WKL), and typical practices examples, to facilitate and open up more opportunities of WBD research and developments. 2Exploring the Road to 6G: ABC-Foundation for Intelligent Mobile Networks显示文摘The 5 th generation(5 G)mobile networks has been put into services across a number of markets,which aims at providing subscribers with high bit rates,low latency,high capacity,many new services and vertical applications.Therefore the research and development on 6 G have been put on the agenda.Regarding demands and characteristics of future 6 G,artificial intelligence(A),big data(B)and cloud computing(C)will play indispensable roles in achieving the highest efficiency and the largest benefits.Interestingly,the initials of these three aspects remind us the significance of vitamin ABC to human body.In this article we specifically expound on the three elements of ABC and relationships in between.We analyze the basic characteristics of wireless big data(WBD)and the corresponding technical action in A and C,which are the high dimensional feature and spatial separation,the predictive ability,and the characteristics of knowledge.Based on the abilities of WBD,a new learning approach for wireless AI called knowledge+data-driven deep learning(KD-DL)method,and a layered computing architecture of mobile network integrating cloud/edge/terminal computing,is proposed,and their achievable efficiency is discussed.These progress will be conducive to the development of future 6 G.Jinkang Zhu Ming Zhao Sihai Zhang Wuyang Zhou 2020China Communications2020,17,6:8
3Capacity-Power Consumption and Energy-Efficiency Evaluation of Green Wireless Networks显示文摘In this paper,we discuss in detail the basic issue of green design and consider an energy efficiency function as the metric to evaluate green cellular networks.Specifically,we investigate the transmit power required for an expected transmission capacity and propose a capacity-power formula based on the energy conservation and the Shannon capacity theorem.Two novel definitions of cell interference depth and handoff dynamic model are introduced and the corresponding expression of energy efficiency function is derived.Numerical results show that the energy efficiency function is closely correlated with the transmitted/received power required and the cell radius.Our work provides a useful basis for research and evaluation on green design and technology of cellular networks.Zhu Jinkang 2012China Communications2012,9,2:6
4Energy Efficiency Optimization in Relay-Assisted Networks with Energy Harvesting Relay Constraints显示文摘In this paper we consider data transmission in a decode-and-forward(DF)relay-assisted network in which the relay is energy harvesting(EH) powered while the base station(BS) is power-grid powered.Our purpose is to maximize the BS's energy efficiency(EE) while making full use of the relay's renewable energy and satisfying the specific average throughput requirements.In contrast to existing literature on energy harvesting system which only considers the radio transmission power,we take the static circuit power into account as well.We formulate the EE optimization problem and prove that the EE of the BS and relay are both quasiconvex in the instantaneous transmission rate.Then we divide the complex optimization problem into two point-to-point link level optimization parts and propose an energyefficient resource allocation(EERA) scheme in which power control and sleep mode management are jointly used.The simulation results demonstrate that EERA may achieve good energy saving effects.We also compare the EE of an energy harvesting relay system with a power-grid powered one and provide more insight into the EE problem of energy harvesting relay system.ZHAO Ming ZHAO Jing ZHOU Wuyang ZHU Jinkang ZHANG Sihai 2015China Communications2015,12,2:4
5Low complexity power control approach based on MMSE detection for V-BLAST显示文摘A low complexity Per-Antenna Power Control (PAPC) approach based on Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) detection for V-BLAST is proposed in this paper. The PAPC approach is developed for minimizing the Bit Error Rate (BER) averaged over all substreams when the data throughput and the total transmit power keep constant over time. Simulation results show that the Power-controlled V-BLAST (P-BLAST) outperforms the conventional V-BLAST in terms of BER performance with MMSE detector, especially in presence of high spatial correlation between antennas. However, the additional complexity for P-BLAST is not high. 6Benefits Analysis of Beam Hopping in Satellite Mobile System with Unevenly Distributed Traffic显示文摘Satellite mobile system and space-airground integrated network have a prominent superiority in global coverage which plays a critical role in remote and non-land regions, as well as emergency communications. However, due to the gradual angle attenuations of the satellite antennas, it is difficult to achieve full frequency multiplex among different beams as terrestrial 5G network. Multi-color frequency reuse is widely adopted in both academic and industry. Beam hopping scheme has attracted the attention of researchers recently due to the allocation flexibility. In this paper, we focus on analyzing the performance benefits of beam hopping compared with multi-color frequency reuse scheme in non-uniform user and traffic distributions in satellite system. Aerial networks are also introduced to form a space-airground integrated network for coverage enhancement,and the capacity improvement is analyzed. Besides,additional improved techniques are provided to make comprehensive analysis and comparisons.
